It's Official - No AT&T for Me
I'm happy to report that my month-long battle with Verizon is over, thanks to the efforts of the good folks at the Federal Trade Commission's antitrust division. Verizon has officially informed me that, due to the extenuating circumstances of the situation, my account will remain with Verizon Wireless, and will not be transferred to AT&T. After banging my head against many brick walls, I was pleasantly surprised when my e-mail to the FTC was answered with a phone call from one of their attorneys, and within a week of that, I received a call from Verizon, informing me that everything was resolved, and I could remain a Verizon Wireless customer. So when the mail carrier brought my new AT&T phones today, I could smile and say "No thank you....you can send those back".
Now I can breathe a sigh of relief, and look forward to many years of superior Verizon coverage. Thank you FTC, and (finally) thank you Verizon Wireless!
Congratulations. I get to stash my AT&T phone around the house for a month before I will find if the network will deliver and let me activate the phone. Until then the Verizon phone is still active.

Where are the official microsoft ISO's for windows 10 preview?
Hi All,
Where are the official Microsoft ISO's for Windows 10, 10051 and 10056 preview? They are all over the web, but I don't trust them unless they comes from Microsoft itself.
Many thanks,
-TTo ToddAndMargo,
RE : Is there a way to manually go to Windows Updates and manually download a particular file
No. All updates will be downloaded and installed automatically. You don't get to choose which to install and which to decline.
RE : And I can't find 10049's ISO either (from Microsoft).
As of now, the only most current ISO available is for build 10041. Build 10049 ISO is not yet available.
When build 10049 is released from Slow ring, usually it is also the time its ISO will be released.
RE: ESD file. How?
One cannot download an esd file of build 10049 from Windows Update.
You download and install the entire build 10049 via Windows Update. When it is done, you can then find its Installed.esd file from RecoveryImage folder and use it to manually create an ISO fie. You will need a specific program to create an ISO from Esd.
You might ask " why do I need an ISO fie if the operating system is already installed ?"
Some users are advocates of "clean install". They prefer clean install over upgrade install. Clean install can be done by burning the ISO file into a bootable DVD or an USB with at least 4 GB capacity and use it to install.
You can also use the same media and install in another compatible computer.
It can also serve as an emergency backup incase you need to reinstall. -
Why not an official bash bug update for OSX
The is an 'unofficial' download on Apple Support web, but not it isn't available as a part of 'normal' software update. Why? Is the patch insecure or a bet-version? There is a lot of comments in social networks about a new generation of malware able to infect Mac devices. It's true? (Look at Dr. Web site).
The Bash bug and the iWorm malware are not related. The Bash bug update – which is quite official – is only relevant for a small group of users (those that are running a server). The iWorm trojan affects all users: they all receive an update for XProtect automatically: http://www.macrumors.com/2014/10/04/iworm-malware-xprotect/

Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)
Update 6/18: I have directed this thread to a manager of Palm's technical team, he advised me that many of these suggestions were forwarded to the development team and most are being worked on/considered. He also confirmed that an update is coming over the next couple weeks that will fix a few issues including the SSL issue with EAS... and there is another update that will fix the MSFP issues (security policies) with EAS email (in around 60 days) It's good to hear that Palm is very responisive to our needs and suggestions.
Update 7/11: Since this thread has received so much attention and ideas I have not been able to post all the different suggestions on this front page. I have put this forum thread in front of several sprint/Palm employees that do have a say in future updates... so please keep posting suggstions! Please also use the link below. Thanks!

Official support of Firefox for corporate
Dear sir,
I'm working for a global company that develops the web server program and it has to align with all browsers. It's now declared IE compatible and next is going to be Firefox. From the Firefox Help page, it has been stated that support is done by worldwide volunteers. That's superb! Anyway, would like to know whether Firefox has an official support channel for corporate specifically? (Like having response time or root cause target date)
Thank you and kind regards,
Chavanath C.Nope - community support is all that is currently available

Has anyone gotten an official fix from EPSON for printing on CD/DVD's?
To re-iterate the problem, I am unable to normally print CD/DVD's with my EPSON R220 printer after installing Leopard.
I get the following message:
"The EPSON printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed"
After hitting OK, you get brought to (what I call) the EPSON CD Print window which lets you edit Color Correction and Print Position but the "Print" button is grayed out.
I can use the workaround I found in these discussions (thank you by the way) by hitting "Manual Print" from this window and select A4 for paper size and I'm able to print using the CD tray as normal.
But has anyone heard back from EPSON with an official fix?
Thank you.I spoke to EPSON support via the phone today.
They said that the "Manual Print" option button is available due to the Easy Print software they released early November. This is their workaround and they said they are working on a real solution but it's just not available yet. -
Official SAP NW2004S Naming for Web AS Java
Hi,
can anyone help:
what is the official naming for Web AS 7.0 in NW2004S ?
In previous releases web application server only was referred to as e.g. Web AS 6.40, however from NW2004S this is no longer officially the naming here.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, RHi,
I guess that it is still Web AS 7 under NW 7 (according to service.sap.com/nw04), better known as NW2004s. But one never knows if on changes it. ERP 2005 is now ERP 6.

Official replacement home button for iPhone 5?
I live in UK and I have had my iPhone 5 for just over a week and the home button is scratched and loose, I was wondering If I can purchase and official replacement or send it to an approved repairer?
If its bought in the UK its warranted either via Network supplier or via Apple Retail if bought directly.
If its a grey import you therefore have few more and pressing problems in that the Warranty is in the Country of Origin and you may have to risk someone like
http://www.iphonerepairs.org.uk
Just I point of order anodizing scratches VERY easily. Its actually a process using dyes and an electrode to set the colour within the few micros of the top surface of the metal.
Don't place your iPhone5 anywhere near your keys or loose coins if you value the looks.
The home button must never be pressed with any force its just a contact pad underneath and that WILL flatten out the tiny spring contacts permanently rendering it faulty and leaving your button loose exactly as you describe. -
Official 1.2 Bios for K8N Neo4
Any one tried the new bios ?

Here it is: MSI with a brand new official bios 1.2!!!!!!!
Long awaited by hundreds of customers with a new winnie and the K8N Neo4 Platinum.....
OK, i flashed the new bios, i hit the 220x9, i hit the 220x8 and then i wanted to hit my screen fullspeed with my fist cause that damn thing stays blank!!
That was the last chance for MSI...the waiting is over....I will get a DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D and all the sorrow is gone!! And my K8N Neo4 (which is definitly NOT hot stuff for the Enthusiast!) will be sold on ebay! Or maybe i will it with a big hammer!!! ARGHHHH!!!!
Peace, Hammer1024
It's just your CPU that is giving you problems. You won't get any higher with a DFI. Trust me...
This '220HTT POST' problem is just something that some winchester CPU's seem to suffer. This is NOT a Neo4 problem.
How do I know this?
I had exactly the same issue with a 3200+ and a Neo4. Couldn't get it to post over HTT220 even tough I could get it stable in windows at much higher speeds using Clockgen.
Tried a different mainboard -> same thing!
Tried different 3200+ -> Problem solved!
Tried the new 3200+ on the Neo4 -> No problems.
So don't start blaiming your board and talking trash before you try another CPU! -
Buying official USA unlocked iPhone for use in the UK
Hey there - about the head over to the USA for a holiday and want to pick up an official Apple unlocked iPhone 4.
The specs say GSM - does this mean it doesn't have 3G at all? Will it work with a UK micro-sim on 3G or just EDGE?
Cheers!"3G" is absolutely not standard; in fact, "3G" as a term is essentially meaningless; it's mostly a marketing term and does not convey anything definite in terms of technology. "GSM" is a more informative term, being the connection technology used by many cell carriers, but even there differences can be found. In the US, AT&T and T-Mobile both use GSM but use different frequencies; the US iPhone doesn't support the frequencies T-Mobile uses except for EDGE (an older, slower technology).
Important note: the warranty on the iPhone is not world-wide. So you if you buy a US iPhone and it needs to be serviced, you will probably have to ship it to your US relative to send/take to Apple to get it serviced. Just so you know.

Official 10.1 OS for use on Verizon
Because Verizon doesnt know when there update will be released, Is there an Official 10.1 OS version update Verizon subscribers can use on their Z10?
In a word, no. "Offical" updates are pushed by the carrier when they have their people up to speed for support and have fully tested and approved the update for their network. Check here...

Official Sony Bluetooth Headset for PS3 charging time?
I was using my Sony PS3 Bluetooth Headset today and it needed to charge. Like anyone would do I took the cable and plugged it into the wall using. I plugged it in at noon. It is now 10:41 PM and it is still showing a red light meaning it is still charging. Is this normal? I bought it a few months ago and only charged it maybe 10 times, none as long as this one. My normal charging time is around 2-3 hours.
Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums.

Yes an announcement to all IDIOTS, it is at your own risk so don't bother sueing MSI like someone did already as our forum was almost closed down thanks to their ignorance...
Thanks for posting the link BTW, might take a look...
