It seems outrageous to many of us that Firefox 4.0 would no longer be backwards compatible with at least one previous OS such as Tiger!

When I first attempted to upgrade to 4.0 on my workstations that still use Tiger, I get a message saying that “the current system is not compatible with the new version of Firefox”.
So why force people to upgrade their OS, before they can upgrade their browser?
And how can I send you any feedback (besides this email) if I need to have 4.0 to be able to even write to you?
Why don’t you provide an email address along with your physical address, so people can reach you whether or not they have
the current version of Firefox???
I won’t upgrade my Operating System until I am ready, not because Firefox says so.

Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:

But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
With SilverLight, Microsoft attempted to create their own version of what a replacement for Flash could be - but not to universal acclaim. You can read more about it here:

So, if you go to any sites that have been designed for this new Silverlight stuff, you can download the plug-in from here (but make certain that you are downloading SilverLight v.1.0 for OS X (10.4.8 upwards) if you are using a PPC Mac, but even this will not work with Safari 4. I can't restore my data from my iphone5s or ipad to my new iphone6, because it woulkd seem that none of the available backups from icloud are compatible with iOS 8.0.2, which is what the new iphone is running. (or so it seems).

Your iPhone's iOS must be same or newer than the one in backups. In your case it is older so you need to update your iPhone and then recover it with backup.

Should I leave Verizon with one month left on my contract so I can upgrade? The ETF seems worth it considering the bad customer service I received and how long I've been with Verizon.

I've been with Verizon for a really long time and one of the best things about their upgrades was that they used to allow you to do it a little early. And since you dont really keep up with plan changes until a new phone comes out or you are closer to your upgrade eligibility date, I didnt realize that they changed this. My phone is on its last leg. 2 years is a long time for a device that you use every day, 50 times a day. My upgrade date is a month away and I'm considering moving to a different service and letting them pay for my ETF. I have called Verizon asking if there was anything they could do to allow me to upgrade early and they said no. When did this start happening? They tried to sell me the "Edge" but thats the same as paying 700 dollars.

I go to Greenville Technical College in Greenville SC where I take online courses. The school utilizes a program called Blackboard which runs something called Campus Edition 8 service pack 3 (CE8.3). This fall I logged in after taking the summer off to discover that my Mozilla 5 is not compatible with their system. The Blackboard support pages indicate that the CE8.3 is compatible with Mozilla 3.o. My problem is that I cannot find that version to download for a reinstall of the browser. Can you help me? I just ran the most current Firefox update and now the program won't open. I keep getting an error for the XUL Runner that says "Platform version 6.0.2 is not compatible with minversion =6.0.1 maxversion 6.0.1. Restarting didn't clear this problem.

Is there a wi-fi analyzer app for ios7 that will display the channels on my wireless modem and the strength of these channels. I would like to select the channel with the least amount of traffic.

I Would like to use my iPad to view traffic and strength on the channels supported by my wireless modem. Android has apps of this nature. I cannot find one on the App Store. I tried all the free apps and read descriptions for the paid apps. I don't think it is there. Is there a wi-fi analyzer that will work on my iPad air? Ios7.

I'm looking for a channel number indication, too. I had an app that would do that (WiFiFoFum) but it stopped working a year or two ago and I've been borrowing people with Androids. It's getting to be annoying now!

The scenario is scheduled to run each hour. It failed with "Error during Scenario launching" at 'Aug 7, 2010 12:12:51 AM', then successed at 'Aug 7, 2010 13:12:51 PM' and so on without stop-start agent. It just failed with no hint and "self-repared" then.
At mean time, I found the agent process occupied to much virtual memory. It just took more then what ODI_MAX_HEAP setting as long as it start, and then won't release it. Really weird.

Adding an entity with a COA that is not compatible with the existing one

Hi guys,
I'm facing quite a challenge right now. I'm working in a client who sells car, so they have several stores that consolidate in one parent. The current application has more than 5000 accounts (BS and P&L).
They also have a bank who was left out to the initial scope of the implementation. Now, it's going to be added.
The thing is that the bank has a different chart of accounts (really different!), and I was recommended the following steps:
1. Keep the current BS and P&L but rename them as CarRet_PL and CarRet_BS
2. Add Parent accounts: "Group_PL" and "Group_BS"
3. Create an additional structure: "Bank_PL" and "Bank_BS" with the chart of accounts of the bank.
4. Make both PL and both BS consolidate to Group_PL and Group_BS.
So, in the end, we'll have 2 BS and 2 P&L... I'm not quite sure if this is the right approach. For me, it'd be best to use the existing structure, and add some accounts if necessary.

Sounds very complicated to me... I don't think you'll meet all the requirements by only creating one consolidated balance sheet & income statement by combining the two sub-BSs and sub-ISs. If the two balance sheets are a must, to me it would be good idea to sit down with the group accounting team and go through at which level they need to present/see the data and build the group hierarchy accordingly. Ie:
Group BS
     Current Assets - Group
          Current Assets - Cars
               CarAccount1
               CarAccount2
          Current Assets - Bank
               BankAccount1
               BankAccount2
     Equity - Group
          Common and preferred stock - Group
               Common and preferred stock - Cars
               Common and preferred stock - Bank
               Whatever Bank accounts come next
          Retained earnings - Group
               RE - Cars
               RE- Banks
etc.
It will surely not be easy like that either...

That is absolutely correct .Acrobat 9 pro is not compatible with Windows 7 .It might lead to certain conflicts while the downloading is in process .
