Itouch / iphone contact birthdates - 1 day out of sync

Hi,
I live in NZ and looking at the contacts on my itouch/iphone the birthdate fields are all 1 day later than they should. However they appear correctly in mobileme / address book. The birthday calender on ical and mobileme are also correct. I have all the regions set correctly - very curious. any pointers?

Dave, you should review the discussion on this thread:

It looks like an issue related to how the phone handles daylight savings time.

  • My calendar is one day out when synced from iPhone to imac

I have an iPhone 5s.  I have just bought an iMac 21.5inch.
When I connected my iPhone to the iMac to sync it, the calendar events all came over, but they are one day behind.
I am very new to iMac.
If anyone has a suggestion - I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks

    Hi ellie,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  If your iPhone's calendar events are one day behind when synced to your iMac, check the date and time settings on both devices.  Here's how:

Ensure that your time zone is set up correctly. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone.
If the incorrect date, time, or time zone is being set up automatically on the device, please notify your cellular provider. In the meantime, tap General > Date & Time and turn off Set Automatically. Then set the appropriate time and time zone manually.

  • I import video from iphone and it is completely out of sync

SO I have to use Camtasia, to render the file. Such a shame.
I import 1920 res video and I did not even notice before my movies were out of sync.
I mean is there a plan that Premiere will fix this?  Or we have to start paying double price?
This is a complete joke that you have to use another software to render, much cheaper software instead of premiere, that is useless now for me.
Just have me thinking, I will not buy y newer version because it is useless for my pofessional usage.
So instead of Iphone I have to carry with me bulky camera, so Mr Premiere will be able to render a file without any issue?

It did not work, I tried to save as reference from quictime pro version, still the audio is out of sync. ALso I trie dot rename file from mpg to .mov., still same issue.
People recommend using handbreak program to save to different format than importing to premiere?
    That is a joke.
    TIme consuming.
How can a cheap program like camtasia studio render the file with no problem?  And no audio sync and the big gigantic company like Adobe can't keep up with simple iphone raw material?
    I just dont get it.
I am sticking with Camtasia studio now, but I would love to use Premiere if it would workk.
Maybe Adobe should go to learn how to make a small program from Camtasia.

  • Birthday at contact list 1 day behind after sync.. time zone problem?

I found out my iphone have problem with time zone after my US trip.
I lived in NZ and I used NZ time zone all the time and changed to US zone while I was on holiday..
I found out after I backed and change backed to NZ zone.. all the birthday listed under contact list is 1 day behind. Which I checked the information on my macbook the are all correct and time zone is correct as well.
No matter how many time I sync, the birthday still 1 day behind. I tried to change the time zone to US on my phone and manually update to correct local time. all birthdays are correct. But only thing is the worldtime has been messed up since I manually update the phone.
So this solution is not working...
I tried to re-boot, reset the setting. not working...
Once I updated the time zone back to NZ time to fix the world time.. it mess up the birthday again..
Any solutation to work things around? i am at firmware 1.1.1

If the birthdays and the rest of your calendar dates/times are correct on your Mac, try setting the phone's time zone to NZ and then when you sync, from iTunes scroll to the bottom of the Info tab and check the box to replace calenders on the phone.

  • IPhone 1.1.3, times out while syncing on windows

I've had an iPhone for a day now and everything was fine. Now when I transfer files or do anything, in any USB port on my PC even on my USB 2.0 PCI card, it's painfully slow and then times out. No error number, just a message saying it timed out. I've tried different cables, docks, restoring the iPhone, reseting the iPhone, restarting Windows XP, etc, etc, pretty much anything I could think of. Uninstalling, repairing iTunes...
this happend all of the sudden out of nowhere and it's driving me crazy.

ah yes, isn't it wonderful. it just disconnected about 700 songs into the transfer.
the iphone restarted out of bloody nowhere.
at this point i'm about about to take my music and put it on a mac mini we have in the house that isnt mine, just to sync my stupid phone :/

  • What does one do when a newly purchased iPad is set up wrong at and Apple Store in Bellvue ,Wa.I now have 3 Apple ID's and all of my Apple iphones,MacBooks ,and iPads are out of sync ,not knowing which account is which I'm unable  use any Apple products .

All and all I've spent 10 long days contacting ,calling ,chatting, and at the Genius Desk. When all Apple has to do is correct the mistake they consolidate all these account under my original account ,the e-mail ,credit card ,user name or all the same for these accounts .Why can't the Apple people figure this ,the under trained employ who rush thru this set of my iPad ,iCloud ,and accounts made mistakes and I want them fixed.I want 1 account 1password like I had the day I walk Into the Bellvue ,Wa.    Apple Store. what's the Problem? Why do I get kicked from one department to another department, with the response that is as far as my technical skill allow me to process. The genius desk can help me , iTunes, can't help me,Apple support can't help me,the Apple Store in Bellvue ,Wa. Who created the mess can't help me,Who can help me? it simple open your computer move a few digits correct this mistake it's not rocket science,or is it? Thanks From One Unhappy Customer

Even if you put a credit or debit card on file with iTunes it will still use your balance FIRST.
I would suggest putting a card on file and testing to see if it will allow you to make a purchase, then removing the card from the account after successful download of an item.

  • Sync iPhone contacts without iCloud by using Bittorrent Sync?

iCloud (or iTunes) has messed up my contacts again, duplicating and altering some. Bittorrent Sync is highly recommended for syncing folders between multiple devices without going through any cloud server. It would be perfect for syncing contacts but it's not possible to find the contacts data on an iPhone. Is there a way?

  • TS1347 My iPhone shows appointments a day early when synced with Outlook Calendar...

    Hi,
When I sync my iPhone calendar with Outlook, all the appointments appear a day earlier.
I have looked up earlier discussions on this topic, followed the instructions and have not yet found a resolution.  I have checked all time zones including Outlook, Windows, iPhone time settings and iphone calendar settings and they are all showing the same timezone.
I have read around and some people believe it is because we in New Zealand are in GMT +13hours (at the moment) and the iPhone calendar settings somehow don't cater for this properly.
Either way I have tried all previously suggested solutions and am now wondering if a solution to this had been found by someone, or it has been fixed by Apple.
    Thanks for your help,
    Sue

Tap the rectangle over the 2 lines and make sure it no longer shows up in red. At this point, you should have only the month view, no daily appointments below. Now press on a specific day, and this will either:
    1. Take you into the daily view with the hourly breakdown. If this is the case, tap the three horizontal lines at the top to get the list.
    2. Take you directly to the list view

  • Sync dates a day out, cant sync purchased songs, or purchased apps

i have a new ipod touch which i dont wish to connect to internet. i have successfully sync'd photos and music BUT, 2 of my 4 ical calendars show events one day ahead of where they should be on the ipod??? I have checked both timezones, and have correct date/time on both.
Also, i cannot seem to add music that is purchased, nor an app i purchased on the computer from i tunes.
    Help?

OK, after reading lots of this forum & playing about with the ipod i found in Settings>Mail, contacts, Calendars> a setting called time zone support, and because i am in Sydney and it was set to somewhere in the US by default that was the problem. Have changed the zone to Sydney and now it all comes up on the right day.
Still dont know about the apps & music I have purchased though.....

  • Calendar one day out after sync

The calendar on my iPhone has decided to move all my appointments back a day. This has happened recently, but Outlook still shows all the correct information. My date and time settings are all correct as UK and on the right date. How do I either 1. Bring everything to the correct day or 2. Delete the calendar information from the iPhone and then sync again to try to resolve the issue?

I think this probably relates to an iTunes 9.1 update. See this link

  • IPhone out of 'sync'

    Hi There,
I keep trying to sync my iPhone with iCal on my mac. Events that I have created on my iPhone suddenly become 1 day out of sync (and at random times)after the synching process with iCal.
Is anyone else having this problem? or know how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Vik.

You probably have a time sync issue. Make sure the time zone on the iPhone matches the time zone on the Mac.

  • TS1347 syncing contacts deleted iphone contacts how do i get them back

I syncing my iphone contacts with outlook and after the sync completed it wiped out all my iphone contacts and only synced my outlook contacts. lost over 300 records how do i get them back?

With the first sync with an address book app on your computer that includes at least one contact and the same for the iPhone, a merge prompt is provided, which you want to select. The other option is to replace on the iPhone with what is available in the address book app on your computer.
If this was the first sync for this data, sounds like you did not select the merge prompt when provided.
Contacts are included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. If you haven't synced your iPhone with iTunes again, don't. Try restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup. Decline the prompt to update your iPhone's backup as the first step.

  • ITunes 9.1 no longer synching iPhone Contacts to Mac Address Book

Since installing iTunes 9.1 (79) today. my iPhone will no longer synch to the Mac Address Book. iPhone software 3.1.3, Mac OS 10.6.3 MacBook Pro 3.1. The only thing I can think of is that my iTunes library is on an external drive (not with me). Everything else seems to be working OK. I tried resetting the iPhone (but did not erase content) to no avail.
Any ideas why this is happening and what to do?

Can anyone help with this? This has been an issue for me for weeks. Changes to contacts on my iPhone (the original one) don't show up in Address Book and changes in Address Book on my iMac don't sync with my iPhone contacts. Both seemed to be separate from each other. Prior to this, it has done so flawlessly since I have owed it.
I just tried the following, from this thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=476130):
*1. open address book, go to File > Export > Address Book Archive, save to desktop*
*2. delete all contact info (including groups) from address book, quit address book*
*3. select "sync address book contacts" (all contacts) in itunes info tab (highlight your iphone on the left of the window)*
*4. under "advanced" at the bottom, select contacts under "replace information on this iphone / ipod".*
    *5. sync.*
    *6. uncheck #'s 3 & 4 above*
*7. back in address book, import your address book archive file to restore your address book.*
*that should do it- sorry if this was unclear, need to hit the hay.*
My Address Book imported back in fine. Now my iPhone contacts are empty and won't sync back with what is on the computer. When I click on my iPhone in iTunes and go to Info to click "Sync Address Book Contacts," there is nothing in the box. Prior to attempting the above fix, the iPhone's contacts showed up in that box, but not the most recent version of Address Book on my computer.
I have not lost my Address Book contacts, they are backed up, but I just want to be able to sync it all with my iPhone again. My iPhone contacts are currently empty and I could use them for work today.
Any ideas would be much appreciated -- thanks!

  • IPhone out-of-sync with Exchange after performing inbox search?

    Hey everyone,
I work as an IT technician for an Enterprise where the majority of end-users utilize iPhones (4 and 4s) and iPads (all versions) with varying versions of iOS. Many of these people have ActiveSync set up with our Exchange Server (2008RS, Exchange 2010). We have received a pretty consistent amount of user complaints for a while where end-users' iPhones will [seemingly randomly] become out of sync; i.e. they delete an email on their iPhone and their Outlook doesn't reflect this for hours or visa-versa.
We have traced this down to indexed searching with the iPhone. In a nutshell, if an end-user tries to search their inbox for an email using the search feature, this is when everything becomes out-of-sync with Exchange. The workaround is restarting the phone (for some reason restarting the Mail app doesn't help).
I am curious if anyone has more information around this or perhaps a fix so we're not having to tell people (namely Executives and VIPs with larger inboxes...thus searching is used more) to restart their iPhones all the time.
I thank each of you in advance for any advice you may have. Thanks!
    -Ryan

    Hi mehrardt,
It does sound like the exchange email account has to be removed from the iPhone and then added again.
If he has another personal email account on the iPhone, you can have him delete the exchange account and then tap a configuration profile that you emailed him.
The iPhone Configuration Utility available here: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/enterprise/ will let you create a configuration profile with certificates, which you can email. The receiver would just tap the profile and it would configure the iPhone.

  • IPhone photos not seen in iPhoto - iPhone and iPhoto out of sync

Normally when I connect my iPhone 3Gs to my iMac, iPhoto '08 opens and my iPhone is recognized and all photos on the phone are shown in iPhoto, ready for import. However, my iPhone and iPhoto now seem out of sync. Without my iPhone connected, I opened iPhoto and it shows my iPhone in the device list; instead of showing photo thumbnails on my iPhone, iPhoto displays empty boxes where the photos would ordinarily be. When I connect the iPhone, iPhoto continues to show the empty boxes, rather than the photos on my phone. When I try to import one of the "invisible" photos, I get an iPhoto error message: "The following file could not be imported. (The import failed.)" How can I correct this behavior so that I can import iPhone photos again?

    Try trash the following file
    com.apple.ImageCaptureNotifications.DeviceDiscoveryDatabase.501
    from HD/Library/ Caches
    and restart your mac.
    Regards
