Itouch 5g clearance delay?

My ipod touch5 is under clearance delay by Fedex at Memphis TN. Anyone having the same trouble as me? Does anyone know how to deal with this?
The shipment detail says "Commercial Invoice is required.", I can print out my invoice, but after that what? Am i supposed to send my invoice to Fedex at Memphis?

I ordered this over a month ago for my son's birthday and now it has been held for 2 days at Memphis for Clearance Delay. Already missed his birthday by a week. He was really hoping would be here on Tuesday (the promised day from shipping).

I got exactly the same Fedex progress status, "Clearance Delay - Import, Documentation illegible Shipment requires a complete Comercial Invoice" MIne is in Memphis Tenessee, and it arrived there since March 31st, so today it will be 3 days awaiting clearance. Prior to that my estimated time of delivery was for April 4th (tomorrow), but I doesnt look good so far...
I contacted both, Fedex first and then Apple, Fedex said they already contacted Apple and that they were awaiting a fax with proper documentation. A very nice rep at Apple told me she was not sure why this happened and put me on hold for a while to investigate the issue, later on she explained to me that they would get to it and that the delivery date of April 4th was still on, she also issued a $69 cash refund to my credit card as a result of this, which I thought was very nice.
I dont know how often Fedex refreshes the tracking status, but it is usually several times per day depending on activity, as of right now, if my New iPad still in Memphis, I unless they send it air from there ( which I doubt), it will get here a couple of days late, that if it clears customs...
I will update this thread when something new happens. so you re not alone with this issue...

i called both apple and ipad, the told me they were solving the problems.
the shippment stays in customs until they solve it.
how much time does it usually take to get out again for shipping to its final destiny?

NO! It is still stuck in china.
I called Fedex last night, and spoke to a gentleman who said to call today to find out whether or not this batch of Ipods (yours is probably included in mine) did not have the correct paperwork filed by Apple. Some idiot didnt write the value of the product, so it has been sitting there waiting. He however reassured me today that Apple has been notified about this and they will try and get this cleared up tommorrow (Tuesday)
So hopefully, it will leave on Tuesday, and they said the earliest I should expect it is Thursday. If you are a day behind me, you might get it on friday or Thursday.
this is rediculous, never have I ever had a problem with a large company being so grossly incompetent in SHIPPING out a product after it has been paid for. I could understand if this was just mine, but its a whole grate, probably 100,000 ipods or something that is supposed to be comming out like every other day. Someone should be fired for this...

On Oct 24, 2013 I received a new invoice with a different ship date of Nov 12-14, 2013 and will be deleveried in 5 to 7 days after it is shipped.
How can I have a iMac ordered, built to my configuration and shipped and made it half way to my home to be on delay and then be built again and shipped again?
I ordered my Apple iMac and misc. other items that totaled $4200.00 and part of it has been delivered already. Now the main item is being delayed for the last 9 days and then I receive a new invoice? I don't get it. Why do they have it on delay for 9 days when it could have been delivered long ago. I should be enjoying the new iMac not being upset about the current events that are unfolding. I am loosing my confidence in Apple!

Thank you Klaus1 for your reply. I have contacted DHL and for 5 days now they haven't replied to my request. Also I know the order will be released when they want to release it. That's the breaks I guess. The other part of my question was about the second invoice and shipment from Apple. Have they lost contact in their computer of the first shipment or what? If so they need to get it together and fix what could be a big problem not only for me but so many more.

Ok, I know this is old, but as the thread comes up in a Google search for "narita-shi jp fedex", I thought I'd offer a partial explanation...
The problem is FedEx lists all the dates and times as LOCAL dates.
China & Japan are on the other side of the International Date Line from Anchorage, so it is always tomorrow in China/Japan relative to Alaska.
So, Shanghai on 2/3/12 @ 8AM was Anchorage on 2/2/12 @ 3 PM
And...
Shanghai on 2/5/12 @ 7:59 AM was Anchorage on 2/4/12 @ 2:59 PM
Shanghai on 2/5/12 @ 10:08 AM was Anchorage on 2/4/12 @ 5:08 PM
Shanghai on 2/5/12 @ 3:31 PM was Anchorage on 2/4/12 @ 10:31 PM
When the location was Anchorage on 2/4/12 @ 10:51 PM, the time in Shanghai was 3:51 PM on 2/5/12!
No, I don't believe it only took 20 minutes to get there, so there is still something going on.
The only really anomalous location was Narita (Tokyo) on 2/6/12 @ 7:41 AM, which was Shanghai @ 6:41 AM, and Anchorage on 2/5/12 @ 1:41 PM!
The moral to this elongated story is: don't worry too much about the tracking, just relax until the doorbell rings!

Can I disable the album cover view when I turn the iTouch sideways?

So when you I am listening to music, and I turn the touch on its side, it switches from the player to the album view that you can scroll back from side to side.
I don't know about you guys, but I HATE this. I never EVER use this and I think it super annoying that it comes up all the time. And when when i turn the touch back upright.. there is a delay and it take time to return to the player. I wish there was a way to disable it.. or even better, when you turned the iTouch sideways, it showed a wide music player.
Any suggestions, comments, work arounds?

Double tap the Home Button to bring up multi-tasking. Swipe the bar to the right to bring up music controls. The left button is the Orientation Lock. When it's enabled, you see an icon at the top of the notification tray to let you know it's locked. This locks certain applications in the native view (YouTube videos still play horizontally, Music stays in portrait, and photos stay in portrait).

ITouch/Motorola S9-HD solution

I believe I may have a solution for Motorola S9-HD users. I would appreciate if someone else could verify my findings.
I will describe my steps from an unpaired state.
1. Turn off BT on iTouch and restart (hold sleep and hold button until slide off appears)
2. Turn on S9. Wait until light is solid blue.
3. On iTouch: Turn on BT, pair headset, and connect.
4. Test listen music
This generally works the first go round but when the iTouch is put to sleep (top button), then awoke after an extended period of time, and a new BT connection attempted is where I experience most trouble.
So, my solution that works every time I've tested it is to restart the iTouch when I want to use Motorola S9-HD headset.
When I'm done listening to music, I will turn off the headset first, disable the BT radio in the iTouch, and shut it down instead to putting it into sleep mode.
This may seem tedious but at least it works for me and I can enjoy my headset.
Any input would be great and appreciated.

I have had this problem since I purchased my iTouch 3rd generation.
I had an iTouch 1st generation and returned it because it didn't have bluetooth.
All that the Apple store could do for me was to replace my iTouch.
Many hours to reload music and videos and I still had the same problem.
Listed it with Apple tech support and never heard from them again.
I even went as far as to replace my S9 with a S9-HD.
So now I have one for my phone and one for my iTouch. (there is never this problem with watching video on my LG Touch)
For the first time yesterday my sync problem went away. Today it was back again.
I first thought that it had been fixed with the latest firmware fix from Apple.
Unfortunately your procedure didn't work for me.
After trying it several times there was no improvement in the sync delay.
Out of frustration I turned the unit off. But when it asked me to confirm it I changed my mind.
Oddly enough the audio is close to the video. So there is a solution to the problem.
Until Apple can fix the problem so we don't have to.

Fring, Skype, iTouch (2nd Generation)

I just downloaded Fring with Skype Out capability from Apple's Apps store. Knowing that Apple will "soon" release a new in-ear headphone with built in mic. Do you suppose....??
I can't wait to try it out. If it works as I suspected, then it would be great news for I'm a Skype subscriber. Using Wi-Fi, connecting to Skype...making international call using iTouch.
Then again, for you tech experts out there, I might be wrong.

That put the icing on the cake for me, plus another couple of ideas.
It suddenly dawned on me that, where I am, the Skype system has to go through a number of connections, even to place a call within the country. I also compared what I did with Skype on the computer.
For dialing a number, I add the country prefix (in my case +66 -- the 0 key doubles as the +) then the full number, so for Bangkok number 02 becomes +662, then area code and number.
On occasions I noticed that the Skype button was not green, while on others while green there was the instant termination that others experienced. Persistence may be the key here: trying it two or three times finally got it to dial out and connections were made. I tried this on both Gen 1 and Gen 2 iPod touch, although neither has a microphone (I was more concerned with the experiment). Both were able to make it through to a phone ringing.
Using the G2 one and headphones, I could hear myself although there was clearly some delay.

Anyone experiencing diminished battery life and delayed response times with iOS 5 on iPad 1?

Since installing iOS 5 on my iTouch and iPad, the battery life of both devices has been terrible! Before I could get 1-1/2 or more days use, now I'm down to hours without using the device. . .and I've turned off all of the locations services except, find my phone. Next, I'm going to try turning off the auto time zone setting.
I've also noticed diminished response on my iPad when opening Settings, Notes, etc. --like 10+ second delay before anything happens. I'm really considering restoring my devices back to the older OS.

Downgrading the iOS is not supported. My iPad is a bit slower that it used to be, but I havn't noticed any change in battery life.
In terms of response times you could try closing all your apps completely and then do a reset and if that improves things. To close all apps : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
To reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
For battery life have you done a charge cycle since you updated :
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

Itunes slow/freeze when selecting song on iTouch

I rip MP3 from radio and copy to my iTouch. Works fine, but when I want to delete the files (news mostly), the beach ball spins for minutes after I select in iTunes. Sometimes as much as 10 or 15 minutes, before I can select and delete... Some of the files are big (100 or more MB, but still, it shouldn't take so long). Any idea if there is a setting I can uncheck (maybe itunes is verifying the file or something before it lets me delete).

I had the same issue even with music on my local drive and it's been really frustrating me, so today I put some concentrated effort to try to fix it. I don't know what part of this fixed it, but I no longer get the delay and 50% CPU performance. I'm running the latest iTunes on Vista.
I turned everything off in the preferences. I even disabled everything under parental controls. Also, and this is probably what did it, I also pressed the "Reset cache" and "Reset warnings" buttons.
I don't think this did anything, but I chose a random album and actively selected "No" under the option "Gapless album", as this guy suggested in a really old post:

Preview of loops has effect on it (digital delay)??

Previewing my drum loops (all music loops actually) ... I'm picking up digital delay. Where is it coming from?
When I drag the loop to the arrange window the effect is still there ... even though there is no effect assigned to that particular audio track.
I'm just getting up to speed on this Logic update. So I'm at a loss. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.

This is only happening when I am using the beat mapping. I have a piece of audio I've 'beat-mapped'. Now I want to add a loop to it. But the loop previews, and the loops when I add them to the audio track, have some weird digital delay effect on them.
This isn't happening if I'm NOT doing a beat map. Everything is normal.

- The IPod need between two and three time the file download size to download and anstall an app.
- Connect the iPod to your computer and click on the iPod under Devices in iTunes. What is the discribution of storage usage as shown i the colored bargraph? If the "othjer" category is > i GB then try restoring the iPod to reduce the "other"

Huge delay in Printing Crystal Report Layout

Good Day Experts,
I am experiencing big delays when printing a document that makes use of a Crystal Report Layout Design.
For example,
The Sales Quote is set to automatically print when added by the user.
When clicking 'Add', SAP freezes up and only about 30 seconds later does the printer finally print the document.
During that time, the user cannot use SAP at all.
The layout does have a lot of fields and a few formulas here and there.
Logically, I am thinking that that is the reason for the delay, as SAP needs to calculate and populate those fields.
Is there any other way that I could speed up this process? Or if you know what might be causing this speed issue?
