trying to install the newest version of itunes on my pc and am getting "program cant start because msvcr80.dll is missing from your computer" reinstalling doesnt work. and then it says error 7 (windows error 126). Any help would be appreciated. Using Windows 7 enterprise on an hp Z600
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

how do i resolve this....the program cant start because MSVC.dll is missing from your computer.ive uninstaled and reinstaled i tunes, still getting this message
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

A recent download of an iTunes update, for some unknown reason, failed on my computer. Since then I get a system error message everytime I log on telling me that the program cannot be opened because 'MSVCR80.d11' is missing from my computer. When I try to open iTunes I get an 'error 7 (Windows error 126)' message and am advised to reinstall iTunes. However, when I attempt to do this, it downloads the programme and gets as far as installation, at which point I get yet another message: this time 'Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start'.
I am at a loss to know what to try next and would appreciate any assistance. I'm also concerned that, in the process of reinstalling iTunes, I am going to lose all the music I have collected over the years.Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

When/where are you getting this error. Are you getting this error moment you start setup.exe file ?
Do you find logs related to setup in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\120\Setup Bootstrap\Log

thanksI've just (finally) managed to fix this problem today. I checked the Apple Support forums, and it seems a lot of people are having the same problem.
I rang the Apple Support line, and the very helpful man (thanks Alan!) talked me through it stage by stage. If you go to the following page on the internet: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376 it takes you through the process. WARNING - it takes a little time!
Basically, the first thing you have to do is go to your Program Files and double click on your iTunes folder. There'll be a number of files with the suffix .dll - you need to move all the .dll files from that folder to your desktop - you can simply click and drag them on the desktop..
Next, uninstall iTunes - go to Control Panel / Add/Rempve Programs and when the list comes up remove iTunes. This will take a few minutes... Then reboot your computer.
Next, go back to Control Panel / Add Remove and Remove - IN THIS ORDER -
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot again!
Next, check in your Program Files that the iTunes folder is completely gone - if it has, great: if it hasn't, right-click on the folder and press Shift and Delete - it will say "Are you sure you want to completely remove the folder "iTunes"? Click on "Yes".
Reboot!
Then go to the iTunes download page and voila! It should download iTunes without any problems... well it did for me.... Good luck! -
When I plug in my Ipod Touch to my computer I can not access my Itunes library. The following message appears "The program cant start because MSVCR80.dll is missing." Also, another message appears as well - "Error 7 Windows error 126" as well as APSDaemon.exe.
I have NO IDEA what the heck to do.
Any ideas?

Using Windows 7, I attempted to install an update for Itunes, when i returned to computer it gave this message ....Program cannot shut because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. When I tried to open itunes it told me becuase of this error I needed to reinstall Itunes, my question is do I need to uninstall first before installing and will I lose contents of my library if I uninstall?
Hey Dianna Walker,
Thanks for the question. Yes, you'll want to completely remove iTunes and all related components (it is important to remove all components in the order listed):
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

Note that uninstalling iTunes will not affect your iTunes Media folder or iTunes Library.

Ononecorefoundation.dll Is Missing From Your Computer- Error Message
This error can occur if there are older plugins lingering in your plugins folder of Photoshop after installing Suite 8 and trying to launch Photoshop. To correct the error go to your: [Local Disk (C:)]\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CSx 64bit\Plugins:Delete
PS: I only deleted the old obsolete OnOne plugins, and left their newer plugins, That worked and now Elements 10 is working just fine -
