It just can't be the inverter!!
So, I replaced the lcd on my 15" G4 because of the problem shown in this post:

Now that the new display is in, I'm getting a backlight failure. I can use the screen, I have full functionality, just no backlight. It can't be the inverter because the old inverter was fine, as you can see from the youtube clip in the link above. I hooked up the old display out of curiosity and it is black, too, and still has the lower third missing. What is freakin goin on, man!?
Ok, here's the updated scoop.
My 15" Aluminum Power PC G4 is running at 1.67 Ghz, 80GB, 512 of RAM, and I'm running OSX 10.4.11 I can't run the AHT 2.5 because the disc is scratched, most of pity.
First thing I'll say is that there were a few design discrepancies between the full display (hinges, case, and all) that I received and the one that came off of the machine. The main difference is the length of the lvds cable and the way the cable hooks into the airport card. This forced me to replace the actual LCD screen into the old framing.
I know what the inverter board and the LVDS cable are, and I am certain that the LVDS cables I have are working properly because I can see the desktop and everything if I shine the flashlight through and they both show the same thing on both displays (albeit, with the original, I'm missing the lower third of the screen).
I removed the inverter board while the display was running and nothing changed. I have two, so I replaced it...nothing. I know the original board was working before I replaced the LCD panel, and the new panel says it came with a working board. So either both could have failed or something else is wrong. There is one other small board inside the display housing next to the inverter board that I doubt would be a problem, but I don't know what it is. Here is a picture:

I have tried disabling all Add-ons.
I've reinstalled FireFox 6 three time.
Slide show pics fail to load.
I have all of the proper Flash and Shockwave type Add-ons.
I just can't resolve the problem.
Yet my browser repeatedly locks upSending a solution that I have already tried is of no help, but I tried them all again, reloading works sometimes, I have seen in the past that others have had this problem also, of pages not completely loading. So I don't see how you can say I am the only one. When I first started using Firefox it worked great but now it doesn't, one of the updates caused this problem. I guess it's back to IE as it works fine now.

After my iphone got wet in the rain the screen is dim. I have put it in a tub rice for 36 hours but it as not improved. The phone seems to be working ok just can't see the screen.
Thank you. I told it to the apple store in Southampton and they were fab. I was lucky and there was no water damage, the water indicators didn't change colour. It was just bad luck my screen failed at the same time as it got wet!! Screen changed and all is well. Thank you Genuis Tom and West Quay!!

Hi, since I've bought the iphone, my facetime never works, I just can't activate the facetime in settings, when I put it on, after some time, the phone shows the message: activation unsuccesful. Do you guys know what should I do?
Where are you, what network are you on and where did you get the phone?
If you are on an unsupported network, Facetime may never be able to activate. If the phone originated in a different country, facetime is probably trying to send an International text message to activate. If you don't have International text messaging, it will fail. -
Just can't find the popup to re-org my email folders.

When I connect my iPad2 to my tv using the AV adapter I can hear sound for everything else except movies. I can hear tv episodes, music, YouTube videos, etc. anyone have an idea of how to fix this issue? Thank you for your help in advance.
Just connect the new iPod to your computer and setup the iPod via iTunes (instead of via wifi).

When I got my machine two years ago and loaded Firefox, I could scroll with the red button that's on the keyboard of the Lenovo ThinkPad x200. Then, a few months ago, Firefox was updated. Not sure which version. And, now I can't scroll. The keypad scroll works in MS Windows programs. It just doesn't work in Firefox. I can't get anywhere with the options so I'm stuck for now. (The scrolling works in Internet Explorer). So, I think it's something that going on with FireFox not with my computer.

In general, you are correct - but also your server does need to be properly configured (and those errors above lead me to think it may not be) to serve the file types that your uploading - but it could be something else entirely. Can you zip up your composition folder, upload it to your Creative Cloud files, set it to share, and then post a link here so I can download it? If you'd rather not share it publicly, can you PM me with a link to your composition files?

Can't find the invert box in Layer Style/Quality
Adobe Photoshop CS4 Classroom in a book page 124 says to select satin effect then make sure invert is selected... but I have no invert box to select under anti-aliased (as the book shows). What does inverting it do? Is there another way to go about inverting?
That panel can be confusing. You're actually looking at the Drop Shadow adjustments.
Click on the NAME Satin along the left side to highlight it, and you'll see the panel for the Satin effect.

WHenever I try to load the Gamecenter App on my iPod it just says Loading... and nothing ever happens. I can't log into my Gamecenter account, to play games and it is extremely annoying. Over 90% of the games on my iPod require Gamecenter and I can't play them because when I click cancel on the Gamecenter pop-ups nothing happens. Please help me!

Please!! Thnaks!!!Replying to myself. Kept trying different areas of the ipod this evening, clicking various buttons, including some I'd never used before. All of a sudden I could see my Nano in iTunes. I quickly clicked on Restore before iTunes changed its mind about recognizing the iPod. Moved some songs onto it and it appears to be back to normal. Keeping my fingers crossed.

ScreenSharing won't show any windows. Can see windows Genie effect - just can't see the windows.
Running System Version: OS X 10.9.2 (13C64) "Server".
As stated - When I use ScreenSharing to access my account, I can see the windows minimize and maximize with Genie, I can see the windows in the dock when they are minimized, but they are not visible on the screen once I bring them 'up'.

No other users are complaining of this, but I'm a remote user in another state. I haven't accessed this machine since they upgraded to 10.9.2. I'm a local admin and I had a problem with the stupid keychain junk so I did remove ~/Library/Keychains/ and reboot the machine however the problem was there before I junked the keychain stuff.Please read the warranty paperwork that came w/your computer.

I can't download "season only" episodes on my iPad. I can download them on my computer but I want them on my iPad. I have no problems downing the regular episodes on my iPad. Any help would be great!
