Itouch is not turning on

I went to go open my itouch when it froze. Then it has been stuck on the shutting down symbol and loading sign for the past hour. So what do I do? #help

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

My itouch is stuck with the apple symbol as if it was downloading something. I have tried to reset it by turning it off but it will not turn off. Any suggestions?

Itouch will not turn off without running out of battery

My iTouch has been refusing to turn off easily for months now. I push the sleep button and slide to turn off, and then a loading circle appears. The only way to get rid of it is to allow the battery to fully run out. I can also restore my Ipod to factory settings, but it then takes hours to restore all of my information. This ipod has never been jailbroken, and otherwise seems to run smoothly, although it often experiences sync errors, which is why I want to turn it off in the first place.

you may have software glitches, but as for your touch, you can force it off, by holding the power and home button until it turns off. cuts the power. itll still turn on but its off now isnt it?

connected the charger and after about 5 seconds the charger exploded with a bang and you could smell burnt circuits and the screen went black and hasn't started since then..

When all of the magic blue smoke comes out your device is toast, and unless your device is still under warranty there isn't much you can do except buy another iPod.
BTW: If you were using an Apple brand charger and the failure was not due to an electrical storm or a problem with the house wireing, you may be covered.....

After I updated my 2 Iphones and one Itopuch the bluetooth on one of the phones and the Itouch will not stay on. When you go to the general settings to turn it on it shows on but the icon disapears when you go to home scree or leave general seetings.

After I updated my two Iphone 4's and my Itouch bluetooth problem occurred on two of the three devices. One of the phones and the itouch will not keep the bluetooth on. When you go to the general settings to turn it on it show on and the icon pops up but as soon as you leave the general settings the icon disappears and will not show up in the home screen. It will not pair with any devices. It will search for and find them but won't pair because the icon will not show up meaning it is off. What can i do to fix this problem that I believe was caused by the update.

Sounds like we have a similar problem. Four days ago I was playing music through a wireless Bose speaker via bluetooth and everything was fine. Then I was texting while listening and got 2 texts about the same time as I was typing one and my phone went black. I pushed the home button and it worked, went into my texts and all were there. However ever since then the time isn't right, so it can't keep time no matter what I do. The bluetooth works only at times, the wifi keeps jumping on and off, sometimes my data won't work and the other day I couldn't even turn it off, so had to wait until it died. The battery life display at that moment wasn't correct either. Took to Verizon, they couldn't help. Suggested a factory reset, which I did last night and still the same issues! One day I couldn't even text my husband on his iPhone. Just wouldn't work at all. Did everything suggest and still not good. Seems like after stalking these pages today a lot of people are having this problem in Dec/Jan and of course also I'm 3 weeks out of my 1 year warranty and so were many others, by days. Very strange, and all on the 5C. What did you do? Is it working now?

Itouch not turning on and charging

I was playing a game of scrabble on my itouch (3G) and it suddenly turned off. I tried to turn it back on and when I did the apple logo would appear for about 5-7 seconds and then it would just shut off. This process repeated until the itouch died. When i tried to charge it, it would do the exact same thing and not charge. I tried restoring it but too no avail. itunes does not read it at all...I don't even get an error. it shows me the picture to hook it up to a USB and charge it but it tries to turn on and fails so like i said before does not charge. I did update itunes and the itouch software recently. The battery life has been really short... I basically have had to charge it daily for a couple weeks now. I mainly use my phone charger since it has a USB port.
I am wondering if you could shed some light on this issue.

IPod touch will not turn on even after charging and holding buttons

iPod touch 4th gen will not turn on. I have charged it on computer into a USB port for hours. I have held the SleepWake button together with the Home button for 10 sec, 20 sec, 30 sec, and 40 sec. I have tried releasing the SleepWake button first. I have tried disconnecting it from computer then repeating the sequence of buttons. I have tried different USB ports. I have tried reconnecting the iTouch while holding the buttons. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Itouch is not not connecting to WiFi after 3.1.2 download

Earlier today I was on the app store on my Itouch and I saw there was an update. I got the 3.1.2 update for my 1st generation Itouch. Right after it was finished updating I could no longer get on the app store or any other app that uses the wifi. I have restored my itouch, I have turned my wifi off and back on again, I have turned the Itouch off and back on again also. The WiFi shows up and it has full bars. I have heard many people are having this problem, but does anyone know how to fix it so I can get back on the WiFi? (I know it's not my WiFi connection. I am on my laptop right now with no problem)

This just happened to me, and here was the solution to my problem.
Turn off your router for several minutes, and turn off your Touch.
Turn on your router and let it power up fully.
Now, turn on your Touch and try to access the wireless signal as you had before the update. You should be able to access Safari, YouTube, and other sites.

Touch will not turn on

I bought the latest itouch and it is only 9 days old but will not turn on....I was reading books on it and it froze....now nothing...it shows in my itunes yet it does not turn on...I have done a restore on it...I am assuming it doesnt turn on ..maybe it is on...its just that the whole thing is black and nothing happens when i press any buttons..can any body help me ...many thanks

If it's recognizable by the computer I'm thinking that it's actually turning on, just not displaying anything on the screen. Try connecting it to your computer and resetting it, by holding the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together for about 10-12 seconds.
