It says I am missing some plug-ins so I tried to update. Any tips?

When I try to open up guitar effects in Logic Express 8, it tells me I am missing the following plug-ins" "Pedalboard", "Amped", "AmpDsn". I tried to update but not having any luck. Any ideas?

you're probably trying to open a logic 9 song in logic 8. pedalboard, ampdesigner are only included in logic (express) 9. but how did you try to update? did you try to update to logic express 9?

I run logic pro 9.1.5 in 64 bit mode on lion osx and my waves plug ins won't show up. Any suggestions?

recenlty i purchased the Kramer mpx master Tape plug in from waves and i try to make it work in logic but no luck.. I switch it as well in 32bit mode some plug ins from wave are showed up but they are not operational. There are a few of them that i can load up... but the ones i really need are really not there..
Have the logic pro 9.1.5 on lion osx and a mac pro early 2008 model...
Any suggestion that i can every works fluently like it suppose to work?

The crashed thread (7) mentions logic's preferences file. (com.apple.logic.pro). Drag it to the desktop (so you can reclaim you key commands if it works) and restart logic. Logic will create a new preferences file. Worth a try..

Only if y can get the iPod out of recovery mode with the program. Otherwise you will have to restore via iTunes which erases the iPod.

Can't open Indesign file. Error message says I need to upgrade plug-ins?

I created a business card for my husband from my indesign 5.5 version. I haven't upgraded my version since creating the file and for some reason I can't open the file. I get the error message 'Cannot open "Business Card - Ryan.indd". Please upgrade your plug-ins to their latest versions, or upgrade to the latest version of Adobe InDesign.'
When I look at the business card file with finder it says it was created with InDesign 5.5. When I view my InDesign application through my finder applications it says I have InDesign 5.5 so I'm not sure why this error message is saying to upgrade my version of InDesign.

I wish I had a dollar for every person who claimed there was no way a file was saved in a later version only to find out it was.

Missing Mail Plug-ins?

I sent an email containing a couple of jpg's.
In the conversation view, my sent email has a blank space for each jpg's with the words "Missing Plug-in".
Are there really some missing plug-ins or does this mean something else?

My daughter sent me 2 photos from within iPhoto & I could not open them either. My email also has a blank space and the "Missing plug-ins". That is the case with both my MacBook (OS X 10.6.8) & my iMac (OS X 10.7.1). I eventually copied the photos to the desktop & imported them to iPhoto. Some wrong here!!

InDesign misses 150+ plug ins, then shuts itself down.

Cannot launch inDesignCC. Downloaded it, then when I try to launch the program: After some 150+ messages about missing plug-ins, it shuts itself down. This means I cannot deactivate the program either. (and re-install, see if that would help). Anyone who knows about this problem?

No need to deactivate to reinstall on the same machine, but you might want to use the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3)
