Items on my reminders list disappear.

Action items on my default "my to do " list keep disappearing.  Is there a solution?

I've  managed to solve the problem by deleting the entire 'reminders' folder, then creating a 'new list' which I've called 'reminders'
no black line and I can type beyond line 6

  • How to see number of items in each Reminders list?

I have several lists in Reminders, and have to check each one to see what items are in each list.  Can Reminders show the # of items in each list?  Like a badge or something similar to "unread items"?   Thanks.

  • Cannot move an item in a reminders list

Ever since upgrading to IOS 7.0.4 (from 6.1.5), the reminders app will not let me move items from any list below the first 4. It always forces the item back to the 4th list.
I can create new items in the lower lists, and can move things out, as long as the item only moves to one of the first 4 lists. Orientation has no bearing on this.
Any ideas, or is this yet another annoying IOS 7 bug that i can hope will one day be fixed.

This is what I have just tried, on a new empty page. I have a table "users" (userid, usernname, countryid) and a table "countries" (countryid, countryname)
    - put a dropdown list and fill it with a countriesRowSet
    - drop a button and an outputtext on the page
    - in the button action handler I put:
         String v = dropdown1.getValue().toString();
    outputText1.setValue(v);
    return null;
    - when I click on the button, I see the value of the country id in the outputtext: CORRECT
    next step:
    - drag&drop the table "users" on the dropdown list and choose "bind to selection"
    - right click on the dropdown, then "bind selection to database..." and choose the users.countryid
    - edit the usersRowSet query to add the "WHERE userid=22" (for example) so that a single users gets hit by the rowset (this emulates the "current" user)
    - run the app
    - I see the dropdown list, with all the countries in it, preselected with the country whose countryid is in the record for the user with userid=22 in the table "users": CORRECT
    - I choose a different country, click the button...and I always get the same country id in the outputtext (the preselected one): WRONG!!!
what is weird is that the dropdown list correctly keeps the last selected value when the page is reloaded...but I cannot read that value from the code
I don't get why this happens
    thanks again

  • How can I get items in a Reminders List to Sort?

Nevermind that I'm ****** that Calendar lost it's To Do list, and that Reminders is unusable. How do I change the order of the list of reminders? It pre-sorts itself at random. After about 30 minutes of trying various trackpad/keyboard button combinations I got one item on the list to move. I can'r reproduce it to save my life.
The one time it worked I pressed my thumb on the trackpad, held down the fn button, and used my index finder to move the list item. Guess it only lets me do that once.

Nevermind. After more research it is clear that there is currently no way to do this. I'm baffled, but I'll stop trying to do what can't be done.

How do I rearrange the order of items in a reminders list?

ICal Reminders won't sort on the actual device it was intended for - the Iphone
I just talked to Apple Express service over this problem.  I went to the trouble of transferring my to-do list onto icloud Reminders - where each item asked for a priority ranking and where you are then given options for how to sort  all the Reminders you entered - so that it can actually be useable as any Calendar/time management system would be.   I chose "by priority" of course, but you can also choose alphabetically, etc.  It must be said, at least to Apple, apparently, that the point of doing all this is so that the Reminders are available on your actual device - my iphone.  The Reminders all synced immediately to the Iphone.  However, the Reminders list is an unsorted jumble on my iphone.  Even when I tap out a Reminder on my iphone itself and choose a priority, the item remains at the bottom of the list as the last thing I typed in.  Apple Express Support "explains" that the priority ranking and the sorting choices are "not supported" on the device you want to use them on - the iphone.   They offered me "an article" that explains this in detail.   In other words, engaging with the Reminder function and choosing priorities and choosing sort orders is all just a cruel joke wasting your time.  I would have been better off just printing off my Reminders list on paper and circling the high priority items in red ink.  Oh - but you can't print it out either.
Unbelieveable.  Apple's ICal Reminder function actually and actively leads you to engage with completing details and choices that don't even function, or in other words - aren't "supported" on the Apple device they are stated to be designed for.  Is there a device on which this function is actually supported?  "Not at this time"
The only way to have your to-do list sorted on the iphone is to assign a calendar date for each one of them and then they only appear on that specific date.  You would not be able to view your whole list in anything other than the order you happened to enter the items.  No calendar/time management system I know of makes you put a date on every item in a  task list - some tasks have a due date, but most don't.  And every calendar/time management system allows you to sort your list, or view your list in a sorted order.   And print it out also.
Apple advertises this Icloud Ical/Reminders system as a time managment tool and fails to tell us that vital functions don't even work on your iphone.

  • How do I remove Completed items from the Completed Reminders List? The list is growing too long.

How do I delete Completed items from the Completed Reminders List? The list is growing too long.

The little box, next to the reminder on the reminder page.  Touch it, and it puts a check mark there, i suppose to mean completed.  Leave the app.  When you go back, the items are gone.  ( at least on mine...)

  • Where can I find deleted reminders lists?  The stupid phone has erase them 3 times out of the blue, anybody else having this problem?

In the last year I have had an Iphone 4S and the new Reminder app that comes with it.  Three times this phone has just erased Reminders lists I had created.  I thought it was due to being empty or reminders but this week 4 out of five lists disappeared from one moment to the next.  I had entered a couple of reminder in the morning.  When I came back to my office in PM and open the reminder app:  4 lists gone!!  some of them with 3-4 items in them!!
My other phone a 3GS has deleted some of my "NOTES" in the notes app in the same fashion.  I lost very important phone numbers and lists of passwords from one day to the next and Syncing didn't help that or the Reminder problem.  It looks like a repeating problem in different generations.  I never had these problems in my old Treo and it was not that SMART!!

    Hello Christiansted,
    Welcome to the Discussions Boards.
In addition to shuffle, you probably have repeat enabled. When you tap the screen or cover art while playing a song, the scrubber bar has the Shuffle button at the right end and the Repeat button at the left end.
If the circular arrows are blue, it will repeat the album or playlist.
If the circular arrows have a small number 1 on them, it will only repeat one song
If they are white, Repeat is off.
The User's Guide explains this on page 63:

  • All my reminders have disappeared - how can I retrieve them?

I use the reminders app across 2 iMacs, an iPhone and an iPad. Everything has always synced beautifully, until now: all my personal reminders have disappeared (and there were a lot of them). On my home iMac,  iPhone and  iPad, the reminder icon shows a red circle with '3' in it. When I go to the app, those 3 reminders are tasks from my Outlook Exchange calendar. On my work iMac, the reminder icon shows a red circle with '52' in it - that's roughly the correct number of uncompleted reminders in my list. But when I go to the application, they're not there - all I can see are the 3 Exchange tasks. So where have they gone?? The work iMac is suggesting that they still exist... somewhere. If I log directly into my iCloud account, there's still no sign of them.

Are you thinking that the list might have existed locally, one one of my devices, without me realising this was the case? It's possible, I guess. But I added the various reminders from all my different devices - how would that be possible if the list only 'existed' on one of them? I also don't know how I would accidentally have deleted the entire thing. And it doesn't explain why my work iMac is still showing '52' in the Reminders icon - this is the straw I'm clutching at!
I've got various backups - a full backup of my iPhone which is about two weeks old; I already tried restoring the iPhone from this, and it made no difference. I'm  running Time Machine on my home iMac. And this morning, I exported copies of both iCal and Reminders on my work iMac (just in case that's where a local version of the reminder list exists).

  • Deleted Reminders list does not stay deleted, keeps reappearing

I swipe-delete it, it disappears for a moment, there's a moment of network activity, and then it reappears, as if it's being retrieved from iCloud, when I really want it gone from both places. It's not my default Reminders list either. I've submitted this to Feedback.

    Hi,
Please make sure the source list of the lookup column and the list which consumes the content from the lookup column exists on the site collection.
In addition, to correct this problem the following steps should be applied:
    Delete the affected Workflow association
Go to "Central Administration" - "Application Management"
Select the affected web application and choose "General Settings" - "Resource Throttling"
Increase the value configured as "List View Lookup Threshold"
Perform an iisreset to ensure that all in memory instances of the web application settings are gone
Add the Workflow association back to the list

  • Purchased list disappears, re-authorize, making first ringtone

This question really could fit under several categories...
I have an iPhone, and iTunes on Vista version 7.4.1. I haven't done any kinds of hacks or workarounds or anything non-apple to my app or my phone.
During trying to make my first ringtone last night, I purchased the tone. When trying to sync it with the phone, I was told "not authorized to play this song on this computer." I had to re-authorize my PC. After re-authorizing, all my purchased stuff still plays.
How can I re-gather anything that was "purchased" into the purchased list? I don't see a category in making playlists for "something purchased".
Not to mention why it disappeared....?
    Thanks for any help!

SOLVED my own problem. To re-created the purchase list:
    1. Right click the title bar (name, time, artist, etc.)
    2. Choose a new column when right clicking called "KIND"
    3. Kind will give a column with contents like MP3, Protected AAC, etc.
    4. Sort by type. Everything type of Protected AAC is what you've purchased most likely, depending on your import settings.
Fixed my problem! All 187 items back on the list!

A ListItem has its own unique row id so in all likelihood, an insert with the same data will result in a new list entry. The Lists Web Service however, has an UpdateListItem method which will take an update request. [refer

  • Since upgrading to ios8, pages very slow to load, and can no longer read items in my reading list when offline. ?????

SI since upgrading to ios8, Safari pages are very slow to load, Kindle crashes upon opening, and I can no longer read saved artices from my reading list when offline. Big disappointment. Is it possible to downgrade to previous ios?

I actually managed to fix it! But unfortunately I don't know what I was that I did that helped.
Anyways, this is kind of what I did.
    1. I tried to reset form bakup via iTunes, no change.
    2. I tried to reset as a new iPhone, problem still there and reading list also as bookmarks!? (several hundred)
    3. Noticed that I could delete a bookmark, once in a while, the other times I got the 'Bookmarks are being synced. Please edit the bookmarks once syncing has completed.' message.
    4. Because I figured that it was a memory problem, I thought it made sense to delete as many as possible, witch I did.
    5. Noticed that it was more likely that I coould delete a bookmark if I restarted Safari.
    6. Notice that it was even more likely that I could delete a bookmark if I turned the Safari sync with iCould off (with option detete information on iPhone) and then back on again.
    7. When I was about half way through deleting the bookmark list I suddenly discovered that all but one of the items in my reading list was 'waiting' and one was downloading. I kind of was 'unstuck' now.
    8. I started to delete items in my reading list, but every other time I got the 'Bookmarks are being synced. Please edit the bookmarks once syncing has completed.' message.
    9. It took a while to delete all bookmarks and items in the reading list.
Hope you guys could use the info here to fix your problems too!

There is no way to clear the update notifications - unless you delete the apps completely from the iPad and from iTunes on your computer.
Obviously you want to continue to use the apps, so you either have to update the iPad and get the newer versions - or just ignore the update notifications. They will not go away.
