Italy long tax code descriptions

Some tax code descriptions for italy are quite long and the user is saying that the description needs to match the exact description characters, it cannot be cutted off due to legal reasons.
For example, the full description of the tax code above should be:
IT - 20% Acquisti con Reverse Charge- Art.17(3), DPR 633/1972- Iva indetraibile
However the field size is 50 characters lenght.
Any light on this is appreciated.

in IMG > SAP NetWeaver > General settings > define countries  >  country specific checkings  you define per country what checks are carried out. For some fields SAP has supplied harcoded rules.
You should not test with ANY number, use a correct number given from vendor or customer.
If it is not possible to enter this number, investigate the root cause,by looking at the message detail. Then you should search OSS if there was a legal change  and a recommendation what to do.

  • Translate TAX code description

    Hi everybody,
We have created a new tax indicator for germany (Transaction FTXP).
Once it's created, If we log on to the system in a different language than deutsch the description of the tax code doesn't appear.
Is there any standard transaction to translate these descriptions to another languages?
In transaction SE63 we can traduce table entries but I'm looking for another solution without using this transaction.
    Thanks in advance.
    Answers will be awarded.

    Hi,
the description are in following table :
    T-code : FTXP     Table : T007S
If not installed Required language, it shows only EN, TAXXX So, it seems you first check if XX language installed correctly.
It is not possible in the standard to translate the tax names in additional languages without that it is neccessary to logon in different  target languages and to enter the tax names several times in transaction "FTXP"
You must logon in the language in order to manintain or see the corresponding texts.
Please assign points if it useful.

  • Tax Code and Description

    Hello All,
We are making a customized report based on vendor invoices.
    1) Need to know tables or logic where we can find/pull out tax codes and its description.
    2) When invoice is posted value goes to GR IR account, from which table i can get the GR IR value.
    Regards
    Himanshu Nijhawan

    Hi Himanshu,
    1) Need to know tables or logic where we can find/pull out tax codes and its description.
You can find the Tax code in RSEG Table for the Vendor Invoice. Specify the Document No & Year, you will get the tax code in the field RSEG - MWSKZ
Tax code Description can be obtained in the Table T007S. Specify Tax Code and Language as well to get the description
    2) When invoice is posted value goes to GR IR account, from which table i can get the GR IR value.
For this, first you should get the Account document corresponding to the Invoice. So, Query table BKPF with the following fields to get the accounting document
    Company Code
    Year
Object Key (AWKEY) = Your Invoice No + Year (Concatenated Value for eg., 51000000002012
you will get the Accounting Document No in the field BKPF-BELNR
WIth the Accoutning Document & Year, query the table BSEG to get the GR/IR accounting posting. Generally the GR/IR is posted with Posting Key 86 (BSEG-BSCHL)

  • Withholding Tax Code Deactivate

    Hi All,
I want to de-activated withholding tax code in sap.what is the process to de-activate the wht code.
    thanks,
    Gaurav

    Hi Gaurav,
If you want to deactivate it at the company code, then it is a tick in SPRO.
But I guess you mean to say that you want to deactivate some of the Tax codes no longer used in the system..
For that, there is no direct solution in SAP, you can remove the GL Account assignment to that tax code to ensure that at least no posting is made in that Tax Code, Secondly, you can change the description of the tax code as "DO NOT USE", so that anybody assigning these Tax code in the Vendor Master would realize that these are no to be used..
But yes, you can limit the use of Tax Type in the Node, Assign Witholding tax Types to Company code, where you can enter the To date as the end date of use of that Tax Type.

  • Creating Tax Codes FTXP

    Transaction:  FTXP
This area gives you a step by step explanation on u201Chow to create a tax code in SAPu201D. Later on these tax codes must be used in the creation of condition tables such as for MWST.
Go to transaction code FTXP and select the country for which you need to create a tax code.  This country is automatically linked to the Tax Procedure which has been set up in the menu path [IMG - Financial accounting - Financial accounting global settings - tax on sales/purchases - basic settings - Assign country to calculation procedure].
Enter in the field tax code. This must be a 2-digit alphanumeric code i.e. A5, 55, BB, etc..  Before SAP 4.5 (I believe) you could use other special characters such as @, ? etcu2026 But this is no longer applicable. See OSS note 212806.SAP will ask you to complete other additional fields such as:
description of the tax code: please give a clear description
define the tax type: define whether the tax code is relevant for input or output tax
Indicator which determines that an error message should be issued if the tax amount is not correct. It it recommended to flag this.
Eu code: One of the most forgotten parameter. If you do not set this parameter at u201C1u2033 then all transactions with this code will be not picked up in the ESL listing of that specific country. This code u201C1u2033 represents all the Sales from one EU country to another EU country.
The target tax code fields are used in case of deferred taxes. This is applicable for example in France. The VAT needs to be paid for example not when the invoice is issued but when the customer pays the VAT. There are here again special programs available in SAP for deferred taxes.
Reporting country: this field needs to be completed when you are using the plants abroad functionality. This means that when you as a German company have a Belgian VAT number and you have sales in Belgium (+ you need to submit a VAT return in Belgium) , then of course these invoices need to be booked in SAP with a Belgian tax code.
Further in the menu you can also allocate the amount where this specific tax code is used to a certain tax account. The tax type fields such as Base Amount, Input tax, Output Tax u2026 can be determined via the calculation procedures.  Calculation procedures are defined in the IMG at [Financial accounting - Financial accounting global settings - tax on sales/purchases - basic settings - Assign country to calculation procedure].  Here you will need to define also the calculation levels. For example the Output tax is level 125 and the output tax will be calculated on the basis of the base amount. Therefore you put for the output tax in the field u201Cfrom levelu201D 100. The level of Base amount is 100. You do the same for the others.
    Account Keys.
NVV: The non deductible VAT is automatically added to the expenses account
NAV: Indicate for this key a separate account for the non deductible VAT
ESA: Output tax in case of Acquisition of EU goods
ESE: Input tax in case Acquisition of EU goodsLast but not least you also need to complete the tax rate field.
Tax Percentage & GL Account assignment
Tax percentage can be maintained in two ways & that depends upon the Tax procedure that has been followed i.e. if tax procedure is formula based then percentage can be maintained in FTXP only, where as if the procedure is condition based then percentage has to be maintained under the identified condition type.
Once done GL accounts has to be assigned under OB40 for automatic posting of tax amounts.

    Hi Manoj,
What do you mean by advisable solution? Do you know where in SAP documentation (SAP help or elswhere) it is mentioned that a new tax code should be created in that case?
That's why I opened this question. If there is no harm then it is easier to change the gl accounts (client requested to change the gl accounts for 127 tax codes). However if there might be a negative effect and it is mentioned somewhere by SAP or anyone of you had a bad experience then of course I would prefer creating the new tax codes.
    Your answers are welcomed!

  • How to find open SO Items with tax code for a particular day?

    Dear all
If i want to see all open SOs(items), with tax code for a particular day, how to find using table VBAP in SE16?
    Please guide me
Edited by: Julius Bussche on Mar 3, 2009 11:10 PM
Please use descriptive subject titles and the search

    Hi GB,
Its always better to see through the standard reports , as you will be able to see the aditional info as well.
In the case of table in se16 you will be able to see one table at a time and then you need to manually figure out the fields that required.
For example if you want to see the sales order details through tables then
1.You have to go to VBAK to see the document type and then you need to go to VBAP to see the items , it means that you need to access 2 tables for this simple thing ....
In standard reports there will be lot of joins between the tables and you can view the data more elobarately as weel.
Note : In general if you want to see the complete details of the documents(open), then pls use the reports.

    Hi:
If you could please refer to the contents of  OSS Note 112609 - How are tax codes transferred to conditions ?
    "Symptom
If a billing document is transferred to accounting the system displays error messages. Transferring tax codes from tax conditions into the pricing conditions and discounts does not function as expected.
    Other terms
    FF805, FF747, FF753, MWSKZ, MWSK1, tax code
    Reason and Prerequisites
The tax condition in the SD pricing procedure contains incorrect reference steps, there are several tax conditions in the pricing procedure of which the tax codes overwrite each other or a program error exists.
    Solution
In the accounting document for a billing document, the different G/L account line items are provided with a tax code. The tax code of the G/L accounts is transferred from the tax condition(s) of the billing document. How are the tax codes of the tax conditions transferred into the other conditions of a billing document ?
    Basically:
The conditions of a billing document are read from top to bottom. As soon as an active tax (inactive = ' ') is read, the system transfers the tax code of this tax into the non-tax conditions as follows:
        1. The reference steps (From-step, To-step) are read (the reference steps are defined in the pricing procedure).
        2. The tax code is transferred into all conditions, for which
the step number of the condition lies in the pricing procedure between "From-step" and "To-step",
the condition is not inactive (exactly: the inactive flag is not equal to A (Condition exclusion), M (Inactive due to manual entry), or X (Incorrect)),
the condition is not statistical (if it is no invoice list condition),
the condition is no tax condition.
After the transfer of the tax code the system searches for the next active tax. If further taxes are found, their tax code is again transferred according to the above procedure. If the reference steps of different taxes overlap, tax codes that have already been transferred are overwritten. To all non-tax conditions which in the pricing procedure stand after the last tax condition the tax code of the last active tax condition is transferred if they are not statistical.
    Special features:
        1. If the "From-step" of a tax condition refers to a subtotal of the pricing procedure, the tax code of the tax is not only transferred into the conditions with step number between From-step and To-step but into all non-tax conditions for which
the step number of the condition in the pricing procedure is lower than the "To-step" of the tax condition.
the condition is not statistical (if it is no invoice list condition).
the condition is not a tax condition.
        2. If the "To-step" of the tax condition is smaller than the "From-step", then the system sets "To-step = From-step".
    Notes:
        1. As of Release 4.0 the tax code is no longer transferred in pricing but only when the billing document is released to accounting.
        2. If you use several taxes and tax codes and Customizing is incorrect for the release of billing documents to accounting, among others the system may display error message FF747.
        3. If there are several taxes in the pricing procedure refer to Notes 72173 and 82091 for Releases 3.0D - 3.1G. For Release 3.1H, only note 82091 is relevant.
        4. For conditions which are transferred into accounting (thus not statistical, not inactive conditions) and do not contain a tax code, the system searches for a default tax code which in Accounting Customizing can be set depending on the company code (tax code for non-taxable transactions). This applies to releases up to and including Release 4.5B. For Release 4.6, refer to Note 385127."

  • Tax Code V0 Country IN does not exist in procedure ZTAXIN

    Hi all,
While doing IV in Import Purchase scenario, while simulating, i 'm getting the following error.
Tax Code V0 Country IN does not exist in procedure ZTAXIN.
Can someone help me on this.
    Thanks
    AG..

You can define the tax code for your country using the following menupath in customizing:
IMG>Financial Accounting>Financial Accounting Global Settings>Tax on Sales and Purchases>Calculation-->Define tax codes ........... in the next screen enter your country and then the tax code you wish to create and press enter. You would be then directed to another screen, where you would maintain the description and whether it is a Input tax or Output tax and then maintain the appropriate tax percentage and save.
Your country should also be assigned to a calculation procedure. You check the same using the same menupath as mentioned above: .............Tax on Sales and purchases>Basic Settings>Assign country to calculation procedure........In the next screen, enter the appropriate tax procedure for your country. Eg: for country IN, assign tax procedure as TAXIN and save.
    Hope this helps.

  • F-28 / Tax Code Input

    Hi all,
I am facing a problem while doing F-28.
I am trying to post the incoming payments for a customer and trying to clear the open items.
Now, when i select the open items and then simulate the document, I get an additional automatically generated line item ( a new GL account ) with the description " Realized exchange rate gain on sales ".
I need to correct this line item by entering a tax code here. Actually this is the business requirement ,  to input tax code under the gain/loss GL account upon posting of receivable clearing in customer account.
So i have to give the Tax code for this line item. So when i go into the line item and reach the " correct G/L account line item " screen, i see that the tax code is greyed out ! I cannot input any tax code here.
My question is that : Why is the system creating an additional line item and posting a new line item with the G/L for Realized exchange rate.
Where is this linked to the customer invoice ??
Second is : How can i make this Tax code field as ready for input once i simulate and try to correct the line item.
If this is not possible to input the Tax code field for this line item , in F-28 , then is there any alternative where we can input the tax code for this automatically generated line item ?
I also checked the customer invoices where were being cleared in F-28 , and in both the documents, the tax code is given in all the line items.
Why does this line item does not have the same Tax code and why is this greyed out .....
Please help me input the tax code here..
    Many thanks in advance..
    Srikanth.

    Hi Dear,
Ans for 1st one: In your customize settings it is configured that if any exchange rate difference( gain/loss) is there that should be posted to that particular account
thats why system is picking the g/l account and posting to it.
To answer your 2nd querry i need some more clarification
you said that its a incoming payment then no need of tax codes, if as per your co specific requirement it has to give then you are specifying non deductable tax code (A0) only r you are assigning any other.........
Automatic generated line items are triggered after simulating,
Once you simulate the document system will not allow any changes
to meet your requirement one work around is there ..........
if you are ok with A0 tax code you can default it in G/L master it self.
