It now stops the session as soon as I hit start

When I first installed FME I was having issues with it
stopping the recording session as soon as I hit start, so I left it
for a while. Then I had to update my nvidia drivers recently when I
installed Far Cry 2 and when a colleague came over last night to
help me get it working again it worked fine for a while, but now
it's doing the same thing again. And regardless of whether I am
recording off the TV capture card or recording off VHS tape, as
soon as I hit the START button now to record, it ends the session
as soon as it begins. I have tried looking through the logs but
cannot see any identifiable issues that are causing it to do this.
I have also tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling
it but this has not resolved the problem. Are there any programs or
hardware that would conflict or have issues with this program? And
would I need to outline what hardware or software that I have
installed in an attempt to try and identify what might be causing
this issue or conflicting with FME?
Has anyone else had issues with it stopping the recording
session as soon as you begin? Any help would be greatly appreciated
as I have a major job looming and need to get this working.

I am making a program that simulates how to manage transactions when accessing a database by using locks. I have run into a problem and I hope someone has the time to help me.
When a user does an update the transaction commits and releases its locks when the program executes

I have tried to put in an alert box but this does not prevent the rest of the java code being executed.

I have tried using the java.swing JOptionPane boxes but this didn?t work either
I have tried to get input from the user but I don?t know how to retrieve this data on the same page. (As far as I know you have to use submit and even refresh the page or retrieve it on the next page).
Does anyone know how I can stop the execution on a JSP page and start it again (on same page)

I already have another client (Tomcat jsp application) running and it throws a SQLException correctly when I don�t put in a commit=true statement and don't close the database connection.
But the problem is how to get the code above to stop to illustrate I have set this lock.
I have tried to use the JOptionPane but because my program is running in a web browser I cannot use the JOptionPane dialog box.
I have tired using an alert box but it executes the commit statement before the alert box is dispayed. So this does not work

Have you tried adding your comcast account using the built in IOS mail app.
If you're using the Comcast Xfinity app, then look at their support site or ask the app developer.

Hi Mister_Do,
I just solved my problem by running the HP Support Assistant and then its Troubleshooting Program for Monitors. After it got done testing my monitor and its settings everything seems to be back to normal ....i.e, no more 'Auto Adjustment in Progress' messages.

How do i stop the new file pop up when i start the program

Everytime I start up Photoshop Cs6 either by opening a file or just the program in general i get a new window pop up each time, this is very annoying. I have tried resetting preferences but this method does not work and i have tried contacting adobe support but all they do is insist i waste money calling premium numbers

I Press on Search. now eggtimer comes up and goes on for sometime.

Sorry but there is no other way than to wait for processing to complete. Or else if you are using CRM 7.0 then you can use ctrl+N as a shortcut to open new browser that will directly take you to sap crm.

Not able to stop batch session

I have placed one session on error only mode.
it has been running for last 5 hrs.I am not able to stop the session.
Even after loging out of the system it still shows active session.when i tried to kill the session but it is not allowing me to kill the session.instead one more session is getting created.i am able to kill that session also.

Deleting Sessions
Use
Normally, batch input sessions are deleted from the session list automatically when they are completed. However, sessions remain in the list if any of the following is true:
They were generated with the KEEP option.
They contain errors or were aborted with the /bend OK code. (Such a session is deleted when you finish processing it, unless it was generated with the KEEP option.)
When you no longer need sessions that have been held in the list, you can explicitly delete them.
Do not delete any sessions that contain unprocessed transactions. You must first correct and process such transactions or enter the data in the transactions into the R/3 System in some other way.
Prerequisites
Start the batch input management tool: Select System ® Service ® Batch input ® Sessions. Alternate: Enter transaction SM35. Both paths take you to the session overview of the batch input system.
Procedure
To delete a session from the session queue, mark the sessions to be deleted and choose Delete from the tool bar. The system asks you to confirm the deletion. It also asks you if the session log should be deleted together with the session.

How do I stop a session that refuses to end?

I tried to convert a PDF to a Word document. There is a sign in the right side of the screen with a little wheel that keeps turning that says "Dowloading file from Adobe ExportPDF online..." This has been going on for more than 2 hours. I can't make it stop. Obviously, there's something wrong and I want to stop the session and try again with a different file name and see if that works, but every time I exit the program and then try again, the program just returns to the original session and that wheel just continues to turn. I have clients who are waiting on me to complete my work and the program won't let me move on. Signing out is not an option -- that area on the screen is grayed out and not available. Any ideas?????

IMovie refuses to import an archive after I stopped the first attempt!

I imported an archive to iMovie, and in the middle of the import, accidentally stopped the process.
I figured I would start from scratch, so I deleted the clips that had been imported and started again.
Now, however, iMovie thinks it already has the first clips (even though they're in the trash), and refuses to import them anew.
I still have the original footage in the camera and tried to import from that - NADA!
There is no longer an "import all" option available when I point iMovie to this source material. And if I select the fist clips and tell it to import, it just keeps going back to the later clips it thinks I want.
How do I tell iMovie to import all my footage?
I threw out preferences and caches - still, no joy.

How to stop the registration screen

I have had to reinstall my copy of FCE-HD. Since I had already registered when I first installed it, I don't want to send a second registration for the same product in if I don't have to. Is there a way to stop the "reminder to register" screen when I start up the program? It's not a major issue but it is annoying. Or, would the second registration of the program simply overwrite the first registration I had sent?

A second registration wouldn't do anything. It's the only way to stop the registration screen.

How much memory is installed?
What version of Mac OS X are you running?
When did the issue start occurring?
Did you recently install any software updates or new software that coincide with the onset of the issue?
Your post contains very little information to work with, but here's what I would do if it were my system.
First check the status of your hard driveby launching the Disk Utility application that is located in the Applications/Utilities folder. Click on the Verify Disk option and observe whether it reports any major errors. You can also boot from the Install DVD that came with your system by holding down the 'c' key and then pulling down the Utilities menu bar item to select Disk Utility. Either way will work. If the disk checks out OK then click on the Repair Permissions option.
To get a more detailed picture of the SMART status (hard drive error logging) you can use an application like SMART Utility which can be downloaded here. Obviously downloading a new application could be a problem if you're system is 'hanging' whenever you try to write something, so this may not be an option.

If you find any significant errors, make sure you back up your data if you haven't already done so. If there aren't any significant errors then go into the System Preferences and click on Users & Groups. Try creating a new user account and then log into it to see if you have the same issues. Creating a new user for test purposes will help confirm whether you are dealing with some sort of software issue.
If a new user account resolves the issue then open the Activity Monitor application located in the Applications/Utiliteis folders and click on the CPU button. In the lower left corner you should see a summary listing the % User, % System, % Idle. What are these percentages? If the CPU idle percentage is near zero then you have a process running that is consuming your SPU time. To try and find it pull down the menu to select 'All Processes', then click on the %CPU column to sort by the percent that each process is consuming your CPU. The numbers constantly change, but do your best to see if there are one or two processes consuming the majority of the CPU time and post the names. Then do the same test in the new user account. I suspect you may have some process from a previously installed utility, virus checker, etc. that is keeping your system busy. I've included a screenshot from my system below. It doesn't have much going on, and as you can see in the lower left corner the CPU is basically idle most of the time. If I were to launch a CPU intensive app the numbers would change dramatically.
