It shows that my computer is connected to the internet but when I try to load Safari it says I'm not connected

I have reset my router multiple times, and I was connected to the internet just fine before. I have a booster and it was working great until yesterday when it said I was connected to the internet but everytime I tried to load safari it said I wasn't connected. It is working while I am using the hard-line, but I am wondering how to fix the Wi-Fi. I have also reset safari, cleared the cache, and recieved every update.

I too am experiencing an EXTREMELY slow connection to the internet when my PC comes out of sleep. When I check/troubleshoot the connection, I have all green lights, indicating I should be able to get on line, but it takes about 4 or 5 minutes before I can do so. It seems that this problem started shortly after the iCloud (or i Could as another poster said) was loaded. I know its not my ISP, because my wife, who works on an IBM machine gets right on, no problemo. Is there something going on with either the recent update or the i Could (use to be able) addition? Defective software?

Where are you trying to connect from? Your profile shows IOS 6.0.1. If you are using an IOS device, you'd have a better chance of getting a good response if you posted on that forum.

The problem lies between your router and the ISP.
Pull the modem or router/modem power plug, wait about 30 seconds and plug it back in to establish a new connection to the ISP.
Try another website, another device and see if that works if not then call your ISP for assistance and/or reconfigure the router.
If your router isn't secure and you had bad leechers the ISP might have suspended the access or perhaps met the monthly data cap rate.

Have you tried clearing Safari? Clear Safari, close Safari completely and reboot your iPad. Try again.
Go to Settings>Safari>Cookies and Data.
If you are running iOS 5 or iOS 6 you close apps like this. Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button twice.
If you are running iOS 7, you close apps this way. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.

Get on a computer with iTunes. Click on your email in the iTunes Store, and hit account. Change billing info to None as card type, make sure billing address is correct, and hit done. It will then save, and allow you to make your purchases.

My 2nd gen works fine with WPA2 and AES encryption.
You may need to go back and start over. Reset the router back to factory defaults, log on as the admin, set up security, DHCP, and make sure the IP address pool has enough IP addresses to lease to ALL of the computers/devices that will connect to that the router.

It's actually what appears immediately to the right of the word "iPad" that you need to look for. If all you see is the word iPad and no other symbols, then you do not have a data connection to the internet.
If your iPad is a 3G model (withna sim card), you should have a number of connectivity symbols which could be displayed (depending on connection strength). If your iPad is a Wi-Fi only model, you would see the wi-fi symbols appearing indicating wireless connection strength.
Check you are connected to a wi-fi network correctly by launching the settings app and tapping Wi-Fi (near the top of the options which appear), then selecting the appropriate wi fi network which appears on the right.

I don't know if you are still having the issue but if you are have you contacted your ISP? It sounds to me like it's more of a connectivity issue than a browser problem. I've dealt with similar things several times and in both cases it was something with the modem or an ISP setting.
I'm also wondering if it could be a Wi-Fi issue. Can you log in to your router? (It varies by brand but you would go to a site such as http://192.168.10.1. That is for Trendnet. The information for yours should be in the documentation that came with it.)
You should be able to get the router log in page to come up even if you can't connect to any websites. (Provided the network is set up correctly.)
I also would double check your connection settings (if you're connecting over Wi-Fi) or your ethernet connection. (If you're connected directly to the modem and router.)

Tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings.
Restart your IPad. Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

I would check with the Auto dealer where the vehicle was purchased to check and see when the bluetooth software was last updated on your vehicle. With the vehicle being a 2011 and if the software has not been updated since the dropping of IOS 7 then obviously there will be software incompatibilities.

First thing you need I think is to get your iMac connected to the Internet.
Shut down your iMac and you iPad. Then power off your router. Wait 30 seconds and power up the router.
After the router indicates that it is connected to the Internet then start up your iMac and see if it connects. If the iMac connects to the Internet then your iPad should too.
If this power up sequence doesn't work you'll have to dig into the router setup to make sure it is working properly.

Hi, can someone help me. My mac shows that i'm connected to the internet server but when i open a page in the internet browser it says that it is not connected. It doesn't show a page. I used different browsers but still it won't work. IP address is fine. My internet connection is fine. But i think it has to do with the settings. I tried to use my HP laptop and it worked well. Even though the iPod shows as been connected, it might not have actually received a valid IP address via DHCP from your Wi-Fi access point or router. Head to Settings -> Wi-Fi and tap the > next to the network you are connected. If 169.xxx.xxx.xxx is listed for an IP Address, then your iPod did not receive a valid IP address. To correct this you can reboot your router by unplugging it from power for about 30 seconds.
It wouldn't hurt to also reset your iPod. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

When I connect the two together with a thunderbolt cable each recognises the other as shown in the system report, but when I try to use second screen in Aperture, the option is still grey and unavailable. In actual fact this seems a bigger problem than I thought. Linking the two computers via the Thundernolt cable and selecting cmd F2 no longer shares the screen at all and Apple say it may not be able too in Mointain Lion - What are they playing at, hundreds of customers link computers together and share the screens - Lets hope they are wrong and tell us what we need to do other than move back to Windows.

I purchased an Italian hotspot to access internet on my American Ipad2 while abroad. I had no trouble connecting to the hotspot but when I try and access the internet it "cannot connect to the server". what does that mean and how can I fix it?

I am abroad for the summer and there is no internet available. I purchased a hotspot in a nearby vodaphone and they helped me connect the Ipad to the hotspot. I assumed I would have no trouble after that. Once I got home though and connected to the hotspot i found i could not open the internet without getting a notice about not connecting to the server. I have a signal and can connect to the hotspot and yet i get no internet. I already spent 50 euro on the hotspot for 2 months of wifi...is there a way to actually fix the problem without me having to spend more money?

I'm guessing e mail does not work either. While the pad is seeing the network, it is not yet connecting, probably trying to work through your security set up. I suggest you go to settings, then network, then the details of the network. Do you see an ip address that starts with 192.168.1. Then some number? If not, the router has not made friends with the pad.
Suggest that from that same screen, you select 'forget this network'. Then start over again, paying close attention to what happens when you provide the security password.
