ITS applications do not close sessions

Hi all,
we have ITS based version of ESS, as well as one BSP application, all integrated in EP 6.2. The problem is that applications do not close sessions, as it is pretty visible e.g. in transaction SM04. I checked the setting of ~disconnectOnClose=1. Small popup windows closing the session are not visible.
We use SSO based on SAP logon tickets.
EP 6.0 SP2 P5 HF8
ITS 6.2 PL 14
SAP HR 4.7 PL38
SAP Basis 6.2 PL 48
Any idea?
Thanks,
Pavol

Hi,
After i upgraded my ITS from 610 to 620 Patch level 4 The disconnection was working fine with poping the disconnection.
But after applying patch level 17 itw as not working even though the parameters.
~timeout
~disconnectOnClose
~userTimeout
I tried all the option and even created massage in OSS but no luck.
SO i have to revert back to 620 Patch 4 and now working fine.

Prem

  • Data entered by ITS application partly not available at BSP application

    Environment:
We have an old ITS application to enter absences and presences to SAP HR.
And we have a new BSP application to delete absences and presences.
Both applications are available for the employee in an employee self service, that has an navigation developed with BSP.
    Problem:
All data entered with the ITS application, could not be deleted in the BSP application, if the user does not log off. Or until he deletes one dataset, that he did not entered after the current login. If he deleted one old dataset, all new datasets can also be deleted.
The ITS application stores the data with the function HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA.
The BSP application deletes the data also with the HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA function.
But its strange, that I can read the newly entered data with select from the Database or the function HR_READ_INFOTYPE. But when the users selects this dataset, the BSP class currently read, the HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA cant delete, because of the message "no data in timeperiod". Even the function 'BAPI_ABSENCE_GETDETAIL' reads the data.
Seems to be some kind of buffer problem. Reading the data is possible, but trying to modify/delete does not work.
    Also this did not help:
    *using more commit works.
*Try to initialize buffers with the functions "HR_INITIALIZE_BUFFER", 'HR_PSBUFFER_INITIALIZE', "HRPAD00_FREE_PLOG_TAB" or "HR_PSA_CLEAR_BUFFER"
Trying to delete the absences with the function 'BAPI_ABSENCE_DELETE' instead of the HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA function (without DESTINATION and with DESTINATION 'NONE').
Does anybody has an idea, why my BSP application works fine with all datasets, entered before the current login, but can not delete datasets I newly entered (but I can read them, I only cant delete them!). And what is more strange: after I delete on old dataset, then I can delete also the new datasets!

Is your provisioning profile for Development or Ad-Hoc distribution?
Also, it would help if you posted a screenshot of you target settings as well as your Info.plist file.

  • Application will not close. I need help

I have an application on my Mac that will not close. No windows of the app are visible, and when I try to open a new window, nothing happens. If I secondary click then click quit, nothing happens. I want to update my software to 10.7.1, but I can't because the application will not close, therefore the computer will not restart. How can I delete or uninstall this application while it is open?

Have you gone to the apple menu and tried force quit?

  • Asha 311 radio application does not close.

The radio application in my asha 311 does not close. I tried using the back button first, but when I swiped the screen the radio showed up so I used the end call button and then it showed "Radio Off". But then again when I swiped to check whether the radio has closed, the radio came up once again. I tried switching off the mobile and turning it on. That didn't help either. Tried connecting, disconnecting the headsets and i still have the radio open. I am unable to close it. Any suggestions?
Its only a week since I bought the Nokia Asha 311 and this is the first ever problem that I am facing.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Hey, its nothing wrong. You've added shortcut to radio on the swipe screen. That's why it shows you the radio screen
change the shortcut to something else (dialler) and that's it

  • Applications will not close.  Have to use Force Quit.  Why?, Applications will not close.  Have to use Force Quit.  Why?

I notice alot that when I click on app icon in the dock and choose 'Quit', the application does not quit.  I eventually have to go to Force Quit to make it close.  Any idea as to why this happening and how to avoid it?

    Hello,
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
    Does that change anything?

  • Application will not close

SQL Developer will not shut down. I am running it on OS X with java 1.5.0_06.
When I tell the app to quit it just ignore the command. The app will still continue to run fine but I have to actually kill the process to quit.
    Nathan

Well the issues seem to be that the quick key and the menu bar will not work.
If if choose File->Exit from the menu bar withing the application SD will close. If I choose Quit from the OS X menu bar it fails. On the same note if I try and use Command(Apple Key) and q it will not quit.

  • Mail application will not close OR force quit

I own a macbook pro running mountain lion.  The problem is that my mail application says its open but i can't find a way to close it or force quit it.  Is there any way to stop this bcause it won't let my computer shut down because mail is open. Thanks.

3rd party Safari items would include SafariStand, SAFT, PicLens, Inquisitor, etc. They are installed in your HD>Library or User Account Library>InputManagers folder.
I suspect you may have created some directory problems (on top of the existing problems) when you shut down your computer with applications still active. A second time won't matter. After the shutdown, restart holding down the Shift key until the log-in screen appears (above the Log-in screen you'll see "Safe Mode". After the log-in completes, go to the Finder: In your HD>Library, look in the Startupitems folder for any odd items. If anything is there, let me know what is installed.
If nothing odd there, then restart the computer, except this time hold down the P/R/Command/Option keys until you hear 3 chimes. Then release the keys to continue to the log-in etc.

  • If I close Firefox, the application does not close.

If I close the firefox window (Windows 7), the program stays running as a process in Task Manager. It will not allow me to re open the program.

Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.
    * How to stop the running Firefox process
** In Task Manager, does firefox.exe show in the '''<u>Processes</u>''' tab?

    * You may need to try Firefox Safe Mode
** You may need to use '''Safe Mode''' to locate the problem: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode
**Firefox Safe Mode is a diagnostic mode that disables Extensions and some other features of Firefox. If you are using a theme, switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes '''<u>before</u>''' starting Safe Mode. When entering Safe Mode, do not check any items on the entry window, just click "Continue in Safe Mode". Test to see if the problem you are experiencing is corrected.
** If the problem does not occur in Safe-mode then disable all of your Extensions and Plug-ins and then try to find which is causing it by enabling '''<u>one at a time</u>''' until the problem reappears. '''<u>You MUST close and restart Firefox after EACH change</u>''' via File > Restart Firefox (on Mac: Firefox > Quit). You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window.

Because you need to buy iLife 08 or newer on DVD first. If you're using iDVD 05, you probably have a PowerPC Mac and can't use iLife 11.

  • I download itunes it says its successfully installed. then when i try to open it it says "apple application support not found" PLEASE HELP!!

I download itunes it says its successfully installed but then when i try to open it is says "Apple Application Support not found"

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)
