It takes 15 minutes to access itunes store

I've just purchased an itouch for my child and have all the current downloads I can get. I've disabled firewalls, reinstalled itunes and quicktime, but everytime I log in to the itunes store, I have to wait a long, long time. Once I'm in, I can purchase songs with no problem relatively fast. Its just getting the access to the store which is the hold up. I've contacted support and spent 3 hours changing my system to no avail. Does anyone have a similar problem or know how to fix it?

My default printer is HP photosmart 5180. It is a networkprinter
I think the problem started when I changed setting to use the ICC profile of the GX7000 Print Driver for ICC Profile
This printer is connected in a network at my job. It is connected with usb in the network.
I just was to reset the default color profile but I have no clue
In the printer dialog box I do not know if the printer or Adobe should manage the colors.
I do not need nice prints since I will not use my own laptop again for printing on the gelprinter. I just want to make a fast print as I could do normally.
Today I also discovered that Premiere Cs6 cannot open my photoshop files. It might be related.
Thanks for helping me.

With those symptoms (assuming you're getting this on iTunes for Windows), I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • Everytime I launch iTunes, a small window stating 'Accessing iTune store' that takes several clicks of stop to close it and then reappears again.

Everytime I launch iTunes, a small window stating "Accessing iTune store' appears.  It takes several clicks of "Stop" to close it but the reappears repeatedly.  I cannot do anything else if the window is open.  Please help.

this is what you need to do to exclude everything apart from desktop.
on time machine preferences, click on Options
click plus sign, on the new window, click macintosh HD
do a Control + A then deselect users then click okay
go to options again, plus sign, go to users, control +A then deselect your user account
go to options again, plus sign, go to your user account, control + A, deselect desktop
    start the back up.

  • "Accessing iTunes Store" box pops up every time I click on something new on itunes

When I open itunes it automatically tries to connect to the itunes store but the "connecting to itunes store" status bar keeps popping up even after it has connected.  I'm unable to navigate the itunes store without this status bar popping up.  I've updated to the latest version of itunes (currently version 10.3.1 for mac)  and the same problem occurs.
I haven't had any luck with the itunes store after uninstalling and reinstalling the software.  I've also tried to "deauthorize this computer" and then "authorize this computer" to try and fix the glitch- but everytime I try and sign into my account I get this message: "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store".  It then takes me to another screen to review my account.  But when I'm brought to the new screen my session times out and I can't review anything.
I'm going around and around in circles and it's becoming very frustrating.  Does anyone have any other possible solutions???
I'll give a step by step breakdown of what's happening..
    I open the itunes store.
Accessing itunes progress bar at the top of the window loads the itunes
store and after it loads there is still a top window that says
'accesing itunes store' with a 'stop' button option which stays open
for aprox. 1 minute after page is loaded.
I sign in with my account and password.
A dialouge box appears that says, "This Apple ID has not yet been used
with the itunes store.  Please review your account information.
    cancel or review option boxes.
    I click review.
Accessing itunes store progress bar appears in the upper part of the
window as well as in a seperate window box like before and this box
stays open after page has loaded like before.
The window box goes away and the window says, "Welcome to the itunes
store; To begin creating your apple id click continue".
    I click continue.
A new window appears and says, "your session has timed out. Try
again".  option to click a box marked 'done'.
...And this takes me back to square one.

Did you ever resolve the question?
I have exactly the same complaint and your question has 338 views - which leads me to believe our question is not unique.

  • Accessing iTunes Store automatically

Everytime I open up iTunes it comes up "Accessing iTunes Store" and it takes around 30 - 1 hour to go away. Even if I push cancel it stays cancelling for over 10 minutes. I don't have good internet connection right now and I don't know why it's doing this. It never done this before the update... I'm seriously considering uninstalling and installing some other media player unless it's sorted out pronto.
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me out.

This is happening to people in my shop too...
Genius and Ping are disabled, but the Accessing iTunes Store dialog is popping up almost every time a track is selected. If the Accessing iTunes Store process doesn't finish the song won't play first time.
Waiting to see if the update to the next version of iTunes (from 10.2 to 10.2.1) fixes it.
The machine this is happening on is a Mac Pro 10.5.8

  • ITunes 10.3.1 pops up with Accessing iTunes Store every second

When trying to type something into the upper right search field in iTunes 10.3.1, it pops up with the "Accessing iTunes Store" after every single letter I try to type in. It makes it so even writing a single word takes like a full minute. The previous version of iTunes had just started doing it too. I updated to 10.3.1 hoping that it would fix it, but it didn't.

    Hi all, iTunes streaming victims.
I struggled long with the streaming buffer problem of iTunes and indeed could solve it with increasing the buffer size, which features has been removed in iTunes 10. And this without updating the instructions by Apple!
In the end also the reinstall didn't work.
    Here is my latest solutions:

  • "Accessing iTunes Store" supremely slowly

Yes, everything is very slow out here on Planet Dial-up, but "Accessing iTunes Store" is so much slower than anything else I do online (always takes *at least* 15 minutes) that it has me wondering whether there's a preference or a something I can do to speed it up to the general slowness of all the other stuff I do via dial-up.
I kind of understand that listening to clips and purchasing songs take so long on dial-up, but just accessing the store? Is it because the storefront is so graphics-heavy?
Closing other applications doesn't help, that's about all I could think of to try. Oh also tried accessing the store at different times of day and night --no dice. The problem has stayed the same through all the versions of iTunes.
    Thanks for any suggestions.
    G5 Quad 2.5GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   dial-up internet connection; iTunes 7.0.2

I think the store is optimized for high speed access and I think there might even be a minimum requirement somewhere stating that high speed access is needed. After all, this is a place where all the downloads are a minimum of several megabytes.
I feel your pain though. I can recall those old days of dial up and trying to download MP3 files.

  • ITunes stuck on "Accessing iTunes Store"

I posted in reply to a thread of complaints about this on the "iTunes for Mac" side but realized my error only afterwards and so am posting this here instead/as well; apologies for repetition, I have no idea what forum etiquette here is.
I'm running Windows 7, downloaded the latest version of iTunes available on the website. Whenever I try to open iTunes I get a dialogue box that says "Accessing iTunes Store" and a loading bar that just goes on and on indefinitely (I let it go on for an hour as an experiment). I can click nowhere else on the iTunes program except the "Stop" button on the dialogue box but then it just says "Canceling..." and goes on doing that indefinitely until I force-quit. I cannot access any part of the iTunes menu while it is unsuccessfully attempting to access the iTunes Store. I've tried to open the program with "Run as Administrator" with the exact same result of teeth-gnashing failure. The program is therefore completely non-functional and while I can still charge my old iPod, I cannot use iTunes to access any of the content ... which is unfortunate because the iPod itself is bugging out in an unrelated series of problems and probably needs a software update or a lobotomy or something. I've attempted to uninstall and reinstall iTunes a couple of times now with the latest version, with no success there either. I'm not new to this program - I've had my old iPod Nano for years and have used iTunes steadily, if begrudgingly, since about 2007 without serious problems, have used the Store, etc.. This new "Accessing iTunes Store" is a recent development and it is crippling my ability to use the program or the hardware. Oh, and yes, it's the same result with the iPod is physically plugged in to the computer or not.
So how can I go about fixing this? Any help could be appreciated before my faithful-if-slightly-dumbfounded iPod takes a one-way trip to the electronics recycling facility and another company gets to have my money.

after trying everything I could find for 2 days, including turning on and off my firewall, my anti-virus program, resetting the winsock, authorize, deauthorize, and on and on I FINALLY saw one post by a guy that uninstalled Real Player and it fixed his problem.   That was a new suggestion, so I tried it and guess what?   IT WORKED.  Thank GOD!!!   This is a brand new computer so I was really frustrated.    I am running Windows 7 64 bit.   Hope the Real Player suggestion helps some other people.

  • Can no longer access Itunes store

Sudeenly yesterday I cant access the Itunes store.
When I click on the store, I just see the scrolling barbers pole at the top of the screen and the message ""Accessing Itunes store."" It never gets any further
Ive disabled all my security, ive done the winsock reset and restarted my PC ((many times) I downloaded the LSP list from windows, and the list is huge, with many suppliers listed. It would take days to try and update all of that.
SURELY there is an easier solution to this problem. Clearly Im not the only one having it.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

  • "Accessing iTunes Store..." Won't go any further.

I downloaded iTunes yesterday and I can open up iTunes to play music and videos whatnot, but every single time I click on the iTunes Store under the "Store" category, it just says "Accessing iTunes Store..." I've tried searching for several hours, but either no one seems to have had the same problem or I can't find it.

Sorry, I can't edit my first post but after about 5-10 minutes it opens and it's extremely slow, I don't know how to speed it up.

  • Itunes keeps accessing Itunes Store

Basically, every time i go on itunes, my song or the store, i get this window popping up and telling me: Accessing Itunes Store. Sometimes it pops-up every time i click in or on the window, sometimes it's every time y try to type more than one character in the search bar and sometimes it just appears ones or twice in the beginning and then comes up every 2 or 3 minutes. Anyway, it's annoying and it doesn't disappear even if I let it load. Other than that Itunes seems to be working well and the application store runs fine too.

I tried Sandaddict26's ingenious solution and I was able to successfully get one Itunes free song. Then I was right back to where I started: blank screen after a few seconds.
Apple probably won't give a response about this issue. I'm surprised that nobody else has uncovered this other issue: computer sometimes being flooded with connections from mzstatic.com. When I first started having this trouble with Itunes store screens going blank, I noticed strange new connections in addition to the ones from itunes, apple, and phobos. Mzstatic sometimes floods my computer with literally dozens of connections--the most simultaneous connections I've counted is 37!
The IP address range for mzstatic is 209.18.32.0 to 209.18.47.255 and this domain is registered to Apple. The company behind these new connections is, I think, MarkMonitor {www.markmonitor.com), a company involved with computer security and data protection. It's possible that Apple has enlisted Markmonitor to help protect against theft of iTunes products but could these extra connections be disrupting our iTunes store connections?
Hopefully more computer-savvy people will investigate these somewhat suspicious looking new internet connections through Itunes.
Guess I'll try the computer reauthorization approach next....

  • TS3297 when accessing, iTunes store, iTunes stops working?

When accessing iTunes store, Itunes stops working.
    Problem  event name : APPCRASH
    Application name ; iTunes.exe
    Application version : 10.6.3.25
    Failed Module : atiumdag.dll

Ever since I got a new laptop with Win8 (5 months ago) I have been unable to access the iTunes Store.  I've searched for answers and nothing has worked.  Gave up for several months since Apple told me I'd have to pay their support team to fix the issue.  Today I found this thread, applied the fix found by "DonInDassel" and so far I'm accessing the store with no issue.  I copied & pasted the file into the new location so it stayed in both locations, just in case.  iTunes store is still running after 30 minutes and I've been randomly clicking all over the place just to test it!!!!  Why can't Apple figure this stuff out?  LOL!  I hope y'all have the same success!

  • Accessing itunes store message?!!

every time i go on my itunes the accessing itunes store message box pops up but it pops up constantly and its driving me insane it is making it impossible to search anything cause it just keeps popping up what do i do?

Your problem seems same as mine...I'm still hanging with that problem. And I can't find way to fix that. That pop-up is appear quite rapidly and really annoying me. When I click tune name, try to get tunes informations, try to rename tune, and try to select tune on MUSIC LIBRARY, that pop-up appear about per 1 second and it takes about 10 seconds to finishing access to iTunes store, during that time period, status bar is working. But wait their up and then somehow they are going to available to click, get informations, rename, select about 1 time per 3 times. But copying tune' name is almost impossible during worst situation. But edit information during that time there is nothing to keep me away. This issue may occur once a half hour. Once this is occur, this is going to take about 10 to 20 minuets. Depends on what I try to do, gross time in this issue change flexible really. I also look forward someone who able to fix this problem. Is there nobody get in same problem with iTunes 10.2.1(1) and Mac OS X 10.6.6 like us? And is there nobody able to fix this problem?

  • Itunes always accessing itunes store

Since updating last week, each time i do anything in itunes like selecting a song to play it starts playing the song but pops up with 'accessing itunes store' and you can't do anything else except cancel it but it takes awhile, its really frustrating because you can't do anything while its trying to access the store, any one have any suggestions i would be very very grateful

nevermind, got it - the apple menu bar, not the itunes menu bar. Wow, this thing has been making me insane for weeks. what a fluke that someone found a fix for this!!!
Love the forum - not a big fan of apple support. It's pretty sad that their users know more about their machines thean they do.
Incidentally, when I purchased my upgrade, the "expert" tried to tell me that I could go straight from tiger to the snow leopard upgrade. When I insisted that I was pretty sure I needed box set, he went  to get his manager, who corrected him. Good grief.
