ISync Nokia E62

Dear All,
I have an iBook G4 MacOS X.4.11 and iSync 2.4. I have also a Nokia E62.
Used to sync the calendars and contacts using Bluetooth, but I don't know what happened, the procedure is not working anymore. The problem is that I can send the mobile's info to the iBook, but not the other way round
Deleted all the settings and reconfigured again, but it didn't work!
What can be done? I guess it's a configuration issue... Probably on the phone...
Thanks for any help,
Aldo

If it was going to mess it up I wouldn't suggest it!!
Resetting the sync history is always the first thing you should try when you have syncing problems.
But if you're worried, make sure you make a backup of the data in your Address Book and iCal first (you should do this anyway).

  • Nokia E62 and iSync 2.4

    Hello,
I am considering purchasing a Nokia E62, and I know that the new version of iSync (2.4) now supports this phone. I was wondering if anyone has tried paring the phone over Bluetooth and whether the sync works well or not. Thanks.

The E62 supports both USB and Bluetooth syncing, so pairing the phone over Bluetooth is an essential part of the setup process if you choose to sync via Bluetooth. If you couldn't pair it, you wouldn't be able to sync via BT, and it wouldn't be listed as BY sync compatible.
What do you mean by 'the sync works well'?
As the phone is officially supported by iSync then of course it means it does sync well - otherwise it wouldn't be listed as an iSync supported device.

  • Nokia E62 wont Isync

Just purchased Nokia E62 Because it is officially listed on Apple site as iSync Compatible Device Nokia says no only Europe not USA I did try all the hack German plugins but none of them work and I only have the USB cable as bluetooth was not included by apple on their top of the line G5 Quad. The phone does show up in system profile and as a external drive just no Isync. No problem with the same set up with Razr v3xx and that is not even listed as being Isync capatable any solutions any plugins that work for E62?

I solved my problem by buying a USB Bluetooth Adapter for $29 I read in another post they were having problems with a Nokia phone and they also were trying to sync with the USB cord so to all who have problems With their Cell phones and Isync this could be your solution use Bluetooth OS10.4.9 and Isync and see if that works

  • Cannot pair Nokia E62 with Address Book

I could not pair my Nokia E62 with Address Book after updating to 10.4.9 and decided, along with other reasons, to erase and install my OS. After all the updates were finished, I ended up with the same result. iSync recognizes my phone and works properly, however, Address Book will not pair no matter what I do. If you have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!
    Thank you,
    Rybo

It appears that Mac OS X Tiger version 10.4.9 does not currently support receiving SMS messages through AddressBook, at least with the Nokia E62.

  • Is it possible to integrate Nokia E62 with Cisco Call Manager 4.x?

The Nokia E-61 can be integrated with Cisco Call manager 4.x using a Nokia Call Connect 1.0 client.
1.Is it possible to do the same with Nokia E62.If it can be done, what would be the requirements?
2.Is Nokia E-62 PDA a Cisco Compatible Extension device?

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. You are right in saying that nokia and cisco are increasing the number of models supported.Infact the E65 has already joined the club. But my point of interest is the nokia E62 in particular. This Nokia E62 device
    1) does not support WLAN interface(while E61,E65 does).
    2) It is not Cisco Commpatible extension device.(I did not find E62 in the list of Cisco Compatible extensions.chk out the attachments for more info).
3)It is not compatible with Nokia Intellisync CAll Connect 1.0(while E61 and E65 are compatible.chk out the attachment for more info).
I found this rather weird and i wondered if Nokia E62 can be integrated with Cisco Call manager ,especially a device which is not Cisco compatible. The only possibility i can see from your answer is that the Nokia E62 might not be SIP enabled(correct me if i am wrong here!)
My objective is to send a message from a CUAE script to a nokia E62 device. Please excuse me if my posting is not in the right place.i would be highly grateful to you if you could give me pointers to an appropiate location where i can get my queries answered.

  • Nokia Suite doesn't detect Nokia E62

I tried to connect my Nokia E62 with the usb to my comp and I can not get it to detect it. It keeps asking for the driver. I installed everything. I am using Motorola SKN6371C usb cable which  I was told was suppose to work. Is this the problem?

Nokia cables will work definitely with Nokia PC Suite, because the necessary drivers are bundled with the software. That's why when you're connecting a compatible Nokia cable to PC Suite, you will see a little message during the set up process that states it's installing drivers.
Based on your description, your Motorola cable will need to have the drivers installed first before installing PC Suite. I suggest you check with Motorola or go to their website to see if they provide the driver file for download and install that before you re-install Nokia PC Suite after uninstalling it like radical24 said.
Just bear in mind, it may not work since you're not using a recommended cable. Can try though.

  • Connection my old Nokia E62 via Bluetooth to Iphone

I would like to connect my old Nokia E62 to the Iphone using the bluetooth to transfer some music and pictures. I do not know my Iphone bluetooth passcode. Is there a factory setting?

Take the LG SIM card and put it in your iPhone. This explains how: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1438
Then, Import contacts from a SIM: Choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars,” then tap Import SIM Contacts.

  • Pairing Tungsten E2 with Nokia E62

I've searched the posts for an answer but couldn't find anything.  Has anybody paired a Tungsten E2 with a Nokia E62?  I can't get the E2 to send/receive e-mail.  If anyone has the settings, let me know.
    Thanks
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

I understood your question, yet you didn't reply to mine...
Palm's drivers for Nokia devices are quite old.  You may want to try some of NovaMedia's drivers.  (Try before you buy!)

  • Nokia e62 - IM Alert Tone

I have a Nokia e62 I purchased about a year ago. I recently started using Yahoo's Instant Messaging (IM) and have realized that I cannot set an alert tone for the IM in the profiles. It's not even an option. However, if I choose Help, it lists IM Alert Tone. Does anyone know how I can set this up? I talked to ATT/Cingular and they don't have a clue. I've looked on Nokia's website and cannot find software updates for the e62. HELP!
I really hope this makes sense. Thanks.

First if you want some tones check out
    http://www.tehkseven.net/ringtone/mp3-ringtones.html
And when I assign for message alert I go Settings-Profiles-General-Personalise-Message Alert Tone(tap)-then have options of Download,Tones,Songs,Video Clips, and sound clips. I select songss-Albums (coz its easier to check 'unknown' where tones end up than all songs) then just select the tone that I dragged to music file from computer after download and use it. Works for me !
    Good Luck

  • Nokia E62 and iSync

Does anyone know of a way to get these two to work. I just purchased an E62 assuming it would be supported because the E61 is. Anyone know of a plugin or hack. I've tried all the ones for the E61 but cant get any to work

I just got a E62 and would like to try your plugin. Can I use a credit card and download? Can I try it first?
I need specific instructions on how to install the plugin. Do you offer such instructions?
    Thanks!!

  • Leopard's iSync & Nokia N73

    Hi,
I used Leopard's (10.5.1) iSync flawlessly with my Nokia N73. But, when I upgraded N73's firmware to the 4.0735.3.0.2 version, iSync can't connect with N73.
I've tried to delete and recreate the pair between my MacBook Pro and the Nokia and it can't finish linking, with an infinite "Desovering device's services".

I upgraded my firmware on the N73 before seeing this thread & now have lost Bluetooth connectivity too. This is a big issue for me & found an interesting thread over on Nokia's forum: http://discussions.nokia.co.uk/discussions/board/message?board.id=connectivity&t hread.id=13559&view=bydateascending&page=1
It seems like Nokia are aware of the problem but putting their fingers in their ears & risking the migration of a whole lot of Mac users...

  • ISync Nokia 8800

BTFE works fine with my Nokia 8800 but I can't get it to sync - the bluetooth connection drops on the handset.
It's listed as compatible with iSync on the Support site. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, are there any known workarounds?
Imac Intel Core 2 Duo   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

This is a Nokia Series 40 mobile phone. The series indicates the operating system on a Nokia. A Nokia Series 60, 80 or 90 is based on Symbian OS. Nokia Series 30 and 40 are based on Nokia's own operating system.
Apple iSync 1.5 and 2.1 supports Symbian OS based mobile phones but no Nokia Series 40 phones. Search for the various topics about the Nokia 6230 and have a look at MacMedia PhoneDirector.

  • ISync NOKIA 5000d-2

Starting this topic because it seems the issue of enabling iSync for the Nokia 5000d-2 has not been fully resolved for everyone (um... me, for example).
The previous FIX posted for the Nokia 5000 is here: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=8301445#8301445
... and I had success with it INITIALLY (ie- the very first sync!). Now, I always get the following error:
[Nokia 5000d-2] There was an error getting data from the phone. The synchronization may have been canceled on the phone.
    Device “Nokia 5000d-2” synchronization failed.
The phone itself says that: "Data transfer not possible. Check data connection."
But, there is no problem with the data connection... I can connect via Bluetooth and transfer files all day and all night!
I have made the adjustment in the XML file prescribed, using "<string>Nokia+Nokia 5000d-2</string>" INSTEAD of the version for the Nokia 5000; "<string>Nokia+Nokia 5000</string>"
Ok... so lets here from the masters of disaster out there! And, in the spirit of the Mac user's community: "Shame on you Apple for not making an effort to keep iSync up-to-daye with this very very popular phone!"

The phone itself says that: "Data transfer not possible. Check data connection."
But, there is no problem with the data connection... I can connect via Bluetooth and transfer files all day and all night!
Syncing is different to file transfer and uses completely different Bluetooth profiles.
You might have some corrupt data in one or more of your Contacts or Calendars. Try syncing only contacts or only calendars, then try syncing individual Address Book groups and individual calendars to narrow down where the problem is.
"Shame on you Apple for not making an effort to keep iSync up-to-daye with this very very popular phone!"
It's not Apple's responsibility to support Nokia's phones. Why don't you ask Nokia why they haven't released an iSync Plugin for the 5000-d, when they have for so many more of their phones?

  • ISync & Nokia 6300

    Hi all,
I seem to be having problems with the above!
If i try to sync i get the message "iSync can not connect to this device"
I have looked through various posts and on the Nokia website and i cant seem to find out why!!!
Am i doing something wrong or is it that this fone is not compatible?
    Thanks for any help!!!

Did you check Apple's iSync Supported Devices page?
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/devices.html
If so, you should've seen that the Nokia 6300 is not supported by iSync.
However, it is supported by third-party iSync plugins which have been mentioned on here many times, and can be found by typing into the search box top-right.
