Item category B and Z in Purchase order

Hi,
We have two cases:
Case 1. PO type is Framework PO, item category B, account assignment K. There is one line item in PO.We are able to make inbound delivery for that PO.
Case 2. For one line item PO type is Framework PO, item category B, account assignment K.
For second line item PO type is Framework PO, item category Z, account assignment K.
When we make inbound delivery for second case, only line item of Z item category is available but of B is not available.
What is correct? Should item category B also appear in case 2?
Nandan

Dear,
Please check the item category Z settings (Since its a custom defined category). Check for what and which settings done for this category.

Syed Hussain.

  • Item Category "U" in Intercompany Stock Transport Order

    Hi Gurus,
Your expert advise on the below functionality is needed..
    Scenario:
Intercompany STO, Document Type : NB , Delivery Type : NLCC
In the Source List, Intercompany Vendor and the Supplying Plant is maintained. Also i have made the Source list relevant for MRP.
MRP is run for the material, SAP generates PR(Document Type NB) with Item Category "U" -Stock Transfer.
I am getting error message when creating PO with reference to this PR, as Standard PO document type NB does not have link to Item Category "U - Stock Transfer".
For Intercompany STO, Item Category should be blank, I am not sure why SAP generates PR with Item Category "U".
If i do not maintain the Source List and generate PR  it is created with Item category as blank. Then i am able to manually assign the Source of supply.
Kindly let me, what needs to be done to generate PR for Intercompany STO in MRP without Item Category "U' in it.
    Regards,
    Hemant

    Hi,
SAP creates the requisition with item category "U" even in case of cross-company (intercompany) purchase requisition.
When converting it to PO the item category becomes blank - as I tried and I got no error message.
Please check your settings under SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Define Document Types (V_T161). You will see (if standard settings have not been changed) that NB requisition type with "U" item category is allowed for NB purchase order type with " " (empty) item category.

  • Create additional field in sales order item and copy to purchase order item

    Dear SAP Gurus,
I am hoping that someone could help me by providing me with how to implement the following 2 requirements in the SD order and in the purchase order.
    1. I am wanting to add a custom field to the SD sales order item copying a value from the vendor customer master.
    2. I then want to add a custom field to the purchase order item and copy the value from my custom field in 1. to this new custom field..
Can you please advise how I would go about implementing the above requirements?  I am assuming that there are exits to allow me to implement these 2 requirements.
    Many thanks
    Henry

    Hi,
For the first requirement you can use the USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP in report MV45AFZZ.
For the second, as I think that you will create a RFQ you can try to use the enhancement MEREQ001.

  • Service PO-Item category D and A/c assignment category K

    Hello all,
I am novice in service procurement. Kindly help me understand this scenario.
Client has created service PO with item category D and assignment category K.
There is no service based IV or GR based IV clicked. If i see , services tab , in item details, it is totally blank. and in PO history, i can see all IR-L documents with 940 EUR as total, while the PO is for 1000 EUR.
Limit shown in PO is 1000 EUR. Now if we go to MIRO screen, the system suggests remaining amount as 300 EUR instead of remaining 60 EUR.
Kindly let me know your feedback on this.

  • Deleted item and message in purchase order

    Hi !
When I delete a item in a purchase order (ME22N), this deleted item doesn't appear in the message (category message = NEU). How make to appear the deleted item ?
    thanks a lot
    Joel

    Hi,
This is a general practice that once a item is deleted it will not be shown in the message as it has no relance further which a vendor need not know. Accordingly the print programme has been configured. Also there is no necessity of appearnce of the deleted item in the print out as what purpose it will serve. In any case the deletion record will be there in the system to trace such changes. If this need to be available in the message than the abap team should programme the print pogramme accordingly.

  • Item category "N" and "L"

    Hi ,
In procurements related to projects i saw some document Item categary "N" for non stock material and item category "L" for stock material .  But in standard SAP item category "N" is not their in both purchase order and purchase requisition documents and all know we use item category "L" for subcontracting purchase . Is this "N" and "L" only for PLM ?........Please let me know how can do project related in standard SAP.
    RB

    Dear Raghavendra,
As you said these item categories N , L are used in PM/PS modules and for N[Non stock ] material you would get  PRs generated from these modules like from networks or WBS in case of PS or Maintenance orders in case of PM you would find these values . The item category is mentioned in the network activity or MO operation and that is copied to the PRs /reservations which are generated once we release the networks/MO etc. These are also used in BOMs also . Thus for non-stock material N you would get a PR and stock material L you would get a reservation generated in MM .

  • Condition type MVK0 and MVK1 in Purchase order

    Hi Experts,
In my purchase order, line item for an article (material) there is a condition type MVK0 (Sales Price inc. Tax) and MVK1 ( Sales price excl tax) which appears in Red in IS-Retail server.
The pricing analysis says that the condition has been found without the condition record.
The details for condition type MVK1 is
Condition class:- Prices (B), Calc type:- C (QTY),
Condition category J ( Customer Expected price)
There is no access sequence for this condition type.
Manual entries D Not possible to process manually
The details for condition type MVK1 is
    Cond. class B Prices
    Calculat.type C Quantity
Cond.category W Expected sales price (including tax)
    Access Sequence: Not maintained
Manual entries D Not possible to process manually
I wish to know how to populate values for these condition type.
Also could someone throw light on the condition category Wand J.
what is the importance of MVK0 & MVK1 condition types and How it is linked with SD pricing?
if we want this condition types values in PO what settings needs to be done?

  • Mis match in attributes of item category B and Blanket PO item details

    Hi
I could not able to create a Blanket PO with document type FO and item category B (limit).
Normally for a blanket PO, GR is not allowed and IR is mandatory. So, I could able to see these checkboxes for GR (not set and grayed) and IR (set and grayed) in the item details of the PO in delivery and invoice tabs. But I end with an error message that 'GR is not set is used is not allowed' (exactly i don't remember but some thing like that)
Before creating a blanket PO, I found that in 'attributes of item categories', that for the item category B, GR is set and IR is not set (in customizing-OMH4). Of course, one cannot change the attributes of item categories.
I suppose due to this mis-match in the attributes of item categories and that in the PO, I'm getting an error message while creating a blanket PO and could not able to save.
Also I have checked all the system messages for the message displayed. No where(i.e. in any message class or category and for that message number) I found any such message defined with error in 'attributes of system messages' for purchasing, material master, inventory, invoice verification etc.
I suppose this error message is coming somewhere from the application program for the PO.
So, what can be the solution
    waiting for your reply.
    thank you

Thank you for your answer. I haven't mention this point in my thread but I have already tried this.
I have tried matching the GR and IR controls of account assignment category with PO GR, IR controls and also with item category B, GR, IR controls. Still i am getting the same error and could not able to save the PO
Also I have checked the field settings for PO for all categories like transaction relevant, item category relevant, etc in customizing.
Main problem is both GR and IR controls are being grayed in PO. Other wise I could able to change them as per my wish and could able to avoid the error even though the GR and IR controls in PO are correct as per the process requirement.
If possible, please check the GR and IR controls for item category B (in my system it showing that GR is set with binding and IR is not set with binding). But it should be reverse as per the process requirements and in limit PO it is showing correctly. i.e. with GR is not set with binding and IR is set with binding.
    thank you

  • Item category is not determined in CRM order

    Hi Friends,
    Our requirement is as follows
We have 1 sales org like Z111 and 2 distribution channels like dist chan Z1 and Z2, we want a material say for eg "material A" should be 3rd party item by assigning item category grp "BANS" in sales org  Z111 and dist chan Z1. The same material i.e, "material A" should be standard item by assigning "NORM" in sales org  Z111 and dist chan Z2.
We have done the above scnario in CRM system ( we have assigned BANS for material A in sales org  Z111 and dist chan Z1 and NORM for the same material in sales org  Z111 and dist chan Z2.
But problem is when I create order for sales org  Z111 and dist chan Z1 in CRM, the item category is determined as TAN instead TAS. Item category determination is already existing the CRM system.
This scenario is working fine in my back end system i.e, R/3 but it is not wrking in CRM.
Can anyone give me some clue about this.
    Thanks in advance
    JM

    Hi JM
First check in your CRM system if the material in extended to both the distribution channels.
    Tcode: COMMPR01
Sale org tab should have entry for dist chan Z1 and Z2.
Click on Z1 and maintain iten cat grp : BANS
Click on Z2 and maintain iten cat grp : NORM
Now check your item category determination. It should have following 2 entries:
IMG > CRM > transactions > basic settings > define item category determination
    transaction type: ZORD
    item category group: BANS
    item category: TAS
    transaction type: ZORD
    item category group: NORM
    item category: TAN
    hope this helps

  • Schedule lines confirmation based on item category(TAN and TANN)

    Hi All,
We have a problem with the schedule line confirmation in the standard sales order. Suppose if I give the item category as TAN, the schedule lines are confirmed for that line item. If I change the item category from TAN to TANN, then there is no confirmation of the material(No confirmed schedule lines).
How Item categories influence the schedule lines? Are schedule lines also depend on customer?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pranil.

    Hi Pranil,
When you change Item Category then most likely in your case Schedule Line Category is also getting redetermined.
Schedule Line category is determined by the Combination of Item category and MRP Type of Material.
Hence please check your Schedule Line category after entering new Item category.
Open VOV6 and check the Schedule Line Category. In that if Item Rel for Delivery Check Box is Unchecked then it means that
your schedule line will get unconfirmed.
Do let me know if this helps.

  • Updating the Item category in a Free of Charge order

    Hi all,
I am currently working in a requirment on Free of Charge orders.
Existing scenrio is : In Free of Charge orders, if there is a BOM material is associated in the sub item, then the particular product's item category is not editable, so we can't alter it manually. SAP Note : 796926 says there are restrictions for usage of free of charge transaction types when the sub item involved is BOM.
Requirement: To make this item category editable in this scenario.
So we are currently looking for an option to make an enhancement to SAP standard program for this.  I tried to debug standard modules from the point where we open an order. But not able to find any significant place which deals with disabling this item category.
Any suggestions on the SAP CRM program which deals with this will be very helpful.  Thanks in advance.

    hi
Once the BOM is created it is not possible to change the item category, either you have to delete the material and re-enter the material with different item category

  • Missing menu item attachment list in GOS regarding purchase order

    Hello All,
I customized the archiving for different kinds of documents.
There is all quite good for example with sales orders or invoices. I can call the transaction codes to view a speacial document - in those cases VA03 / VF03 - , click on the special GOS-icon and select from the drop-down menu the attachment list. The attachment list opens as a popup and there I see all created PDF documents.
Only with purchase orders it won't work. Calling the ME23N and clicking on the GOS-icon the menu item attachment list is not active (light grey). With administration transaction OAAD I can see that there are archived PDF documents. So, the archiving works but still not the viewing of archived purchase orders.
How can I activate the attachment list in this case? Maybe I forgot to do something?
Thank you very much for your help!

    Hi,
Check if note 1506581 is present in your system,if not please implement the same.
Also check if in /SPRO -> IMG Customizing -> "Integration with
our mysap.com components" -> Supplier Relationship Management ->
Message Control -> "Activate Document Transfer"
the customizing is correctly set for BUS2012 (Purchase Order).
If not, please maintain this entry correctly and re-test the
    scenario.

    Ashwini.

  • Item category limit (B) in frame work order

Is it that item category B (limit) is mandetory in frame work order ? In that case it should appear by default. Can we use any other item category with frame work order logically?

first the question is why do we use frame work order when we already have other document ype avilable
answer is when ever we need to create a po for a validity period then frame work order is used
next thing why do we use u=item category B or limit
answer genrally frame. work order is used as blanket po means for those comodities which r procured very frequently but there monetrey value is very less
and ur not intersted in doing there godd reciept u will be directly going for invoice reciept

  • Clear the field INFOUPDATE and UNLIMITED in Purchasing Order

    Hi experts,
I have a request to clear the 2 fields Infoupdate and Unlimited in the Purchasing Order.
I understand that this can be done in the customizing. However I need to have some condition which the customizing cannot be fulfiled.
For example, the request only require to clear the 2 fields, when creating new item and for a particular plant only.
Is there a customer exit, bapi, etc that can someone think of?
    Thanks in advance.
