It takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!!!!!

I recently had my iphone 3G put through a 15 minute wash with a double rinse. Full load... It was in some clothes... and didn't get put away. My fault... I should have emptied the pockets, but just forgot.
Quite upset, I set it on the the forced air heating duct in my bedroom for 3 days (it's quite dry forced air) seeing if I could get it to dry out completely before I attempted a start up.
Guess what? I started right up after telling it to reset several times! It tried to launch 3 times, then the screen would go back, but upon the forth attempt, connected to it's charger. It woke up!
Thought I'd pass this along.

So with the OJ 6500 are you getting a message to replace the Printhead? Any joy if you remove the printhead and clean it (as described HERE )
Failing that, another option might be to purchase a new Printhead at the HP Part Store. The no. is CN643A. More details in the link below....

You've mentioned that the inks leaked - did they leak inside the printer or right after opening the cartridge?

So here's the scenario....We're moving the kid to the college town in a U-Haul truck. Judy has the iPhone on her lap, and when she gets out at our hotel it falls on the ground. But neither of us knows it at the time, so we go on about our business which is getting some dinner. At the restaurant Judy notices the phone missing. No problem, I say, we'll find it with Find My iPhone on MobileMe. Ooops -- my MacBook is at home, her MacBook battery has run down and the charging cord is back in the hotel room, and the iPad won't do the Find My iPhone thing (why is THAT??). OK, we go back to the hotel and we're going to look around where we parked the truck the first time we were there (thinking --Correctly! -- it might have fallen out when she got out). Turns out there is an SUV and trailer parked there now. It's dark. I get my flashlight out and I'm starting to look for the phone on the ground when we hear Judy's phone ring. There it is! It's on the ground, and the trailer tire is covering about a third of the phone. She tries to pick it up, but the trailer weight is on it. Let me try, I say, I'm stronger. I can wiggle it, but can't get it out. We had to jack up the trailer, un-hitch from the SUV, roll the trailer back a few inches to free the phone.
The screen was a mess! Judy peeled the protective film off, and voila! -- screen looks good. She tries to make a call, but "No SIM card installed" message comes up on screen. We pop the SIM card out, put it back in, power the phone off then back on........and I'll be damned, the phone looks good and works fine! Thanks to Apple for a rugged phone, thanks to NoName Cheapie case, thanks to the screen protector, thanks to Jack who just happened to call when we were looking for the phone.
Many years ago, Timex ran ads that demonstrated that "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking." That's what this experience reminded me of.

if that doesnt help look at replacing the batteries in your magic mouse and try it then
if the issue still presists take it into a apple store and they can test it there to see whats up

Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time.

The only way you can do that is to import them into your library first, but you may have done that already.
The easiest way to tell is to select a photo from the photostream album in iPhoto and ctrl-click on it, if it gives you the option to import it isn't in your iPhoto library, if it offers you the option to show in library it has already been imorted.

You cannot. If it is in recovery mode, the data is already gone.
Did you fail to make sure everything was on your computer before updating?

What computer operating system is involved in the Premiere Elements 11 and 13 issues? Same computer or different ones? Are you installing from purchased download installation files or from purchased installation disc? Does Premiere Elements 11 work completely on this computer whereas 13 will not?
Let us go through the typical drill so as to take nothing for granted.
1. Does the problem exist with or without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? Are you working with an individual home computer or in a
school or company network?
2. Are you running the program as Administrator and is there any "domain" account involved?
3. Is your video card/graphics card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
4. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on the computer with Premiere Elements?
Let us start by ruling in or out any of the above, and then we can decide what next.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.

Fire a sub vi and keep running from the main

I would like to run a sub vi (Finite Pulse Train.vi) and keep going in my main application. Finite Pulse Train has a while loop so it takes over and my main vi waits. Can I fire off Finite Pulse Train.vi and then come directly back to my main vi (let it do its thing)?

Also remember that LabVIEW has parallelism inherently built into to its compile process. This means that if you drop your subVI onto the block diagram and then don't connect it in any way with the rest of your program, it will automatically run in parallel and just "do its thing."
The key then is just to establish communication between parallel processes. The easiest, but least robust, method of doing this is to use local or global variables. You could, for instance, have a global variable for your stop button in your main loop that stops the subVI's loop.
The better solution (if you don't have the base package of LabVIEW) is to use Queues and Notifiers to handle synchronous data transfer between parallel loops. Queues essentially act like a software buffer that you can write data to and read data from. Queues are best for communication with one or more producer loops and only one consumer loop, since as soon as you "read" data from the queue, it is removed. Notifiers only hold one data item, so there's no buffering, but it can be read by multiple consumer loops without removing the data item. Notifiers are best for communication between loops with just one producer and multiple consumers.

1. If you are this unhappy with that phone, and the lost earbuds is the only thing stopping you from taking it back, why do not just buy some earbuds. That way you can get rid of that phone. It all depend upon how much you want to get rid of that phone.
2. Yet if you are stuck with that iPhone, here is something might help you to control the data usage. By design, iPhones do turn off WiFi when they go dormant. So if a download is in progress and so forth when the phone goes dormant, it will switch to use cellular data, if this setting is left on. Therefore, from multi-sources I have learned that if you keep your iPhone connected to a power source, then it will stay connected to the available WiFi.

You can't merge Apple IDs. What you could do is set up your phone to use the same iCloud accout you are using on your Mac. To do this, go to Settings>iCloud and turn all synced data (Contacts, Calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted, choose to keep the data on the phone. When everything is off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Now add the iCloud account you set up on your Mac (with the same Apple ID) and turn syncing back on for Calendars, Contacts, etc. When prompted, you will probably want to choose merge, to merge the data on your phone with the existing data on this iCloud account.
