It is possible to run a timer job in Office 365 online?

Hi All,
Is it possible to run a timer job on 1st of every month for a list in office 365? I have a requirement that I need to send data of current month via email on 1st of every month. should I use timer job in Office 365?

Hi Darsh,
There is no option available to run a timer job in SharePoint Online (Office 365), SharePoint timer job option is available only in SharePoint On-premise.
Microsoft Office 365 provide an alternate of the SharePoint timer Job "Web Jobs" on Azure. You can create Web Job by 2 types
Web Job as a App on SharePoint
Web Job as a scheduler

Is it possible to switch from Office 365 online user management to Active Directory after Exchange online migration?

If we utilize the Cutover method to migrate from on-premise Exchange (2007) to Office 365, which to my understanding will hand over user management/authentication to Office 365 online during the process, is possible to later switch from Office 365 user management
to Active Directory (synced to a future local domain, or even possibly via AD federation single sign-on)? If so, how difficult is this process and is there any documentation available?
Asking this because the organization I'm working for plans to upgrade (re-do actually) its entire infrastructure. There will be a completely brand new domain/AD set up that's totally unrelated to the old one. At the same time, we also plan to migrate
all emails (previously hosted locally on Exchange 2007) to Office 365 and get rid of local exchange. Now because we will set up new domain, we do not want to carry over the older AD to the cloud, hence we will not use the "Staged Migration".
So the plan is to to use "Cutover" migration first, which means all authentications will become Office 365 managed. That's fine for now. But later, after we set up our new domain and AD controller etc, we'd like to have Exchange Online switch back
to syncing with our new on-premise AD. We'd also like to consider the AD Federation Services if it's not too complicated to set up.
Your advice on this would be greatly appreciated!

In principle, you cannot sync back from the cloud AD to the on-prem, yet. But you can take advantage of the soft-matching mechanism once you have the new AD in place:

Be careful though, as the moment you turn on Dirsync, all the matching users in the cloud will have their attributes overwritten. A very good idea is to do an 'export' of the cloud AD first, using the WAAD module for PowerShell and the Get-MsolUser cmdlets,
which you can then use to compare or import data in the new on-prem AD. Some links:

Error while running Real Time Job through SOAP UI

Hi Experts,
I am using real time job for search the duplicates in the data base using attribute values. After running the job iam getting correct result in the xml message.
I configured real time job in management console and taking the WSDL and giving the in put in SOAP UI then iam getting the message like this after 2 timedouts.

In Management Console,
PLease take a look at websevices-> partciular JOB-> historyLog-> errorlog and tracelog to see the more details of the error. It should definetly whats the cause of the error.

I think I did not explain my question properly, I do not want to create 2 variants with different time selections and run it as 2 jobs, this way I cannot have a Super Set for using Cache, what I am want is use just one variant (Jan through Dec) and when I execute this in the background, i want this job to split into parallel processes so that it runs faster...Can someone explain if this is possible. if so how can i achieve this..thanks in Advance..

Unable to Run Real Time Job Idoc Processing.

i am trying to run a job in which i m trying to process a SAP IDOC.
my source is an MATMAS03 type IDOC MESSAGE.
I m running it through Management Console.
the RFC is working fine, but when the idoc is getting processed, at the end i m getting the below error.

Manually Running Timer Job "Content Type Subscriber" on SP Online

I need to run the "Content Type Subscriber" timer job on my SP Online instance because the default setting is hourly. This makes it difficult to build out and deploy content types quickly because depending on when you make the content type
change you have to wait upwards of an hour to see it published.
When will we be able to run timer jobs using the PowerShell cmdlets or some other way? Is there a recommended approach by MS to handle this scenario?

What you describe is by design, I don't have to use a content type hub to reproduce. Only add a site content type into a list can show this.

Office intergration - run as background job

I have a word template merged with data using "Desktop Office Integration".
Currently word template will be opened before data merging is done.
Is it possible to run as background job, which word template can merge with data in backend? If possible, how should i work on it?

Scrolling problem with Elan UltraNav driver on Thinkpad L430, running Windows 8.1, Office 365

For some reason, touchpad edge scrolling, two-finger scrolling, and trackpoint+middle-button scrolling all fail to run in Microsoft Word 2013 (Office 365 University). They also fail to run in the Metro Mail App; and they mess with the zoom in Google Chrome. However, all three kinds of scrolling work fine in all other programs I've used, including other Office 365 programs (Excel 2013 and OneNote 2013).
I have the latest version of the driver installed (11.4.30.1). I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it several times, to no avail. I was strongly tempted to leave it uninstalled and use standard Windows middle-click for my scroll function instead, but that doesn't work in Windows Explorer (where the only scrollable area is also clickable).
Thoughts or suggestions?

Trackpoint + middle button scrolling works on all other apps except Google Chrome. This stopped working recently and after some testing I found that it is localized to just Chrome. Works in Firefox, Outlook Mail 2010, Powerpoint 2010, etc. I am using Windows 7 Pro on a X200S. Is there a Chrome setting involved to correct this?

"Jobs" are always background.
But I take you mean queries. Yes, since v1.5.x you can open an Unshared SQL Worksheet (ctrl-shift-n or the toolbar button).

We don't want our process to expire and also not to execute twice at once. We have a provisioning wrapper workflow which is triggered one time by an alert and it runs endlessly by creating an alert at the end of each instance triggering another instance of the same unless CPO hangs or goes to stand by mode. Since we belong to service team, we don't have any kind of access to CPO DB or logs, so that possibility is ruled out. Just checking for alternatives.

Get Running Timer Jobs by PowerShell

Kindly, do you know if it is possible to get the running timers jobs using PowerShell..
We can not write server side code in production as we can not have downtime.
... Is there API for it? Is there a limitation? Is there a workaround?
We have tried to get latest and check date by greater than that should mean the running one.. but it did not work..

we cannot simultaneously configure both versions of NETFLOW on cisco ios. After configuring firstone when you try to configure other version it will override the previously configured version.
