It's working perfectly for me now
I have to say that having been one of the early complainers about MainStage, I've now gotten to a point where MainStage 2 itself is working perfectly for me, and in the one case where I'm having a problem, I believe it's due to one of the plugins (Omnisphere) rather than MainStage itself.
I had a lot of difficulty getting MS2 to work flawlessly with external MIDI devices and it turns out that I had multiple levels of "bugs" that all had to be addressed. Addressing things one at a time didn't help and of course that left me "convinced" that MainStage itself was broken.
Turns out that after I fixed all the stuff that I had misconfigured, the reason I continued to get glitches (stuck notes from time to time) was due to a problem with my MOTU MIDI TimePieces (MTP). Although it took a long time before I was willing to suspect them (because they seemed to be working fine with other software), I finally took the plunge and experimentally disconnected the MTPs and replaced them with an Roland UM-880. I chose that after discovering that even though it's not made anymore, Roland is still supporting that device and had Snow Leopard drivers for it. I was able to find one on ebay.
My entire live rig now works perfectly with no glitches and it is an absolute pleasure.
Now of course that doesn't mean I don't have a wish list but I did want to set the record straight about my experience, a rather painful few months from beginning to end.

Thanks for posting back and clearing the air.
I still think Apple would do themselves better if there was some kind of documentation that covered the upgrade and possible problems. Not everyone will persevere as you have.

My brand new back up drive is connected but now time machine has disappeared after working perfectly for a week. - no icon, not appearing as an option to save to - have rebooted everything a few times.
It's not clear whether you were able to do any backups to this drive at all. If not, it's probably not formatted properly. See #5 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions for instructions.
If you did get any successful backups, there may be a problem with the drive, or the backups may be corrupted. Try to repair the backups, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting. -
I use Time Machine with an external hard disc which has worked perfectly for some years. Recently Time Machine has aborted backups if the screen saver starts when back-up is in progress. I use a Maxtor OneTouch4 back-up system. Any ideas?
Has Apple recently up-dated my OS (Lion) such that every time the screen saver starts it disables Time Machine. I have to switch-off the computer and re-start in order to undertake a back-up. I have now switched of all screen savers.Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.) -
My ipad says it is connected to WiFi, which is workingly perfectly for several other devices, will not connect to internet. It keeps giving the message 'Cannot Connect' or error has occurred or just blink off site or icon?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

So my iPhone 4S started draining battery after recent update, battery got changed and it worked perfect for 3 days, all of a sudden the phone shut down and now won't stay on unless connected to mains... Claims its at 100% battery but thats impossible as it was at 30% before it shut down randomly.
Cannot receive any signal "searching" constantly.
Turns off as soon as removed from usb ... wont stay on connected to laptop!

The exchange will be shipped to your door - someone must sign for the delivery so if no one will be at home, have it delivered where you work. Return shipping label and tape to reveal the box incuded - call the carrier with number incuded when the box is ready to be picked up. AppleCare will request a credit card in the event the existing iPhone is not returned within 10 days after the exchange under warranty is received.
Hardware can fail - it happens, which is why there is a one year warranty. -
I have a Targue Versavue bluetooth keyboard that has worked perfectly for 2 years. It lost connection yesterday. I charged the battery but it still won't connect. I just get a blinking blue light. Help ??

After working perfectly for two years my iTouch has suddenly stopped connecting to my Hub although my desktop computer still connects. I have tried everything I can think of, including suggestions off Google/You Tube but nothing makes any difference. Any ideas. Surely it is not fit for the scrap heap after two years, but is clearly no use as it is.
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I'm working with a Mac, with 10.10.2 system. My Audition program has been working fine for years now. But, there is a problem I can't solve. All my markers on a given piece of audio allows me to left click to highlight the time signature until my audio reaches the one hour point. From there on, the left click will not give me the drop down menu in order to copy and then paste into an Excel sheet I then have to submit for the proofing purposes. After the one hour mark, I can only control/c in order to highlight, then when I slide up to my Excel sheet, I'm able to right click and paste. Why is the program not, all of a su allowing me to left cllick the mouse and have a drop down menu give me the option to "copy, " as it does for any time signature markers up to 1:00:00.000?
Which version of Audition? With the latest version of Audition running on a Windows 7 machine I can't get a dropdown menu at all when I left click on the time in Markers List. The only way to do it is with cntrl-c.

Elements 7.0 worked perfectly for many years then stopped working about 1.5 months ago. I just finished at chat session with Adobe support, but we did not find a solution. At the very end, when I tried to run Elements in the sandbox, I got an error message saying that my licensing stopped working.
I have been trying to troubleshoot with Verizon support via twitter as well. So far I have gotten, to simply turn location off for 12 hours and afterwords see if it works again. This did not work. They said engineers are looking into it. Additionally this was a replacement phone via the HTC advantage program so I assume it is refurbished. I did not use GPS until the 5,0,1 android update coincidentally so I do not know for sure it worked when I got it.
The 2nd link shows the possibility of GPS breakage during the initial teardown of a return. Sadly the other issue is extreme battery drain. A 5 min phone call took 5% power and standby for 2 hours took 30%. No active background apps beyond stock, no auto sync, all devices but 4g data and WiFi turned off.
I think the software is not to blame. Seems HTC sent me an incrediby faulty phone. -
my mail has been working perfectly on my 3gs iphone. I can now longer access the mail after tapping on the mail icon. All i get is a blank screen with a reload icon and a write icon at the bottom, neither of which responds when touched. The icon continues to tell me how many mails I have in my inbox and continues to update.
Any ideas?
am on version 4.3.4 operating system.

hello, i have an iphone 5 it just fell into water and was in there for around 20seconds. I've seen on many of websites saying to keep it in a rice bag for 48 hours nd said it may work so i've done the same. I took out my phone from dat rice bag yesterday which worked perfectly alright for 6 hours and then switched off automatically! when i connected it to itunes it detected as a recovery device which after recovery during activation it shows as an unknown device! been working on it soo long! i live in mauritius here i have no official apple store but my phone is still under warranty. Please help me!!
When your phone was exposed to water, your warranty/support was voided, so you no longer have any warranty. An out of warranty exchange, from Apple, is US $269. Call AppleCare or whoever handles support where you live.

HT1551 My Apple TV has been working perfectly for a year now it doesn't.
My Apple TV has been working fine for a year, and now it plays about a minute and "An error occurred loading this content" screen comes up. This has been going on for 2 months.I tried to use it with Netflix and with movies purchase through the Apple store. Iphone sych also does not work.
Hi Brian - The light at the front of the ATV indicates it is on. I can't see it on the iOS remote app. Actually, I installed the app and when I went to the ATV it said 'no signal'. So, I am not sure if it is coincidence or what, as I did NOT go to the settings on the ATV and change the remote setting. I can't set it to another TV, can I set it to my MacBook to check? Java will not work on the computer all of a sudden. Now when I go to open a Pogo game room up i get a Mozilla red lego piece in the corner saying "Some plug ins have been De-activated for your safety, in the box will be "Java (TM) platform SE 6 U". I have removed Java7 and reloaded it, after that not working found Java6 and loaded and reloaded it and it is not working.
Now after 3 minutes of the room not loading Pogo will give me the error message of
Java Not Found or Not Working
Explanation:
This error means Java (one of the technologies built into most browsers) is not working correctly on your browser.

I have done the click here in last sentence and all it wants me to do is download Java7 which was the first reason it was not working.
Hopefully I have explained this well enough, from Mozilla this is what I get BUT if I go to Internet Explorer (which I HATE) the Java6 and Java7 work perfectly fine. So apparently the Java is downloaded correctly I just can not get it to play nicely with Mozilla and that is my main goal.
EA games help page has gone through it all with me and have proven over and over (after 1 hour sessions, 45 waits for them) Java is working on my computer perfectly with IE just not on Firefox and with the rural situation I have become dependent on Mozilla because of the no fiber optics here it has been my best and only source of successfully using the internet here in the far out part of the country.Thank you so much, for once in my computer life I knew what the problem was, what caused it, why it was caused, what it did, what it made it do and most importantly how to fix it and to do it correctly and expeditiously. I can not Thank You all enough for all of the help! I also have Pogo mailed this to all on my friends list, where they have all learned as I have and have fixed theirs also. and the message is being spread. Thank You again, I just can not say it enough.

I have been using Facetime successfully for months to communicate with my elderly mother in the UK (I am located in Canada)? Today we tried Facetime and we could hear each other but I could not see her. She could see me ok however.
As I wasn't sure whether the problem was with my iPad or hers I made a FaceTime call to my brother-in-law in the UK, this call worked perfectly. I then tried a Factime call with a friend in Canada and it also worked fine.
My mother could see herself in the small window so we know that her camera must be working.
Here are the IOS versions for the four IOS devices used in these tests..
My mothers iPad 2: IOS 4.3.5
Brother-in-law's iPad 3: IOS 5.1.1
Friends iPhone: IOS 6
My iPad 3: IOS 5.1.1
My questions are as follows:
Q1/ Has anyone heard of Facetime problems between newer and older iPads as a result of Apple rolling out IOS 6 recently?
(maybe there have been some changes to the FaceTime servers as part of the IOS 6 rollout?)
Q2/ Is it possible to update my Mothers iPad 2 (IOS 4) to IOS 5.1.1 and do this without using a computer? (I would prefer her to update to 5.1.1 and hold off updating to 6 because of all the issues I read of users having problems with 6, including FaceTime issues)
My mother is in her 70's, and has no computing device other than her iPad. She can just about manage to figure out how to use the basic features of her iPad. Therefore the update process needs to be very easy and straightforward otherwise she is likely to get very confused, very quickly!
Facetime has been brilliant for my mother and keeping in touch with her son, thousands of miles away, we would really like to get Facetime working again.
Can anyone help?You will not be able to block IOS 6. You can try blocking it with a webfilter or firewall but if the students take these home or connect to another network or iTunes they can get it that way. You will find that the vast majority of all apps will work with 6 or have been updated to work with it by now.

Capture worked perfectly before, but now causes FCE to quit.
Suddenly now, using the "Capture" command causes FCE to quit completely, without even the message "The application..." appearing.
Up until now, my setup worked fine, and I was able to capture perfectly with this setup:
OS X 10.3.4
QuickTime 6.?
Final Cut Express 2.0.3
Sony DV camera in one FireWire port,
External HD in other port (turned off)
For two years, the above setup worked perfectly and I was able to capture DV from the camera with no trouble.
I recently upgraded the system software and now I am using:
OS X 10.3.9
QuickTime 7.1.3
Final Cut Express 2.0.3
Sony DV camera in one FireWire port,
External HD in other port (turned off)
I also recently added AT&T/Yahoo DSL service, but that is on the Ethernet port so I don't see how that could affect the FireWire port or Final Cut Express. The camera and hard drive have not changed. All that has changed is upgrading to OSX 10.3.9 and upgrading QuickTime to 7.1.3. Now, when I attempt to capture, Final Cut Express simply quits without any messages at all. Any suggestions?
