ISync with Motorola PEBL U9

Is it possible to use ISync to synchronize contacts with the brand new Motorola ROKR PEBL U9? I have tried to do it connecting the cell phone through USB and Bluetooth, but ISync does not recognize the cell phone when I connect it through the USB Port, and it says that it is not compatible with the cell phone when I try to make a connection through Bluetooth. Please let me know if there is a way to do it. Thanks!

Hey if want to sync just your contacts. Go to your phone settings and change your connection settings to memory card. Even if you dont have one. it will connect as your phone's memory. What you can do is. Move each vCard from address book and put it in your phone's memory. From there, when in your phone's address book go to add a contact then go to from memory. Its simple. But it is true that a isync plugin would be more helpful

  • Using Isync with a Motorola U9 phone

I have been looking to buy one of these phones, I live in Mexico and work in the United States, so there are alot of things I need to know and alot of things I want to know before buying a phone. As I expect it to work seamlessly in both countries.
How it will work with my mac is obviously one of my biggest questions. In searching for this answer I have come across many post/questions and several sites from people wondering why they can't use isync with the phone, even though it is listed as a compatible phone. Well as I have discovered over the years, as i need an unlocked phone to work in both countries, service providers lock their phones for several reasons, 1. so when they **** you off you cant go to another company without buying a new phone as well, and 2. so you have to pay extra to get service that your phone has thru them, a good example of this is if your phone has a MP3 players, the company with the slogan "Get it Now", really means you can get in now but only thru them, for money. 3. I'm sure there is at least a 3! So even though you might own that new Brittany CD, you will have to buy every song at (usually) $2.99 or more, if you want to use them as MP3's or ringtones. Some phone that company locks more that 50% of the features so you either have to buy from them, of they are not set up to do the hight tech stuff your phone was. (I'm sure thats more an issue with phones from asia!)
On the second hand you have to pay to have a phone unlocked, wether you buy the stuff to do it yourself, or someone else does it, if it is the latter it can take several days with some phones.
Your best option is to only buy unlocked phones in the future, we need to stop the telecom companies taking advantage of us!
Well i hope this helps someone, i could reply to any specific post.

I found the answer, for those who are interested.

  • Syncing photos etc with Motorola v235

I have a Motorola v235 with camera and mp3 but cannot be recognized by my Powermac G4 with OS 10.4.10 & isync 2.2- help?

There IS in fact an iSync Plugin for the V235.
    http://www.faqintosh.com/risorse/en/othutil/isync/plugin/motorola/
I've used it a couple of times under 10.3.9 (and it's actually for the 10.4 and up version of iSync, but it works LOL) but it does update the Calendar on the phone using iCal. It doesn't download any pictures or anything though. I've been looking for a program that would let me see it as a removable device in the Finder, so I could move files to it more easily.

  • Bluetooth Help/ Motorola Pebl

    Hi all,
I have searched this forum and many others for an answer. Most have posted that they can get farther than I, any suggestions would be great. So here it goes.
I am having diffaculties with my bluetooth and my motorola pebl phone that I recently purchased.
I set up a new device in the bluetooth setup menu and at the last step where you need to enter a 6 digit code into the phone, after doing so the computer and the phone are trying to validate and about 45 seconds later a message pops up and says that the computer could not connect and the phone says the code was invalid. So I am unable to pair my phone.
Although whenever I turn on my computer and my phone is near, a screen pops up saying to create a passcode that will also need to be typed into my phone to complete the pairing process, so I proceed with this and nomatter what I do it keeps poping up every 15 seconds or so. One time it worked and I could send am mp3 file to my phone, though the window said that I will only have to type this code once, I end up having to type it everytime I turn on my computer. I also downloaded a plug-in for the pebl that everyone seems to be happy with, and works for everyone I believe. But it seems not to be working for what I need, what I have read is that everyone has paired their phone but can't do much else, I can't even pair my phone.
    I have a G5 running Tiger 10.4.7
So if anyone out there can help me pair my phone to my G5, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    One Eye.

    Anyone?
    Please help!

  • Why is syncing with Motorola phones so BAD?

By now I would have thought the leader in mobile phones (Motorola) and Apple would have their act together, especially since they share technology putting iTunes in the ROKR and SLVR and RAZR.
I just bought a new SLVR and the syncing is as bad as it was with my black RAZR:
    1. every phone number in Address Book gets a new contact in the phone, with an ugly -1, -2, etc. appended for multiple numbers belonging to 1 name
    2. Address Book photos don't sync
    3. iCal recurring appointments don't sync right-- they go to the phone, then on the next sync iSync thinks their new and adds them AGAIN to iCal in a messed up "detached" fashion (no longer recurring)
    3. Address Book companies are listed only by the person's name in that company (if one exists) when it should be listed by Company Name, or better yet, changeable as a preference
    4. company names have dashes in them instead of spaces
    5. Motorola apparently doesn't believe in middle names, prefixes, or suffixes in a name
I mean, come on. What does it take to program text fields properly? This is 2006. All new phones should be good enough to use as simple PDAs at this point, ESPECIALLY a new $400 phone from Motorola, an Apple partner. The **** thing comes with a 512MB memory card!!! Yet they still can't store a decent contact.

    1. Motorola Address Book model is based on phone numbers and not on contacts. One entry IS a phone number...
    2. Motorola phones DON'T SUPPORT REAL SYNC AT ALL... So every time iSync has to sync with the phone, it has to download all the contents of phone's Address Book and Calendar, compare it to what it "should be" (without forgetting that datas on the phone are a degraded version of Mac's data since Mac has a much much richer model for Address Book and Calendar). This explains, for example, why syncs with Motorola are much slower than with other phones and why iSync has to handle much problems and edge cases.
    3. Communication protocol provided by Motorola phones to access Address Book and Calendar is based on AT commands which is very (very) limited... many attributes (like contact pictures) can't be accessed or modified this way.
All in all... any minor iSync bug might have bigger consequences with Motorola phones.

  • Has anyone used Lookout 4.5 with Motorola MOSCAD?

If so, please send me an e-mail at [email protected] My question is, Can I use the ModbusMOSCAD driver to talk directly to a RTU in the field via radio without using a FIU or do I have to use and FIU and talk modbus to the FIU and let the FIU gather the info from the field?

Here's what the Lookout online help says:
The ModbusMOSCAD object class works with Motorola MOSCAD PLCs and RTUs. It also uses the Modbus Serial (ASCII or RTU) or Modbus Plus communication protocol, but its data members reflect the address of Motorola MOSCAD devices.
It looks like you should be fine using the modbusMOSCAD object in Lookout

  • Help!! How can I get my timemachine to work with motorola router

I just had comcast installed in home.  Apple router is not working with motorola sb510u

You may need to reset your broadband modem to convince it to connect to a "new" device.  Depending on the model of modem, that can be as easy as removing power for a few moments.  If that doesn't work, remove power and wait 15 minutes.  Further reset steps can involve pressing a "reset" button or removing a battery if the modem has one.  In the worst case, your ISP may need to edit its settings to update to the MAC address of the new router.  If they won't or can't do that, powering down the modem for 16 to 36 hours can reset the connection.

  • Nokia E51 iSync with MacBook OS 10.4.11 problems now when never before

I've been happily syncing my Nokia E51 via iSync with my MacBook running OS X Tiger 10.4.11 for probably a year. Now all of a sudden it refuses to sync & the phone says "system error" as soon as I try to connect via Bluetooth.
I've downloaded the latest plugin, everything is up to date as recommended.
I've tried deleting the phone from Bluetooth & re-adding it again, ditto with the iSync software. Nothing seems to work.
Anyone got any ideas? I desperately want to backup all the phone numbers on my phone onto my computer in case I lose it.
    Thanks!

  • Nokia 5200 iSync with Apple Mac OS X 10.4.9 Blueto...

ok, English isn't my first language, but I'm gonna try this anyway. Here is how I got my Nokia 5200 synchronised with iCal, Agenda, iSync via Bluetooth.
It's very easy. You need to replace the number "6131" for the number "5200" inside the script: MetaClasses.plist
This is a file that's located inside the nokia 6131 folder of the iSync.
Here's the rute to get it:
finder / applications / select iSync with right boton of the mouse (control clic), then, select: view package content / contents / plugins / applephoneconduit / contents / plugins / nokia6131 / contents / resources / MetaClasses.plist.
Now, open this file with Textedit, and with "search and replace", replace all the "6131" with the number "5200". And that's it!
If you want to have the Nokia 5200 icon on the iSync screen, you need to get it and save it as .tiff format.
then, inside the "resources" folder (where the MetaClasses.plist. file is) replace the allready existing image of the nokia 6131, and name your image like this: com.nokia.5200.tiff
with my phone, works absolutly perfect. Hope this be helpfull.

Jeff, I don't belive that the probleme could be the language, becouse this solution has worked to many other people, from different countries. I posted this same solution in Apple.com discussions, and many people said that it works great.
I belive that it may not be clear enougth, and you must be doing something wrong.
Is there any posible way that I can see you e-mail? I would like to send you a better explanation.
Meanwhile, I left you here, the web site in Apple.com, you can see my E-mail from over there.
Please, keep in touch, I'm sure we'll make it work.

  • Using isync with my portable phone samsung E880. Please help

I want to use isync with my portable phone, but it is not recognize.
    Do you have the solution?

The Samsung E880 is not supported by iSync, and as it is about two years old now, is unlikely to be.
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/devices.html
Only 2 of the latest Samsung models are supported by iSync, and those models were only added in the past month with the 10.4.9 update.
It may be worth contacting www.novamedia.de - they have added iSync support for an additional 3 Samsung models, and may be able to advise whether support for your phone is possible.

How can I get the driver for pairing Zire72 with Motorola W385 phone with Bluetooth.

The Phonelink "Update" is years old, but has the latest drivers for Motorola phones.  It's available here:

Much depends on your cell provider - not all of them allow full access to their phones by outside devices...

  • Can I use my Airport Express with Motorola Modem SB6121?

I just bought a Motorola Arris SB6121 Modem and wonder if I can use my Airport Express at my main router. I live in a condo so it is not a huge space.
    Thanks!

After using a functioning system for 2 years, I am no longer able to connect through Airport Extreme base station to internet with Motorola SB6121. Hard wire connection with Motorola works fine. Connection to wireless network works fine (but without internet connection). Have flashing yellow light on Extreme. Have been online to diagnose and fix, but without success. Here's what I've tried. Disconnected power to Motorola and Extreme for 30 minutes. Disconnected coax cable from wall and from Motorola. Disconnected Ethernet cable from Motorola and Extreme. All of these steps were simultaneous.
Then 1) reconnected power to Motorola, 2) reconnected coax cable to wall and Motorola, 3) connected ethernet cable from Motorola to my PC laptop and 4) got to the internet just fine. Then I reconnected power to Extreme, 2) moved ethernet cable from laptop to Extreme, but 3) no internet connect available (altho wireless network is working and I am connected). Also I have tried plugging the ethernet cable into both the <--> and "O" ports on the Extreme without any benefit.
In Control Panel and Network and Sharing Center I see my connection to my wireless network, but no internet connection. When I connect Motorola to laptop with ethernet cable, I see "network 8" with internet access/connection. My laptop's wireless feature is on.
I downloaded and installed Airport Utility, but it does not see my Extreme either by wireless or cable connection directly to the Extreme)..
Do I need to "reset" Extreme?  BTW, I am a renter and the Extreme and Motorola have been in the apartment for 2 years working fine. I don't have any documentation for the Extreme that I might need for resetting. I hope it will do this automatically. Also, I am getting cable TV through Comcast. I do not have phone service through Comcast (cell only).
OK, this is probably more than you need to know, but I wanted to give you all the information toi address my basic question, "how do I get to the internet through my home wireless system?"
BTW, when cable connected to Motorola, speed shows 100 mbps.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Is there anyway I can get buy a Moto X customized phone?  I spent most of the day talking with Motorola and Verizon.. it seems the two companies need to have a chat on how  to freakn work together to order this phone online. I feel like a bunch of dementors sucked the life outta me, I need chocolate and alcohol to help me feel better... eeeek!

One thing that I finally had to do when I got my phone on MotoMaker was to buy it outright, after getting an account with Motorola--that way I could get a customized one with 32GB storage.  I recall that I could not get it in that size with the usual contract term with Verizon.  The Edge option for some reason was not available to me either, don't recall why.
But by buying it through Motorola credit, I could spread the purchase price over 12 months--kind of Edge lite.  Then when my contract status changed over to month-to-month instead of the old-fashioned 2 year system, my line charges went down to $15 per month,  as it would using the Edge option.

  • ISync and Motorola Razr2 V9 problem

    Hi all,
I know there was a similar thread, but it's been archived so I can't post there. I just got a Motorola Razr2 V9x and tried to sync it with my Mac. I know I need a plugin for this. I have the plugin and iSync recognizes the phone. Whenever I try to sync I get an error message:
    Connection to the phone failed.
Please make sure that your phone is turned on. If this error occurs again, please restart your phone.
The phone is on of course and restarting it doesn't help. When I try syncing iSync starts the process and the Bluetooth indicator light on the phone blinks briefly, then I get the error message. Any ideas what's wrong?

I just replaced my v400 after several years, a long service life for a cell phone.
Anyway, I never had a problem with iSync, except that at first I didn't "point" it to the Address Book directory I wanted to sync with. Are you sure the new entries are in the directory (or group) that you're syncing with? Click on the v400 icon in the iSync window and double check the Contacts drop down box.
