Its Says Its Locked?
I need some help with my 30GB video iPod. When I hook it up to my computer with the usb cable to take songs off, I click on my iPod in the menu on the left in iTunes, and at the bottom it has a little lock there. It won't let me take off any songs because the songs are all gray like it won't let me select them. The top switch on my iPod is not in the locked position, so how do I unlock it to remove songs in iTunes?

Click on LIBRARY in the menu, not your iPod. Delete whatever songs you want and then update your iPod.

You need to follow the instructions in the second half of that page
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
So you need to click on the 'If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer' heading and follow the instructions underneath it -

i forgot my passode to my ipod and im trying to restore it. i went through some steps. says connect ipod to itunes then when i connect box comes up n says i have to unlock my passcode to my ipod which i dont know. i thknk its lock now. want come back up to the passcode screen

my old version mac book air does not start up so i tried to reinstall lion but it says its locked. how do i unlock it with out being able to start up the system.
Could be. The "lock" isn't actually looking for a password.
WARNING: This will completely erase the ENTIRE hard drive.
What you would need to do is boot to recovery > disk utility > select the MAIN drive on the left side > partition > change partition layout from CURRENT to 1 PARTITION > ensure on the right side it says Format : Mac OSX Extended (Journaled) then push APPLY.
Then if it will allow us, close the windows until you see the 4 options popup again and select "Reinstall Mac OS X" select the Mac HD and you should be good to go! -

My Ipod nano says its locked and screens on and it's staying frozen. I have tried pressing the menu and select button simultaneously and still not reset. What should I do?
Right click on the iPod Nano icon. "Eject" should pop up. At least that is the way it works on Macs.

go t-mobile and they said 2 day later you can use this iphone. But now I cant use. this phone say its lock. But t-mobile was unlock it.

I found an iphone over one year ago. Its locked with a passcode. I kept waiting for the owner to call it. They never did. I went to an AT&T store today, they put a new sim card in it. and told me to go home, log on to itunes, and restore the phone to "factory settings".But itunes says the phone is locked and it needs the passcode to reset it to factory settings.
Any workaround? Or, am I doing something wrong here?

JoeSounds like you may be the owner of a new phone! If you don't need or want it and no one claims it you probably can sell it. Check eBay to see what the going rate is.

Ok so everything is messed up! Not happy. I have some kinda antivirus trying to make me buy there stuff. But thats not all its locked up my computer from downloading anything or updating. Its call Antivirus Scan!!!!! If I try and open Internet Explore it locks it up and says "Internet Explorer Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!" and I have a window that keeps popping up saying "Application cannot be executed. The file wuauclt.exe is infected.

I am signed into the App Store on my iphone 4 and one of my apps need updating and my brother is signed into it because I didn't have any credit to make an ID so he signed in so I could download apps but its like its locked to his Apple ID I have tried signing out and turning my phone off its just not working please help.
Apps are locked to the Apple ID that was used to download them. You will have to sign in as your brother in order to update it.

When i came home i called apple to check whether my phone is locked or not and they said that its locked to US Verizon even though when i checked on iphoneimei it said sim status unknown. I put my 2degrees (NZ carrier) in today and it worked fine. I got into the settings and turned off the automatically part of carrier and there were 3 options for me to choose 2degrees vodafone and telecom. Because of that, im quite confused abt whether my phone is locked or not since im from vietnam so i want to know if i can use vietnamese sim card when i go home. Thanks for your help@verizon
Hi tranvietanh - I appreciate you contacting us all the way from New Zealand! I can confirm that the iPhone 5s and all of our other 4G LTE device are not SIM locked. As the carrier in New Zealand may not support the exact same frequencies and cellular bands that we use on our network, we are unable to support the device if using a 3rd party SIM.

i bought this apple ipad from pawn shop and have receipt. its locked by previous owner and pawn shop had no info on previous owner to contact. how can I delete all content and start fresh so my grandson can use for college?
If it's activation locked, you can't; go back to the shop and ask for a refund.
