ITouch - iTunes issue

My problem concerns podcasts I download directly from itunes using my WiFi network at home to my itouch. Until last Friday, when I would check for latest podcasts (as an example, ESPN Pardon the Interruption), the itunes store on the itouch and my Mac both showed the latest version. Now, when I check via Wifi on my itouch, itunes does not have latest version of podcast but itunes on my Mac does example: (itouch shows latest for PTI is Friday, Jan. 7th, Mac shows Mon, Jan. 10th, so I have to download to Mac and sync via usb cable. Anybody, have any thoughts why this is happening? I reset itouch but that didn't correct the problem. Thank you.

I've noticed this too. I think it's an issue with Apple not updating the feeds in their mobile iTunes. I've recently used an app called podcaster that updates all podcasts on the go. It's what should be able to be done in the iTunes app. Podcaster updates the podcasts the same time you would get an update on the computer. Hopefully in future iOS updates they'll allow over the air updates of podcasts.

  • How do I revert back to my itouch iTunes account?

I purchased an iPhone this weekend and when I plugged it in iTunes gave me the option of using existing account or setting up a new account. I set up a new account using the same username and password as my old account thinking my apps from iTouch would show up since I'm using the same login info but that's not the case. Now I'm trying to figure out how to simply use my original iTouch iTunes account to use it on my iPhone so that they will both have the same apps. Any advice on how I can go about this?

Restore "as new iphone" and use the ipod backup to restore from after that.

  • After updating with iTunes 12.1 for Windows 8.1, when I restarted my computer, my headphones no longer work. According to my computer they do. Is this an iTunes issue?

After updating with iTunes 12.1 for Windows 8.1, when I restarted my computer, my headphones no longer work. According to my computer they do. Is this an iTunes issue? I did the audio troubleshooting and it says everything is fine. I have a Toshiba Satellite L75D-A7280.

Download/install an app is a know possible solution.
    3. Install another app from the App Store
If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.
Note: If you have installed apps using multiple Apple ID accounts, you may need to perform this step for each account.

  • Ipod Nano skipping songs... IPod or ITunes issue?

I purchased an IPod Nano and signed up for ITunes. I purchased a CD from ITunes and synced it with my IPod. That worked fine except for one huge issue - the IPod skips right over 5 out of the 12 songs on the CD! The songs play fine through my computer (Windows XP Pro SP2), just not on the IPod.
Is this an IPod issue or an ITunes issue? Has anyone dealt with this before?

  • New software update still not downloading.  Apps updates have all downloaded since iTunes issue resolved.  Is the software issue also related to this, or is there another problem?  This is on my iPhone 6, not my Mac.

Trying to download the iOS 8.2 software update on my iPhone 6, but it won't update.  All app updates have resolved since the iTunes issue was resolved.  Is the software update issue related to this as well, or is it another problem entirely?
I've synced it to iTunes, turned it off/on, etc., but still not downloading.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi DebC64,
So is the iOS 8.2 update not downloading to your iPhone, computer or both?
You have synced it to iTunes, that is an option to update if it's not updating wirelessly.  Please see if other steps help.

  • When I connect my iTouch iTunes stops

When I connect my Itouch, iTunes stops, I got windows 7 home edition 64 Bit, I used to sync with no problems but now itunes doesn't open and the computer stops, and I have to reboot to try it again.
    can anyone help?
any help is greatly appreciated, BTW I did reinstall iTunes like 4 times already.

What is the complete wording of the error message? Usually an error number is also provided.

  • IPhoto and iTunes issues.

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
I am having some problems with my iPhoto at the moment. I have over 15,000 images in the library, and they all appear in thumbnail format under their respective dates, however when I double click on any image between roughly image 6942 and 12428 to enlarge it and look at it on full screen, a blank window is all I see, there isn't even a thumbnail of it where it should appear in full size.
Can anyone suggest what I could do to rectify this problem?
I have archive and installed the original OS X discs, as suggested by an apple store rep and it hasnt fixed the problem.
Also now iTunes gives me an error msg when I try to run it saying that it will not run with this version of OS after the reinstall. Previously, iTunes would not connect to the apple store either, and would not find the CCDB info when importing a new CD, and he also told me that an arch and inst would fix this.
Maybe a couple of probs here, but the iPhoto is the most pressing I guess.
I would appreciate any suggestions or knowledge!
    Cheers Trent.

Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). A Finder Window should open with the file selected. Does it?
As to the iTunes issue, best to pop that one over to the iTunes forum:

  • Windows 7 and iTouch sync issues

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit.  I installed iTunes 64-bit as well.  Yesterday when I tried to sync for the first time it too me reconnecting and or restarting my iTouch 2 or 3 times before iTunes would recognize it.  My CPU recognized it right away.
Today, while trying to sync it, it is not recognizing it at all.  Also, when I load iTunes, it is taking forever to load and usually goes non-responsive for about a minute before it fully loads.  When I connect my iTouch, iTunes goes unresponsive again for about a minute but the iTouch never pops up under the "devices" tab.
Any and all advice would be very much appreciated.

back up all the files on your iTunes first. I'v experienced problems with installing and using iTunes on Windows 7 to the point were I am going to switch to mac. But thats ireavent. It took me 4+ times of downloading, deleteing, and redownloading iTunes before I was able to acually use iTunes. I'm pretty sure the problem lies in Windows 7 and not iTunes because I haven't had a single problem with Vista and iTunes. If its just slow try rebooting your system, I know I sound like an IT guy, but try it first to see what happens. Hope this helps.

if your computer is not recognizing it, try using a different USB port or different usb cable. if that doesnt work you will need to uninstall and reinstall itunes.

My playlist has dissapeared from libraray itunes issue or windows problem?

    Hi,
It's pointless to use that ammount of ram under Win9x/Me as it will be slower then if you use only 256MB witch is the optimal ammount for these OS'ses.
So you better take 256 out or move to Win2000/XP....

  • Finder and iTunes issues.

This past week or so, iTunes has been force booting itself at seemingly random times.
This has been causing me issues when I am working on video or audio projects, as when iTunes boots it eats almost all of my RAM and causes most of my programs to lock up, even if only temporarily.
When this happens Finder eventually loses connection to my LAN and ejects my external hard drives. When I try to reconnect to them, the operation either times out, it says the drives can't be found or that my LAN isn't running. I should note I'm using an AirPort Extreme base station to create my LAN and share my drives.
To try to solve this, I have tried force quitting Finder, but then it won't start again, instead citing some error code.
This again becomes a problem when trying to shut down as Finder is required to complete the process. The only way I can get around this is to force reboot my computer by holding the power button down until my MacBook shuts itself off.
Immediately upon reboot, all programs that were affected by iTunes and RAM loss take an EXTREMELY long time to finish booting.
All my software and drivers are up to date.
I'm running OSX 10.6.8 on a late 2010 MacBook 2.4GHz Intel Duo core.
AirPort is Extreme 2nd version running version 7.6.1
    ==Update==
It seems two reboots are required for my drives to show up over my LAN.
After the forced shutdown and reboot it doesnt work.

I've gotten everything running again, but iTunes still persists in force booting itself when I don't ask it to.
I've checked my sync and update settings on my iTouch, but it still does it.
I've gotten past the Finder force reboot issues by just telling my computer to reboot when my network is experiencing difficulties.
This has also solved the issue of said drives and network not showing up again upon reboot.
Programs still take ages to boot if they were not quit properly (ie. iTunes caused massive lock up and programs had to be force quit), and this is still affecting my work flow negatively.

  • Itouch & itunes

I am currently setting up my mom's itouch (the generation before they came with cameras) onto an HP latop. When the itouch is plugged in the itunes claims that there was an error and couldn't do anything. This was my old computer and in the past I have set up an iPod Class, an even older iTouch, my current iphone 4s and my iPad 2. I don't understand what is going on and would like to know if anyone has any suggestions! Thanks!

Hey Cabledude27, I have same issue, been happening since the Jan update. Only I haven't been as lucky as you, I've had to un-install and re-install ITunes each time this happens (and it's happened about 4 times since the update) I'm still looking for a perment cure...

  • Reset required after purchasing song on iTouch iTunes

This has happened to me twice. After purchasing a song on my iTouch, it completely messes up the sorting of my songs by Artist. I make extensive use of the Sort Artist field so that artists are sorted by last name in iTunes. After purchasing a song on my iTouch, however, the artist list is completely messed up. Artists are still sorted by last name, but there are "heading" rows for each of the first names. For example
    --J-----
    Jason Mraz
    --S-----
    Shawn Mullins
So, the artists are still ultimately sorted by last name, but the bars to separate the artists are showing up at the change in each first name. To fix this requires a reset of my iTouch and evrything goes back to normal.
The other issue I'm having when this happens, purchased content on my iTouch will not synch/transfer to my computer. So I'm losing songs every time this happens.
    Very frustrating!
(I have iTouch version 2.0.1 and iTunes version 7.7.1.11)

Has anyone else experienced this? It happens everytime I purchase something on my iTouch. Very frustrating!
