IT 2004 - Availability is used for what?

Hi buddies,
I am curious about what the usage of infotype 2004 - availability.
Can anybody explain IT2004 is used for what?
An explenaition with senario will better
Thanks in adv.
Br,Kee

HI Kee,
You can use the Availability infotype (2004) to enter different types of work availability duties. A
typical availability type is on-call duty.
In the R/3 Human Resources (HR) component, an availability is work performed
outside of an employeeu2019s planned working time. When you create an availability, the
system does not overwrite the employeeu2019s work schedule.
Availability types are subtypes of the Availability infotype (2004). The standard R/3 System
includes the following availability types:
Subtype 01: On-call duty
Subtype 02: On-call duty <=10%
Subtype 03: On-call duty <=25%
Subtype 04: On-call duty <=40%
Subtype 05: On-call duty <=49%

  • Bapi_Busprocessnd_Procsettings is used for what...?

    Hi ,
Can anybody out there explain Bapi_Busprocessnd_Procsettings is used for what? Actually I have been trying to create sales order remotely. And I need to call this BAPI to persist the data, even if I do Transaction Commit.
    Thanks a lot

    Hi Rajan,
I haven't used this BAPI but you can take a look at following programs/Function modules to the usage of this BAPI. From what I understand this BAPI is used to set the process settings such as (save = true) if you want to commit the data when calling the BAPI's remotely.
Report - CRM_CALL_ACTIVITY_INTERFACE (Demo Program to Call External Interfaces of Activities )
    LCRM_BUSPROCESSND_BAPIF19
LCRM_BUSPROCESSND_BAPIU01        Save and install sales orders [implementation]
LCRM_BUSPROCESSND_BAPIU02        Delete and save sales orders [implementation]
    LCRM_BUSPROCESSND_BAPIU03        Generate sales orders [implementation]
    LCRM_BUSPROCESSND_BAPIU05        Change sales orders [implementation]
Also if you want to save the transaction you could use the BAPI BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_SAVE.
    Hope this helps!

  • Which legacy systems are used for what purpose?

    Hi gurus,
I tried looking in this forums, but couldnt gather much information on which legacy systems are used and for what purpose? <b>can any body send me a link that can help me understand when and where, which systems are used for what purpose..</b> I have a general understanding of Legacy systems so i am not looking for terminology explanation,  i would appreciate any thing that is related to business and explains the purpose.
    thanks,
    kishore karnati

    Hi,
Term legacy system means tailor made system by group of software developer or any branded software which deals with the group requirement  like tally we user for finance.
Legacy system can be based on any technology like visual basis as front end and oracle as back end or Developer 2k as front end and oracle as back end. For report most of the legacy system we have seen uses crystal report.
You can develop and implement based on the requirement from the user though you need to define some specify process to keep the system streamline which is in your hands.
Concept like devlopment/quality/production we don't have that verys strict concept.
More and more they are not intergrated each other functionally mean lets say inventory has come to the godown then your vendor outstanding should increase in finance which does not happens you need to key in the seperate value for it.
    Hope this helps!!!

  • The object ID in PLOGI is used for what?

Hello, I'm back for some little questions.
We know that every employee has a personnel number. And in table PLOGI there'e a kind of records whose obj type is P(Person). I'm wondering what are the obj IDs of these records used for? Cauze we already have PERNR to stand for a person.
This question also lies in Company Code(Obj Typ - IC), Personal Subarea(Obj Typ - I1) , etc.
    Thanks.

    Hi Kee,
As far as I can see, the OBJID in PLOGI for object type P is same as the PERNR.

  • How are the Apps Store and iTunes store different? Which do you use for what?

Can you explain the difference between Apps Store and iTunes store? Is Apps a subset of iTunes store? To which store do you go for what?

Apps you buy from the Mac App store can be used on your computer.  You use the same Apple ID as the iTunes Store, but that's the only connection.
Apps you buy from the iTunes App Store are written to run on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch).  They won't run on your computer, only on your iDevice.

  • Next Number Maintenance - IncrementBy is used for what?

    Hello everybody,
as I'm developing a webservice I've used the "IncrementBy" of my next number template as the value which is added to the current sequence of the number.
    Let me provide an example:
    The current sequence is 1
    The IncrementBy value is 6
I order a new number and get 7 (current sequence + IncrementBy value)
My problem is now that the documentation states, that the "IncrementBy" value is used to "(...) increment the minimum and maximum sequence numbers."
Next Number Maintenance - SAP Manufacturing Execution (SAP ME) - SAP Library
This would differ from my current usage. However, I can't see any sense in providing a "incrementby" value to manipulate static data in a table. Furthermore the name of the column would be a fail, too. May there just be a mistake in the documentation?
If not, what's the sense behind the incrementby value then?
    Thanks and regards,
    Kai

    Kai
The help is wrong. When you request a number from Next number, it returns the Current Sequence. It then adds the value of the Increment By to that number and stores it back to the Current Sequence, ready for the next request.

  • Subtype of IT0008 is used for what?

    Hi Experts,
It suddenly came to me such a question: In what situation should we use subtype of IT0008? Cauze in most cases I just use default subtype 0 -- "Basic contract". How about the others like "Increase basic contract"??
If I create 2 records of IT0008, oen for subtype "0, one for subtype "1", how will these two records be handled in payroll run?
    Thanks a lot!

see when employee gets hired u may want to create IT0008 with say subtype '0' for basic pay or something..but then see if in between u want to perform some action on employee say u want to promote him for 2 months say merit increase..in such situation the employee will have the 0 subtype as well as a new subtype merit inc maintained for 2 months..in short he wl get paid more for thse 2 months..,
payroll will take care of it automatically as diff subtype will have diff wage type for amounts..so both of these wage type will contribute to employees net pay..

  • Hard Drive Setup - which drives to use for what

So I have decided on buying a segate 7200.14 hard drive (Tell me if this is a bad one, I just saw a bunch of reviews and benchmarks and it is supposed to be one of the fastest), but I'm not sure weather to use it as a scratch disk, a media disk, or an OS disk. Currently I only have one slow, old 500gb drive, which I was going to use to store old media and exports (I don't need to acces projects that I worked on a year ago). I have an external backup drive as well. I was thinking of getting the 7200.14 drive, since it is so fast and cheap and using it for my main drive, but now I'm wondering, would I be better off using it as the scratch drive? I can always wait for my OS and programs and such to load slower, but I'd like stuff inside of the program to be quick. I also don't care much about exports since I'm in no rush to get the work out as quick as I can, and I normally just leave it rendering overnight.
    TL;DR
    1.) slow, old 500gb drive
    2.) new, fast 7200.14 drive
3.) I can possibly buy another drive if it's absolutely necessary, but I have gathered that the third drive is for OS, which I don't need to load quickly at all.
Which one of these things is most bottlenecked by the hard drive? What should I do with my hard drive setup?
    EDIT:
Also, is the 7200.14 a good drive? Tell me a better one if you think of one. I was thinking of getting the 1tb version but I might get the 3tb version for storage, since its a much better $/gb.

Alright, I've gathered that the media cache and the medi files are not suited to be on an SSD (media because of large file sizes and media cache because of longevity, since it has to read and write so many times). But which one would I benefit more from being faster? Or could I just leave them both slow, and get two cheaper slower hard drives instead of the one fast 7200.14?

  • SCU3 / OY18 / AUT10 what is used for what?

Hi folks - tcodes SCU3/OY18 both seem to relate to same thing - place where you can go to find logs of changes made to tables (IF all the stuff like rec/client setting and SE13 technical setting for the particular table is in effect on the given system)
Recently I came across a tcode AUT10 and in digging in the SAP help it looks like something related to SAP AUDIT TRAIL topic..........but in general, it looks quite similar to SCU3 type info.
Can anyone clarify how this AUT10 stuff would be different than SCU3?
(I assume they both get info from tables like DBTABLOG, CDHDR, CDPOS)
    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi Ben,
There is no difference between SCU3 or OY18, you can display the change documents of the tables using the tcodes, they both run the same program.
But AUT10 provides us an enhanced options where we can review the changes made in other transactions as well in addition to the table changes.

  • How to see what percent of your MacBook is being used for what

How can I know how much of my MacBook is being used up? I remember someone in MacBook store went into some kind of folder but I forgot

What exactly do you want to know? When you post a question here you need to be as specific as possible otherwise we have no idea how to advise you.
Do you need to know how much space is available on your hard drive? If so you can double-click on the drive icon on your Desktop. At the bottom center of the Finder window you should see how much space is available. You can also select the drive icon. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the upper section you will see information on how much space is used and available.

  • Logic synths; ES2 etc. - what do they stand for & what types of synthesis?

    I'm talking here about the synths that come with Logic: ES1, ES M, EVD6, EFM1, ES1, ES2, ES E, ES P, EVB3, EVP88.
What do these abreviations stand for? - I assume it goes back a long way, and the E might be for E-Magic. M and P probably mean Monophonic and Polyphonic, but what about the rest?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of each synth, - why would I use one over an other?
Also, I assume EFM1 is an FM synth, but what types of synthesis do the others employ?
    Thanks.

Actually, all your "assumptions" are pretty spot on. At least the way I'm remembering things.
    E (magic) S (ynth) 1
    E (magic) S (ynth) 2
    E (magic) V (irtual) P (iano) 88 (# of keys on a piano)
    E (magic) V (irtual) B3 (Hammond B3 organ)
    E (magic) V (irtual) D6 (Hohner D6 clavinet)
And yes, the P is for Polyphonic, and M for monophonic. I believe the E is for "ensemble", and yes, the EFM1 is an FM synth.
As for what synth is best to use for what... that's the art and science of it all.
Obviously, the EVP88, EVB3 and EVD6 are intended to sound like the vintage keyboards they are emulating. But each one can really do a lot, especially the EVD6. Check out the presets, and start moving buttons and sliders.
I find Sculpture best suited for atmospheric textures, or when I need something really bizarre, but it can be SO much more than that as well.
I'm sure others have some great insight as to practical usage as well.

  • SM37 and SM50 T-codes for what

    Hello all
T-codes in BW SM37 and SM50 will use for what?
    can anyone let me know.
    Regards
    balaji

    Hi,
In SM37 we can see the jobs status w.r.t Scheduled/ Active / Ready /Active /Complete / Canceled selections. Suppose we sceduled a process chain or scheduled any deleition job or any job for loading any datatarget then we can get the satus of the job in the SM37 transaction.
In SM50 we can get all the in-detail secenario of the background work processes running on the Appliction Server and other information corresponding to it like current status, which table is getting updated, which is the type of work process say
    (The type of work process:
DIA - Work process for executing dialog steps in user transactions
UPD - Update process for executing update requests
ENQ - Process for executing enqueue requests
BTC - Process for executing batch requests
SPO - Process for executing spool requests
UP2 - Process for executing V2 update requests)
I think it may be clear now.

  • In the installation process lion will not install as message  reads MAC HD 904 gb available this disk is used for time machine backups .What is the next step

After downloading ,completing the lic agreement phase, the next step is where to install and automatically' MAC HD with 904 gb available this disk is used for time machine backups' is shown and installation is blocked .
Any body got any idea what to do next ?

Time machine needs its own partition to operate. So you are not going install a OSx Lion on that volume.
If there is enough room you may be able to partition the drive on the fly with DiskUtility
Are you saying you clean installed Lion and you are trying to move your user Data over with TM via the migration Assistant?  Please explain.
