  • Function modules to create the relationship for Reference Personnel IT0031

I tried using BDC recording PA30 to create the relationship for reference personnel but it dun seems to work. Anyone knows of any standard function module to create that relationship instead.

I have tried both and it doesnt work. The behaviour of this reference personnel number is different from the normal object relationships. Does anyone have experience using function module to create reference personnel relationship instead of giving the stand FM to create the records.

  • Assignment of reference personnel no. for concurrent employment

Do we assign reference personnel no. for concurrent employment only? Is Reference personnel no. assigned only when the employee has more than one employment relationship in the same company in different countries?

NO, BUT I'M ASKING THAT IS CONCURRENT EMPLOYEMENT APPLICABLE IF THE EMPLOYEE HAS TAKEN UP A NEW PERSONNEL ASSIGNMENT IN IN THE SAME COUNTRY WHERE HE/SHE WAS WORKING BEFORE.

  • Urgent !! : PA30 : Info type 31 : Unlimited reference personnel numbers

    Hi,
In PA30, for infotype 31 is it possible to set unlimited reference personnel numbers. Or what could be the maximum reference personel no. Currently the reference no is limited to 20.
    Thanks,
    Hem

Yes ... even i was of the same opinion. Last time we set this to 75 and now user wants this to be increased and hence i was looking out for some unlimited option.
see if you can help me or give some clue on this.

  • Reference personnel no's

    Hi Gurus,
I have a query regarding Reference personnel no's.
Whenever a hiring action is done and a reference number is given; the system only copies 2 infotypes:
    IT0001 and IT0009.
My requirement is apart from these infotypes; few other infotypes like: Education, Family members/dependents, Previous Employer,IT0587 etc should also get copied.
What can be the proposed way to achieve this.Either programming or a dynamic action?

    Hi Dips,
To my knowledge, dynamic action will help you to bring some values from one infotype and reflect in other infotype by default.
    Example:-
I had one scenario where I need to call custom infotype IT9331 after 2001. AWART value from IT2001 should reflect in IT9331-ZWART field automatically. So I have set like below.
    2001 06 80 P T001P-MOLGA='33'
    2001 06 82 P PSPAR-TCLAS='A'
    2001 06 84 I COP,9331,,,(P2001-BEGDA),(P2001-ENDDA)
    2001 06 85 W RP50D-FLAG1='X'
    2001 06 86 W P9331-BEGDA=P2001-BEGDA
    2001 06 88 W P9331-ENDDA=P2001-ENDDA
    2001 06 90 W P9331-ZAWART=P2001-AWART
But I dont think you can maintain default value from Reference PERNR in some infotypes via dynamic action. May be you can take ABAPER help to develop a function module for this purpose and you can call this function module in dynamic action.

  • Delete All Log for HR Personnel

    Dear experts,
I need to delete a batch of personnels in HR module. I can do it with program RPUDELPN.
However, I find that after deleting the personnel with RPUDELPN, the Log for this personnel can still be found with program RPUAUD00 (Logged Changes in Infotype Data).
Any programs that I can delete the Log in batch too?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
It is avilable find RP* program you will get but why you want to delete log?
It is for the reference i suggest better to keep it.
    Dont delete log.
    Well all the best.

  • Deleting reference personnel no.

    Dear All,
During Hiring if reference personnel no. entered by mistake in the action infotype then how to delete that as some of the data is already transfered from the existing personnel no. to the current no.I can not change the existing records of the current employee as while changing it is also changed for the existing employee.

    Check infotype 31

  • Reference personnel no field

    dear experts
In which PA  infotype  can we find the field "Reference Personnel No" ??
if i use a reference personnel no in recruitment in applicant activities for data transfer, will the same data be maintained in corresponding PA infotype where this field is available as standard ??
give me all info about the field reference personnel no?
is this field used when an employee is organisatinal reassigned??( performing a PA 40 action?)

    Dear Natraj,
If anything is wrong what i have posted my sincere apologies for the same.
Well mistakes do indeed give an opportunity to learn something new for everyone...
<b>Please find the link from help.sap.com which clearly mentions you can enter reference personal number in infotype 0000 when an employee is getting hired</b> (well in my case i mentioned 0001 my mistake , i accept ..no harm in accepting that
You can make the reference number field visible from screen modifications in spro Mp000000 screen 2000.& you shuould have it visible in infotype 0000 screen while hiring an employee.
Here goes the link and the SAP documentation for the same :-
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/7e/5e058e4a1611d1894c0000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
    Reference Personnel Number (Infotype 0031)
The Reference Personnel Number (0031) infotype is used to assign several personnel numbers to one employee, if the employee has different employment relationships in your company. In this case, the personnel number associated with the employee is known as a reference personnel number. This infotype establishes links between all of an employee’s reference personnel numbers.
The Reference Personnel Number infotype (0031) is used in Personnel Administration for copying information that is common to all personnel number records for an employee who has several work contracts; it is also used by Payroll.
If an employee has more than one employment relationship within your company and these employment statuses are all accounted together, you must specify the order of priority for payroll in the Reference Personnel Number Priority infotype (0121).
    Reference Personnel Number
In the Reference Personnel Number infotype (0031), a list of the interrelated reference personnel numbers is stored for each reference personnel number involved.
<b>You can enter a reference personnel number in the Actions infotype (0000) when a new employee is hired. The system will automatically update the Reference Personnel Number infotype (0031) and copy certain reference personnel number infotypes.</b>
Certain infotypes are the same for all the personnel numbers belonging to one employee: These are:
    Personal Data (0002)
    Bank Details (0009)
If you edit these infotypes for a personnel number, the relevant infotype records for all related personnel numbers are also pulled up.
Other infotypes that define the employee’s individual working relationship can undergo different changes for the various different personnel numbers.
    Organizational Assignment (0001)
    Basic Pay (0008)
Country-specific infotypes for tax and social insurance
When you edit these infotypes for a personnel number the system does not call up the relevant infotype records for all related personnel numbers.
As a rule, you only need to maintain the Reference Personnel Number (0031) infotype if you want to retrospectively create a relationship between two personnel numbers that already exist, or if you want delete a link between two personnel numbers.
If you include a personnel number, all the infotypes belonging to that personnel number that can be copied, will be taken on by the current personnel number.
As far as your query is concerned i understand that is already answered rightly by Suresh as always. So all the Best & thanx everyone for the contribution.
    Regards & Thanks,

  • I am using the Order Analysis Toolkit and want to get more information about the compensation for "Reference Signal Processing", which is scarce in the manuals, the website and the examples installed with the toolkit.

I am using the Order Analysis Toolkit and want to get more information about the compensation for "Reference Signal Processing", which is scarce in the manuals, the website and the examples installed with the toolkit.
In particular, I am analyzing the example "Even Angle Reference Signal Processing (Digital Tacho, DAQmx).vi", whose documentation I am reproducing in the following:
    <B>DESCRIPTIONS</B>:
This VI demonstrates how to extract even angle reference signals and remove the slow-roll errors. It uses DAQmx VIs to acquire sound or vibration signals and a digital tachometer signal. This VI includes a two-step process: acquire data at low rotational speed to extract even angle reference; use the even angle reference to remove the errors in the vibration signal acquired at normal operation.
    <B>INSTRUCTIONS</B>:
    1. Run the VI.
    2. On the <B>DAQ Configurations</B> tab, specify the <B>sample rate</B>, <B>samples per channel</B>, device and channel configurations, and tachometer channel information.
<B>NOTE</B>: You need to use DSA PXI-447x/PXI-446x and PXI TIO device in a PXI chassis to run this example. The DSA device must be in slot 2 of the PXI chassis.
    3. Switch to <B>Extract Even Angle Reference</B> tab. Specify the <B>number of samples to acquire</B> and the <B># of revs in reference</B> which determines the number of samples in even angle reference. Click <B>Start</B> to take a one-shot data acquisition of the vibration and tachometer signals. After the acquisition, you can see the extracted even angle references in <B>Even Angle Reference</B>.
    4. Switch to the <B>Remove Slow-roll Errors</B> tab. Click <B>Start</B> to acquire data continuously and view the compensate results. Click <B>Stop</B> in this tab to stop the acquisition.
<B>ORDER ANALYSIS VIs USED IN THIS EXAMPLE</B>:
    1. SVL Scale Voltage to EU.vi
    2. OAT Digital Tacho Process.vi
    3. OAT Get Even Angle Reference.vi
    4. OAT Convert to Even Angle Signal.vi
    5. OAT Compensate Even Angle Signal.vi
My question is: How is the synchronization produced at the time of the compensation ? How is it possible to eliminate the errors in a synchronized fashion with respect to the surface of the shaft bearing in mind that I am acquired data at a low rotation speed in order to get the "even angle reference" and then I use it to remove the errors in the vibration signal acquired at normal operation. In this application both operations are made in different acquisitions, therefore the reference of the correction signal is lost. Is it simply compensated without synchronizing ?
Our application is based on FPGA and we need to clarity those aspects before implementing the procedure.

  • How do I create a small, for-reference-only version of my master library?

I have a 600GB Aperture 3 Managed library on my iMac's external hard drive. I use this as the master editing platform for my Aperture library and edits. I have no Referenced images. Everything is in the Managed library, mainly as RAW files.
I would love to have a smaller, portable but otherwise identical (structure/metadata etc) version of this Aperture library on my MacBook Pro, just for reference and for showing images to people. JPEGs would be fine, say at 1920 x 1200 pixels (or whatever is practical for my laptop's available disk space. The key thing is that the second (smaller) library would be in Aperture so that I have access to the same project structures I use on the main system, and can use Aperture's search and metadata capabilities to find images quickly.
I've spent some time looking but can't find a way of doing this. Can anyone offer any advice?

Here is what I am saying - you are not locked forever any such way. You can move your files back and forth at any time - managed to referenced - referenced to managed. You don't even have to go one way or the other - you can even select all of your files that are older than a certain date and under 3 stars - any criteria - make them referenced and automatically put them in folders by project. You can slice and dice managed/referenced any way you like by any search criteria and put them back again with search criteria and two functions relocate and consolidate. I do this all the time and have for years.
If you insist on not using the tools Aperture gives you to accomplish what you want you will probably be disappointed that there is not a menu item that exists for your exacting desire in the toolbar. If you learn how to put Aperture facilities together you can accomplish just about anything very quickly in a step or two - and then change your mind back.
I am just trying to show you that it is very limiting to thing about the ONE way you are going to use this tool. You tailor it for the here and now and then change it back.

Ps. All this stuff is on my site as well in terms of the how to's.

  • Copy file structure for reference

So I have this internal HD that I am replacing with a bigger drive. I plan to put the old drive on the shelf as a backup. I'd like to have a document of all the files on the drive so I don't have to put it back in to see what's on it. I discovered that you can make a list of a folders contents and all sub folders by dragging them into TextWrangler. That's okay, but a little hard to scan visually. Does any one have a better solution? The text file of course is searchable but it would be nice if the snapshot of the drive looked and operated like OSX finder with twirldown folders. I just need the names of the files for reference. I suppose I could make a dummy folder in finder that had alias files of all of them. Anyone have any ideas?

You can't just manually copy files individually from drive to drive. Permissions and metadata can actually get messed up.
    Better to use cloning software*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html
Unless of course your data is exhibiting signs of corruption. In that case, only copy the data files known to be of good structure to the new drive after erase and installing the operating system on the new drive.
