Yes it is, I updated my devices and didn't have any bad experience or find any glitches but sense I updated the second day it came out I had a higher chance of finding glitches... Ive had iOS 8 ever since and I'm having a good time with it... I've only ha problems with downloading apps but thats due to my apple ID having problems.

I updated my iphone4 with the update ios 7 and the subsequent update. I have only had trouble with the i messages. I have to "send as text message" about 90% of the time. WHat do I need to do at this point?
frustrated!!!!An update is in the works, try this temp fix:
1. Settings > Messages > iMessage = Off
2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
3. After the phone reboots: Settings > Messages > iMessage = On -

Yours is the third post regarding .tiff attachments I've seen. This is obviously a bug, as .tiff is supported. However, I don't know of a solution or workaround.

Pictures are meant to be uploaded to your computer for safekeeping.
Contacts should be synched to your contact manager app on your computer or a cloud service.
ITunes media should be synched to your computer.
Not sure where the data for iA writer is stored, but would have investigated this prior to updating my software for sure.
If cannot get back your data by restoring your phone from your most recent backup, then the data are gone. -

You can't. The iPhone 3G can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. It hardware does not suport a higher iOS.

Ever since I updated my iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 to IOS 6 all my iMessages are coming to both my iPhone and my IPad. How do I stop the iMessages I send and receive on my phone from receiving on my iPad as well? I have tried going into my settings and making sure I'm only set up to receive iMessages to my cell number and not my email....but that didn't fix the problem.
Here the way to do it, for both, or for only one Go into your settings, Messages and turn on iMessage. It will then send messages that are iMessages to both your iPad and iPhone. You can also turn off this feature on the iPad if you do not want to receive messages on the iPad.

An iPhone 3GS is too old to update to the very latest iOS and you will never be able to use apps that are compatible. The phone is just too old now in technology terms and the app makers have all moved on, so it's time to get a new phone.
Ideally, perhaps get an iPhone 4s or if you can afford it, an iPhone 5s or 5c which are the newest models. -
