Does anyone know if it is now possible to sync both ways the iTouch with Outlook in a Windows environment? I continue to hope so to finally let go of the Palm LifeDrive. Any assistance would be most appreciated.

It is possible to sync contacts and calendar entries from your Outlook but I would be careful, if my experience is common among other iPod Touch users. Don't let the iPod sync unless you have a backup of your contacts available in Outlook. I have found a number of anomalies while syncing to Outlook. Yesterday, when I synced my iPod, iTunes created a number of duplicate contacts on my iPod. When I deleted the dups and re-synced to my PC, it deleted the duplicated contacts completely from Outlook. Today, I changed a contact on my iPod while at lunch and synced with my PC when I returned, only to discover that the contact I updated was only partially updated in Outlook (I updated the "note" section for the contact on the iPod and in Outlook, some of the note was updated and some of it was not; unfortunately, I was not able to get the missing data back, so it's gone). This afternoon, I noticed I once again have scores of duplicate entries on my iPod Contacts and I have no idea why. The duplicates are contacts I haven't opened in weeks, so it's not that I changed them in Outlook and the sync tried to update them on my iPod.
Until I can find some solutions to these considerable problems, I've turned syncing of contacts off.
While I have synced my calendar entries, I haven't paid as much attention to their accuracy as I have my contacts, but cursorily, I haven't seen any problems.
It would be helpful to have a setting such that syncing could be made one-way, for example, Outlook could update the iPod, but not vice versa.

Outlook web app not working properly in Safari since switching to Yosemite

I have installed/upgraded to Yosemite first on my MacBook Air (13-inch, 2011) and then on my IMac 13.2 (27inch, 2012). In both cases I have experienced the same thing: when trying to attach a file to the message written using the Outlook Web App, I get only upper part of this window and while I can browse for the file, I cannot attach it as I cannot reach and click the "attach file" button. Needless to say this is really annoying!
I did not have this problem before upgrading to Yosemite and Safari 8. The same function still works if I use Firefox or Opera.
Anyone had similar problems and any suggestions how to go around it without switching back to the old OS X?

I could zoom in once and then it wouldn't work anymore by using the pinching on the Magic Trackpad.
Pressing Command and +/- still worked.
I deleted Safari 5.1 and reinstalled the Combo Update to get 5.0.5 back and it worked properly again.
Then I installed 5.1 another time and had the same error again.
I guess I got to roll back to 5.0.5

Windows Apps Not Launching and Store Not Functioning (with logs).. to do with "Local AppData"

I keep my "Local AppData" folder along with a handful of other settings folders on a separate SSD so I can format monthly without losing a beat.
I notice that each time my Local AppData folder is located anywhere other than it's normal location, Windows Apps do not launch and the store produces the "Your purchase couldn't be completed" error.
Two of my friends do the same thing that I do and have the exact same result.

What app do i need when i try to open a download and it says cannot open file, windows app not supported by osx

I am trying to download a video from the net and it appears in my download box, but when i try to open it, a message comes on that it cannot be opened because my system does not have the proper app to open windows. Can any one tell me what app i need to install on my macair to open my downloaded video?

You probably need to search for Flip4Mac to view a Windows video file on a Mac.

Windows Apps Not Working in Windows 8

Every single one of Windows 8 apps don't open when I click on their tile. When I click on the app, the opening screen pops up and then it goes straight back to the Start menu without starting the app. I can't get into the Windows Store, therefore I can't

Any idea what is causing this? I have the same issue on two very different computers. Windows 8 Enterprise is activated.

Windows apps not working since repair.

My system (asus f553m laptop) had to go for repairs, motherboard died and was replaced.
Since getting it back i have not been able to access emails on hotmail, the PDF reader no longer functions, startup screen pops up for a few seconds then reverts back to the start page.
is this a possible reason? motherboard was replaced with a different CPU motherboard, Originally was a Bay Trail, and now is a later CPU.

Some Outlook tasks only showing up in Outlook Web App, even if they were entered in Outlook 2013 or on the iOS email client.

A user creates tasks in Outlook 2013, his Exchange email account on his iPhone and in the Outlook Web App (Not Outlook.com). A small number of these tasks will only show up in the Outlook Web App, though, no matter which platform he entered the
task from. He can enter a task in Outlook 2013 and it might not show up on the task list in Outlook 2013 or IOS after that, but WILL show up in the outlook Web App task list.
At first I thought sorting was the issue, but we compared all tasks in both Outlook 2013 and OWA, sorted by due date, and, sure enough, some were missing from 2013.
What I am not sure of:
If/how long a task will be visible on the platform it was submitted before it begins only appearing in OWA.
How long ago this started
I couldn't find this issue in the community or with a quick google search.
I am going to see when he is available to sit down and go through tasks to see if there is a pattern and try replicate it so I can see how long it might be available on the submitting platform before disappearing.
I can provide any other info needed. Thoughts on this issue?

I would suggest you reset the view if you found some tasks in Outlook missing.
VIEW tab -> Reset View.
Or we can simply start Outlook with the switch "/cleanviews"(Restores default views. All custom views that you created are lost):
Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /cleanviews” in the blank box, then press Enter.
Check if this helps you find the missing tasks.

setting up my brothers work email on his new windows 8 tablet. I successfully connected it to outlook and he is receiving email on outlook.com however it does not seem to be syncing with his tablet at all for some reason telling me the account is unavailable?

Open the Mail app and then right-click on the bottom of the page to launch the Mail app's task bar. Then in the far bottom right, click on the
More button and click on Sync.

Hi,
Is it possible to show your tasks in the calendar view in Outlook Web App 2013 ?
Some explanations of what I want to do :-)
We use Project Server so user can encode their work, this tasks are sync with an Exchange Server 2013 so tasks can be view in Outlook Web App. It's working really fine but we also want that in OWA, tasks are showed in a calendar so users can share what they
have to do.
How can we add the tasks into a calendar or how can an user can easily share what he do ?

Tasks are not listed in
calendar in Outlook/OWA, To view task you will have to go to
Tasks folder or view the task
in To-do bar. You can also see the tasks for the day
in calendar folder if you go to Daily Task List. There are no Add-ins from Microsoft that can add
tasks in the
calendar along with Meetings/Appointments.

I upgraded to Firefox 8.0.1 on may MacBook OSX 10.6.8 and not all files I download from my Outlook Web app are ashx file, not what they were originally sent in. How do I change this ?

I have just upgraded to Firefox 8.0.1 on may MacBook (10.6.8) and now all files I download from my Outlook Web app labeled attachment.ashx, not as they were originally sent (.docx, .pdf, etc). How do I change this back?

I'm going to back up to Firefox 7 next. I'm getting the drift that 8.0.1 and/or flash on 8.0.1 are unstable.

Firefox window is not shown and not even in the tasks bar, but there is a process running in the task manager

Clicked on the Firefox icon , but window did not appeared, checked in the Task manager, there is a process running with firefox.exe, and could not see any icon in the task bar adjacent to start button

I discovered that when the "Firefox is already running . . . ." message pops up I can fix it by doing the following [note: I get the same message for the Thunderbird e-mail program too] : 1. I open 'TASK MANAGER" and click on the "Processes" tab. 2. Next I scroll down until I see Firefox.exe *32 in the leftmost column (or Thunderbird. exe *32 if the message came up there), highlight that line by clicking on it and then click on the "end process" button on the right side on the bottom. 4. A pop-up window will come up but ignore its message and click on the "end process" button in the pop-up window. The program should then start the next time you click on the icon..
While that saves the need to restart your PC to fix the problem, I have yet to find any information as to the reasons for those two processes to show up in the first place. I'm running the 64 bit Win 7 Professional and do not know if that has something to do with those two processes running from time to time or not. The message comes up often but not all the time and I haven't been able to pinpoint any action on my part where the message comes up if I do '''X '''or the message never comes up when I do '''Y''' before closing Firefox or Thunderbird.

Trying to use the Tour 9630 with Outlook 2003 Calendar, Memo/Notes & Tasks. Can't Config & Complete....

I would like to use my Outlook 2003 with my Blackberry Tour 9630 to use the Calendar, Memo & Task features instead of entering everything on the BB. I use my Outlook Express 6 for my email input and output. The Outlook 2003 is not connected to the internet for use but on my computer as a free standing application. Everytime I attempt to config the Desktop with Calendar, Memo & Tasks I get a "Option Values is unacceptable. Pls check options properties". I do pick MS Outlook as the application to connect but continuely get that message above when I am at the end of the config process at selecting NEXT. I would like to use Outlook 2003 if it is ok to use and connect. Or is there any other application that I can easily purchase for an easier connect and config too. Pls assist me. Ed

The BlackBerry communicates with the Outlook data folder, called a pst.
KB02362 may offer you some help trying to get the sync configured.

Ah. The Windows 8.1 app you're using is the Bing Health & Fitness app, not the HealthVault for Windows app. That clears things up.
Unfortunately the unsatisfying answer I have for you is that there is a known issue that Bing's app stores exercises in a way that HealthVault can't properly display. The Bing app team is aware of the bug and working on a fix.
I wish I had a better answer for you.

Do you know if Bing team has fixed the way they store data in HealthVault so that I can actually export my workouts as GPX files?
