HI! my ipod gone crazy. first on the screen told me to download a new version and i did it and now it is telling me to restore and i did it but it unsuccessful. it is telling me the following: Itunes has deteched an ipod that appears to be corrupted. you may need to restore this ipod before it can be used with itunes. you may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the ipod.
I did both restore and conecting the ipod but nothing happening! please i cant live without my ipod. got to be solved!!! thanks

First try to do a Restore with another computer, if still does not help, go and find a Mac computer, do a Restore there ...

Thank you for the tip on exporting by media browser (large) from imovie. But of course, if it's not one thing it's another. Now that I figured how to export a large file from imovie, I have an idvd issue. I followed the instructions for burning from idvd and changing the encoding to professional quality and the burn speed to x4, but I am receiving an error that states the following,
Your project exceeds the maximum content duration. To burn your DVD, change the encoder setting in the Project Info window.
Project:
- total project duration: 79:04 minutes
- total project capacity: 4.327 GB (max. available: 4.172 GB)
Menus:
- number of menus in project: 1 menus
- total menu duration: 0:39 minutes
- total menu capacity: 37.370 MB
Movies:
- total movies duration: 78:25 minutes
- total movies capacity: 4.291 GB
I have searched in the idvd forum for similar issues and I am stumped at this point. I have tried deleting the encoding assets and re launching idvd with the changed preferences, and still the same error. I know you mentioned something about free hard drive space available, and I have very little left. 4GB to be exact due to massive hours of non-edited footage. I am not sure if this is why, but I do not recall ever needing free space to burn memory onto a separate dvd. I would be more than happy if I am wrong, and it would be a quick fix. Otherwise, the technical nightmare continues. It's all a learning process and your expertise is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Changing devices is no reason to create a new Apple ID.
All content purchased from iTunes is permanently linked to the Apple ID it was purchased with.
To update apps purchased with the old ID, you MUST sign in with that Apple ID.

My ipod classic just froze, please help!

My ipod classic was working perfectly up until about 10 minutes ago, when it froze up and now it won't let me do ANYTHING. My computer doesn't even recognize that I've plugged it in! I'm so lost, please help me!
So my ordeal is over, thank the stars. To anyone who's having the same issue I just had, here's what you do:
   1. Switch the hold/lock button on the top lefthand corner of your ipod on and then back off
   2. Press and hold the center and menu buttons down simultaneously until the Apple logo appears
   3. Your ipod should shut off and restart after this, and work as fine as it did before

I am having a similar problem at the moment. My ipod is a 20g and fairly new. It has been skipping through all of the songs as though they can't be played. I have soft reset it on numerous occasions and most of the time it has worked. But now I have reset it through itunes for about the fifth time and it won't work. All I have on screen now is the apple symbol and I can't get anywhere. I have updated itunes and reset my ipod after removing all of the music. It seems to be corrupted somehow. Is there any software I can use to wipe it or possibly defrag it other than what is available through itunes?
My computer can recognise the ipod but itunes won't.

Soemone please help! cant move videos to a different 'playlsit' or 'device'

i have m4s uploaded to my itunes however, they are only in the movies folder, i need to mvoe them 'music videos' or somewhere else where my car will recognize them, please help ive tried everything, ive created a playlist and it wont show up in the car because i think playlsits are only for music, any ideas? thanks in advance

Im obviously not going to watch them while im driving, but if you must know, i am part of a car club and its nice to have them playing while people are observing your car. Great to see people here to help. Before you jump to conclusions maybe you should stop being ignorant and find out the purpose of my actions are. Anyone else out there want to be nice enoguh to lend a hand?

You could do that, if you had "Find my iPhone" installed prior to the loss:
Locate your missing iPhone with Find My iPhone.
There is no other way to do this, and Apple can't do this for you.

If you are good with electronics, as in taking things apart and putting them back together, I would buy a used touch screen off of eBay or a trustworthy site, then take the front off of the iTouch, replace the screen and put the front back on. If you are not good with electronics, I would either take it to a repair shop or send me an email with video/ image of the damage at [email protected]

I am starting a serious recording session tomorrow using Garageband 3 and an m-audio firewire solo interface. I will be recording for prob months, but when it comes time to mixing and editing, I will want some extra things that maybe some AU units could provide...i am talking about ANYTHING...

My ipod mini won't switch on and i cant live without it !

My ipod mini won't switch on. I had been having problems for a few weeks before, transferring song lists to my ipod from the pc, showing the message "attempting to copy to the disk failed. An unknown error occured (-36)". I don't know if this had anything to do with my current problem. After un-installing and re-installing the latest version of installer, I went to switch my ipod on a few days ago and all that it showed on the screen was about half of the battery charging icon that usually fills the screen. I switched the ipod off again but when I tried to switch it back on, nothing happened. please help !

Please help i dont live near apple store!

can anyone just let me know if i buy a macbook pro from the apple website and a problem occured. who would i go to for repairs as i dont live near any apple store. however there is a place that sells apple computers called krcs maybe if someone could look at the site and see if it is as im a noob when it comes to these things. anyways thanks to anyone

you call apple, they send you a box, and they fix it. They mail it back to you.
You can also have it repaired at an apple authorized repair center, which may not be an apple store.
Please don't ask us to do dirty work for you. We can't make judgments for you, we can only give you information on support concerns.
