Hi, i bought this laptop on january 8 but, the laptop is Late 2012 so, i like to take care of my stuff, i'm very careful. It is ok if i clean the Fan with an spray or something?.

Problem with the Retina's is there is no user serviceable parts inside, so from Apple's standpoint you shouldn't have a reason to enter the inside of the machine to clean the fans and/or temporarily remove them to clean the cooling grill behind them that really get caked up with dust and lint.
Mine dissected was each side being half logged with lint, I removed it in a effort to save the machine but it was too late, you can see the residue.
There is no policy from Apple concerning this maintenance task, so if your under AppleCare or warranty I would advise taking it to them and getting the dumb deer in the headlights look from them because that's very well likely what your going to get.
It serves Apple's purposes and the store employees that your machine dies faster due to overheating because it turns over hardare faster and force you to buy a newer one.
If they discovered you have been inside the machine, stripped screw heads, break tape, painted screw heads etc., then they can void your AppleCare/warranty.
If you got one of the non-Retina's they are user serviceable inside far as hard drive and RAM, so if they found out you cleaned the fans it likely wouldn't be as big of a deal as long as you didn't break anything.
It's been getting worst each time Apple puts out a new piece of hardware as they close things up more and more and rig their hardware for lower turnover rates.
IF you want a machine you can keep a decade instead of only a few years, your going to have to get a Windows 7 tower.

The manual recommends using a blower when the automatic cleaning fails - or better yet, sending it to Canon for service. Sometimes - rarely - a blower will work and is the simplest and reasonably safe thing to use.
Otherwise many like the Sensor Swab solution. It is tedious and expensive, but I have used it effectively several times - especially on the 5D that seemed more prone to spots than the newer models. The problem I always have is going from bad to worse to finally better - a lot of patience is required and wasting or going through several of the swabs is not uncommon. Maybe my technique sucks, but I find it takes a lot of time and swabs to be eventually be satisfied. That said, I have never caused any damage and I have always managed to finally get the sensor clean. Along with the swabs, good lighting and magnification (reading glasses or similar) is also necessary as the spots that look huge on a photo will be nearly invisible.

Cleaning the surface of the iPad using other than water?

I have been using my iPad for about 4 days and have decided that a product like 'Gecko Guard' may be useful to prevent scratches.
The problem is that, having used the iPad, how to remove the finger grease that accumulates so that the guard will stay on the surface without air bubbles. Apple suggests water and a microfibre-type cloth. That will not remove the oily residue applied by fingers.
I am considering using my spectacles cleaner first, then using the water/cloth method followed by drying/polishing gently with a microfibre cloth.
I use OPSM cleaner and I was wondering if anything in this cleaner would cause a problem with the coating on the iPad's screen. Any suggestions?

If you follow the link at the bottom of the page to the Important Product Information Guide, it goes onto say the oleophobic coating may diminish over time...
Although this references the iPhone, the iPad has the same oleophobic coating, so a dry lint free cloth should be used to easily remove skin grease residue from the screen.
For previous non oleophobic screens, a lightly dampened cloth is recommended for cleaning the screen.
The change from a slightly damp to a dry lint free cloth would suggest you should keep moisture away from oleophobic coatings.
Having never cleaned an astronomical lens or mirror, I have absolutely no idea what the manufacturers of these things recommend for cleaning purposes, but unless the unit the lens and/ or mirror is waterproof, I would be dubious about throwing buckets of water (or even using water) to clean such specialised and expensive pieces of kit unless the manufacturer recommends the use of water for cleaning purposes.
I use Leica lenses amongst other Pro level Canon / Nikon lenses in my photography, water doesn't get anywhere near them unless they are housed in a specialised waterproof enclosure. The slightest gap around the lens fittings/ lens tubes would allow moisture in. Moisture within a closed lens system = contamination = fungal growth = eventually a useless lens.
But hey that's just my recommendation Mr. Brewer.

I have tried everything you can find on the net. From unplug the cable cord to cleaning fans. Smc reset en pram reset. Eeven more. Its a Intel imac 24 inch 2009. Help

Hooray, I think I found a solution.
Using terminal commands there actually is a way to force smcFanControl to set a tolerable max rpm for the CPU fan.
WARNING:
Be aware that this solution should only be used if you know what you're doing and you are absolutely sure the CPU fan on your iMac is indeed out of control.
Forcing a low max speed on a healthy CPU Fan with fully functioning sensors can seriously damage your Mac. You have been warned.
The solution:
Install smcFanControl
Go to the terminal and use these commands to regain control of your noisy iMac:
/Applications/smcFanControl.app/Contents/Resources/smc -k F2Mx -w 12c0
This will set the CPU Fan to max at 1200 rpm: (Oh yes!)
To revert to standard settings use:
/Applications/smcFanControl.app/Contents/Resources/smc -k F2Mx -w 3cf0
This will set CPU Fan to max at the default 3900 rpms
You might have noticed that the last 4 digits are the fan speed (in hexidecimal)
Other fan speeds you can try:
1100rpm = 1130
1500rpm = 1770
3900rpm = 3cf0
Now all I need is a way to make the setting permanent. Anyone know how to run the above terminal command automatically on bootup?

Out of warranty, the fan is noisy and CPU overheats whenever heavily loaded.
It's too much work to change it by myself. Just wonder how much will it cost?

I am not a fan (no pun intended) of blowing into the vents with the machine assembled. Most of the junk blows back into the machine. I think if it has had enough use in a dusty environment, it should be disassembled. I would disassemble the fan, clean the bearing surfaces, re-lubricate and reassemble, but if you are not comfortable with that sort of repair, replace the fan, or at least remove it before blowing it out.

How do I clean the dirt from my Macbook Pro's fans?
I've had my laptop for about 2 years now and I try and clean it on a regular basis, and it never really had any fan or overheating problems, but the past few months the notebook gets really hot and the fan sounds like it's going nuts whenever I try to stream or view videos.
I've reset the PRAM already so it isn't that, I was thinking that the fans might be dusty, as someone I know had a similar problem with their HP laptop and they cleaned out a 3/8" piece of dust/dirt from the fans and now it runs smooth.

Reset the SMC, a PRAM reset doesn't do anything for the fans. The correct process is:
_SMC RESET_
• Shut down the computer.
• Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
• On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
• Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
• Press the power button to turn on the computer.
If that still doesn't work then remove the back cover of the computer and use a vacuum to remove dust from the fan area. This is easily done if you have a unibody MBP.

Cleaning the fans?

So lately I've been having this intermittent fan chirping problem, and I've just now realized that this sound is coming directly from the vent behind my mac, so I ASSUME the fan may be all gunked up with dust and whatnot since the vent itself was VERY dirty.
My question is, is it possible to remove the imacs back-casing to clean this fan?(if so, how exactly do you do it?) and does this void the applecare warranty or something? I'm weary of blowing canned air into vent directly since that never seems to clean things properly.
Or am I better off taking the computer to an apple store, even if its a simple cleaning issue?

Vacuuming out the vents probably won't clear up a fan noise, for that you would need to take it in for service!
It would be better to vacuum the dust out rather than blow it deeper into the iMac, but be for you do any vacuuming or blowing first shutdown and disconnect the power. The iMac's main air intake is the grills on the bottom and the HD intake is under the stand, the exhaust is the upper slots on the back.

I'd like to know if there's a way to clean the iMac fans _without opening it_, and how often should I do this cleaning. My computer is about one year old and I've never cleaned the fans or anything inside the machine.

Never open the iMac, you could void your warranty. Just clean around the vents, keep them as dust free as possible. Here's another thread that might offer some ideas:

take it back asap. If it wasn't doing it before they cleaned the fans, they may have accidentally done something that is causing this behavior.

Can anyone recommend me a Northbridge fan replacement?

I have a MSI K8N Neo4-F nForce4 and recently i have been experiencing random crashes and lock ups which i think are due to the northbridge fan failing (it was making horrible noises).
I tried to replace this with the Asaka heatsink/fan combination thing but it didn't fit under the graphics card as there is only about 1.5cm vertical space available. Can anyone recommend a replacement suitable for this motherboard? Preferably a cheap one. =)
Also -i don't know much about chipset- is it safe to run the computer without a northbridge fan installed assuming i don't do anything intensive like games or whatever?

Now add some graphite powder in the same place where you put the oil, add as much or a bit more of the graphite powder than the oil. This is important if the fan is going to "sit up" as opposed to lying flat.
Now put the fan back where you want it and when it starts spinning it may be noisy for a few seconds until the graphite\oil works its way in. Then it will stop and it will stay stopped for many years and you may very well not need to buy a new fan after all!
I experimented a lot with this and this is the very best way to quiet all those fans and have them work well. I have always been a big fan of those removable ide hard drive trays that you can buy. But the fans are the pits, they get noisy real fast. So i had to find a way to fix them as they are very expensive and hard to replace. Now i don't have to. Combo of oil and graphite is the very best, by far. One caution, graphite stains worse than
oil, so be careful! I'm talking about staining your clothes and hands.
You can use this system with all CPU fans, video card fans, system fans, and even fans inside power supplies. But one word of caution, its easy to open a power supply and take out the fan, but do be careful as there are voltages there can can hurt you badly. If you don't know what you are doing then wear rubber gloves to get the fan out and to put the fan back in after the
repair!
Trust me, this will work. If the fan spins my method will work for years and I have even fixed fans that were stuck and wouldn't spin! This is better done with the fan on the table but in those cases where you cant or don't want
to take the fan out of the system, that's where the "pen" with the needle comes in again, but i still find a way to get some graphite in as well, graphite is what makes the oil last a long time! And graphite is also an oil, but you need both together for maximum effectiveness. Oil by itself will only last a few weeks or so and then evaporate, and the fan will get noisy again. Its the graphite powder that does the long term job. The oil really only helps to spread the graphite powder around really well so the graphite can do the job!

The type of northbridge fan used on some MSI boards, eg K8N Platinum & Diamond etc, require that you remove the fan from the board first (you will have to remove the motherboard to do this). This is because the top of the shroud is attached from the bottom by two tiny Phillips type screws. Once you have removed the shroud, very gently prise off the fan from the motor assembly. There is no need to try and remove the three other tiny screws that secure the fan motor in place to the bottom half of the shroud. Once removed, you will see that under the fan is a small plastic pin that holds the sleeve bearing in place.

You can clean the vents on your notebook.
Buy a can of compressed air. Essentially, you need to gently blow out the vents with the compressed air to clear out the dirt and dust. You need a can with a small straw like attachment for the nozzle so you can point it directly toward the vents.
Do take a look at this document first so you know which way to point the air and how to avoid damaging the fan inside the notebook.
