Item Division & Extending customer to another division

I went through a couple of threads but still I have doubt..
What is the diffrence between Item division (In configuration of Sales Doc type) and extending Customer to Another Division ..Can someone explain with an example..

Both are different there is no relation at all.
Item division in sales document type is required for the material or item is copied into the sales order. the materials division is proposed from material master record.
EXTENDING CUSTOMER TO ANOTHER DIVISION.
for example a customer with no 1000 is in sales area of 1000/00/00 i.e is 1000 sales organisation , 00 distribution channel and division.
and you have another division say 10 and the customer places order for material which exists in that division.
in order to fulfill his order you have to extend the customer 1000 to that sales area
1000/00/10
you can do this by going to XD02 and enter the sales area where u want to extend i.e as per above 1000/00/10 and you can give 1000/00/00 as reference .
this is called extending of customer from one division to another or sales area

    If you maintain the payment terms for respective customer it will be reflected in to the sales order.
    Sales area 4000 50 05 is not defined for customers
    Inorder to fix this issue you need to maintain the common divisions in the "OVR2" .

  • Transfering items from one customer to another customer

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a requirement where we have to transfer the items from one customer to another customer in the same company code.
    We should also be clearing the items from the old customer as part of the transfer.
    Is there a way/transaction in ECC 6.0 to achieve this.
    This is not a one-time transfer and the business would like the option of doing it every period (on a case to case basis.) so any standard SAP (transaction) way of doing it would be preferred.

    Dear,
    SAP provides you F-51 t code to post transaction with clearing.
    Select radio button transfer posting with clearing and press choose open item button. Give customer name whose blance is to transferred and account key as D. Press process open item and in next screen select line items which needs to be posted. Proceed further give other customer number with posting 01 and do the transfer. Hope it will help

  • ABAP Question- line item transfer from one customer to another

    Dear SAP Guru's-
    I have a hot issue so any help would be greatly appreciate. 
    I have a customer that needs to move open A/R line items to one payer to another and without using F-30 or F-21, I recall seeing a program or t-code that gave one the ability to move the line items from one customer to another by selecting all line items or listing specific document numbers.  Does anyone know what I am talking about?
    If so, does anyone have any information that could share with me so that I can do it or any documentation to start me in the right direction?

    These t-codes are not helpful and tideous if you have many like a 1000 line items.  In addition, you lose the history, the due date information and the document type change for invoices, etc. 
    I KNOW I saw something that moved all or selected items by document number from one customer to another.  It was called payer to payer transfer.  I cannot find any information on it.
    Any help or more input, more points awarded.

  • Extend the Customer Master one Division to other Division

    If we extend the Customer Master (XD01) One Division to Other Division then system not copies the addition customer data (Customer Groups) and Employee respons field.
    How can copy the field?

    When you are extending the Customer master from One division to another division, Only General data will be copied
    Remaining all other data should be manually changed or edited.

  • Error while creating sales order for material with another DIVISION

    Hello Friends,
    I have a problem with my sales order creation.
    I have defined a new sales area 0010 / 10 / 01. I have the sales order type assigned to this sales area. (in VOV8 for the sales order type, in the 'General Control' the 'item division' is flagged.
    Now, I have created the sold to party XYZ with all the partner functions defaulted same as the sold to party for the sales area 0010 / 10 / 01.
    NOW, I have the material ABC with the DIVISION 10 in the basic data. I have extended the material to my sales org & dist. channel & plant.
    Now, while creating the sales order for my sales area 0010 / 10 / 01 , I enter the sold to party XYZ - it is OK. But when I enter the material ABC, I get the error - "SHIP TO PARTY IS NOT DEFINED FOR SALES AREA 0010 / 10 / 10"
    Please help to resolve the issue.

    Common division for Material Master data will not work
    Because in the material master Division is a field not an organizational unit
    Means when you create MMR you will give sales org, DC, Plant  as organizational units and then enter but not division
    Division is a field maintained in basic data and sales org data 1
    This is the reason in t code you will find in t code VOR2 Common division only customer and conditions but not materials
    But in t code VOR1 Common DC ,customer  conditions and materials all there are available (you can check these t codes)
    Coming to your issue Item div is clecked in your order type
    This means the division in MMR has the priority or control for that order type
    Your header division is 01 ( taken from customers sales area) and item division is 10 (taken from MMR as per your post)
    So it differs
    To process this order with Item div is clecked in your order type you need to extend your Sold to party ABC to the sales area 0010/10/10 (the sales area where the division of the material falls)
    or alternatively
    There should be a  customer say DEF created in sales area 0010/10/10 who will be a ship to party ( your error is also the same)
    for your ABC  that is sold to party in sales area 0010/10/01 where the order is registered
    Hope yopu are getting it
    ABC in sales area 0010/10/01 will have  or should have ship to paty DEF  in sales area 0010/10/10 
    or
    ABC should operate in in sales area 0010/10/10  too
    If item division is not ticked then these are not necessary as the header division 01 will be valid for all items and syatem will not look MMR at all for division

    Please note that In the SAP System you can define a division-specific sales organization. Product groups, i.e. divisions, can be defined for a wide-ranging spectrum of products.
    For every division you can make customer-specific agreements on, for example, partial deliveries, pricing and terms of payment. Within a division you can carry out statistical analyses or set up separate marketing procedures.
    Master Data in Sales and Distribution -> Organizational Structures -> Organizational Structures in SD -> sales area -> Division

    I am in service industry project where unbiiled/unearned/revenue accounts gets hit through SD.
    Now due to restructuring one division is splitting into 3 division.So we need to migrate the data from that one division into new 3 division for which we have a identifier.
    The actual problem is different reconcilliation accoount is mapped to each division.So how to move the open items of old division in to 3 new division means unbilled/unearned rev.

    Another Way is, as you have maintained the Customer for common DC and division, you can make referenece of other sales area with this by T-code VOR1 and VOR2, then the customer with common division and DC will be appllicable for all SALEs area.

    There are 2 distribution channels
    50 is for Equipment
    60 for Spares
    10 division...Like ASpares, Bspares,Cspares, AEquipment, BEquipment, CEquipments.
    I need to extend the customer master to so that i can maintain the payment terms
    Sales Org.      1000   DOM DISTRIBUTION
    Distr. Channel  50       EQUIPMENT - DISTBN
    Division        05      ASpares Sales
    But for me system should not allow this if it is equipment distribution channel then it should allow me to extend the customr only for Equipment division....
    If it is for Spares Distr channel then it should allow me for extending customer master with Spares division...

    This is transfer with clearing.
    You need to know the value of the customer and then you can journal it to clear all open items against the customer and create a single line item in the new Company Code.
    This t code is also used to move line items to different company codes and special gl indicators.
    It can be used for Vendors as well.

    Hi,
    i dont know whether there is any program but there is one t.code which is meant for one of this purpose.
    We can do the same through F-51 also. First specify the document header information. for the first line item specify the customer debit or credit posting key, vendor number, and special gl if you want (Here you have to give vendor number to whom you want to transfer) press enter
    in this screen specify the amount. and go to Choose open items new screen will come
    Specify the vendor number and in additional selections choose document number and then click enter. the one line item only appear here then go for simulate. if required specify the narration by double clicking on the line item.

    unfortunately I didn't succeed in posting the transfer. somehow I seem not to be able to pick up the items for clearing in order to transfer them to a new invoice, although I can see them in the open item list. Would you have any hints on how to pull the old invoice into the posting and then create the new one in the same posting?

  • Discounting line inventory items in Web Customer

    I have implemented field sales on line for opportunity management and contacts. I am using Web Customer to generate quotes which are then pushed through to OE. Web Customer does not allow discounting of line items. Has anyone figured out how to discount line items in Web Customer? Did you have to modify the Web Customer templates?

    This is what I did:
    1) In BEX Analyzer, I opened the local view of the Query and swapped the Key figures and Characteristics. I put the key figures in the columns and Characteristics in the Rows
    2) I ran my report and save it as a View
    3) In WAD, I assigned the Chart to the View.
    When i ran the report from WAD, it still shows the key figures or number ranges in the Y axis and Characteristics on the X axis again.
    I checked the "swap display axes" option in Web Item tab, but the line graph still remains the same.
    Is there another way to do this? Or am I missing something?

    Try de-activating all the custom BADI Implementations and check, what is happening, in the standard SRM system. How does it behave incase of limit item ?
    Incase it works fine, without any Custom Implementation active in the system, I suspect there is something wrong in your current deactivated BADI Implementation.
