It says i need to Download Flash Player

but when i download it says i have it all ready

According to the More system details on your post, you do have the Flash player installed.
Sometimes sites tell you you don't have Flash if their script doesn't detect it or if their scripts do not run. If you are running NoScript or any other add-on that could be blocking scripts, check there to make any necessary exceptions.

        Enable Plug-ins
        Safari > Preferences > Security
        Internet Plug-ins >  "Allow  plug-ins"
        Enable it.
Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.

  • We are getting a pop up that says we need to install flash player plug in. we tried everything, nothing works

we can't play any games. it says we need to install additional plug in, for flash player. when we attempt to install, it says we already have the newest version installed. but nothing works. can not find the install anywhere. we had a computer person working on it and she could not figure it out. she tried everything. Do we need to uninstall firefox and reinstall it?

Could you review your plugins list and see which (if any) Adobe/Shockwave plugins you have now:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category
When you go to the following download page and choose "Flash Player 11 for Other browsers" and download the installer, what is the actual name of the file that gets saved?
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
    Mine's called "install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe"
Occasionally software installs are not completed until you restart Windows. You might want to try that at some point if you haven't already.
Adobe has a cleanup tool described in this article where you can scrub out all Flash versions and start again. [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems]]
I do not recommend uninstalling Firefox.
You can refresh your Firefox installation or update to Firefox 20 by running the Firefox installer. You do not need to remove the old version first. You can get that download here:

  • Kuler says I need to update Flash Player

I am trying to use Kuler, but it keeps saying I need to update to Flash Player 11.4.  When I try to update, the newest version I can get is 10.something, and Kuler will not work! Please help!  I love Kuler, and hate not being able to use it!  I use a Mac, OS X version 10.5.8 if that helps.  Thank you!
    Janie

Candy Crush uses both Flash and Shockwave.
Use the Flash Player Uninstaller to remove Flash Player.
Use the Shockwave Player Uninstaller to remove Shockwave as well.
Reset Firefox. (Uninstalling alone will often leave your Profile folder which DOESN'T change anything)
Download the Flash Player FULL installer: Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers) and run it.
Download the Shockwave Player 12 FULL Installer and run it to replace the Shockwave for Firefox.
You should be good to play after that.

  • I'm being told I need to download Flash player even though I have installed the latest version

I'm using a Mac with Mac OS X, Version 10.7.5, with Safari 6.0.2 as my browser. I haven't had any problems with Flash player until today. Now suddenly, when I try to view Flash content, it tells me I need to download/install the latest version of Flash Player. However, I have installed it multiple times. I even uninstalled it and re-installed it, re-started my computer, etc, and it still won't work. What else can I try??

Does this happen with all Flash content?  Do you see the animation and version info when you go to this page?
    Flash Player Version
If not, please go into Safari's preferences dialog, the security tab, and verify that Enable Plug-Ins is checked.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • HT5655 So do I really need to download Flash Player? Is it causing problems with Macs? I have heard opposing views... I have Mountain lion 10.7.5.

I am confused as to what I should do about the Adobe Flash Player. Did Apple block it for a reason? Has that reason now dissappeared? Do I even need Flash player anymore? I have heard numerous, conflicting comments. This is just my home computer.... not a business or anything fancy. Thanks.

Gaping security holes have been affecting Java. Recently Adobe plugged a hole found in Flash.
Adobe has since released an upgrade you can install if you need Flash. Oracle released a new version of Java for those who need to use Java in their browser.
    Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.149
Java SE Runtime Environment 7 1.7.0_13

  • Trying to install flash player onto an iPad but saying I need to have flash player to install it?

My iPad is not letting me download this because I do not have flash player? I have already installed an app but unsure about how this helped. I would be eternally grateful if you could help me

There is no Flash Player for iPad. Apple doesn't allow it.

  • I have IE8 on an XP machine and just installed FF on it, too. Flash Player is working in IE just fine. However, it seems I need to download Flash Player for FF.

That won't interfere with my current Flash Player working in IE, correct?(And do I later still update Flash Player in IE independently? What happens with my machine prompts me to update Flash Player in the future?
    Thanks!

  • I just got my mac air and i'm trying to do homeworl, but it's saying I need the adobe flash player plug in...I went to the website it took me to and downloaded it but no good. still can't do the hw. any ideas??

I'm new to having a mac so if anyone could help me out that'd be great. Is there anything different with plug ins for the internet when it comes to mac? so confused

If you have already downloaded it, have you installed it yet? I know the most recent Flash plug-in isn't optimized for Chrome, but Safari works just fine with it. There should be an arrow pointing down in your upper right hand corner of the screen. If you tap on that, it will list your downloads. Tap on the Flash download and you should be able to follow the prompts to install the plug-in.

  • Whenever I try to go into facebook on home puter it says I need to upgrade flash player.

I updated it from the adobe website but no joy. I think its a nasty (virus, malware) but av, etc couldn't find it.Anybody else had this problem?

    What OS?
    What browser?

  • I downloaded Flash Player and it still says I need to download!

I and using a Mac OS X version 10.5.8 and I recently updated Safari to version 5 and ever since my Flash Player hasn't been working.  When I try to watch videos, it says I need to download Flash Player, so I go through the whole download process and when I try to watch a video, it still says I need to download Flash Player. When I troubleshoot my flash player it says "content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player" but I have the newest version. My Flash PLayer worked fine until I updated Safari, why is this happening?

Hi, It would be nice if the websites would use the word "Install" instead of download; big difference:-) Flash Player works in the browser, so the websites are looking for the Flash Player control, which is the Shockwave Flash which should be in your Safari browser. If you have Quicktime and know where the plugins are located, look for it there. It must be there and Enabled.
If not, then my guess is that the update to the newer version of Safari either caused a glitch or disabled it.
Using Safari, go here to test, then let me know if you can see the animation of the Flash logo(spins) and what version of Flash Player is displayed.   http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

  • I tried to play games on facebook, I received the mesage that I needed flash player, I downloaded flash player, however when I returned to facebook, I received the same message, Download flash player?:?

I logged on to facebook and tried to play Zygna poker, I had a message that I required Adobe flashplayer 10.xx. I downloaded and installed the flash player. reboot and logged back on to facebook. Clicked on the poker icon, I received the same message. "I needed to download Flasher Player to play this game"

If your Flash player works on Adobe's test page --
    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
-- then the message may indicate that the script the site uses to set up the Flash player did not run properly.
There are many reasons that scripts might be blocked on a site, including: you having installed the NoScript add-on (in that case, use the NoScript menu to allow the site to run its scripts) or security software set to filter out scripts. Not sure if either of these apply to you.
