It prints higher after upgrade!!

Did complete upgrade again after a few months. Everything but printing looks like it's running as before.
I overlooked all settings, there is still A4 paper everywhere, nothing seems broken, but the system still tells the printer to start printing sooner! So now it printes some 1 cm higher on the paper and there is blank room on the bottom. Basicly everything is moved higher on the sheet. What happenned to it?

Why don't you recalibrate your printer first?
If that doesn't work you can start working your way through the backlog of upgrades .

  • HT1338 Do I have to reinstall my print drivers after upgrading to 10.8? I seem to have lost both my printers and my ability to download from my camera. Never had problems with 10.7. I'm a little scared.

Do I have to reinstall my printer drivers after upgrading to 10.8? I seem to have lost the ability to communicate with either of 2 wireless printers and to download pictures from my camera. (Photoshop keeps telling me it can't find the device.) Any suggestions?

Have you repaired permissions and restarted your computer after installing ML?  Checked your printer settings in System Preferences?
If Software Update does not list any updated drivers for your model printer, you should go to the printer's manufacturer website and download the drivers from there and/or contact their tech support to determine if your printer is compatible w/ML.
Read the various Knowledge Base ML printing articles.  Here are a few to get you started:
OS X Mountain Lion: If the software for your printer can’t be found
OS X Mountain Lion: Troubleshoot a USB printer
OS X Mountain Lion: Troubleshoot an AirPort printer
If none of the above work, post back w/the model of your printer and how it's connected to your computer.  USB?  Wireless?

  • Lost Deskjet 5740 printer driver after upgrade.

Lost Deskjet 5740 printer driver after upgrade. HP site has a download but it does not appear in the driver list after downloading it. Ideas?

Okay, as of last night, both the printers are working fine. I uninstalled the 5740 and then tried several different rearrangements of the two printers. First I tried hooking the 5150 to the AEBS and it printed fine. Then I tried hooking the 5740 to the AE and it printed fine. Finally, I tried my original configuration with the 5740 hooked to the AEBS and it printed fine! Very frustrating.... I'm not sure if Apple sent an update I downloaded in the meantime that fixed the problem or what. I can't think of any other possible explanation.
So to recap, I can vouch that I have an HP Deskjet 5740 connected to an AEBS and an HP Deskjet 5150 connected to an AE, all set up on a WDS (wireless distribution system) with Leopard and everything works as expected. Hopefully your printer magically started working again as well Bibycat.

  • Printer Problems after upgrade to Lion

Does anyone have this printer problem after upgrading to Lion. A perfectly functioning laser printer on my network prior to upgrade - now the network seems to drop the printer and show it as "not connected" approximately every 30 minutes ???

    Hi Paul,
Been away and just got back to this issue.
Thanks for the info. The OKI site has now posted a list of all their Printers and their relative drivers for compatibility with "Lion". My machine is due an updated driver from OKI in Mid Decmber according to this notice.
Meanwhile, as the printer does work with some tweaking I guess I will use the work around until the new driver is available. My legacy printers that i use for special jobs both work and as I do not have the disks for their drivers I am loathe to re-set the printer system at this time.
Thanks for your assistance in this issue.
    Regards,
    Mike, Rustington.

  • Printing problematic after upgrading to Yosemite

I have an iMac (21.5 inch late 2010) and after upgrading to Yosemite with latest version 10.10.1 my HP Laserjet 1320 does not want to print certain files like .pdf & or screen shots. I am able to print an e-mail from Mac mail but nothing else. I have also researched the problem but dont seem to find a sollution to my problem. PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks for the idea but it did not work, I do not know why it is asking me for a password which I never needed before for a guest to use the computer?  I have tried everything and I do not know which password it wants?   I do not see any option for a password for the guest account, to create one or delete one or modify it?  Maybe this bug\problem will be addressed in a future update?

  • Printing issue after upgrade from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.3

    Hi
I am trying to print the seed reports after upgrade. Text format reports are printing well, the problem is with the XML and RTF format reports, not yet tested the PDF format.
    Thanks
    Reddy

    Hi Hussein,
    Application release : 12.1.3
    Database Version : 11.2.0.2
    OS Version : RHEL 5.5
The problem with the seeded reports only, not yet started testing the custom reports, for the XML/RTF its printing, but the output has lot of junk. If I view the output in the Concurrent request, it looks nice. When I view the file from $APPLCSF/$APPLOUT it has lots of junk, the same way it is printing.
    Thanks

  • Okidata printer errors after upgrading to OS X Mavericks

Immediately after upgrading to OS X Mavericks, when I try to print with my Okidata C330DN color laser printer will NOT print in color.
    I get this message:
"The Print Dialog Extension could not be loaded because it has not been updated to run in this application's secure environment".
I contacted Okidata, who said "give us a week" to update the driver.  Well, they updated their driver, I just installed it, and get THE SAME ERROR...

This is because of sandboxing, and Okidata will need to release another driver that handles these permissions issues. You can try printing from a non-sandboxed application like Safari, if that helps.

  • Unable to choose PRINT WIDE AREA on EPSON printer 740i after upgrading

After upgrading to 10.4.5 i was unable to choose the print area in the page set up window. I use an EPSON 740, i had problems trying to print at the begining but solved them (luckily!). The print area is an option i use alot! because the print margin is bigger than the normal. I'm a graphic designer and i don't want to change my printer, it worked PERFECTLY with 10.3.... What can i do?

OK! So the Mac has the drivers. One small step.
Bear in mind please that I do not have that printer. On the Brother that I struggled with, the trick was to reset it and get it to print out the default settings. (Instructions I found on the Brother site.) Included in the printout was the printer's IP - 192.168.2.24.
I then configured the Macs to find the printer. In 10.8.2: System Preferences / Print and Scan / + / IP
But the first step was to get the printer to cough up the settings. Perhaps your manual has this info?

  • Printing Issues After Upgrading to Win 8.1

Can someone direct me or help me out please. I upgraded to Windows 8.1 on Saturday from Windows 8. I have a Lexmark 7600 Series that used to print, now it doesnt. I have tried everything that I can think of which includes removing and re-installing the printer, making sure the software/drivers is updated. I keep getting the following message every time I do a test page ..
    communication not available:
ensure printer is powered on, disconnect and reconnect the printer power cable, USB cable(which is how I print), check firewall, ensure the convenience port is not in use and restart the computer.
I have tried all of the above. I  research Wins 8.1 compatibilty with this printer and nothing is listed whether it is or not. I never had this issue but I have notice on the website that alot of people are having issues with this Windows 8.1 upgrade and printers.
I appreciate any feedback, help, links, anything that can help me fix this probblem before buying another printer which is not necessary since I know it prints on other computers in my house.
    Thanks
    Maribel

    Hey @Maribel09 ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're having issues with your Lexmark 7600 printer after upgrading to Windows 8.1.
You may need a driver update for the newer version of Windows. I would suggest contacting Lexmark support as they would be the most qualified people to help you with this problem. You can contact Lexmark support here: Lexmark - Contact Us.

    Hi,
after upgrading XP Home to Prof. you have to install the drivers and tools in a right order! Otherwise some features don't work properly! This order can be found on the Tools CD in a html file!
For the FN and F5 feature you need the hotkey utility
Also a BIOS update is usefull to do!
After that the System sould run!

  • Report printing issue after upgrading from LV 8.2 to LV 2009

    Hello,
I am upgrading an application from LabView 8.2 to LabView 2009. It uses the Report Generation Toolkit to create reports based on Word templates. The reports are pretty complicated, with a lot of bookmarks, tables, and graphs, but only one page long.
The reports are generated correctly. However when sent to printing (using Print report.vi), the printer goes into spooling status and if you are patient enough you may get the report after at least 7 minutes. I tried changing the printer setting to "Print directly to the printer", as per an old KnowledgeBase article. No luck. I have installed a local printer. No luck again.
If I close the LabView application while the printer is shown in spooling status, the report prints right away, every time.
Never had this issue in LabView 8.2. On that machine I had Office XP. Now I have Office 2007...
I do not get any error whatsoever, and I cannot figure out where the solution may be.
I have one single report that prints right away every time I try. Coincidence or not, this is the only one that has no tables to print. It has graph though and plenty of bookmarks.
I have exhausted all the ideas on how to deal with this situation, and I must find a solution ASAP. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Brandon,
    Thanks for your input.
Not sure how I can use it to narrow down the problem though. I ran it, and I see that the printers are correctly identified, the default one is correctly found, however absolutely nothing is being printed out (I typed a text in the string control, and the Print control was on).
Everything runs with no errors. I would prefer to see a bunch of errors ...
