Items disappearing on transition

If someone could look at www.senecalakes.com and see why when the slideshow at the top transitions to a new slide, the middle 2 links disappear on the page, this would help me tremendsouly.  It was working like a champ, then I clicked or changed something, and the items are disappearing on the slide change.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much for the reply.  Now, how do I get it out of there and somewhere it won't move?

  • Contacts and calendar items disappear when exchange server is off

    Hi All
I've been having this problem for a few weeks now and it's most frustrating. My iphone is setup to sync over the air to our corporate exchange server. It seems that when the server is down for repair/patching ALL my contacts and calendar items disappear from my iphone. This doesn't seem to happen if the phone is out of signal?
I know that I can sync directly with Outlook, however this would then mean that the phone is only updated when synced with my laptop at work. If I sync both over the air AND with Outlook, I get duplicates of everything in my calendar.
I'm not restoring my iphone to factory defaults to get rid of the duplicates and go back to over the air sync only.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get calendar and contacts to work "offline" when the exchange server is down?
Main PC is running Windows 7 and exchange is 2007. This problem is only recent, I think in the last month of two. Nothing has changed other than the last few firmware updates from Apple.

hi, cheers for the info. That would make sense, however how come when I'm out of signal and not connected to wifi, the data doesn't also disappear as that too would render the server "unavailable".
Is there a way to make the iphone keep a copy of the data much the same as "offline mode" in Outlook where you can still browse your email, calendar and contacts when the server is offline, and it picks up where it left off when the server is available again?
I appreciate this may not be a "problem" as such, but is frustrating as all my contacts and calendar live in Outlook and I can't function without them

  • Weird User error - Items disappear from Workflow inbox when refreshed

    Hi All,
One of our end users gets this error -
He logs into business workplace, and clicks on one of the items and exits without doing anything - on refresh the item vanishes from his workflow inbox - not visible in any sub folders or Outbox (Work items exceuted by me).
Same thing occurs when he clicks on the "Reserve" or "Replace" icons for an item and does a Refresh. The item disappears from Inbox.
Tried to swtich off the Preview pane and refresh - same occurence.
Tried to refresh / reserve from another computer and the same thing occurs.
Is this a problem with the GUI / user profile?
    Any pointers highly appreciated.

    Rahul,
    Welcome to SDN Forums!!
Is the user in question a selected agent for the work item(s)? Does this happen only for a specific user? If so, it could be an authorization issue. Check for any failed authorizations (SU53) for the user. What is the status of the WI when it disappears from the inbox? If in error, check for error messages in the technical display of the WF log.
    Cheers,

  • Text in body of Calendar items disappears

Users have complained of this and now it has happened to me:
Appointment in Calendar contains text, after 'something happens', the Appointment is opened and the body is now blank
However, if I search for the item, the text is partially visible in the Results Pane
I have disabled add-ins and started Outlook in safe mode but the text is still missing
    Outlook 2010 Exchange 2013
Has anyone any ideas what could be causing this?
    shapi

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, text in the body of Calendar items disappears, Please follow theses steps: -
Message body disappearing in Outlook is a known issue of two commonly used antivirus software: AVG and NOD32. It happens like this: -
A message arrives in the Exchange mailbox and synchronizes with Outlook.
The AVG or NOD32 add-in, which is added to Outlook automatically if you have the software installed, deletes the message body.
The message is then synchronized with the server, so it is also synchronized with OWA and with wireless devices.
To prevent this from happening you need to remove the AVG or NOD32 add-in in Outlook.
Also, there are other Outlook issues which could be caused by antivirus add-ins. For example, when sending messages they can come back undeliverable with no header.
    To remove an add-in:
    Outlook 2010: File > Options > Add-ins
    In the
Manage field, choose COM add-ins and then click on
    Go.
    Highlight an add-in and click
    Remove.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards

  • File in File Browse item disappears if validation fails on any item ....

    Greetings:
I'm using APEX 4.0. I have a region with 7 data elements, one of them being a File Browse page item. The BLOB file loads in the WWV_FLOW_FILES table first, then in the "After Submit" page processing, I move the BLOB into my own custom table. This works great in normal processing.
However, if any of the other data elements in this region fails validation, the page renders with the validation messages, but the file in the File Browse page item disappears. Therefore, the user would have to re-select the file to upload before they resubmit and process the page again.
How can I avoid this? Why does the path and file name disappear when page validation fails?
    Thanks,
    Stan

Per the HTML specification, APEX will not render a value in a file browse item on page show. This protects the user from nefarious persons changing the file item value during spurious "failed" validation (hoping the user is distracted correcting the "failed" item and does not notice) in order to capture a file the user does not intend to submit (e.g. /etc/passwd).

  • Can I filter News or Events by time (so that past items disappear from listings)?

Can I filter News or Events by time (so that past items disappear from listings)?

Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to find a way to divide events into two lists, "forthcoming" and "past events" which will automatically work without too much work for my client. If I set an event to "expired" is it still in the database and if so, can I list all expired events?

  • Issue with sent items disappearing from Outlook

We are having an issue with many of our users who have had their sent items disappear from Outlook. We are running Exchange 2010 SP2 with Rollup 8. All users on Windows 7 appear to be working fine, it is just users on XP that are having the issue. All
PCs are SP3 with updates applied. The messages were there previously, but the Sent folder shows empty as of Monday. They show correctly in OWA, it is just in Outlook itself that is the problem. If we enable cached mode the items populate, but our standard
policy is to run online with no local PST. We have tried running Outlook with /clearviews and in Safe Mode, but this does not resolve the issue.

    Hi,
From your description, all the sent items are correct in OWA. So the Exchange Server is ok.
About this issue, I recommend you install all the latest Windows updates and check the result.
    Hope it helps.
If there are any problems, please feel free to let me know.

  • IMac monitor - desktop items disappear/reappear - applications pause

For about a week now, every 2 minutes all of my desktop icons will disappear and then reappear. If I have a folder open, such as the Pictures folder, it will close during this process.
If I am using Firefox or Safari or Photoshop, when the desktop items disappear, so does my mouse's ability to function on the application. I have to click on the application again for the mouse to function on it.
Today I was attempting to burn files to a DVD, but it fails because of this "refreshing" or whatever you call this symptom. Last night my computer did appear to do its weekly backup, (it said it was successful) but I wanted to copy files onto a DVD just in case.
Can someone give me some direction on how to troubleshoot this? In beginner terms? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.
P.S. The only new things that happened recently that I can think of was that I did a software upgrade (think it was Quicktime...) and downloaded a Wordpress Theme.

Sometimes, starting up in SafeBoot (shift key held after start tone, login window appears
and semi-normal desktop Finder appears; but this is in a reduced function mode) and a
'repair disk permissions' in Disk Utility of the computer's volume on the Mac HD may help.
And after that, or any other minor repairs done in SafeBoot, the computer gets a normal
restart so the rest of the OS will be up and running. If that does not help, there are other
things one may try and do to help it. The matter involves some troubleshooting and a
cause and effect approach is sometimes taken; or on other occasions, a user may try a
long laundry-list of things and hope some issue just goes away; if one or another thing
happens to work. In this instance, learning of a specific issue's cure may not result.
Some items causing a problem, such as those cited above, may be dealt with while
the computer is started up in SafeBoot mode; since extensions and other parts of
such things may be turned off. So, some items like Stuffit can be removed when
they are disabled in SafeBoot. Be sure to run 'repair disk permissions' before and
after software updates, since for some reason this appears to help the system.
Sometimes, just basic system maintenance such as repair disk permissions, running
time/date cron-like routines (see AppleJack download, or OnyX in automation) can
resolve issues that may otherwise involve knowing more about how the system works.
These kinds of tools, free to download and try, can save a bit of trouble; some of that
is preventive in that the routines can be done per schedule to keep the system well.
The bootable installer system disc can be helpful, since there are optional tools in the
Disk Utility on that disc's boot volume; ahead of actually running the Installer itself. A
menu bar appears in the first full Installer window with drop down menus in it, and of
these a few options appear. And in the Disk Utility, chosen from the Installer menu,
there are a variety of tools which can totally obliterate or attempt a repair to the HDD.
An 'archive & install' and then update the resulting new system to the latest version
    of OS X including security update, java, quicktime, safari, and other parts would follow;
in some cases, perhaps extreme, this is one way to resolve system software issue.
There are others, but this is among the last but not least. Further study is recommended
before going the A&I plus update the new system folder route; depending on what else
is going on in the system as it exists now. If this archive & install is performed, be sure
the checkbox to save user account info is marked, so the new system will retain this...
    In any event...
    Good Luck & happy computing!

  • Publish Date Items disappeared

This happens on Portal 9.0.4.99. Tried to publish a text item at 10:00AM, changed the Publish Date to 3:00PM, after hitting Submit, the item disappeared, even in admin (Edit) mode. Then the item showed up at 3:00PM. This only happens on one Page Group, not on another one.

    hi geofferey,
there is a page group property - item tab - where you can set if you want to display unpublished items in edit mode.

  • Why do new event items disappear from calendar after a few seconds

Suddenly, new event items disappear from calendar a few seconds (7-30) after creation. This has never been a problem before, and I have used iCal for years. All my old events remain but as of today, when I try to add an event, it stays on the screen for a few seconds, then disappears. I tried entering the events on my iPhone and then syncing, but they went away on my phone as well. Does anyone have an idea of what's happening? Is my iCal out of memory?

I had success with this method:
    1) make a backup of iCal's database (-> file menu)
    2) revert to that same backup ( " " )

  • Why do items disappear when moved to the desktop?

Why do items disappear when moved to the desktop?

Are you perhaps referring to dragging an item out of the Dock and onto the Desktop?
If so, they are intended to poof-disappear when you do that.
The reason - the icons shown in the Dock are a form of alias, not the real item. Any running app will have its icon shown there; and those that do appear there can be made to stick even when the program is quit. This means that there must be a mechanism to get rid of them, else there would eventually be too many. One way is to right-click or Control-click the item, then select Remove from the popup menu that appears. A more convenient way is to just drag them off of the Dock and have them disappear.
If you want to replace an item on the Dock, just drag the item to the Dock, wait for the items already there to make room for it, then drop it onto the Dock. Apps can only be placed to the left of the vertical dashed line; folders can only be placed between the dashed line and the Trash.

  • Keychain Items Disappeared!?

I think this is the right place to post this, but if it isn't, please let me know.
About half of the items I had in my Keychain have disappeared, they were there a few days ago, and today they're gone - has anyone else had this problem?
Yesterday I cleaned out Safari cache and deleted cookies - it's the only thing different I can think of that I did - but doing this shouldn't affect Keychain, right?
I'm at a loss and hope someone has some insight.
    Thanks.

Well - after several attempts (Backup has it's problems), I was able to restore my keychain items.
According to a tech guy at my local Apple store, keychain items that are associated with AutoFill may be the only ones affected when I do my Safari housecleaning, not so much the cookies but emptying the cache and resetting Safari.
Because not all the keychain items disappeared, I may do a controlled experiment (now that I know I can restore from Backup), just to see which ones where affected.

  • Important: Item Disappears form Item Dashboard when used in Initiative

    Hello All,
I have one urgent question. I am seeing one strange thing. When a PPM Item is created and lets say this Item has a role A with 'Write' access on it. When I log in as Role A, I can see the PPM Item on the Item Dashboard. But the strange thing is when an Initiative is created by Role B ( this Initiative has both 'Write' access for roles B and role A) and the above PPM Item is added. Then when I log in as Role A, I cant see the PPM item on Item Dashboard. To see the PPM Item as Role A, I have to go to Initiative first and then see added items and there I can see the above PPM Item but not directly from Item Dashboard. Can someone throw some light as why PPM item disappears from Item dashboard for Role A, even when Role A has write access on the PPM Item, after item is used in a initiative.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

My app with the CQC updating the JTable didn't get any entryDeleted events.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

All I do to reproduce it is start coherence, register a trigger with that offending line of code in it and add an Execution to the Executions cache. The Execution shows up, but is immediately gone as soon as that line of code in the trigger runs. No entryDeleted event comes over the CQC. I haven't tried doing a get on the missing object's key yet.

  • Desktop Items Disappearing

I just got a new eMac G4. I'm running on the Tiger system. Every time I log out of my system and log back in, all my desktop files/items are gone. So every morning, I run the Disk Utility, "Disk Repair Permissions" and that fixes it and brings back all my files, until the next morning (after I've been logged out for the night). I also have been absolutely unable to save anything or download anything to my desktop. It would seem to me that running the disk repair should fix it once and for all...I shouldn't have to keep doing it?
Also, I have to log out every night b/c I work in a small office in which we have many different people coming through the office who we don't know in the evening for classes. I can't turn off my computer in the evening b/c that is when my computer is backed up on the network.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you, thankyou.

    Melody Oaks,
Does the disappearing desktop happen if you log out during the day, or only after the network backup occurs? Do you know what program is used to perform the backup (i.e., Retrospect, Backup)?
While not a solution, there's a possible workaround: in System Preferences/ Security, check the box for "Require password to wake tis computer from sleep or password" and don't log out at the end of the workday. If you put the computer to sleep at the end of the day, you'll need to set System Preferences/ Energy Saver> Options to check "wake for Ethernet network administrator access". Sleep in OS X versions earlier than Tiger would interfere with the performance of the cron maintenance tasks, so it'd be better to avoid putting the computer to sleep and instead set the screen saver (via System Preferences/ Dashboard & Exposé) to have a hot / activate corner and use that when leaving, with Energy Saver set for system sleep = Never, unchecked put hard drives to sleep, and display sleep set to something like 15 to 30 minutes. The maintenance tasks are handled differently under Tiger, through, so it's a matter of preference whether you use sleep or screen saver to lock the computer when you leave.
