It says " cannot connect to itunes"
I can't download any apps today and every time i try an icon that says cannot connect to itunes will appear. What's the problem? I have no problem with my internet connection though. Is itunes having their maintenance? Pls. Help
There was an issue earlier. http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/
If the issue is still happenign, I would close all apps http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137 and then restart your device http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Once back on, try again. The particular app may be stuck in a loop, try to downlaod a new free app.

Remember, any purchased item from the itunes store is forever associated with the Apple ID used to buy it. So when you get prompted for an ID/password and it doesn't accept it, then you are using the wrong ID.
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores, be sure it's logged into the ID you have set on the iphone (since that one seems to be connecting with the right ID). If you've done this, then you might wait a bit to see if the "cannot connect to .. store" message has to do with internet connections. -

My app store won't work on my iPod Touch 4gen running on ios 6.1.5 and when I open app store it says "cannot connect to iTunes Store" i shut my ipod down and turned it back on but it still dosn't work but it will open on my Mac Book Air. If sombody could tell me how to fix this that would be awesome!

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings. -

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

actually i found out how to fix it
1 sign out of apple account
2 close down passbook app
3 change year to 2013
4 reopen passbook and sign in at the button with your apple ID
5 change the time to auto update and it should work from now on.
