ITouch going to apps on its own

I have tried looking for an answer and can't find one. My iTouch will be on the home screen and go to different apps and go back to the main screen and enter another app and do whatever it wants to with out me touching anything. It will speed up my videos if I try to watch one, and the screen sometimes freezes and I can't touch any buttons on the screen but I can still use the home and power button. I've already tried the all of the Rs but nothing is working. What can I do?

Updated iTunes and did another restore and it is still doing the same thing. It even created an e-mail for one of my contacts.

  • IPad mini is flicking in and out of apps on its own. What can I do

My iPad mini is jumping in and out of apps on its own.  Or when I'm in one and try to close it goes to home screen and app is jiggling then it reopens not closing. Then will start just opening programs at will

It's usually just a problem when the app crashes and then you tap it again and then it closes and opens again, it will usually stop after a few times. If this is happening while you are in an app and it crashes and does that, it's no problem, just wait a couple of seconds and play the app again, nothing will happen. It's no biggie, don't even sweat it, it rarely happens. Besides, it's happened to me too, it does no damage to your IPad mini.

  • My Macbook Pro started freezing all the time & going to sleep on its own for no reason

I've been having trouble for a few weeks with my computer freezing way too often for seemingly no reason - I'm using it exactly the same way I always have with no problems, and even actively trying to have less applications open (which seems to have no effect). I can't always load simple webpages without it freezing and giving me the color wheel and it's just MUCH slower in general. It is seriously making it difficult to use my computer for work  or for fun...
It has also started going to sleep on its own - the screen will just go black (or sometimes BLUE) and the keyboard lights turn off, and the only way to get it to wake back up is to close the computer, wait, open it again and click or press a key. It doesn't respond to any keys/clicks until it has been closed and reopened.
It seems to overheat really easily lately as well - but it does not always overheat when it freezes.
SMC reset did not seem to have an effect. Activity Monitor doesn't show anything crazy, everything is pretty much 0% except Firefox around 7-12% as I'm typing this. 246 GB available on my hard drive so that doesn't seem to be the problem either. Right after restarting my computer it seems better but the problems quickly resurface...
I googled for help before posting this and someone had suggested running the command
    syslog -k Sender kernel -k Message CReq 'Channel t|GPU D|I/O|find tok|n Cause: -' | tail | open -ef
in Terminal, which they said "Normally the command will produce no output, and the window will be empty." But mine gave this:

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

  • N9 randomly, spontaneously opens apps on its own

    Hey There,
So every now and then, my N9 randomly and completely spontaneously just opens and closes apps and functions of the phone completely on its own. This doesn't ALWAYS happen, mostly occurs for a few days at a time, every now and then, but it makes it almost impossible to use the phone at times.
Some examples of this problem are...
swipe and unlock phone, try to open internet(or any other app) and completely different apps open instead, sometimes even run themselves.
I was also in a phone call the other day, and the hold and mute functions operated rapidly and randomly mid-call.
If anyone can help me in anyway, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

<body><p>Sounds like a faulty touch screen layer, have seen similar activity on my friend's phone, his phone is not N9 though. Take it Nokia care point and show them when the screen goes crazy, no choice when it happens randomly would be easy to explain if it happens in front of them.
If a reply has solved your problem click Accept as solution button, doing it will help others know the solution. Thanks.

  • IPod mini goes into pause on its own

My iPod mini goes into pause mode on its own even though the lock is on. I have to then, unlock and press play to continue. Any idea if this is a hardware or software bug. Thanks.

I have the same problem. It is indeed the headphone connection. Sometimes I just barely touch the jack and it pauses, very inconvenient for a mobile device!!! Is there any way to cancel this stupid function? I am old enough to turn my ipod off after use and when I forget it, I will just recharge it. Excuse my sarcasm, but I hate function that are only noticed when causing problems. For now I have to get off my bike and press play everytime the cord moves a nanometer!

  • My desktop screen jerks to the right. It also goes to dashboard on its own.

After upgrading to OS X 10.6, my desktop screen jerks to the right.  The screen also changes to Mission Control or Dashboard on its own.  I am wondering
what I can do to stop this from happening?

I am using the same mouse I was using before the upgrade, and it worked perfectly before.  It almost seems like the mouse might be the problem and yet I am not swipping it.
OS X 10.6.8 and before can be very glitchy with the Apple Magic Mouse. OS X 10.6.8 just makes it very slow and occasionally it will zoom in/out unintendedly but with OS X 10.6 and below it can be more glitchy and cause more problems. I had the same problem with my mouse and I bought a new Logitech M325 actually yesterday. It works great. There's never any glitches, there is navigating with the scroll wheel, and scrolling with the scroll wheel actually feels... good!

  • Mbp goes to sleep on its own. must be very sleepy. but why?

I just bought my macbook a month ago. It's a 13-inch mbp. Somehow my mbp keeps sleeping off on its own, even when I am using it.
    What is happening?

Assuming it's a new MacBook Pro, it comes with 90 days of Apple phone support, which you should consider using. The phone numbers are here.

  • My iMac has been acting sluggishly; taking unusually long to recover from sleep mode as well as it arbitrarily opening an app on its own. What is going on and can it be corrected?

My iMac has begun to act suggishly and unpredictably lately. It takes unusually long for it to wake from sleep mode and often opens with a particular app (PSE) for no reason. What is going on? Is there a clean-up procedure(s) in addition to clearing history & cookies or perhaps a upgrade I missed?

  • Mac Mini sound goes to zero on its own.

I have had my mini since 2009. This issue has happened intermittantly since I got it but has happened several times in the last while. The sound output goes to zero. On it's own. I go into system preferences to sound and slide the bar back to my desired level and all is ducky until it happens again. I suppose I should have spoken to Apple about this when Applecare was still in play but it did not happen much. Silly me. Any ideas about the cause? I am guessing this is mobo related and a cure will be costly. If I go that route.
I run a line out of the headphone jack that splits to my amp and a set of headphones.

Well, it was just a shot at a possibilility.
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), & use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, trash these files...

  • My Computer goes to sleep on its own, then just gets mad and shuts down?

I have a problem i hope some of you wonderful people can help me with. I have no idea why but when i am in the middle of something, doesn't matter what i am doing. my computer fan speeds up, then my computer goes into what appears to be sleep mode ( you know blank screen little light coming on then off in a rhythmic way). if i hit a key it seems to come alive and then same thing happens until it just shuts down completely. I had this happen once before and went to apple online and saw that they had a service extension. i guess my computer wasnt the only one having the problem.. I had it fixed by an authorized apple repair dealer listed on apple.com in my hometown. Its acting up again and i am wondering if it could be anything else....... any one got any ideas?

  • Help!  My Itouch has a mind of its own!

When I power it up and go to the "home Page" it starts going to what ever it wants without me touching the screen at all! It seems that what ever app it in the 2nd row 1st postion is the first to open but when I try to open something else it just keeps on clicking away till it can't go any further without my password. Driving me nuts I'll be in the middle of typing something and it just goes into something else.. grrrr any idea's and sorry if I didnt explain it well it's just so random and driving me nuts!

    Welcome to the discussions,
did you try to reset your ipod by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes up again?
If this does not help, a restore " as new ipod" would be the next step: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

  • Macbook Pro (Retina mid 2012) going to sleep on its own

Did some web searches here and elsewhere and saw no list of affected users.
This wasn't happening before Yosemite, and pretty sure it was happening before latest update (10.10.1).
I'll be using my MBP (2.3Ghz i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD) and the screen will go black.  Could be in the middle of surfing, typing, etc., doesn't matter.  The only way I can wake it is to wait for it to fully sleep (i.e., no more noise heard), plug in to power, and hitting the power button long enough to wake (a second, not 2 seconds which would reboot).
Anyone else seeing this random sleep behavior?  Any suggestions?
