ISynch has failed after successful use

I have a new iMac and a SonyEricsson w850i. I have used iSynch satisfactorily to synch these. I tried yesterday to use it with Bluetooth to synch my Calendar and Contacts with the files on my laptop, but it would not do it. Since then I can no longer synch with the mobile phone: once the process is started the phone immediately drops the connection. I have tried turning both iMac and phone off and on again but the problem persists. What can be done?

First, try clicking "Reset Sync History..." in iSync preferences, and see if that allows it to sync.
If not, work through the suggestions on the page below:

  • Datasocket server seems to fail after continuous use.

The Datasocket server seems to fail after continuous use.  (Labview 7.1 on XP)
I have a data acquistion system that collects data and presents it to the operator.  Then I have from 1-3 remote units that can connect via DS to the acquistion unit to view the data.  As a general rule things work dandy!  I have the data published from the front panel of one VI and subscribed to by the remote VI(s).  However it seems that after some indeterminent time the DS just stops publishing data and my remote units go into alarm indicating that they can no longer get data.  If I shutdown and then restart the DS server then things seem to clear up and work again.
Anyone seen this type of problem?  Unfortunately my app is pretty large and it acquires data from 26 field units so its not real practical to post the code!
I wonder if using the DS VI's would change performance as opposed to the front panel publishing/subscribing that I currently do?  Or can DS just not handle the load, should I change to a TCP/IP handshaking?
    Thanks!
    ~Gold

Here's the basic piece of code. The outer case structure was used because that program already had some DS related stuff and I wanted to wait before I start checking to avoid disturbing it. I added the array at the bottom for some logging so I could check when it happened, but I haven't been called for it since, so that array has proved unnecessary.

  • Has anyone had success using SharePoint and FrameMaker 10 together using CMS?

Has anyone had success using SharePoint and FrameMaker 10 together using CMS?

Thanks for reminding to at least update the results thus far.
    Update 4:
I did get quite a bit of support initially although slowly over a period of a month or so. After Adobe FM support and my SharePoint systems engineer reviewed how FM10 was setup on my computer (which I am the admin for our department’s SP site) and how it interfaces with our SharePoint 2010 Enterprise Edition, there was two conclusions:
Basically Adobe FM Support said that FM10 did not support claims-based authentication and they can no longer help me. They said it will work with FM11 when it comes out.
My SP Systems Engineer, said that FM10 is connecting to SP 2010 just fine but that the FM10 has a software glitch that causes FM10 lose control when executing checkout procedure within FM10. I can checkout and edit that same file in SP with no problems.
About a month later, I upgraded to FM11 and ran into the same problem. I attempted to get Adobe FM Support to help and they said they will look into and get back to me. That was in July and I have not heard anything more from them, and to be honest, my schedule has been extremely busy the last 5 months that I have not had time to pursue it any further.
Needless to say, I was very disappointed with the SP interface and, overall, the lackluster support I received from Adobe. Having a working SP interface was one of the criteria for purchasing TCS3.5 (and subsequent upgrade) in the first place.
One thing of note, we migrated from SP 2007 to SP 2010 in February 2011 and, at the time of Adobe support, I still had access to my SP 2007 site. FM10 and FM11 had to no issues working with SP2007. Unfortunately, SP 2007 is not an option for me anymore.
Also, another observation of FM10/11 not working with SP 2010, it seems that FM10/11 is automatically configured to work with SharePoint Drafts folder locally when connecting to the SharePoint library. This worked just fine with SP 2007 but SP 2010 does not use SharePoint Drafts folder locally the same way (the programming changed, don’t recall where I saw it, probably when searching this issue online)  and I suspect that is one of the main issues why it does not work correctly.
So at this time, I have not found a working solution to this problem.

  • Has anyone had success using NI PCI cards at -20C? My specific needs are for RS-422/482 and GPIB cards.

NI cards have been qualified to operate only to zero degrees C. I need serial abd GPIB PCI cards that operate to -20C for military application. Has anyone had success using these cards at this lower operating temperature?

    Hi,
I am not sure if this helps, but the ENET-232 is spec'd to operation at -40 degrees C.

  • Upgraded new iPad to iOS 5 after successfully using the machine for two weeks. The apps I downloaded are still here, checked for updates, all okay. However, when I try to use iBooks app or even USA Today, icon shakes, settles down then nothing. Help.

Upgraded new iPad to iOS 5 after successfully using the machine for two weeks. The apps I downloaded are still here, checked for updates, all okay. However, when I try to use iBooks app or even USA Today, icon shakes, settles down then nothing else happens. Several tries, settings appear correct. Suggestions? Safari operates correctly, music icon matches (not from iTunes, simply music on my MacPro and iPod). Is Cloud the issue, perhaps? But everything worked before the upgrade. Using my home network. Hope this info suffices. Appreciate any guidance.

Problem solved. Saw the solution in a more recent post. Downloaded a free app, then all my other apps started to work again.

  • CSS: "authentication failed" after successful fingerprint authentication - twice!

    T61p
    CSS: 8.10.0006.00
    Vista 32 Ult
After successful fingerprint login, CSS states that the Windows password had been changed (it hasn't) and then asked me to verify that the CSS password matched my Windows password; this failes, even though the password entered is correct. This dialog pops up until it is cancelled.
I've also lost the ability to use my fingerprint reader to login to websites, it says that
     - the print is okay, with that green checkmark, but then
     - proceeds to say "authentication failed"
The password manager does not show up any more if started.
@ lenovo: any ideas, this is a very annoying one! And it is old, I think. Any ideas, before I go and buy

I have the same issue here.
The fingerprint software is working perfectly and it is properly linked with the Windows password so I can logon with no problems. However, right after I get the message the password has been changed when it hasn't.
The issues start when I need to use the Thinkvantage Password Manager or any other CCS applications. It does recognize my finger but it says "authentication failed".
I have emailed Lenovo and they recommended me to removed the CCS and the fingerprint software. I did it and it didn't work. Then they said I should take my laptop to a service center because it is no longer in warantee period.
In my case, all these issues began when I updated the CCS to the newer version (8.2)
I have read in other forums that it has to do with TPM or security chip encryption. It seems the CCS has not taken control over it. They state all will be fixed once the chip is clear which is done thru the BIOS>Security Chip>Clear Encryption. The big problem is that all encrypted data is erased in the process!!!
I have used the password manager for so long now with no problems that I have forgotten most of the keywords.

  • IPhoto 11 - Edit tools fail after initial use of program

Running 10.6.8 (all updates complete) on new MacBook. Began editing newly imported photos  - edit features failed after first 50 photos. I have tried...
    * updated all Mac Software
    * deleted user iPhoto preferences, emptied trash, reopened
    * repaired iPhoto library, etc....
Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions for repair/recovery?

Try this:  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it does then a reinstall of iPhoto seems warranted. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/  folder,
Then install iPhoto from the disk it came on originally.

I'd like to use the player as a previewer in a facebook newsfeed. Has anyone had success? Is there a recipe for this?

The Juniper VPN is a SSL-based VPN solution whereas the native client supports L2TP and PPTP only - in other words they're completely different beasts.
That said, you shouldn't have any issue connecting to the SSL-VPN. I do it almost daily. You may need to be running the latest (or at least, recent) software on the Juniper box, though - earlier versions of the Juniper software had problems.

    Hi Justin,
I would suggest you to use sfc to check if there is any systemfiles corrupted :
    1. boot from cd
    2.  sfc /scannow /offbootdir=X:\ /offwindir=Y:\windows (X  is boot partition , Y is windows system files partition )

  • T400 realtek wifi fails after short use, given IOMMU errors in dmesg

    Hello, thanks for reading.
The title explains the problem pretty well.  I can connect to any given network just fine through wicd, but after a short bit of use the networking entirely stops and if I try to make any changes I get what I assume is a kernel panic and the whole system stops responding, short of the caps lock blinking.

DMA: Out of SW-IOMMU space for 9100 bytes at device 0000:03:00.0
I get a whole bunch of times after it first appears in dmesg.  I've googled this error without the address on the end and it seems there isn't much of a solution that I'm aware of.  I don't know what to do from here!  Guidance is so very appreciated.

Same here, I've tried without wicd.  The problem reproduces exactly the same.
Also, I've googled around and it seems like this is a recurring bug.
I tried passing iommu=force to the kernal during boot and from there, the card works slowly.  I also get a different error array in DMESG from there.  The end of it is as follows:
    Linux version 2.6.30-ARCH (root@T-POWA-LX) (gcc version 4.4.1 (GCC) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jul 31 07:30:28 CEST 2009

  • Gif fail after download using php

I create a web page in php. after download a file using php:
    header('Content-Type: application/octet-stream');
    header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="sth.txt"');
    readfile("sth.txt");
the gif animation dosn't work. in IE9 every thing is ok.
    please help me.

    Thanks for your reply.
My web page is offline, in my pc using EasyPHP.
I tried other mime types like text/plain too.
Let me explain my question more:
There is sth similar to Yahoo Mail. My page has a link, like '''Files(2)''', it means two new files is available for download.
After user clicks it, he see the links to download the files. before download there must be a MySQL query to decrease the number of new files (1), then download the file. I implement this using AJAX. first time every thing is ok, but for second time, after user clicks the link to download, the AJAX gif is not working (image loads without animation). Also for testing, I placed a gif in my page to show all the time (not for AJAX). after the first download, the animaion is stop and show a still image.
By the way, my page do net refreash after click and download.
Of course, i solved my problem by using window.open() instead of window.location.href for redirect to download page.
    Thanks for help.

  • Has anyone EVER successfully used BlackBerry Bold BlueTooth DUN w/ iBook ?

    Greetings all,
I have spent days trying to get my iBook G4 running OS 10.4.11 to successfully connect to the internet via BlueTooth through my BB Bold's supposed dial-up networking capabilities. I have followed endless threads in multiple Mac, Black, Crack, and other forums and have watched countless video demonstrations. None of the info I have found has worked, probably because every source of info involved either a different BlackBerry model, a different Mac model, or a different OS version.
I get the same Internet Connect error every time: "A modem error occurred. Please check your settings and try again."
I have tried multiple dial-up isp's and multiple access numbers. I do not claim to be an expert, but I have worked as a network administrator, have set up multiple network devices, and have a pretty good understanding of internet and general network technologies and this is just driving me insane.
If anyone actually knows how to accomplish this task, I would be eternally grateful for step-by-step instructions or even just some insight into how I might determine what type of "modem error" occurred!
Please do not tell me to purchase an iPhone or a tethering plan. If those were viable options at the moment, I would not be wasting our time here. Thanks!

Ditto on both points. Meanwhile I use the solution of a third party backup.

  • Win XP installation fails after successful Parallels installation...

    Hi:
I've been trying for the last several hours to install my new copy of Windows XP under Parallels (which bought, installed, and updated to Build 3188 earlier).
Here's what happens: I get to the final step of the "OS Installation Assistant" in Parallels, where it says to insert the Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM drive. I do so, click "Finish," and after a few moments, my Macbook's SuperDrive spits out the Windows CD (yeah, I know... ).
    That's it.
Oh, the one time I got the Windows installation process underway, the installation quit, giving me the following error message: "File symc8xx.sys is corrupted. Press any key to continue." This was followed by "Setup failed. Press any key to restart your computer."
*ANY* help you good folks can offer will be greatly appreciated.
    Bill in CT

Since Parallels is not an Apple product, you have better luck posting your question on the Parallels discussion forums rather than an Apple forum that focuses on compatibility issues between Macs and Windows:

  • Has anybody here successfully used a zen micro with mac

I called customer service and received a noncommittal "we'll take it back if it doesn't work". I am a mac user (I do graphics and have been using Apple computers for years) but I really don't want an ipod. Please tell me if anybody has tried it!

I'm guessing it won't work as it uses specific drivers.
You could try using a program that others have used with the Zen, which is written by a very kind guy for free. If it doesn't work maybe he'll add support for the Micro also http://www.wentnet.com/projects/xnjb/index.html
