ITMS: Can't seem to browse 'all' subgenre
Greetings.
I was so happy to learn that my album finally made it onto iTunes! I could search for it, and it would come up! What a thrill to see your name on the most popular online music store in the world! That is, until I tried to find other ways to find my album.
This particular problem happens to be with browsing. On my computer, when I click on browse, then choose music, electronic (genre), and do nothing else, nothing comes up. I have to pick a subgenre.
There are five, besides ALL: Ambient, Downtempo, Electronica, IDM/Experimental, and Industrial. If I click on any of those subgenres, I get a list of artists. Works EVERY time. I don't show up in any of those categories. Fine, says I, I must be part of the top-level genre of 'Electronic' and not listed with a subgenre.
The problem: I cannot click all without getting an error. Is this a problem with my machine, my iTunes, the iTunes Music Store? EVERY time I click all, iTunes tries to load artists and says:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request.
The iTunes Store is temporary unavailable. Please try again later.
This seems to happen with a number of other genres as well (Dance, for example).
Any help would be appreciated in trying to figure this one out.
The problem with the error with clicking "all" on those genres is a flaw in the Store and has been reported. No idea when it might be fixed.

Can't seem to get all the bookmark folders in alfabetical order
I have tried just about everything to get my bookmark folders in to alphabetical order most are right but at the bottom of the list there are quit a few folders that are not. I have tried the organize bookmark command than the view than sort than by name but it just wont do it.
I can't get all of my bookmarks in alphabetical order either and I find it utterly preposterous that something as simple as organizing bookmarks turns into a cumbersome search over the internet.
What is maddening is that there is something in Firefox that will alphabetize your bookmarks, but only in half-ass fashion leaving you to scratch your head and ask the question, "what were they thinking?"
What I mean by half-ass is that when I go to "Organize Bookmarks..." highlight the bookmarks menu and then select Views-->Sort-->By name I find that the book marks are not in order after I am done. Why have these buttons if they clearly will not work. I plan to video tape this and put it on YouTube to expose the utter stupidity in something that ought to be trivial.
Has anyone ever considered the case where a user has so many bookmarks that they NEED to be in alphabetical order?
Every computer on the planet organizes ALL files and ALL directories in order. So, tell me, where is the logic in the way Firefox organizes their bookmarks (seems to be chronological)? Chronological might be okay for a small number of bookmarks (like five or so) or recently bookmarked pages, but I have hundreds of bookmarks!
There's a reason why we alphabetize things. How does one find a book in a library?
In Firefox I have organized bookmarks in a directory (and I think this might even work), but this still doesn't address the issue I have with needing to have EVERY file and EVERY folder in ALPHABETICAL order! WTF? This is just idiocy. -
I can't seem to download all my existing purchases to my new harddrive
I've recently had my hard drive replaced and am trying to reload all my iTunes purchases (music, movies, apps etc) but I keep getting an error pop up saying "There was a problem downloading. You do not have enough access privialges for this opperation. please check that the connection to the network is active and try again" I've checked all that I can but nothing is working....HELP!
Simply restore them from the backup of the computer.
You do maintain a backup of your media and other important data on your computer, correct? -
I tried using itunes on his computer and it transferred his pictures and 25 of his 34 songs. None of the apps transferred so when we got to where we had wi-fi I enabled ICloud on both ipods. The new ipod shows where the original was backed up but it didn't add anything to the new ipod. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.
If he still has his or your itunes user and password on his iTunes app, iTunes should let you redownload it again FREE OF CHARGE. Any paid apps you already paid for, will reinstall for FREE.

I tried to send e-mail and can't seem to tried all suggestions used my ISP for quite a while went through all the suggested steps several times I can receive e-mail but cannot send it forward it am asking if there is any other things to try
Your SMTP server host name setting, your SMTP server port setting, whether SSL/TLS is needed or not, amd/or your server login username or password credentais, some combination of these, are likely incorrect here.
These are the typical triggers, when a send (or a forward) fails.
If you have more than one mail account configured within Mail.app, ensure that the mail account you are testing with is configured with the expected SMTP server, and is not referencing the SMTP server for another account.
Connection Doctor (available in the Mail.app menu bar Window menu) can sometimes help figure out some of these connection problems, too. -
Why does Browse All Versions black out TimeMachine view when using Pages '09 in Mavericks?
I have just upgraded from Mountain Lion to Mavericks.
When I click File>Revert>Browse All Versions... for a Pages '09 document in Mavericks, the TimeMachine view just begins to emerge, but then suddenly the screen goes completely black. The only way I can recover (besides restarting) is to click on my second monitor. Then the typical TimeMachine view appears for a fraction of a second as it's exiting back to the current document view. I never get to see the previous versions, let alone work with them.
I can't find anyone in the community with a similar problem.
Also, I definitely do not want to upgrade to the new Pages, which is missing many of the features I use a lot.
How can I get the Browse All Versions view of a Pages '09 document to stay visible in Mavericks?
Note: I just discovered that I could solve this problem by disconnecting my second monitor, or by making it mirror my main monitor. Having multiple monitors seems to be interfering with the "Browse All Versions" function.Yeah, all the more furstrating when you see that osx is less polished than before and Apple take so much time to fix "simple" stuffs... (i.e: particularly no love for dual displays, lot of annoying quircks).
Well, anyhow I posted here because it was the only place google sent me to when looking for this issue. I just answered to the guy since he was alone in his thread and I had the same issue (although not with pages). Just supportin', you see

My macbook pro's screen display has suddenly gone into a strange colour setting where everything appears in a kind of infrared colour palette an I can;t seem to change it back. It's the same for all icon and websites, does anyone know how to restore?
Wow! I think I had this same issue just last night.
I was cleaning my macbook pro retina on the outside. Then I opened it up and was wiping dust off the monitor and I can't pinpoint exactly when, but the colors changed suddenly. It looked super strange, it was like green halo's and it looked worse when looking at it at an angle. Of course I took no pictures!!! I was freaking out that my 2 grand laptop was busted and I somehow removed a protective film or something.
But I digress... The image looked very green and spacey, it was almost a neat effect. After about 5 minutes it started to look a little more digital though. There were straight lines of this halo effect on the edges and top. After about 10 minutes it turned into a predominate issue with the blacks on screen. I could open a web browser and it was unnoticable on a white background. After about 15 minutes, you could only barely see the green cloud effect if you looked at the monitor from an extreme angle. After about 20 minutes, it was completely back to normal, I almost feel paranoid like I see a halo or something strange. But I believe that might be all in my head now.
So yerp, lemme know what you guys figure out. -
Before the Yosemite update. I'm pretty sure I could just drag and drop documents in and out of folders. Now, I can't seem to do that, though the option still exists if i log into iCloud in my browser or even my iOS device. This seems odd to me. Am I missing something?
Where did you recall doing this?
Essentially all file movement is done in Finder, not Pages.

I am using the current fire fox and while on facebook after I hit enter I get the following message"Script: chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser.xml:537" which seems to stall all process'? the computer then takes 3-5 mins to clear so I can do something and it stalls again with the same message...
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

syncing iphone and can't seem to transfer audiobooks that i have put in a playlist. Sync menu doesn't show all playlists. Help
I have the same problem with podcast playlists. When I go to the music window in my iPhone devices section, the playlists I have created on my macbook pro in iTunes do not appear as an option to sync with the iPhone. I know some web radios streams, like the BBC, won't transfer because of compatibility issues, but the playlists of podcasts that I have created consist entirely of podcasts downloaded from the podcasts section on the iTunes Music Store. They used to show up and sync properly before I upgraded to OS 5.1.1, but now they don't.
Does anyone have a fix and am I right in surmising that the cause is a glitch in OS 5.1.1? -
Just downloaded the new ios 7, and I can't seem to get any apps to download in the app store. It doesn't have the meter bar anymore and all it does is have a blue circle spin and spin for over 5 min. without nothing happening! Help!!!
Hi,
This is how App Store app shows now when an app is downloading. If you cannot download anything, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, remove your Apple ID, and set it again. That should work.

Having problems with Home Sharing with the WiFi. Can not seem to get the Apple TV to connect to my iTunes. Must be something running in the background of the router or laptop. Need help.
Yes to all, however ive noticed when I turn on the itues Home Sharing, and it says it is on in the File pull down, it disapears from the Livrary pull down. I attempt to view my Library on my iPhone or iPad under the Remote app and it states i have no songs or content. Although it will let me mirror my device on the TV screen.

I got a new email address and I reset the iPod so it already has the new address. I can't seem to change the address on my iPhone5 or iPad. So please help! How do I change the address for my apple ID and icloud on all my devices? I don't want to reset my iPad and phone just to set new email address I can't do updates without the password and I have forgotten my password for my old email address. Please Help! Getting frustarted!
If the old ID ("email address") is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I recently update my iTunes and it deleted all my songs. I was able to get some back via iCloud but I can't seem to sync my old playlist. Any suggestions??
