Item Dependency "" not found in EUL

Hi,
We are migrating from Discoverer 3i to 4i then to 10g. While doing so I get the following error while importing one such workbook.
Item Dependency "" not found in EUL followed by Atempt to open work book failed
I did check all the permissions for the workbook/folder/user but no luck ... ne pointers on what the issue could be
Thanks in Advance

Figured out the reason. It is missing a Function in the calculations. This is a Database Function (sheet--> edit sheet --> calculations --> new --> select functions radio button --> Database). There are functions available here in 3i but not present in the migrated 10g version.
how can i get these functions when i migrate ?

  • Discoverer 4.1.33 report fails Item dependency not found in EUL for 1 user

I support Discoverer 4.1.33 installed on number of Windows XP sp3 PCs.
Oracle database on Server is 10g.
We have a number of Discoverer programs/reports that have been running for years.
A particular program sales order report works fine for several users of Discoverer 4.1.33
but for one user the report fails with "Item dependency not found in EUL " error.
I matched the Discoverer settings for that 1 user with the others such as
Disable FanTrap Detection, disk cache and Memory cache big - 40 gig,
connect to standard EULs, and other similar settings. Standard TNSnames.ora.
The report fails on the one user's PC. It is a larger report maybe a thousand lines
but not huge. I uninstalled Discoverer 4.1.33 and legacy Oracle 8.0.6 on users PC.
Re-installed all. Curiously the Discoverer settings did not not go back to default but
stayed as previously set and reports fails.
Question: Is Windows Users profile folders used at all? I didn't think it was.
Why did the Discoverer settings not go back to default?
I cleared and deleted the entire Oracle folder with Discoverer in it!
May be the key to why Discoverer program/report fails.
    Any help appreciated,

    Hi,
The reason the report fails with "Item dependency not found in EUL " error is most likely because the user does not have access to one of the business areas in the EUL or user in the database does not have access to a table/view or function used in the EUL. Is the EUL a database or Apps EUL? Check that the user can access all the EUL folders and items that are used in the report.
The users' settings such as fan trap detection are held in the PC registry and so usually not overwritten by a re-install.

  • Cannot join tables .item dependency not found in EUL

cannot join tables.item dependency "a04 currency->b27 exchange rate 1" not found in EUL
I am not able to open a workbook in discoverer in user edition.
It seems I unwittingly deleted a join in the end user layer. I have tried to redo the join but I have not been able to replicate the join required. Is there any way I can work around this join without having to scrap my workbook? Rebuilding the workbook took a long time.
Any suggestions would dig me out of a deep hole

    Hey,
I got this Error after our environment was cloned from APPS Production (PRD) instance to Development (DEV). I saved my workbooks that were 'under construction' as *.DIS files as local copies to the network.
After the clone was finished I imported the latest Business Areas back onto DEV, but there was no way I could open my saved local workbooks due to the error "cannot join tables .item dependency not found in EUL".
After some hours of rage, by accident we found out that one of our Functional Consultants was able to open these workbooks! It turned out that when I logged on to APPS under the user_name (from FND_USER) of this person I could indeed open the workbooks and save them to the database after which I could open them again with my own user.
So -in this case- I solved the problem by using a different user to open the workbooks. But who knows next time...
    Good luck, you'll need it.

  • Item Dependency "" not found.

When opening workbooks in Discoverer ver.4.1.37, receive the error Cannot join tables. Item Dependency "" not found.
The two workbooks in question had minimal changes and no new joins were introduced or removed.
However I did notice that it works in the Development environment but not in the Production envioronment.
How can this problem be resolved?
    Please reply ASAP...

I have the same message "cannot join tables.item dependency '"' not found in EUL" and havent been able to open a workbook. But I dont know what you are talking about when you mention
a development environment and a production environment
Please give me specific instructions on how to retrieve my workbook???
    Very much appreciated
    diarmuid
    Hi,
It looks like you have exported the EUL in the development environment to the production environment.
When creating the EUL there are a some grants are not given by default.
From the Admin edition you have to give the access to the Business area to the user.
After this you have to share the workbook to the user ( if the user is not the owner of the workbook ).
Also check whether the select privilege on the underlying tables have been given to the user.
    Regards.

  • Can't join tables.query dependency not found "" in EUL

    hi ALL,
i created one report in disco 3.1.38 and its' running fine but after storing it in database and then again trying to open it from database it gives me error "can't join tables."name of query folder" dependency not found "" in EUL"
if any one has come across such problem and has solution for it ..please reply back.
    thanks in anticipation
    manish

    Manish,
I have not run into this error before and maybe one of the oracle consultants could answer this better. But I here it goes. I would first try a refresh on the folders that the report in question is using. Is it possible that the under lining tables have changed? Do you have another copy of the same report outside of the database and does it still work?

  • Cannot join tables.item dependency "" not found in the EUL

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me?
I have recently exported and imported my business area into my (SYS)database but some of the workbooks from (DEV) have produced the message above.
Is there anyway of solving this? I have had to recreate the workbooks but would like to still use the previous database (DEV). Do I need to export and import the current working environment into the old BA.
Also do I need to remove the existing BA before I import it?
    regards,
    Paul.

It sounds like you are using some sort of reporting tool. Are you using Oracle Reports? Or are you using something else (Crystal Reports, Business Objects, etc)?
Can you capture the SQL that the report generates and try to run that against the database via SQL*Plus?

  • Item cost not found for one or more items - Inventory Posting

    Good Day Mentors,
My user has encountered an error during Inventory Posting and its "Item cost not found for one or more items".
The specific Message ID from SAP's System Message Log is 10001287.
I found a similar post which addresses this error here.
But unfortunately it did not help me solve my user's problem.
I already checked if the items had a defined "Item Cost" in the Item Master Data Inventory Tab, and they all have "Item Cost" defined.
I'm not sure if this will help, but below is the Inventory Audit Report of one of the items that is throwing the "Item cost not found" error.
I am not a business consultant neither am I literate in accounting, so thanks for the patience.
    SAP Version: 9.0 PL5
    Valuation Method: Moving Average
    Thanks in advance!
    Sean

    Hi Augusto and Raviraj,
I've already verified in our production database the points you made:
    - Is the "Manage Item cost per warehouse" selected in the Basic Initialization Screen?
    YES
    - Is the "Manage Inventory by Warehouse" ticked/checked in the "Inventory Data" tab of the "Item Master Data" screen?
    YES
    * I apologize for not have been able to give this information upfront.
Anyway, the database only has one warehouse at the moment.
I've checked the items, like the item in the screen shot above, and it does have an item cost.
Below is the screenshot of the sample item from my original post,
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi all,

when the user is trying to add the issue for production system is showing error item cost not
found. The item which is issued is Inventory + purchase item with manual issue method. The valuation
method for that item is FIFO.since the valuation method is FIFO,error related to item cost should
    not occur.
Since the valuation method is FIFO.Item cost error should not occur.
The error related to item cost must not occur at the time of issue for production.

That's going to be a soap item corruption issue. You're going to have to
open an SR. Turn on SOAP tracing at the poa and try to trace the issue.
    Problem Resolved.
The user created the additional folder: "mailbox" under "Cabinet"-folder.
After removal of this folder everything began to work.

  • Generated Forms does not compile - NEXT ITEM and PREVIOUS ITEM procedure not found

I tried to generate forms using Designer 6i.
FMB was created, but there are compilation errors.
The Compiler can not found procedures called CGNEXTITEM and CGPREVIOUSITEM.
Judging by the names, those procedures are supposed to be generated by designer as well,
but there are no codes with the names.
    Any idea?

Is your temporary table created with the clause "on commit preserve rows" or "on commit delete rows"?
If it's the latter then try changing to the former as you have a commit in the middle of your code, doing this will keep the data in the table for the duration of the session.
If you need to clear the table of data within your session, you'll have to do an explicit delete.

  • Error "Cannot join tables. Item dependency 'TatZ' not found in EUL"

I have created a Discoverer Report in a development instance of
Oracle. After I create the Data views and Item classes in my
production instance (using the same names) I attempt to run the
report. I then get the error stated in the subject and the
report won't load. I can recreate the report in production and
it works fine. I can even take the new report and it will run
in the development instance. Both instances are using the same
end user layer. Anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks
    Gary

    Hi Gary,
    I've experienced the same error.
I developed a report in 3.1.44 in my development environment and
then tried to open it in the identic production environment what
I realized after talking to a user who had the 3.1.25 version
was that he got a message saying that I had forgotten to import
a function in the production environment!
We had separate EULs so I suppose this isn't your problem, but
if you have the possibility to try opening the report in the
older version perhaps you'll get a more informative message.

  • Startup items options not found under user name

I'm sure this has been covered before, but I couldn't find an exact match.
Under the accounts setup-one of the profiles does not have "Login Items" as an option, only has Password, Picture, and Parental Controls. I have full access as administrator to all accounts. How do I get the Login Items Options to show up?
On a larger issue, the reason I would like to access the user account login items is to turn on DirectfonfigX for that login, the particular login will not work with a DVI connection. (Display may be set to VGA, I don't recall the exact reason why it does not work with the same DVI connection as normal login user. they are basically the same user profiles, but I can access some software under one user that the other user will not recognize that I have registered my software, or profile settings. But perhaps that is an even larger issue.)

    Sam,
Just ran a test here--Login Items are only available for the currently logged in account (owner of the keyboard/mouse/display). You'll have to log in as each of those users and set the login items appropriately. Seems that an admin should be able to set these but not so.
