It must be simple. Problem with a locked text, layer, or who knows what

Ok, so I'm a newbie with Indesign. The guy who was helping me with indesign here at my company is on vacations and overseas. I just can't call
him to ask this.
It's pretty simple. I am editing a newsletter, I took the old template to use as a base for the next issue. I started editing and everything was fine.
Except for the date (see the image, it's inside a red circle). I just can't edit this date, I went for layers and one layer had many sublayers, the
strange thing was, if I toggle off the visibilty for the whole layer this date/issue disappears, if I toggle off every sub-layer inside the bigger layer, it stays there. It's like it's inside the main layer group but hidden.
I know photoshop really well, but this is the first time I'm using indesign. Sorry if it's a stupid question
should I put the file here?

Go to the Pages Panel and up the top check to see if it is on the Master Page. You should be able to edit it there.

There seems to be a billing problem with the iTS. I've been trying to make purchases today (Dec 9th) too and it reports either the iTS can not process payments or it says my card was declined. I even changed the payment method to Paypal (which is never declined) and still no go.
I don't think it is "you" but a problem at Apple. Some popular new apps were released recently like Logic Pro and perhaps they're getting bombarded as they did when Lion was released.
Wait a few hours and then try again.

Problems with importing films in iMovie11. Who knows the answer?

How can I import films from my Sony DCR-SR36 videocamera in iMovie11? I've problems with trying this. Only once iMovie recognized my camera but didn't import sound. The other times I tried I used the import function of iMovie11 and saw the several MPEG files but weren't able to import them. Who can help me out, or is it not possible in any way?

If you are going to have drop down menus, there will be more things to change, but this should do the trick for a single row menu.

Must be simple problem with wiring...surely??

Hi all,
I've just moved into a new house and it has a VERY simple phone wiring. Master socket in the kitchen, and internal wiring that goes to one further socket in the living room.
I can not get my router working on either of the sockets. The only one it works on is the test socket behind the faceplate at the socket.
I have attached some photos in case anyone can spot the problem..?

It does occur to me though that if one end of the cable has been wired in the "old style", then it seems unusual that the other end isn't wired the same, as presumably it would have been carried out by the same person ?

What is the make & model of your home Wi-Fi router that you are attempting to connect your G5 iMac to? Which exact model of iMac do you have?
What wireless security type is your router using: WEP, WPA, or WPA2? If you temporarily disable wireless security, can the iMac connect to it now?

Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.

Problems with the Widget "Text Ticker"

Hello, I have a problem with the widget "Text ticker". I tried to put more then one text ticker on my site, but it doesn't work, when I look in Muse it looks like this:
and when I look in the preview only the first text ticker works...maybe it is not possible to have more then one text ticker on one site?

It seems you are using the same name for all the ticker instances on page.
You need to have unique names for each of the ticker you want on a single page. Tickers with duplicate names will not work.

Move or Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer or the backup of the old computer to the new computer.

Sounds more like you have a problem with your apple id. For starters go to that page click manage my apple id and singn in. If you can't sign in reset password.
