Where do i execute statements like select * from.... ??
Generally with any SQL / DB Tool we expect an SQL Editor/Query Window. Like we right click or double click on connection or DB and we get query window.
Here we just get it for only if we want to modify something in table/procedure. Really Dumb..!!
I am using SQL Explorer, DBViewer plugins for Eclipse. atleast they provide nice basic toolset to use.
I have to search and figureout something called scrapbook to insert and test basic sql queries
I was expecting a good easy -to-use plugin tht has adequate feature to work with Oracle DB in eclipse.

You can only update the iPad to iOS 5.1.1and you cannot go any higher. If you never updated that high, you can do so by using iTunes on your computer. You will have to connect the iPad to your computer with the cable and launch iTunes
You can read more here. Make sure that you read the section about using iTunes. The article starts off with using the Settings on the iPad for WiFi updates. That only works with the iPad 2 and higher that is already running iOS 5.

It is a very impressive phone.
You might want to look at FILES or FILES LITE. I use it for pdf and excel files.
Also, Trapster is very good for directions. And police radar/redlight cameras.

Time machine won't backup, yet plenty of space & not much used on Mac HD

Well, this is yet another "Time machine won't backup becuase there is not enough space" thread. I have searched Google and threads here but it's still a mystery why this error is occurring and it seems there is no clear solution. I also looked at the Apple Time Machine errors FAQ as well.
Here are my specs and what I have tried so far.
2010 Mac Pro Quad Core with 1 TB hard drive with 12 GB RAM. (137 GB used so far on internal Mac hard drive disk, so about 863 GB free space).
- New external 1 TB hard drive initialized as Time Machine backup disk when inserted for the first time.
The exact error I am getting is this: "This backup is too large for the backup disk. The backup requires 1.80 TB but only 999.20 GB are available."
I have tried deleting the Time Machine system preference, reinitializing the external disk, clearing the system caches with Cocktail, restarting and letting Time machine ask me all over again if I wanted to use the external drive for Time Machine. Still the same error.
My question is how on earth can 1.80 TB be required for the backup when I only have 137 GB of used space?

Two possibilities:
There's another disk (or disks) connected to your Mac. If they're formatted HFS+, Time Machine is trying to back it/them up as well. You can exclude them per #10 in [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum). The 1.8 TB includes 20% for temporary workspace on the TM drive, so TM is estimating the backup at about 1.5 TB.
Something on your internal HD is corrupted, causing an incorrect calculation. Verify your internal HD, per #6 in [Formatting, Partitioning, Verifying, and Repairing Disks|http://web.me.com/pondini/AppleTips/DU.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Using Snow Leopard+ forum).

How can send emails over a eircom account i read some were this not possible is ther any fix for this as i am thinking of buying a ipad Air not much use if you can not send emails or answer them thanks

I believe you can only look a your emails if you have a eircom email account and you can not send or answer them with a eircom account if this is so can anybody tell me if there is a fix for this problem or would i better off just useing another email account that will work with ipad Reason i ask is i am just about to buy a ipad air and if this is not possible to use my email address to send emails from my ipad i would be better off with my laptop Thanks Napster

Start button still not much use or am i missing something here

I had hoped the new start button would bring back the old feel of windows 7 were I can click it and get to see the application groups. When I press the start button and then press apps I get the full list of every app, thinks like calculator and calendar.
What I was hoping to see was the menu hierarchy as it was in windows 7 like accessories and then click again and get to the lower level things. I want to have these menu type levels or this just feel like windows 8 all over again which wont do it for
my users they will just tell our team to stay with windows 7 till Microsoft fixes windows 10. I am sorry to sound negative but I haven't seen what my users where crying out for and I need help to figure out how to make the menu type start button work.

I am afraid, at the moment, the only way to go back to the "good old days " of Win 7 Start Menu will be installing a 3rd party program, and there are quite a few. Some are compatible with Win 10 TP, some are not.
You might want to use the Feedback app and voice your opinion. Hopefully Microsoft will listen to you and give you what you want in the next new build or even in the "final release".
They don't know what you want unless you tell them.

It sounds like this iPad was purchased second hand. If so, you will need to contact the original owner, otherwise your iPad will remain Activation Locked.

I want to know why my phone gets really hot in use and not in use.

I am using a iPhone 3GS 16GB, been using it for over a year now. Recently, it has been heating up regularly. I understand if it on charge. But everytime I use my phone to play games or reply text messages for no longer then 15mins, it gets heated up so much. What iOS version are you running? There have been cases where people have been complaining of their iPhone 3G/3GS overheating. If you have a white version of the 3GS, watch out because this can cause discoloration.

Sounds like your iPhone is locked to your home carrier.
See if they offer unlocking and if you qualify. Otherwise,
there is nothing you can do besides rent/but a cheap

I checked the status of the server and hard drive by booting off of the 10.4 installation disk, select utilities and disk utility.
I know very little about terminal, however I'm pretty good at dos so I can figure some things out if given some commands.

Use the sim tool that came with your phone or a safety pin and just insert it into the hole at the side of the sim tray and push it in and then pull it out. It is no more difficult than that and then just close it again.

Also I have noticed opened windows that I have not opened.
I have verified the sharing folder and also the remote access but it not let me turn it off.
Also I have add a password to my computer and even using the same one it looks like is not working.
The I photo stopped working, Mac Mail does not let me add rules (this is from one day to the other)
The computer is mine, the internet I use is payed by me with a password. I did not give permission to anyone to use my computer or share my files.
In system preferences in the sharing folder is showing everyone and staff.
My computer is private I do not own a company and I do not have a network set up in my house.
I had my photos removed from my computer and even after trying to reinstall I photo and fix the Mac Mail is not working.
I am receiving emails saying that I have sent emails to people that I do not know and including in a time where I am working and not using the computer.
Any suggestions in how to fix this issue?

With the multitude of issues you have I would take it to an Apple store or AASP and have them sort it out. Then I would sign up for Apple camp or one on one.
