I have been pulling my hair out for a few days trying to find
this solution. This fixed my problems as well.
I was getting ready to scrap the Report Builder altogether
and move to SQL Server Reporting Services over this issue.
I'm running 7.0.2 also, that version alone fixed many small
issues like creating borders and such.

Hi Naveen,
If you are looking for specific Subtotal text in ALV Grid, then i think it is not possible.
You can use SORT table to get sub-totals based on the columns that you display.
Generally the record existing on the column based on which you sort the table, appears as the sub-total text automatically.....
You can try giving Subtotal text in the LAYOUT as well and pass the layout to the ALV function module.

Creation of short text and long text?

Hi,
We create short text by using oe_fnd_attachments_pub.create_short_text_document and oe_fnd_attachments_pub.add_attachment API and to create long text we use fnd_documents_pkg.insert_row .
Why is it that we have different approaches for creation of short text and long text?
I know that oe_fnd_attachments_pub.add_attachment is used to attach a short text to some entity,but then why we dont do the same for long text?
Please lemme knw urgently ...

I looked into the document and i got to know few things as to how short and long text are created, but can u tell when the records are inserted into fnd_attached_documents, because i can see that records are inserted into fnd_attached_short_text and fnd_attached_long_text, fnd_documents but i dont see any insertion into fnd_attached_documents, can u lemme knw how and when it is done?

What's the functional difference between placeholder text and regular text?

When inserting text into a project template that I'm creating, what's the difference between inserting regular text (using the Caption tool) and inserting placeholder text?
There's an obvious difference between inserting an image and an image placeholder, but when I use a project template that I've created, placeholder text and caption text behave the same way: I see the text on the stage, and double-click it to edit. So why go through the extra step of inserting placeholder text?

Books can contain audio and video and, yes, iBooks Author allows you to create such books.

Report with Delivery number and header text as output

Hello all,
I need to create a "quick and dirty" report that which will give me every delivery number, and the corresponding header text, in the month of July for given shipping points. I am having trouble figuring out how to get the header text for the deliveries. I have searched and searched but the solutions given just don't make sense to me.

You need to use the function module READ_TEXT to read delivery header text.
Please go to transaction SE75 and use VBBK as the OBJECT to find the specific ID which is required.

                 The usage of texts in SAP is very generic and it is used for all entities and documents . For example the texts exist for Vendor master / CUstomer master and in Sales as well as Purchase orders at item and header level .The long texts are used to maintain certain informative texts which the user wants to have and major benefit is that the additional long texts can be provided to the user through functional customising in IMG - SPRO you do not need any ABAP exit or enhancement for this.
Now you can maintain these texts programatically using the FM :
CREATE_TEXT
SAVE_TEXT
while you can read the existing texts using the FM ' READ_TEXT' .
For this purpose you can also go thru this blog /people/deepak.bhalla/blog/2005/01/24/storing-and-retreiving-of-texts .

There are following ways of storing text in SAP.
1. Using Text Object and Text ID
2. Using Standard text with placeholders

I am assuming that we already have a data in structure required by function module save_text for tables paramenter lines.
1. Use Transaction SE75 to create Text Object and Text ID.
2. Choose first radio button Text Object and ID's
3. Click at create. It will create Text Object.
4. Create Text ID for Text Object.
Now this created Text ID and Text Object can be used to Save and Retreive texts using following function module.
CALL FUNCTION 'ZSAVE_READ_TEXT'

Save_read_indicator = 'X'
header = p_header

lines = p_line.
Exporting parameter Save_read_inidcator type char1. default 'X' for Save.

Dynamic Text and changing Text in AS3

I have a Dynamic Text box in my Library. I drag it to my main stage and give it a name..it is now a movieclip. The name is 'mcAdmin'. I added an event listener for MOUSE_OVER. I want the text to change color, but for now I'm just trying to change the text; however, it's not displaying the change in text I want. I do a trace, and the change is in there on the output window, but it is not displayed as such. How can I :
1) use AS3 to change the font color of the text
2) use AS3 to change the text and have it display?

give the textfield a name, if it hasn't already (sounds like you put it in a movieclip).
to change the text set the text property of your text field
like this
myTextField_txt.text = "here is the text";
or if it is inside a movieclip
myClip_mc.myTextField_txt.text = "here is the text";
To change the color you would need to put a TextFormat on it. To keep the same fontsize, font etc. you could first get the TextFormat from your existing Textfield, change the color of the TextFormat and set it on the TextField.

I want to change the value of a text and this text is called by another text value..

i have a txt_blk1 up to txt_blk32 and i also have a txt_we .. if the text_we.text has a value of 1 to 32 how can i change the value of txt_block0-32.text to 0.. the text we already generates its own value so i dont have to use for loop. i've tried to use _root["txt_blk"+txt_we.text] = 0; im using actionscript 2 .. can someone help me

Field Short Text and long Text not displayed in SKA1 in Se17

When try to extract chart of account data from SAP using Tcode se17 and table ska1. Short text and G/L acc long text are not displayed where as these are displayed when we use t code se16 and table ska1.
My client want to use specifically se17 for extracting the data.

that's a joke isnt' it ?
se17 is from SAP-Rel 2.1 or s.th.!
all jokes aside - the inclusion of text table (here table skat - to table ska1) is only realized with transcations SE16 and SE16N.
To program this inclusion to se17 is very costly - i think and a modification too!

Need to display Subtotal text and total text in ALV

HI,
I need help.
I am displaying subtotal and total for cost column which is group by Project type column
My problem is i am able to display the subtotal and total values but not able to display the 'Subtotal' and 'Total' text on that respective row.
I have updated lvc_s_sort table as follow.
ls_sort-spos = 1.
ls_sort-subtot = 'X'.
ls_sort-fieldname = 'SUBTOT'.
ls_sort-up = 'X'.
ls_sort-SELTEXT = 'Subtotal'.
ls_sort-spos = 2.
ls_sort-subtot = 'X'.
ls_sort-fieldname = 'PRART'.
ls_sort-GROUP = 'UL'.
ls_sort-up = 'X'.
Please suggest what should be done to display the text.

You have to use the event SUBTOTAL_TEXT for the ALV.
the field CRITERIA can be used for checking the field.
and field CRIT_TEXT for the sub total text.
I hope you are aware about how to implement the events in ALV using OOP.
