ISync (v2.3) with Siemens S56

My phone is on the supported devices list, and I know I've used it with iSync in the past, with older computers and versions of iSync, but now I can't get it to work with the current version of iSync on my iMac.
When I select "Add Device..." in iSync, it prompts me to enter a pairing key, which works, and I enter the key into my phone and computer, and both devices indicate that they are connected. My phone shows up in the "Add Device" window, but with an orange circle next to it, and the note "iSync can not connect to this device."
Anybody have any ideas?

Works now. Not sure what did the trick.

  • I would like to use DasyLab for a research project with Siemens PLC

I would like to use DasyLab with Siemens PLC Simatic S7-300. Which OPC Server shall I use?
I would like a manual for connecting DasyLab via OPC server to the PLC if it is possible.
Could I use NI OPC Servers which are compatible with LabView?
    Thank you for your help

I believe that Siemens has an OPC server that you can purchase.
KepWare has the KepServer and drivers for Siemens www.kepware.com.
DASYLab has the Help menu with the instructions for the OPC DA modules. It's straightforward - configure the OPC server with the necessary drivers and connections (tags). Update rates are in milliseconds, for example, 100 ms is typical. You need to know your device and driver, to determine data types.
Once configured, KepServer has an OPC quick client to allow you to test your settings.
Then, add the OPC DA module to DASYLab, connect to the server, and select the tags to read or write.
Note that it's simple to set up on a single computer - to set up on multiple computers requires assistance from your It team to correctly configure the DCOM permissions. That's specific to the OPC server.

Measurement Computing (MCC) has free technical support. Visit www.mccdaq.com and click on the "Support" tab for all support options, including DASYLab.

  • Someone using isync on tiger with Nokia 6600 successfully?

    Hi all

  • LabVIEW with Siemens hardware communication

My application has Siemens AC Drive with Siemens PC CP5613 card being provided. Communication with the drive is thru' Profibus with LabVIEW. Does LabVIEW have a direct interface to communicate with Siemens CPS5613 card.

    Hi!
No, unfortunately direct communication between LabVIEW and this card is impossible. (Theoretically you can looking for examples, which delivered with this card and calling DLLs for accessing, r/w Dual-Port RAM and so on, directly from LabVIEW, or over DLL-wrapper, but this not very easy). So, better way - using OPC server, which normally delivered with this card. Over OPC you can get access to Profibus. You can use OPC.SimaticNET server, or OPC.SimaticNET.DP (inline) server. Better way - using over LabVIEW DSC, but you can also to get acces over DataSocket without DSC (if you have not more than 30 items for reading and writing)
    With best regards...

  • Using cRIO Profibus master/slave module with Siemens device. Looking for GSD file

Using cRIO Profibus master/slave module with Siemens device. Looking for GSD file. Would NI or Siemens be able to provide this?

    Hey Kurt,
For Profibus, only the slave needs to be defined with the GSD file, so you would likely get that from Siemens if their device is acting as the Slave in this setup. If you are using the NI Profibus module as a slave, then the GSD is automatically included with the driver.
Take a look at the following article for more info on how to use the included GSD file.

  • Lync 2013 Intergration with Siemens HiPath 4000 and HiPath 3500

    Dear All,
We have implemented Lync 2013 with 2 FE , 1 PChat , 1 OWA and 2 Edge Server (DNS Load Balancing with NAT) , we are now in the next phase where we need to provide complete voice integration,
The customer is currently using Siemens HiPath 4000 at main office and Siemens HiPath 3800 and HiPath 3500 at the Branch offices,
    Our scope is as under,
    1) As first part intergrade the we have to integrate it with Siemens HiPath 4000 , with below features,
    a) Lync User ability to dial via the PRI Lines
    b) Lync User to receive Calls made to their  Siemens extension on Lync Client ( Simultaneous ringing or enabling mobility (Similar to Cisco Mobility- When DID calls come they ring both on physical phone and Lync Client)
    c) Features Such as Call forwarding , Hunt Groups , Integrated Exchange 2010 UM support ,
Finally Since we need to phase out Siemens we  would have SBC 2000 gateway
We have 5 PRI lines going to Siemens HiPath , post this we would transfer one of the lesser used PRI to SBC 2000 , while maintaining complete functionality,
A similar setup would also be done at the Branch Office , except that we would be having SBC 1000 at one of the branch offices and Sangoma Lync Express at the other Branch Offices,
    What we need ,
    1) Design related suggestions
    2) Implementation related challenges and hurdles
    3) Dos and Donts , we do not want to over commit the client and then regret,
    4) Any kind of Guide and similar scenarios implemented by other , step by step documents,
    5) Best Practices , limitations and things to avoid, Suggestions
    Thanks and Regards,
    Hasan Reza

    Dear All ,
I am sure all you guys who have advised me are much more experienced and have a better understanding of Voice,
I would like to rest my solution based on below design , before I submit the same to the customer, Need one final check list , Pls advise / confirm ,
Also please help me with the pre-requisites that  I need to go to client with ? If there is something missing pls highlight
Looking at the changed design ,
    Here is call flow
    1) Calls comes via ---> PRI to Siemens HiPath
    2) Hipath locally routes the call if the Extension is present in the Local System
    3) If not then call is sent to Sip Trunk that would be accepted by the Sonus 2000
    4) Sonus would then forward to the call to Lync 2013
    5) Lync 2013 establishes the call with Lync Client
In this scenario , what would be the impact on below
    0) Can we have same series of extension , for example (4001, 4002 , 4003 on traditional PABX , and have 4101,4102,4103 on Lync 2013)
    1) Conference calls between Lync and Traditional PABX Systems
    2) Currently all the Extension are configured with DID nos , any out going calls has the users DID no , after a user is moved to Lync 2013 , then the DID number associated with user , how would that behave ?
    3) Can from a  I transfer a user and his/her PRI to Sonus, or I should transfer the entire PRI Bunch,
    4) Will there be an impact on caller ID , MOH (Music on Hold) , Hunt groups,
    5) Will the same concept be used for Branch Offices as well ?
Please pardon my queries but if the above are made clear I am sure many people would benefit from this blog.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Hasan Reza

  • Cisco BE6k with CUCM 10.X integration with Siemens with Hipath 3350 and 3550

    Dear Experts;
We have one requirment from customer.
They have 4 branches with Siemens Hipath 3350 and 3550  PBX and they want to integrate with cisco CUCM 10.x.
The Head Quater with complete CUCM as IPT and branches with with Hipath 3350 and 3550  PBX.
CIsco TAC says interoperability doc is not available and also I can see tehre is no doc.
    TAC Reply  As below.
We do not have any documents about CUCM integration with Hipath 3350 and 3550 on our interoperability portal. This means that their integration with CUCM was never properly tested. So we can not confirm that all features will be working. But from CUCM perspective this is third-party device that can be integrated using SIP or ISDN (with Voice Gateway between them).
    Link for interoperability portal:

    Regards
    Debashis

If the Siemens supports SIP or H323 you can attempt to simply create a trunk between the systems and route calls via it.  If IP integration is not an option then as pointed by TAC integrate via PRI circuit (preferably QSIG). From CUCM side it will be just another GW, similarly from Siemens side.  You'll need to select which side is going to be ISDN network (I always use Cisco side) and then make the other side user.

  • Direct communication with SIEMENS PLC

I am trying to establish a direct connection with a SIEMENS S7 PLC. I donot want to use any card or profibus etc. I want to do it through the Serial Port.
I have used the IA server kit when communicating with SIEMENS S5 for which I used AS511 protocol. I would like to know if there is any such protocol for S7.
    Please Help!!

    Hi.
    I'll try explain it.
All Simatic S5 PLc's processors (CPU90 ,CPU100) have got serial (current loop converted to RS232) physical inteface as standard.
You can program PLC's or communicate with its by AS511 protocol.
S7 Simatics processors (CPU 3xx, CPU4xx) haven't got RS232 interface as standard. RS 232 interface occurs in forms of interface module connected to the rail (slot) and doesn't serve any protocol (simple chracters exchange).
You can program PLC, observe/modify I/O, variables, etc. only by standard RS485 interface using protocols MPI or PROFIBUS (PPI/MPI for Simatic S7-2xx CPU's).
You can try exchange data between Labview and S7 PLC by serial in characters form, but it is very difficult and inconvenient (you have to w
rite own driver for Labview and program for S7).
    Another solutions:
1.PROFIBUS card for PC with drivers for Labview (I don't know if they exist)
2.connection thru OPC server (PLC->PC by PROFIBUS card->OPC server->Labview by Datasocket)
I think second solution is more comfortable.

  • Connecting cRIO with Siemens S7-300 using OPC UA

    Dear all,
I am looking for an example program (labview and siemens S7) to create a connection between a cRIO and a Siemens S7-300 PLC.
If an example program is not possible, some tips and tricks to set this up are also helpfull.
    thanks

    Hello Poema,
I am aware of the different OPC Standards that exist and have worked both with OPC DA and OPC UA.
The previous month I was even working on a demo that implements an OPC UA Server that appropriately taht automatically links the Shared Variable Engine variables to published items with appropriate quality statuses (eg. Open thermocouple detection.
I would suggest you first create an OPC UA server that doesn't require certificates and that we first focus on making that use case work.
This will be easier and afterwards you'll only have to add the certificates.
Can you tell me how you are at this moment seeing/determining that the connection has been made?
Do you have some more details on the "internal siemens driver" you are using?
Personally I'm not so familiar with Siemens OPCs (have only used them via OPC DA).
Therefore, I would like to ask you if you can refer me to a reference document concerning the "internal siemens driver" or configuration manager you are using (or can use) at your side.
I'm actually looking for a document similar to this one for another manufacturer:

  • ISync WONT Sync with Nokia N95 please help!

HI can anyone help me please!
I'm running OSX 10.4.10 on a Macbook pro.
I have downloaded the N95 plug in. - and run it first.
Paired the two (deleted previous pairing)
Ran iSync (2.4(501.2))to add device which sees the N95 and reports that iSync cannot connect to this device.
    What am I doing wrong?
PLEASE help this is frustrating - Ive tried pairing both ways with still no joy!

Hi. I managed to sync my N95 to my iMac by doing the following after downloading the iSync plug in from Nokia.
On the N95 > Menu > Tools > USB > USB mode = PC Suite (I know it's PC Suite- but it syncs for me).
To get photos from the N95 into iPhoto, I changed the USB mode to data transfer.
    Good luck with it!

  • ISync Palm Conduit with third party conduits?

Although we use the iSync Palm conduit to sync our Address Book data to our Palm devices, we use Meeting Maker as our calendar application. This has been fine under Panther...we would turn off calendar syncing in the iSync conduit and the respective data would synchronize properly. But under Tiger, the Palm conduit installed by iSync checks to see if there are third party conduits installed and if so, insists on disabling them. We can manually move the Meeting Maker conduits back into the Conduits directory, but anytime iSync is opened, it gives an alert that conflicting conduits need to be moved. This is most frustrating, especially considering that the whole process ran perfectly under Panther. Is there any fix or hack that can prevent the problem under iSync in Tiger?

Actually, there is a simple fix. Although this step was not necessary under Mac OS X releases prior to Mac OS X 10.4, you now must uncheck the Calendar option in iSync, quit the program, then toss this iSync preference file:
    com.apple.isync.plist
You will find that file here:
    Macintosh HD:Users:<username>:Library:Preferences
When you next launch iSync, that preference file will be recreated, but you will now be able to synchronize your contact data with the Address Book using iSync and your calendaring data with Meeting Maker.

  • Can't sync Palm with Mac through iSync, only syncs with Palm Desktop

I have an older Palm Tungsten T3 that I use basically only to run a medical application that I need at work (ePocrates, which has its own conduit and auto-updates itself with hotsyncs). I haven't tried to sync it to my Mac for a long time. I use iCal for my calendaring needs, sync it with my iPod, and ignore the old stuff that's on the Palm, which I hardly ever even sync.
Today I had to reinstall the Epocrates software, and decided while I was at it I'd try to get the Palm syncing with the Mac (iCal, contacts, etc) again because it would be nice for it to show the same calendar data.
I reinstalled the newest version of Palm Desktop from scratch. Installed the ePocrates software on top of it. I have iSync 2.4. My Palm was not listed as a device initially. I chose "Enable Palm OS Syncing" from the menu; iSync then went through a series of steps in which it disabled several conduits (presumably to no longer sync with the Palm Desktop), then told me to enable the iSync Palm conduit through the HotSync manager, which I did.
I now show the Palm as a device on iSync, but it has a yellow caution icon over it and I'm not sure why. Clicking on it shows an options dialog. I chose for the first sync I wanted to erase everything on the device and then sync with the Mac. My syncs appear to work, but when the data is checked it seems to sync only with Palm Desktop. The old junky data on the Palm was not erased as requested. Newer calendar events and contacts from my Mac have not made it to the Palm. The ePocrates auto update conduit is working fine but that's the only part that is.
Any idea what's incompatible, or what I'm doing wrong here?

I have The Missing Sync and used it to sync my palm TX. I am now in the process of trying to get iCal going properly again. No longer have any calender views in iCal and the week views don't show until I have opened a month view and then go back to the week view. Very bizzare. Also have a heap of untitled calendar views in the drop down list option when looking at the info on any event - these calendar views are not accessible anywhere else though.
I'm not sure if it is Missing Sync or something I did wrong at present. Will also throw the problem to the Missing Sync people to see what they say. Will let you know. It seemed to work really well without needing the palm desktop!

  • CTI Problem in inbound call scenario with Siemens OpenScape Contact Center (CMS)

    Hello Experts,
we are working on a SAP CRM 7.0 EhP 2 with CTI to a CMS from Siemens (OpenScape Contact Center).
The basic integration works perfect, so that agents get informed about incoming calls in their Interaction Center UI and so on.
Currently we have a problem with handling of incoming calls:
When the agent is available (workmode 'ready') and he does not accept the call, the next available agent in the queue gets the call.
So far, so good. The problem is that the calls, the agent did not accept, do not disappear in the upper right corner. They are counted up to 5 and a timer starts counting up to 600 seconds. When the 600 seconds are reached, the agend gets disconnected from the communication channel, too.
(In case the agent talkes a call again, this counter is reset to again)
Is there any possibility to avoid the signalization of unaccepted calls from CRM side (generally)?
How could we prevent the agent from disconnection after 600 seconds and 5 unaccepted calls from CRM side?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kind regards
    Martin

    Hi Yoro,
do you click on a physical phone button or on the button in the WebUI.
As far is i know, the OpenScape Contact Center does not support hang up funktionallity of the related button in the WebUI.
If you do not use wrapup time (which is used to give the agent time for the data maintenance before he continues receiving calls) the Counter shoud end after the call.
It seams that the OpenScape does not work propperly.
For more details you can take a look into the Log:
    Transaction CRM_ICI_TRACE
You have to set the User Parameter CRM_ICI_TRACELEVEL to value XXX to enable the logging.
    Good Luck!

  • Bluetooth does not work correctly with Siemens Tek Connect headphone device

I hopefully tried the new bluetooth support in OS 3.0, but it does not work with my Siemens Tek Connect headphone device. It syncs as expected, but no sound is heard. I can choose the Tek Connect in the music app and other programs, my headphone (actually my two hearing aids, which are connected wireless with ear to ear communications (e2e) via the Tek Connect necklace device) signals the connection to me (a beep), but nothing is heard. Codec problem?
    Andreas

I own Phonak hearing aids with their Bluetooth-capable iCom device which allows my aids to be used as a phone headset and also supports the A2DP stereo bluetooth profile. My iPod Touch 2Gen 32GB is able to play to my hearing aids properly.
One thing I noticed is that the iPod does not allow you to control the volume when using Bluetooth. It expects the headphones to be able to control the volume. Have you used your hearing aids as Bluetooth headphones on any other device? Maybe the device isn't programmed properly to set the volume while in headphones mode. I know my audiologist had to program the volume on each mode separately on my device.
My MacBook Pro is able to play music over Bluetooth to my hearing aids fine. But I have never gotten Windows to work properly sending audio to my hearing aids. Do you have a Mac with Bluetooth? Try to get that working to see if it's your hearing aid device that's causing the trouble or not.
