Any status on the next one, there are quite a few suggestions out there for new features, I am just wondering when the next firmware update will be released.

We don't give out details on firmware releases. While we do continually improve firmwares and players, there is no guarantee a firmware will be released for a certain player. You didn't mention which one specifically you have, but it's something to bear in mind.

Try the following steps:
Plug your iPod Touch to your Mac/PC using USB cable.
Open iTunes software and choose “backup to this computer” .
Then you need to do a sysncing.
Go to iCloud (iPod Touch: Settings > iCloud) and delete all previous backups.
Then in iTunes, Turn on “backup to iCloud” again.
On your iOS device, now you are able to backup to iCloud.

Additional info on this:
I strongly suspect this is time machine-related. Even though time machine has been turned off, this happens at intervals of exactly one hour.
A single entry appears in the kernel log at the precise moment the (first) popup error box appears. This is:
"AppleSRP started."
Anyone have any clue how to go about diagnosing or fixing this? I don't even mind trying something brute force (short of wiping the HD and reinstalling lion, which I really DON'T want to do; I don't mind a non-destructive reinstall).

Sounds like all the settings that you may have adjusted to save power (screen brightness etc etc) have been defaulted back to factory.
If you jump into all the settings and turn off what you dont need and turn down what you do need it will be the same as before.

I have an iPad2 and have been experiencing problems since the last software update. My iPad randomly freezes and has to be shut down and restarted to move between apps. The screen also suddenly enlarges and can't be reduced in size without shutting down

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same issue of the screen freezing or suddenly enlarging. I'm having to shut down and restart as much as five or six times a day. This has been happening pretty regularly for the past week or more, but seems to be getting worse. Could it be the last software update?

Close all apps in Multi-Task Window.
1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view

What version of OS X are you running? If your MBP came with an installation disc, try booting from it and using Disk Utility to verify and, if needed, repair your hard drive. If you're running Lion or Mountain Lion and your computer didn't come with an installation disk, try holding down the Command and R keys whilst booting and try Disk Utility.

It sounds like your imagination is better than most. All I can and will say, is that i really bet there will be at least 12 apps that will never be used, and cant be uninstalled. Which like the amount of time it has taken "Big Red" to get the update out to us, is rather pathetic at best.

My add-ons have disapeared and the layout of mozilla is different since the last update to 4.0.1, why?

The following add-ons have totally disapeared from my mozilla, but are still working since they are popping up. they are: WebMail Notifier, FoxClocks, Download Statusbar Mini along with some others. Not only did this happen, but the whole Mozilla Firefax layout has been scrambled ever since the last update has been applied.

To make v4.0.1 look like the previous version, do the following.
* Right click a blank part of the tab bar and click "Tabs on top" to remove the checkmark. Tabs will subsequently reappear below the location bar.
* Repeat the same steps, but click the top one called "Menu bar". This will reinstate the text links at the top.
* To rearrange the layout, repeat the same steps but choose "Customize" from the menu. A panel will open and while that remains onscreen, you can move elements like toolbars, buttons etc around and place them anywhere you wish. You can also drag anything you don't like into that panel and add anything you want by dragging it out of there.
* To replace the status bar at the foot of the page, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/

You are right the Iphone is locked into the carrier softbank from Japan and its not the 3g model its the one before it, I am not sure what model.
If your iPhone is not the 3G model - it is the one before that, this means your iPhone is the first generation iPhone or the original iPhone, which WAS NOT sold officially by Apple in Japan. The first generation iPhone was sold officially by Apple in the U.S. as carrier locked with AT&T, in the UK as carrier locked with O2, in Germany as carrier locked with T-Mobile, and in France as carrier locked with Orange and as officially unlocked by Orange. The ONLY country where the first generation was sold as officially unlocked was in France, which is required by French law.
The original iPhone - the one before the 3G was not sold by Apple in Japan directly or through Softbank.
Did you purchase your iPhone from Softbank or from an Apple store in Japan ? If so, this would also mean your iPhone is carrier locked with Softbank since the iPhone is sold in Japan officially as carrier locked with Softbank only, and this would be the 3G or 3GS, not the original iPhone. This would also mean you are roaming internationally with Softbank with your iPhone in China. This is what i got when i tried to add alternate hierarchy to my shared dimension. I tried to delete it and it messed up.

I'm playing around with it to write a blog post and it is crazy. Only possible workaround (till now i'm not able to figure out a solution to it) is to copy the application and deploy it as a new one. Take copy of all objects (forms, tasklist etc). Delete the corrupted application and rename the new one to old.

Its been several months (many upgrades to the iMac software during this time), and now when I try to reconnect the external dire (Use a firewire cable) it does not recognize the drive is there. I also tried "reloading" software from the Western Digital site, but after following all the instructions, it looks like my iMac doesn't support this software (I can't even locate it after I follow all the instructions.

First of all, you do not really want to use their software; if you want a bootable clone, use either Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. If you simply want to drag and drop some files, you don't need software to do that. The important thing on any external drive is that you format/partition it correctly (Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and using GUID partition scheme).
Unfortunately, I don't know anything about WD drives or their software, so I don't have any idea what kind of backup you did. Having said that, it should still recognize the external even if it's outdated. Have you tried mounting it manually in Disk Utility? If you can get it to mount, you could (worst case scenario) just drag your stuff off onto your internal and then reformat the external.
