ISync shifts appointments to 1 hour later after synchronization

Hi !
My computer is under Mac OS X snow leopard. The computer clock is set to "summer time" and the timezone is set to GMT+1. The phone is a Sony Ericsson K550im. The phone clock is also set to summer time and the timezone is set to GMT+1. I synchronize it with iSync via bluetooth. The problem is that the appointments in iCal are shifted to 1 hour later. Which means if the appointment is 1:30 PM in iCal. After synchronization, it is recored in the phone calendar at 2:30 PM. That is a problem because I can not trust in the appointments written in the phone.
I found a temporary solution to avoid this problem by setting the phone to GMT+0, and then by setting the phone clock to the current time. But I would prefer to avoid such hacks.
Has anybody any other solution?
Regards,
Xavier

Sony Ericsson phones do not handle the Summer/Winter clocks change very well. Events after the next clocks change will be 1 hour out until that change passes.
If you re-sync after the clocks change now (October), the events should be fine again, until the next clock change in March.
There is no permanent solution to this - it is caused by the buggy Sony Ericsson calendar.

    Hi Benjamins,
I've checked your account—you have two ExportPDF subscriptions. One placed on October 20 2013, and the other placed on October 11 of this year. So, you were probably charged the auto renewal for the subscription placed in 2013, and then the new charge for this year's order.
Please Contact Customer Care so that an agent can help get things situated for you. There's no reason to have two subscriptions to the same service, so an agent can help you cancel one, if you'd like.

  • My iMac screen keeps showing pixels of previously opened documents and Safari tabs and hour or two after closing them. The shadow of those opened documents are still there hours later after shutting down and restarting my computer. What is happening

My iMac screen keeps showing pixels of previously opened documents and Safari tabs and hour or two after closing them.
Even when I swipe to the dashboard the outlines are still there when I know they should not be.

What is happening and what shall I do? Thanks in advance.

  • All Calendar appointments shifted 1 hour later after DST went into effect.

After this year's (2011) DST went into effect my wife's and my pre's appointments all shifted one hour later.  This was for appointments both before and after March 15 and also for appointments input into both a palm profile and also google appointments.  In looking at the forums this appears to have been a problem last year but I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this issue this year.  Both of our phones have been running 1.4.5 since it was made available.
I online chatted with customer service and also called.  They had me try toggling airplane mode, turning airplane mode off then turning network time and network time zone off manually selecting the mountain time zone and then turning everything back on.  They also had me do a data reset on the phone.  None of these worked.  Lastly they had me manually set the time zone to Chihuahua, Mexico which is on mountain standard time.  This shifted the appointments back to their original time but the clock now was off by a hour earlier.

Same problem here. How could they not have this fixed by now? Anyone have the golden answer?

  • Tasks Run 1 Hour Late after DST Change

I'm running Apple Remote Desktop 3.1 on an iMac to control 52 other iMacs. I have about 30 scheduled tasks that run throughout the week.
Since the Daylight Saving Time change, all of the tasks run an hour late.
All of the computers (admin and client) are running Mac OS X 10.4.9 and have the DST update installed. All computer clocks are set to the correct time and the correct time zone (MDT) and are set via Apple's server. I have verified and even rescheduled the time on most of the tasks, yet they continue to execute one hour behind schedule.
    Anyone have a fix?

I thought the same thing about January - I have a few daily tasks that originated in January of this year. However, even after repeatedly resetting the time - and date - my tasks are still an hour off. I just tested one: while my ARD admin machine's clock read 4:15pm I tried to schedule the task for today at 3:15pm. 3:15 didn't work, but 3:16pm did. For the moment I've just moved all my times forward one hour.
Annoying, but I don't have a better solution. April 1st is when the time was supposed to change; perhaps everything will return to normal then.

  • Why do my appts show 2 hours later after I sync them from my iMac to my iPad? Both are set to same city/timezone

Every time I sync my iPad with my I Mac my iCal appts from the iMac show up 2 hours later in the iPad Calendar. I thought I was going to be done with this sort of problem when I got the iPad (vs years of trying to sync Palm Pilots to Mac.) yes, both are set to the same time zone, the one where I am currently located.

Thank you King. I tried deleting the cache but that did not fix the problem.
I did fix the probem as follows:
exported all photos from the event in iPhoto into a new desktop folder on my Mac
deleted those same photos within iPhoto (put them into Trash)
    emtied Trash in iPhoto
    restarted iPad and Mac
imported photos from desktop folder which created a new event in iPhoto
syned iPad to Mac via USB cable
Now all the photos in the event on my Mac are also in the event on my iPad.

  • Calendar Alerts 1 Hour Late

Suddenly my calendar (Exchange) appointments are 1 hour late, they are correct in my Outlook and were working correctly last week from what i remember.
I've tried disabling the "Set Automatically" on the Date & Time screen, Turned off/on the phone, reset the phone. Only thing i haven't done is reload, I'm hoping it wont come to that.
    Any idea's?

Nevermind, i'm new to iPhone and didn't realize there was an additional timezone setting in the calendar settings...

  • Email appointments end up 1 hour late in iPad calendar

I've read other posts about this, but I don't seem able to work around the following:
When I get an Outlook appointment in email, clicking on the attachment enters the attachment into my iPad's calendar one hour later than my Macbook does in iCal with the same email.
I theorized this was DST-related so:
I turned the iPad's "Set Time Automatically" OFF in General/Date & Time, and set time manually.
I turned "Time Zone Support" OFF in both the General/Date & Time and Mail/Contacts/Calendar sections.
I've tried all combinations and rebooting, even. No difference.
The bottom line is that Mac OS X 10.6.5 gets it right; iPad iOS 4.2.1 does not.
This looks like a bug in iOS 4.2.1.
    Ideas, anyone?

I had this problem with my iPhone. During the last update it changed my calendar setting to the defualt.
Not sure if its the same with an iPad... but
Go to settings: --then to mail,contacts,Calendar:-- go down to Calendars and change or make sure your time zone support is your location.
I went to 4 appointments an hour late. I was so upset.

What exactly happens when you try to open the project? Do you get an error message? Does Premiere crash? Hang?

Can you create a new project?

  • After installing IOS4 alarm ring 1 hour later

After upgrading IOS4 if alarm set's to ring only in some week day, it's ringing one hour later than set's. if alarm set for ring only one time it's working normaly

Same for me with an iPhone 3G... Probably it is something about time zones but why are Lithuanians and people of Sri Lanka punished only???
UPDATE: Yes, people, the problem is connected with particular time zones. I have just used the method mentioned earlier and have set my time zone to Helsinky/Finland (the same GMT+3 after DST started as in LTU) and alarm went off accurately! There are two possibilities now: 1) keeping 'home' time zone and setting the alarm one hour earlier or 2) living on Finnish time and waiting for the update of iOS4...
Hey, Apple, can you solve this?

  • Outlook sync after Eastern Standard Time Change-All events are 1 hour late

After sync'ing with outlook this past weekend, all my iphone calendar events are 1 hour late. the Eastern Standard Time change must have affected this. The time on my phone and my laptop are the same however. Anyone experienced the same issue?

I had a similar problem with iCal, my Treo 650, and Missing Sync. I found a solution on the Missing Sync website that worked for me -- see my post at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5453855&#5453855.

  • IPhone iCal bug- appointments suddenly 1 hour off

After 2 days of searching and 1 hour on tech support, I've concluded Apple has a bug with iCal on iPhone that still needs to be addressed.
I realized 2 days ago after missing a scheduled conference call that my iCal appointments on my iPhone (3GS) were all showing 1 hour ahead AFTER March 23 (that FYI did NOT coincide with the recent shift to Daylight Savings Time, which I originally thought could be the culprit).
I'm a seasoned Mac/iPhone user (one of the early adopters of iPhone) and this iCal problem just showed up out of the blue.
I searched Apple Discussions and found other instances of this in recent years, and tried every recommended fix:
--Ensured all time zone settings on Mac and iPhone were correct and matched at EST/New York (general AND iCal)
--Tried toggling time zone support off then on again on iPhone
--Tried turning time zone support on and off, in every conceivable combination, on both Mac and iPhone
--Tried posting new entries on the Mac iCal, but same problem: a new 5pm ET appointment on Mac showed up as 6pm on iPhone
    --Rebooted
After an hour of troubleshooting, the tech support person today said the only thing they could suggest is a complete restore of iPhone, NOT using previously stored info-- meaning, among other things, many text messages of sentimental value to me would be lost forever.
Eventually, my Mac iCal entries got messed up too, overridden by the incorrect iPhone ones (fortunately only after March 23).
Ready to give up, I tried changing "bad" appointment times on the iPhone to see if Mac iCal would match them upon sync. THEY DID!
So then I deleted every single appointment on my Mac iCal after March 23, created entirely new appointments (putting correct time for each in the title for every entry in case this happens again), then synched: For now, everything matches.
I've lost about 5 hours on this that I didn't have to spare.
APPLE: PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS. My iPhone is my "Blackberry"-- I rely on it for work and tell other PC "power users" that it's totally reliable. This has shaken my faith...

    bruce1964,
Are your Mac, go to the Date & Time preferences. Is it set to set date and time automatically, and pulling time information from Apple Americas/U.S. Time?
    Is the Time Zone correct?
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • Cal alarms tell me events are an hour later

my ical alarms tell me events are an hour later than actually put into ical.
i live +1 hour GMT, but have time zone support on.
    ideas?

After a good few hours speaking to Tier 2 Applecare, the problem hasn't been fixed. It may be a hardware issue with the iPod or Mac....
Bearing in mind I live abroad, in a non-English speaking land, using MobileMe.
    Here was their suggestion:
1 Open iSync - go to Preferences - reset history
2 Open System Preferences - International - Format - choose your country
3 Open iCal and check it matches your location, date and time
4 Still in Sys Prefs, go to MobileMe - Sync and sync now
    *Option two!*
What I've done is a workaround:
1 Set Time Zone Support to London on the ipod, in Mail, Contacts & Calendars
2 In General Date & Time settings it's set for +1GMT, where I live
    - this meant manually resetting the time to be correct
3 while enabling language/location settings on my Mac
This means iCal will be in a foreign language on the Mac, which is ok if you speak it.
Nevertheless, in syncing, it takes a couple of times to match between Mac and iPod.
If anyone has something better, please let me know.
