It's possible read CHM files in n900? Fbreader says that have support, but it doesn't... I can't read a CHM file with fbreader. Any other program for it?

Please use the user Exit as mentioned below , maintain a Z Table to pick up the logical activity type combination with personal no, and at time of saving the Network activity system will populate the required activity type. This works surly.

Reading .chm files

I recently took the plunge and purchased a Macbook Pro and yes it is a dream!
That said I had problems reading .chm files to which one of the discussion forum users alerted me to something called a .chmox reader.
Whilst the chmox viewer serves my immediate needs i.e. allows me to view my .chm application; this application has files/application icons/objects embedded in it e.g. .xls, .doc & .ppt files which on my windows PC I was able to click on and open.
My problem now is that it is a viewer which means that I can see these objects but cannot launch them.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can solve this problem?

To view XLS, DOC and PPT files you will need MS Office or one of the open source office suites like OpenOffice.org or, its cousin, NeoOffice.

Is it possible to read a file using Illustrator SDK ?

Hi all,
I need to read the contents of a file by using my plugin, the file is in the illustrator's installation directory, is it possible read the file ?
In my plugin i am using a variable "myurl" to set the target url, i need to make the "myurl" as dynamic,
That is i will specify the target url in text file and the plugin will read its value at runtime,
Now what i am doing is , set myurl="192.168.1.103" in the code itself. So i need edit the code each time if i asked to change target its not a good option.

You could use the Preferences suite to store the url as a preference. Then you could either edit the illustrator prefs file manually to change it, or code a way to change it into your plugin.

I cannot get firefox to read a .chm file. Old Netscape does, explorer does, chrome does. How can I get Firefox to read a .chm file?

In Firefox 24.0 -> Tools -> Options -> Applications, I cannot choose a program (hh.exe) to read .chm files. When I choose to open a *.chm file I have only the option of saving it, not to open it. Other browsers like Explorer, chrome, even old netscape 7.2 allow me to open it and the program finds I presume the hh.exe file and away you go. I cannot find a way to get Firefox (my favorite browser) to read chm files.

I have no problem to hide/show a menu, but I don´t know what is the first event that runs after loading my plugin.
Is there other possible way to do this?

Have you tried implementing a startup/shutdown service provider (IID_IAPPSTARTUPSHUTDOWN)? If it's too late to hide the menu, then an IMenuFilter/IActionFilter should do the job for you to hide menu. Or you can dynamically build the menu on the fly too (see dynamicmenu sample from SDK)

None of the canned (standard) SSIS tasks let you do so.
But if you can buy http://www.cozyroc.com/ssis/edi-source (I am not anyhow affiliated with CozyRoc) it states it can read ERA (AKA 835) files. CozyRoc lets you run it for free in Dev.
If there will be a decision not to buy then you can simply crate a transformation out of several manipulations or by creating a custom SSIS component or some other programming methods need to be used.
PS: Again, I just know CozyRoc quality of components is awesome, but I do not make any profit from referring to it.

Is it possible to read archive files outside of SAP?

Hi Experts,
I would like to read SAP archived data (*.ARCHIVE.ARCHIVING) with non-SAP application. I already know, that data is automatically compressed (and maybe encrypted?).
My question: Is there some possibility to read archive files outside of SAP? I suppose that would be needed to do some decompress first.

Thanks for your reply. I found some points with your hint. Some summary for others:
460620 - Migrating archive files:
"Archived data may have to be migrated. One solution is to perform an SLO service archive migration. You can also perform an archive migration for archive files using the Archive Development Kit (ADK)."
153433 - Access to archived data from other logical systems
"For data security reasons, the ADK checks whether an archive file was created in the same system and client where it is to be read. If the client, system or file key do no longer correspond to the meta data that were valid at the time of archiving, you can no longer always access the archive file, particularly for reloading. If only the system ID changes when a new installation due to a system copy is carried out, read accesses are still possible. No solution is provided in the standard system. The access to archive files from other logical systems must be taken into account and carried out in a migration project."
Unfortunately, I still do not know if it is possible to read archived data outside of SAP.

Is it possible to read the file using file Adapter which is in client machine(on the same network).Then what is thee need of FTP Adapter?

You can achieve that by exposing your client machine as a drive, then you can go using file adapter.
FTP adapter will help you to communicate with different machine which is in different network.
It is considered good etiquette to reward answerers with points (as "helpful" - 5 pts - or "correct" - 10pts).

Na origem do seu problema podem estar várias causas. Nomeadamente:
O ficheiro (arquivo) que está a ler pode não ser texto, ou seja, pode ser texto transformado em imagem e exportado como PDF.
A aplicação de destino (onde está a tentar colar o texto copiado) pode não aceitar a colagem de texto formatado.
A aplicação que está a utilizar para abrir os ficheiros PDF pode não ser indicada para certo tipo de documentos. Experimente o iBooks, o Dropbox ou até mesmo o seu e-mail.
No caso de nenhuma destas causas estar na origem do seu problema, forneça, por favor, mais informações sobre a origem do ficheiro (descarga pelo Safari, Mail ou outro) bem como o destino (documento Pages, Keynote ou Numbers ou outra aplicação que não o iWork).

I have an requirement, where customer will upload an PDF file on an application and i need to read some data from pdf file.
The pdf file contains only text data in tabular format.
In past i developed an application for uploading data from Excelshet by using WDA . But just wondering, whether it is possible to upload the data from Pdf file also. ( Also if not possible then what could be other way to read PDF file data in abap)

NB - the "data" that is returned by these classes is the data as defined in an adobe form - it doesn't return the content of non-form PDF documents.
The PDF must be an interactive form ( although that doesn't restrict you to using the SAP process for creating the form is my understanding - but I could be wrong. )
Edit - I was wrong! ONLY PDF documents that have been created by the ADS can have data extracted using these classes. So unless you are using Adobe interactive forms - then you will get no value from this functionality - and if you're using AIF then you're probably just use the standard UI element

My intention is to use Flash 8 Pro as a tool allowing to

into the server (something like FTP client). Unfortunately a
lot of servers
have tight restrictions for transmition time (sometimes
limited to 30s).
Work around to this could be a Flash. I couldn't find any
information in
Flash documentation about reading binary files selected by
user by
HTML-like file field. I would like to read selected file,

Yes, I know that. That is the reason why I have written
'somethig like FTP'.
Ok, once again... I can create PHP script to receive POST
uploads. This is
no problem to me. The problem is that iddle time for scripts
on this
particular server is set to 30 seconds only. It means that I
can't upload
files for which transfer time will be longer then 30s. To
work around this
issue it is necessary SPLIT uploaded file into the chunks
then transfer it
to the server and join using e.g. PHP script. I need a tool
embeded on web
page which allows me to select large file (large sometimes
means 1MB) and
send into the server jumping over server time limitations.
Flash contains
build-in FileReference class but there is no described in the
documentation
how to send selected file as e.g. 4 separate parts of it.
