Item Clear Cache After Submit Press

hi,
i have 5 item on a page Like
P1_A,
P1_B,
P1_C,
P1_D,
P1_E .
I want here when i press submit button then value of P1_A, P1_B, P1_C, P1_D, P1_E should be in insert into table and clear Cache last item P1_C, P1_D, P1_E
and value of item P1_A,P1_B should not be clear Cache.
How can i Clear Cache the selected item .

I have one more proble,
I have implement e-mail option in my application,i have two report first one contain List of all document and a Link In last Column in that report when i click at that link then respective Document are Add in Second Report .
But problem is when i click Attach LinkThen page is Refresh and All Fill Value In ITEMS are clear which are on page 4.
How can i stop to clear these item value if i attch document.

Hi Expert,
    I create a mime object (such as "test1.jpg") in mime repository.
   In web dynpro, I add two UI elements: a formatted text edit and a File-Upload "Insert Image",
   after I click the File-Upload "Insert Image",
   I select an image file (such as test2.jpg) from local directory, and upload the content of the image file to mime object(test1.jpg) in mime repository.
   at the same time, I insert a line into formatted-text-edit as "<img src="/SAP/Public/.../test1.jpg" />".
   I double click the mime object (test1.jpg), its content has changed as test2.jpg,
   however, formatted-text-edit still displays the content of test1.jpg.
   When I mannually clear the cache of IE, and refresh the web, Formatted-text-edit display the content of test2.jpg.
It's obvious that the cache of http server isn't cleared.
How to clear cache after mime object is updated?
Any suggestions are welcomed.

Download in CSV format with Clear Cache After Regions

Hi,
I am trying to download Apex report in CSV format, but, as I have Clear cache After Region data gets cleared and nothing the saved in CSV file. If I remove Clear Cache option I am able to download report in CSV format, but, as cache entries are not cleard it is fetching all records related to previous entry which is not intended. This is all happening in single session. If I logout and login again, then cache is cleard. But in single session when I move from one report to another cache entries are not cleared.
Appreciate your help.

Run page with cleared cache after edit in application builder

When I am building a form and run into an error while submitting the page I get the following situation. After making some changes to the page I try to run it again but the values from the previous try are still in the cache. So I immediately run into the same error I had earlier. The only way around this, that I currently know of, is to select another page in the application builder and start this. Then I can navigate to the page I'm working on using the menu. I usually start pages from the menu with a cleared cache.
Is there an easier way to do this?
There are currently two "run" buttons in the application builder. There is the button that says "run" and there is the "traffic light". Maybe one of those can be used the run the page with a cleared cahche and the other one with the cache still intact.

Hi,
One of the parameters in the URL is for clearing cache:
f?p=App:Page:Session:Request:Debug:ClearCache:itemNames:itemValues:PrinterFriendly
so, you could just enter the page number into the 6th parameter to clear the cache for that page

You dont need spyware or antivirus.
TO CLEAR CACHE ON BROWSER?
From the Home screen, tap Internet Explorer.
From the lower right corner of your screen, locate and tap the icon consisting of three dots.
Select settings.
Tap delete history.
Tap delete to confirm.
Close and relaunch your browser.

Firefox keeps running in the background, and cannot clear Cache after turning off Firefox

After shutting down Firefox, it keeps running in the background. This creates a Problem when trying to clear the Cache, etc.
Why does it keep running?

Look into CCleaner and Advanced System Care and file a support question because if Firefox is not in task manager it is NOT RUNNING! By the way you mentioned you don't like that Firefox 7.0 because it doesn't have a tool bar with Mail and Facebook try this:
*Make mail etc. bookmarks
*Open the list of bookmarks
*Right click one
*Click "Properties"
*Enter mail or facebook etc. in "Keywords"
*Next time you want to open it just type mail or facebook etc. into the address bar
*Hit enter or click the green arrow however you normally load a webpage when you type it in
*This will open the web page without having to enter the URL

WebRFC - clearing cache after making changes in SAP

I'm finding that as I make changes to my Functional Modules in SAP, and then try to test them from Personas, I can not pick up the new version until I log right out of NWBC and the log back in again .... there has to be a faster way .... right?
Any tips much appreciated.

No, you don't need to clear the cache. You only have to reconfigure your domain through the psadmin menu.

Firefox 4 wont load page completely or play videos on youtube and ive noticed its always after clearing cache. after a while it will start working properly but its kind of annoying. Know what the problem is?

oh, there is still a pending issue with youtube unfortunately. I can play videos individually but if I click on a video that is part of a playlist it lags and then goes to a blank space where the video should be. Is that a flash player issue? So, I can play videos individually but not playlists.
Any word on that would be awesome

Clear Item Cache after validation failure

Hi Guys,
I have a page validation that fires when two items (P6_LOCATOR_ID & P6_NEW_LOCATION) are equal which is working OK.
The field validation is on the P6_NEW_LOCATION field.
When this validation is true, I want the validation message to appear as it is now, but I want the P6_NEW_LOCATION to be reset to null or the cache for that item cleared.
I cant run it as a page process after computations and validations because it never gets passed the validations to initiate. I have also tried creating a clear item cache process after the button that initiates the validation is pressed, but again that doesnt work.
Can anyone think of another way that it can be done?

Thanks for that. I am not setting the value of :P6_NEW_LOCATION programatically, I am just putting the value 2 into the field item and pressing the 'submit' button behind which the validation is running.

the value in the pop-up is not deleted , and sure i want it cleared after i search ? how to do so ?

Surely, when you click the search button, the value in your item is required by the report (as a parameter).
Create a button (RESET) with a branch back to the same page and use the clear cache in the branch

However, I need to clear certain items not everything on the page. I tried substituting apex_application.clear_item_cache(:APP_ITEM); but that doesn't work. What is the process that clears the apex_application item cache?

Is the page you're clicking away from executing a submit when you click away? If so, I would try either of these in a page branch.
Assume you are on page 1 and clicking to page 2. On Page 2, let's say you want to keep the cache on items P2_A, P2_B but clear the cache for P2_C.
In your page branch (defined on page 1) that fires to take you to page 2, try either of these:
Clear cache on page: 2
Set these items: P2_A, P2_B
With these values: &P2_A., &P2_B.
That should clear all of 2 but reset A and B back to their current values from the cache before it's cleared.
Or, try this:
Clear cache on page: (don't put anything here)
Set these items: P2_C
With these values: (don't put anything here)
That should (I think) only clear P2_C

I need to clear the cache for a single page item. This is what I have done:
- Created button call Reset Appt Time
- Created Process - Clear Cache for items, Source has the page item I need to clear - P3_APPT_DT_TM
- Created Branch - so that when Reset button is pressed it branches back to same page (3)
Everything works, but the cache is cleared for all the items on the page not just the one page item I specified.
Please advise.

I am not sure if you could clear cache of a single item, but you can initialize any item to null or any values, look for the Action box of Page Branch, (set these items and set these values ).

I have a new Macbook Pro running Mavericks and safari consistently freezes. It takes several 'return/enter' presses to get to the page I requested. I have seen other comments and replies on how to fix (clear cache, clear extensions/plug-ins), to no avail.

I have a new macbook pro running mavericks and only using Safari as my browser. 75% of my url requests are 'hung up' and freeze. I have seen other posts and have tried to clear cache, reset safari, remove extensions, but to no avail.
Any recommendations?

If it works in a new user account, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Livecycle Designer 8 - Is it possible to have button to clear fields after user has clicked submit by email button so user can reuse form to send another response with different answers?

Users will use form to fill in stats for enquiries so they want to keep form open, complete a form, click button to submit by email, then click another button to clear form, form now ready to accept form's responses. They dont' want to keep opening form each time form needs to be completed.

Thanks for your response, not sure what you mean by a loop. I put together
a draft form to show staff in our Knowledge Centre the sort of thing
Livecycle Designer can do.
(See attached file: Library Request Form_pub_0001.pdf)
They are currently writing out on form and manually putting into excel to
keep stats on the requests.
Due to current Global Financial Crisis my section does not want to spend
extra money at the moment seeking assistance from our tech heads. So we
are looking for least work no expense option for keeping stats. I am a PA
who just happens to have Livecycle program on my computer.
We use Lotus Notes so I thought the staff could save copy of Library
request form in the stationery folder. The staff using the form want to be
able to do the following:
1. open the Library request form at the beginning of the day;
2. when a request comes in, complete the form and click on Send by email
button
3. click on a Clear Data button to clear all data from all fields so the
form is open ready for when the next request comes in.
Staff are time poor and, as this is only one of their numerous duties, they
don't want to keep going to a location and opening a file which can be very
slow on some days
Each day form may be filled out by approximately 15 staff who may receive
anything from 0 - 4 requests a day.
I am not a tech head so script writing is a deep, dark mystery. Can you
help using the form above as an example for achieving step 3 above.

if i understand this correctly, you just want everything cleared whena
buttons is pressed?
you can either do it individually:
on button click:
mytextField.rawData=""
or do a loop, using child/paretns..
