Items not appearing in folders on Desktop

Hi all, I hope someone ran into this before, or knows why finder does this and maybe I can solve this really irritating bug finally.
My problem is the following:
a) when I am extracting from archives (i.e. Stuffit or just plain zip files)
b) when someone copies a folder with files onto my Desktop
the contents of the folder(s) are not or partially visible.
Just a recent example, when copying over a folder with 56 pictures (approx. 580 MB) from another mac, via afp, to my desktop, the copy finishes, I open the folder, and there are only 26 items. If I run Terminal, do an ls -la, all the files are there, no differences in permissions. If there is a nested folder, which is not visible, I can simply go into it via the Go > Go to folder... menu item, entering the name of the folder.
It is really random what is visible, sometimes the folders are completely empty.
I have both repaired and checked permissions manually on the Desktop, they seem fine (to me). Also, dragging my archives to Mac HD and extracting them there works just fine.
Logging out and logging back or restarting the computer makes the files visible, as normal.
The problem does not affect me alone, I spoke with at least two people, who have the same problem, with no apparent solution. Also, although I run 10.4.6, the problem dates back to previous versions.
Anybody got any hints how to solve this one, or what could be the cause?
I'd really appreciate the help.

I am not aware of a solution, or even an explanation for this particular Finder strangeness. However, I know many of the afflicted respond to the simple treatment of creating a new folder inside the one the Finder is refusing to update, or even simply drag a file into it. The folder seems to come out of the Finder's temporary blind spot, whereupon Finder updates the contents.

Items not appearing on desktop

I am having problems with items not showing up on the desktop.
The main problem I am having is that I have a Moto Q Cell phone, which I use Missing Sync software with. It was mounting on the desktop and then stopped. Everything else works with it on my Mac. To make a long story short, I have written the company, they have looked at the logs and everything appears fine. So I am at a loss.
Then I started thinking about how I will download a program or file to the desktop and it does not appear. However, if I do a search, it shows it is there. The only way it will appear is for me, is to search for the file, then drag it onto the desktop from the search results.
So, my thought is it isn't the phone or the software, but a bug in the OS. Thinking back to pre OS X days, I used to rebuild the desktop. Is this still something that is available in OS X? It has been so long since I had to do that, I have forgotten how.
Any other ideas on what I might do to make sure things are appearing correctly on the desktop?

It should be seen as a disk, you are correct. However all three items are checked in the Finder preferences. I already checked that.
For downloaded files, that is a browser specific thing. If using Safari, open Safari Preferences, select the General Tab and against "Save Downloaded Files to..." choose Desktop. For other browsers there will be a similar setting in its Preferences.

That isn't the problem. They ARE already set download to the desktop and are doing so. They are just not always appearing on the desktop as they should when downloaded. In other words. I should see them there after I have downloaded. But as I stated in my earlier post, the only way I can make them visible on my desktop is by searching for them, and dragging the found file (which IS LISTED as being on the desktop) onto my desktop again and then it appears.
Good try, but neither of these were solutions.

Calendar items not appearing in weekly view

I have a number of account on my Z10 including work email. The work email items are not appearing in the weekly view, just on a daily or monthly view.
Any ideas?

The Fan option does not appear for folders in the dock.

The fan option does not appear on folders on the Dock. Stack option is checked, but all I get is grid list and automatic....running 10.5.2
any ideas?

Not that I know of. When on the side no fan for folders and no 3D look, which I prefer. Background of the Dock very dark so the white dot showing an app is open is easy to see and it all looks very sophisticated.
You might check with third party apps to see if anyone is changing that, but most people don't like the fan so I doubt if anyone is working to add it in.

ToDo Items Not Appearing In Published iCal Calendar

We are a group of homeschool, high school students using iCal together. We each have MobileMe and use it to publish our calendars. Some published calendars show the users todo list, some don't. We have checked to make sure that todo items are published. We have followed all the suggestions found at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iCal/2.0/en/wr20.html. But we can't get the todo items to appear. The problem can be duplicated repeatedly with the same users.

External devices (HD's, digital cameras) do not appear as icons on desktop

This is, I think, exactly the same question asked by Byron B.
That is: external devices (Hard Drives, digital cameras) do not appear as icons on desktop. They used to, but not anymore. I can access them through the finder windows, but no icons on the desktop.
What causes this? More importantly, how do I rectify this?

Vendor open items not appearing in F-44 for clearing

Four line items appearing a past due in the vendor account is not appearing during clearing in F-44. The other line items are appearing. Another finding is that these four line items pertain to previous fiscal year. Is there any setting/config that is disabling these previous yearu2019s line items to appear during clearing.

Hi,
Yes, I do agree with Ravi's comments.
Go to F110, choose the payment run by pressing F4.
There you might see some proposal with status as Proposal created. This means proposal has been created but no postings were made against that proposal.
So choose that proposal
Now go to menu item -Edit->Proposal-Delete...
After deleting the proposal, now try F-44.

         When we run this program, the open items are clearing but not appearing in cleared items,

Hi,
Check the cleared items in table BSIS, if the items are clearing then those items should appear in this table. Otherwise i doubt your program is not working?
Debug the program and check from which tables its selecting the data ie it should select the GL open items from table BSIS.

Has this problem been solved? we have a similar problem here --- after upgrading from 4.6c to ECC6.0, we found that the service PO line items are not being shown in the PO printout. This happens for items that have been marked 'delivery complete'.
How do we get the service lines to print out again? Appreciate any help out there!

Direct sales line items not appearing in VF04 even if MIRO document created

Some of the direct sales line item are mysteriously not appearing in VF04, even though the MIRO for the PO related to it is done. In some cases all the items of sales orders are not appearing in VF04 , in some cases it is happening randomly. Such items can be process manually through VF01 . Also if report SDVBUK00 is run , these line items are seen in VF04.

I think as a consultant you have the say in deciding how the things should be mapped in SAP than the USER.
I dont find any reason other than having the same user id being shared between multiple users (and hence variant cannot be used).
Anyways try this.
Make a Z program copying VF04 .
Give the Tcode which is agreeable for the users.
In that Z program , write a code NOT TO CONSIDER documents of type ZNEW.
Now limit the authorisation of this new program only to those users who doesnt not want to deal with ZNEW.

PO item not appearing while taking GR

Dear Gurus,
While doing GR- PO one PO line item is not appearing.This is a repairs PO with acct-K and it is raised through P.R.This PO consist of 6 line items out of which GR has been done for all line items except 3 &4.Now while doing GR the 4th line item is coming but 3rd is not reflecting. Both line items are same except the description and the price, as it is uncoded PO.The release strt.is affecting if i am making changes to the 4th line item but no changes take place for the 3rd line item.

First you checked that Po is released or not.
2 Delivery date of po.
3 any inbound delivery exist according to confirmation
4 delivery completed indicator
5 Goods already received
6 Check authorization on MIGO screen by entering /nSU53 that all authorizations available.

Internal Item Number " Items not appearing in Sales order Line form

Hi,
We are in 11.5.7 vis. While choosing an item in the Sales order form, only the line items with type 'chargemaster' and 'vendor' appear. The items with type 'Internal item number' doesn't appear anymore. The item validation organization is set to the Master Inventory organization.(V1).
When i checked the pricelist creation screen, with product attribute - item number, the product value field is empty and greyed out for all the items.
I compiled the system Items flexfield. I tried adding a new product to the pricelist with product attribute-item number,product value - A000 .All the items (with their internal item numbers) appear while choosing the product, but the product description doesn't default and the field remains empty and greyed out.
After saving the item in the price list and if i query for this particular item, the product description appears but the product value now becomes empty and greyed out.
Any explanation as to to why this is behaving so and to rectify the same?

Check item category determination (VOV4) whether the item category is determine with the combination of material item
category group,untill the material being read by the system it will not give the line item no,and also check at VOV8 for your doc
type Item no.increment Ex: 10, is maintained or not ,if not maintain and try.

To Do List item not appearing in Reports

Has anyone had success in implementing the To Do List? I followed the instructions posted on Adobe (written by Peter Grainge):
Create a New To Do item (or Edit an existing one)
Check it as completed for a topic
Add To Do List to the items that will appear in a report
Generate a report
The To Do item does not appear in the report.
There's also no indication in the help about whether you can create new items AND edit existing ones (or just one), and if there is a limit to the number of items allowed. Seems like I remember seeing/hearing about certain restrictions of that type when the feature was initially announced.

Open items not appearing in T code F-26

Hi Gurus,
We are on ECC6.0. We are able to see open items in FBL5N but few items are not showing on T code F-26.
Please advice.

In FS10n if i click on cumulative balance line item data not appearing the error MSG is no item exists (see long text).but it showing balances. after that i have checked line item display check box in fs00 every a/c is selected? pls solve the issue

If you have the NEW G/L activate the correct transaction to check the balances is FAGLB03.
Transaction FS10N is for classical GL.
go to transaction SE16 and check table FAGL_ACTIVEC. You can run without passing any parameter.
Then you can see if the new GL is activate as per example:
Table FAGL_ACTIVEC
New G/L Acctg Active Update GLT0 Read GLT0 Method
X
Is this case the new GL is activated. You will not see any values at transaction FS10N in case you are not reading or updating GLT0. Transaction FS10N read the balances from table GLT0 and transaction FAGLB03 read the balances from table FAGLFLEXT.
