It is increasingly unbearable working with Dreamweaver

It is increasingly unbearable working with Dreamweaver, every time I work using tables, adding links in the tab "layout" program stuck, literally has multiple problems with apple magic mouse and you need to pay monthly for something gives me a lot of problems, I can not work like this ... any solution? ... thanks in advance.

What happens if you create a new site definition and then create a new, blank html page? Type some text. Save. How is your performance now?

However, Most Extensions in CC requires a ZXP format/extension and distributors have provided free updates to their customers. Have you tried contacting the person who created that particular extension?
If you can sort out the links then our experienced MVPs will help you out. They need to see what you are talking about.

WP Greek Century in Mac doesn't work with Dreamweaver

I am a many year PC user and have finally made the leap too Mac and its another learning curve .. That said, in Dreamweaver and in Mac, WP Greek Century does not work! I have reloaded the font and all I see is the alpha #.   If I load it into any browser, it still will not read greek. My old PC didn't have a problem with this. Some of the download sites say that this font, WP Greek Century, works with both PC and Mac. The one odd spin to all this is that this greek font works in Fireworks ... Is there anything I can do to make it work in Dreamweaver? Please advise and thanks. Mark
ps. I called Apple support and they could not help.

Fonts don't work on the web like they do in print. Any font you use on a
website will require that the end user have that same font installed on
their system.
I did try to load that font from a free source (assuming this is how you
got it). It is a PC TrueType and doesn't appear to work at all on the
Mac. Now if you are looking for just a few characters you can code this
into the HTML:

.html . As far as other fonts, this greek font seems to work on Mac:
http://www.dafont.com/ancient-geek.font . But again, it's not a web-font
so you won't be legally allowed to use it on web pages, and it will only

HTML entities previously linked.

I'm not quite sure I understand your point.
I have just tested the Open Browser Window behavior in Dreamweaver CC. It creates slightly different code from Dreamweaver CS6, but it works correctly. This is what is created in the HTML:

Dreamweaver CC also adds the following code to the <head> of the page:

window.open(theURL,winName,features);
</script>
The definition of the MM_openBrWindow() function is needed in the <head> for the code to work. But it definitely works OK.
With regard to _self and _blank not working, I can't find any problem with the way Dreamweaver CC handles them.
However, if you feel happier working with Dreamweaver CS6, you can download it from the following page:

Does Courebuilder plugin work with Dreamweaver CC?

Have you changed the extension from mxp to zxp? mxp works on CS6. You can use the CS6 extension manager to save an mxp to a zxp.

Typekit works with Dreamweaver but not with Muse?

Why is it that I can use all Typekit's fonts together with Dreamweaver and not with Muse?
The fonts currently available via the TypeKit font menu in Muse (3.1) are of very low quality. 98% of them are "display type fonts" at best in my humble opinion. I need high quality fonts when designing high quality projects for my customers.
If I want to use Minion Pro or Futura in my Muse projects — are there any workarounds that does not get lost when I update the site with Muse? For example via the "HTML for <head>" field via the Page Properties dialog window in combination with some other Muse features?
Does the Adobe Muse Team (or someone else) have a step-by-step guide how to accomplish this?

I searched for Typekit, fonts and Muse etc on the forums before posting and did not get any relevant hits. But now I think I've found the workaround in the column to the right of this very post under the headline "More Like This".

Firefox 3.6.11 will not work with Dreamweaver browser preview.

Upgraded to 3.6.11 today. Now the browser preview in Dreamweaver will not work with Firefox. I have to use browser preview nearly every day, so I need to go back to 3.6.10 - how can I do this?

Here's the fix. Dump Firefox 3.6.13 and Re-Install Firefox 3.5.16. Problem solved.

WOW Slider is built on jQuery (JavaScript) library. It's not a DW extension per se but the code it generates will work in any HTML page if that's what you're asking.

Best way to work with Dreamweaver files...

Hi guys... Am learning more and more about the server but still not 100%. I have many sites I work on, these were all housed on my iMac in a folder called '_sites'. I also work at home on a Mac Book so each day I would have to copy this folder over to the Mac Book and it takes atleast an hour... I now have a server so I have moved the '_sites' folder onto the server now. But now when Dreamweaver opens up it can't find the old sites, I can relink them to the server but obviously need to be connected to the server is there any quick way to connect to the server? Can I also add this into login items?

This got me curious Eagleray as I do this all the time within my Mac FCS to CS all the time. But to a PC got me a googlin. Hope this discussion _http://www.animotion.nl/en/tutorials/fcp-xml-premiere-pro-cs5/_ helps as quite a few students seem to have Macs at school and PCs at home. Also do be aware of the different formatting of some PC drives like FAT16, FAT32, NTFS vs the Mac GUID. The Mac can read them all with the proper system addons/drivers, they show up in System Preferences Preference Panes under "OTHER". I use NTFS-3G to mount NTFS PC drives. I think it was free, if not there is another one I used to use that is free from some open source NTFS group. FAT has the size limit issue of I think 2 or 4gb (you can't copy anything bigger than that at one time to a Mac from a FAT drive). I'm on Snow Leopard on my 8core. My partner who edits in PP CS3 on a PC brought over his Maxtor USB the other day for me to copy some video files from and it's been having problems mounting, I believe since I upped to SL. I threw it on my 6 year old PowerBook G4 running 10.5.8 and it mounted right away. Just another weird gotcha. But take a quick look, tho the title says CS5 in it, a few students were using CS4 on a PC.

RSS/Podcast Feeds...Can it still work with Dreamweaver?

Hi all...I've grown out of iWeb and am moving onto Dreamweaver.
With that said...I am still pretty much a newbie (and a consumer) when it comes to web authoring.
Can I still use iWeb to update and publish both my blog and podcast feed even though I am switching my site to Dreamweaver? I want only those two pages (blog and podcast) to be authored in iWeb because it makes it easy to publish.
Does anyone else have experience with this...or the best way to do it?

Sure you can. Just keep publishing your blog and podcast to .Mac or to a server of your choice. Then publish your dreamweaver pages to either .Mac Homepages (in the Sites folder) or to the same server of your choice. You can then provide links back and forth to the iWeb and Dreamweaver pages and vice versa to keep things looking like part of one big site.

Working with Dreamweaver for a BC Website

I am creating my website in Dreamweaver CS6 and using BC to host the site. When I make a change to the file and click the 'live' button in Dreamweaver CS6, it puts the entire site. How do I change this setting so I can put the site when I am finished editing it?

The point of the Live view is to see the changes you have made on production, which is why DW puts the files across. In any case I belive that unchecking this button in Manage Sites section will do what you need:

Hi I asked this same question in the contribute area of the
forum bu then thought t may be best to ask here as I wanted to know
if Contribute CS4 will work with Dreamweaver CS3?
I take it for granted that it will, I have a mac and will
create a site with Dreamweaver CS3 and then have the client who has
a PC to buy Contribute CS4, will this work okay or do I need to
