Italics is not working in part of my Pages document.

Italics is not working in one part of my Pages document.
It's working fine in other parts of the document, where font etc. is the exact same.
I've tried to copy the entire text to a new document, without the track changes turned on, but the area remains locked for the italics option.
Can anyone help me please?

Menu > View > Show Styles Drawer
Pages samples existing styled text to create the styles and you apply them by selecting text and clicking on the style in the Style Drawer. It will not override prexisting exceptions to the style in selected text but you can force the Style definition onto the text by double clicking on the style name.

Hi everyone,
I've been looking around everywhere but haven't seen it explicitly mentioned.
Does anyone know how to add the Note Board web part to a Team Site page, e.g. Non-publishing site, Left Zone, First webpart in the zone in powershell?
Examples like this one http://adicodes.com/adding-web-part-to-page-with-powershell/ only talk about custom web parts uploaded from a local drive.
The example here looks good - http://spcrew.com/blogs/lists/posts/post.aspx?id=21 but is it for the Page Viewer Web Part. How would you go about getting the correct name for the note board web part and configuring it?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add the Note board web part to a page with PowerShell.
The name of the Note Board web part is SocialCommentWebPart.
I recommend to use the powershell code below:

Spry tool tip does not work in template or child pages within an editable region. Why not?

Ok. so I am getting pretty frustrated. I take the time to learn how to use CSS and to create a template page for a Contractor Site (www.ContractorInsurance.net). The idea is to create a page that I can use for different classes of Contractors...right?
Then I get all happy about being able to insert ToolTip onto pages to help the user. Great!

So what good does it do to have an Editable region to update if we cannot have the flexibility to insert a tool tip on child pages? Ok so the fast solution is to what... Have a question mark image, insert another apDiv, name it toolTip_Not and provide it with a show=hide behavior?

you will notice that a couple of lines have been placed in the HEAD section of the document. When using DW templates, the HEAD section is usually not editable, hence the error mesaage. By default, your template should have an editable region in it just before the closing tag. It looks like this:  Dreamweaver should be able to find that editable region and insert the
<script> tag there automatically. Because you don't have an editable region like that in the <head>, open the master template, and paste the code above just before the closing </head>

ISight's not working on flash based web page...

I work as a lecturer for University of Zirve from Gaziantep in Turkey. We have a learning management system with a virtual class. Our class is based flash. . The iSight camera is not working on our virtual class page. In older version MAC OSX 10.6.4, it was work successfully, but in newer version (we tried v10.6.8 and v10.7.2, -in these versions i can use skype video call-) it isn't working. What can be the problem?

Condition not working if Part Number is not included in result

A user wants to display a summary of values for different key figures on all Parts belonging to certain vehicle categories. One of the key figures (KF1) must only display values > (greater than) u20180u2019. He does not want the Part number to display in the report, but KF1 must be based on the individual values of the parts, example if Part V001 has amounts u201C-R200.00u201D, u201CR10.00u201D and R20.00u201D, the summary total to be displayed in the result must = u201CR30.00u201D. (u201C-R200.00u201D must not be included)
I have created a condition on this key figure (KF1) where I indicated the value > 0. When I run the query, the condition does not work on the summary of data, it still includes the values < (smaller than) u20180u2019.
Is there a way I can display the correct values?

I am not sure if I understood your problem correctly. But to me seems like your problem can be solved at aggregates. I didnt understand your problem correctly, but let me put some pieces together and see of that helps you.
Lets say you have 3 different KFs.
KF1__KF2__KF3
-200__10___20
100___20___20
Now if you create a fourth KF (CKF), you dont want to consider the negative values of KF1. Meanging CKF should display 30 and NOT -190.
If that is the case for KF1, only, you can create one CKF1 which will calculate either 0 (if KF1 value is less than 0) or the KF1 value (if KF1 value is > 0). After this, your scenario will be,
CKF1 = (KF1 > 0)*KF1+0
KF1__CKF1_KF2__KF3
-200____0____10___20
100__100_____20___20
After that create second CKF2 to sum CKF1 + KF2 + KF1
KF1__CKF1__KF2__KF3__CKF2
-200_____0___10___20____30
100____100___20___20____140
Now if your problem is that if part is not part of query result, you sitll want to perform this calculation at part level. In that case, you can create an exception aggregation for CKF2 as part level. So, even if part no is not in query, the calculation will be performed at part no level.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 Dynamic Link not working as part of Production Premium CS5

I ran into a situation whereby I recently reinstalled my Production Premium CS 5 onto a new computer and when trying to run the Dynamic Link out of Premiere PRO CS 5 to create a new After Effects composition, After Effects tried to start up but then crashed with the error that Production Premium was needed.
Yet, I had Production Premium CS5.
(Note: The crash didn't occur when I simply tried to use Dynamic Link without anything selected in my project or timeline - but the moment I had a clip in my timeline selected to work on it, the dynamic link would not work as covered above.)
In checking around the forums I found various answers to this problem such as rebooting the computer, reformatting hard drives and/or whatever. This all may be correct.
However, as I just went through that nightmare, I was not anxious to do that again. So, I called Adobe and the following solution solved the matter in 5 minutes:
1. Close all your other Adobe applications such as After Effects.
2. Open up Premiere Pro CS5 and then deactivate it by going to HELP>DEACTIVATE and then Permanently Deactivate.
3.Close the application and restart Premiere Pro CS5.
4.Then do the same to Activate it.
5. Have your serial number handy and plug it in when prompted.
Solved it right away and worked beautifully.
Not to say there couldn't be more complicated situations, but the above worked and the simpler the better is good for me. And I thought I would post this in case anyone else ran into this problem.

Binding not working when returning to same page

Hi, Im developing a portlet that access some data from MYSQL.
I have a simple page with several textfields, all with bindings to a javabean object that is a property of SessionBean1 bean, so it is a Session Scope bean.
In that page I put some buttons like next, prior, etc. to navigate between all registers of my DB. I added some code to event button like this:

As Im a newbie in Java yet I really don't undestand this, I have readed all JSF life cycle documention and portlet life cycle docs but couldn't find an answer. Why binding is not working?

Thanks for this. Unfortunately now I have tried with Standard actions the links do not work at all. The links provided were created with spaces so contained within the links are lots of '%20'. e.g. :

for some reason when creating the links with standard actions, when the project is published the links have changed to contain 25s e.g.

Script that worked in CS does not work in CS4 - multiple open page, print , pdf export and close

I had a script that worked great for me in Indesign CS. But now does not work in CS4. Anyone knows what needs to be done to make it work again ?
When I drop folder with indesign files on top of this script:

First thing I noticed is the interaction level is set off. If you comment out this line
set user interaction level to never interact
you might be able to pinpoint the exact error -- ID will display a standard "failed" dialog, hopefully showing the line that it fails on.
A quick question: the script assumes two presets in your InDesign: one for print ("letter size") and one for PDFs ("pdf preset name"):

Do these actually exist in your CS4, with the same (non)capitalization and spaces?

Not Working: Enable Reader to Save the Document

I have Acrobat Pro 8.0 and Acrobat Reader 8.0 installed, so I should not be having this issue. After I've enabled reader to save the document within Reader, and I test it within Reader 8.0, I get this message:
Outgoing Message Notification
An email message with "documentname.pdf" attached has been given to your default email application. If your email application is configured to send email automatically on a schedule, the email will b sent automatically.
If not, you will need to send the message manually.
But my default email application (Outlook) doesn't open an email up. I've checked the "internet properties" for my browser, and Outlook is set as the default email application, so I'm not sure why it's not working. PLEASE HELP!!!

As Graffiti said, I am just trying to help you from going down a frustrating path. You can enable Reader Right's in Acrobat (if you designed the form in LiveCycle Designer, you may have to follow a slightly different path) to allow the full form to be saved. However, you can have the form data (XML or FDF) submitted and that does not require the save step. The issue with the save is that you are limited to 500 uses by the EULA (looks like your form was a general use form and you would likely exceed the limit).
The submitted data can be imported to the form and so you can easily have the same results as getting the full form with data.
The problem with e-mail submission is that it is dependent on the client machine, something you have no control over unless you are in a controlled environment and the machines can be controlled as a result. MAPI is the Windows interface that allows other programs to access e-mail. There are at least 2 versions of it and many folks do not activate it. Thus, those without MAPI activated would flood you with the complaints about it not working. You are welcome to try to set up instructions to tell folks how to activate it, but they would likely have something else to say to you or simply get lost -- a good way to lose business. If you do not need the data formatted, you can have it submitted to cgi-mail or formmail that may be on your server. In that case you will have to have the data formatted in an HTML form (one of the options in Acrobat forms, not sure about Designer). Then the data would be submitted just like on a web form to the mail script. These scripts require hidden fields to know where to send the mail and such.
What I meant to say is that it is unfortunate that the manual suggests e-mail when it is not a good method to use for form submission. We address this issue 3 or 4 times a week with folks. There are several forum topics that relate to your question, all saying pretty much the same. Sorry if you do not like the answer, but that is the way it is. Use e-mail submission if you wish, but be prepared for complaints. At least you know why you will be getting them. Apparently some MAC users have some similar problems with e-mail submission. I have no idea about UNIX users in general. It even sounds like you don't have things set up correctly on your e-mail and you are expecting it to work for other folks? That's the problem!

FLV. not working in SWF within HTML page

I have created a SWF presentation which contains several videos as FLVs. The videos are uploaded to a folder on the clients server.
The exported SWF and HTML files of the presentations worked perfectly when hosted on my local machine but when sent to the client, who uploaded to their own server, the SWFs ran but would not play the FLV files within. When they changed the HTML files to HTM they worked perfectly.
However...when they embedded the pages into the content management system the use it required that the pages were reverted back to HTML, therefore the FLVs are not working again.
The 'still' frame appears where the FLV should be, but the skin and the video itself does not load.
Does anyone have any idea why this issue has occurred?

Not sure about the folder structure of their site, to be honest they've been a nightmare client from day one so getting information like that out of them has been nigh on impossible.
The flv files are all in a folder together and these are linked from the swf with this link structure: http://www.sitename.org.uk/folder/video.flv
I'm not entirely sure how their CMS is structured. I was throwing this question out on the off chance that someone had seen a similar instance where HTML/HTM file types had affected functionality.

When I start it up it shows two two nested windows on the screen, has a Firefox yellow tab in the corner, does not display the toolbar bookmarks, the back and forth buttons do not work and there is no page refresh. No clue what is going on.

Every time I open up Firefox it appears to open two nested and linked windows, each with their own minimize, maximize and close buttons but the both work the same. The homepage does not come up, the back and forth buttons do not work. Both the refresh button and F5 do not work. The Bookmark Toolbar does not show up until I disable it in View and then re-enable it and this causes the outer nested window to disappear or close.

This issue can be caused by an extension or theme that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Output Tray 2 does not work when we print a smartforms document immediately

Dear printer specialists,
we've the following issue:
We are printing the same smartforms document in different plants. One plant decided to get the print output into output tray 2 of the printer (lower tray), so we've copied the standard device type into a z-device type and made the SPAD set-up with a preselection for the tray 2 (lower tray). The new device type has been assigned to the output device. Now we made a test and released the print-output for an immediate printing. The output was printed as before in tray 1 (upper tray). When we restart the output from the spool (SP01), the output will be printed in tray 2. Why does this not work, when we print immediately ? Does anyone know how to solve this problem ? (We don't want to change the smartforms document.)
