Alright i got a new iphone sent to me from apple because my other one was messing up. So i opened it up and it was telling me to hook it up to itunes to get it working. But on itunes it is saying I don't have a sim card in it, when there is one in there. So what should i do because I dont want to call apple yet.

Could be the SIM isn't fitting properly in its little slot. Try kicking it out, resetting it and putting it back in. You may have to try it a few times. I had to do that before. Or it could be a bad SIM. I had that happen too (well, my son did) You can get a new SIM from your carrier, too. You don't have to go all the way back to Apple.

Elan Sayso/Tempo Multimedia TTS? - Ipod wont work with itunes

What does this mean?
I can put my itunes on fine and I can plug in my ipod nano 16gb...but seperately only. If I have itunes on and plug in my ipod then 'Elan Sayso/Tempo Multimedia TTS Server has stopped working' and I have to shut down itunes as it has froze.
Ive tried what apple have suggested so itunes has been uninstalled etc and my 3rd generation ipod nano works fine but it just wont work for my 5th generation.
Please help - also I am not that clever with computers so you may have to dumb it down! Many thanks

iCloud backups do not have seperate passwords, it is merely the password to the Apple ID.
If attempting to restore via iTunes on a computer and the system prompts for a passwod to restore, there are two possible options:
1) The user enabled backup encryption. If so, enter the password. There is no way to reset or remove this password.
2) The backup is corrupt. If the user never selected backup encryption and the backup is asking for a password, the backup is corrupt. Delete the backup and restore as new.
Relying on PhotoStream for storing all your pictures taken with the device is extremely unintelligent. Old pictures roll off of PhotoStream after 30 days or 1000 pictures, whichever occurs first.

Ipod classic wont work with Itunes

This is my first ipod purchase and I am not pleased, its 2 days old and still isn't working. I did exactly how the instructions set out how to set it up. I plugged the ipod in, it charged for a few minutes, and a menu popped up on the screen for my language, I selected it and then it went to the connected screen, and continued to charge, I loaded itunes, nothing appeared, so I decided to let it charge to full, after it had been fully charged, still nothing, I have done everything apple have suggested, reset ipod, unistalled itunes, reinstalled, turned off the ipod service and turned it back on again, used a different USB port, itunes just will not find my ipod, therefore I cannot set it up to add files to it. I am extremely disheartened by how incredibley difficult this has been as this is my first apple product

When connecting to your Mac, make sure it is a high power USB2.0 port on the CPU body, do not use the USN port on the keyboard or any USB Hub.
If you are connecting to a MacBook Pro, only one USB port can provide enough resource for the high Drain device like the iPod. The other USB port is shared internally with other IO devices.
Given the huge amount of iPod Classic sync issues, I would recommend, that you dont use any USB port with other devices, when you are syncing or Restoring any iPod Classic.
So with the above info
Reset you iPod while connected to the High power USB port.
When iTunes comes up and prompt you to Restore, please do so (this will fix any hardisk filesystem corruption)

TS2972 HOME SHARING WONT WORK WITH ITUNES 12

My OS is Windows 7
My iOS device: iPad 7.1.1
My iTunes Version: 12
AND I've tried by all means to use home sharing with the Remote app, but it doesn't work at all.
So please HELP ME

I have had this same problem since I upgraded to version 11 of iTunes. I just found today that if you go into Preferences (under the Edit menu in Windows or under File on Mac OS) there is a Sharing tab that was turned off. As soon as I checked the box in front of "Share my library on my local network" and the checkbox in front of "Home Sharing computers and devices update play counts" (I don't know if this second checkbox has to be checked or not) and restarted iTunes on each computer it began to work again.
I have no idea why Apple decided to have this turned off by default in version 11+ as I had it working fine prior to upgrading. I also have no idea why Apple makes no mention of the need to go into the Preferences and make sure Sharing is enabled. I have found no mention of it in any home sharing documentation...

Burner wont work with itunes

I just bought a new cd burner today, it burned 1 cd fine but now when i click "burn" itunes freezes. Itunes also freezes when i try to get to the burning settings to fool with the speed.
Any suggestions?

Try an iTunes "repair" operation. Exit iTunes / go to Windows Control Panels / Add or Remove Programs / iTunes / "Change/Remove" button / Repair button.

5.1 Speakers wont work with Itunes 7

I just recenetly installed Itunes 7 and realized that that music was only coming out of 2 of my 5 speakers, this lead to a distorted sound.....i thouhgt the problem was my speeker settings, so i went into my sound console and it said that all 5 speakers are working correcty....then i went into a different program and played and audio file, and all my speakers were working just fine.....Is there a setting in Itunes where i can tell it to play out of a 5.1 system, instead of a 2.1 system???

Ipod is recognised under my computer but wont work in itunes,

My ipod worked fine on my old computer i dont think i had the most recent itunes but everything was working fine i had windows XP. Now i have a new laptop with windows 7 and my ipod wont work in itunes, i have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 9 and even tried itunes 8 but nothing seemed to help the situation, i know its not the cable as it shows under my computer, i have taken all my music off the ipod because it asked to reformat it i have tried that twice, i get the message your ipod needs to be reformatted for windows i click ok and it opens itunes but nothing happens, iv downloaded the 64 bit itunes as it doesnt like the 32 bit one. Iv ran a diagnostic test on my ipod but cant get past the firewire detect and usb detect maybe this is because i dont have itunes installed at the moment, any suggestions please?

I had the same problem with my iPod classic. I got a new laptop that has windows 7 and downloaded itunes 9. As soon as itunes 9 was downloaded my ipod would not be recognised anymore. I tried everything like reformatting etc and nothing was helping. What I did was downloaded itunes 7 and my ipod was then recognised. Your problem may be that your software on your ipod is not up to date enough to run on itunes 9 (that was the problem with mine) and may also not be up to date enough to run on itunes 8. Try itunes 7 (or if that doesn't work even itunes 6) then once your ipod is recognised go to the summary page on your ipod and update your software to the current version. Once i did this my ipod was recognised on itunes 9 when i plugged it in and worked perfectly. Hope this helps!

What fixed it for me:
On your computer, open iTunes > My iPhone (or whatever name you gave your iPhone) > "Music" page
Uncheck "Sync Music"
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
Uncheck the box for every song, playlist, etc.
Click "Sync" button (bottom right) (This step may be unnecessary, but I did it and got the result I wanted.)
Let it run and finish
Check the boxes for the music you want on your iPhone
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
See if that doesn't work for you. I tried a lot of things that did nothing, but this seems to have fixed it, and quickly.

Built in mic wont work with desktop version of skype

So i had skype already on the computer when i got it sense it had windows 8 well it just started to show that the skype i was using was going out of date so i decided to follow the link to download the desktop version now it wont work with my mic not sure if it a issue with microsoft end or skypes end. anyone got any ideas how to fix this problem?
