I can't get on iTunes it's saying it's wrong when I no its right HELP!!!

Have you tried logging out and back into your account on the iPad and seeing if they are then recognised ?
If that doesn't work, then try going here and click on 'Manage My Account' and sign in to your account. Then on the left-hand side select the 'Password and Security' section and see if you can update your questions/answers.
If you can't change them there, then underneath the security questions is there a link to have a 'reset email' sent to your Rescue email address ? If there is then click on it.

  • Need small help

    Hi,
I need small help in sql*loader.I get data-files which has a particular identified on the 1st record( header ), based on which I've to load a constant for the 1st column of every row. How do I set in the control file.
Appreciate if someone can give me directions on this.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi again!
I hope that a little shell script will do the thing for you.
    1.) Create the following BASH-Script
    #!/bin/bash
    export CUSTNO=""
    export CUSTNO=$(awk -F"," '{print NR " " $3}' datafile.csv | grep 1 | cut -d" " -f2)
sed -i 's/#x#/'$CUSTNO'/g' controlfile.datI've use datafile.csv as the name of the datafile to load and controlfile.dat as the name of your controlfile. Please change this to fit your needs.
This script looks for the occurrence of your constant value and stores this value in the variable CUSTNO. Then it look for a string #x# in your controlfile and changes #x# to the value of CUSTNO.
So in your controlfile there should be a line for custno like that:
custno                     CONSTANT '#x#'This line will be replace in your example to:
custno                     CONSTANT '35642'To get this to work I assume that:
1.) Your constant value is always at the third position in the header of your datafile.
2.) You've made the change with #x# in your controlfile.
I hope that this is really usefull to you.
    Best Regards
    Florian W.

    Hi mltmj123,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
To address this issue, I would suggest you close all open apps, then restart and reset your iPhone.  Here's how:
iOS: Force an app to close

iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

  • How do I eject (or get out somehow) a mini cd I slid into my MacBook Pro CD slot (rather stupidly not thinking about its small size not being a good fit)?

How do I eject (or get out somehow) a mini cd (3" size) which I slid into my MacBook Pro's CD slot? (Rather stupidly, I admit, not thinking about its small size keeping it from being a good fit.) And of course, it didn't seat on the cd's spindle, and thus is not being "seen" by the computer as being present when I press the eject button, so nothing happens. Because the CD slot has a membrane covering the slot, I can't see in to locate where it is or to try and slip it out manually, either.
Details about my computer, although I don't know that these are needed, are as follows:
      Model Name:    MacBook Pro
      Model Identifier:    MacBookPro8,1
      Processor Name:    Intel Core i5
      Processor Speed:    2.3 GHz
      Number of Processors:    1
      Total Number of Cores:    2
L2 Cache (per Core):    256 KB
      L3 Cache:    3 MB
      Memory:    4 GB
      Boot ROM Version:    MBP81.0047.B27

Thanks for your suggestion, although it didn't work for me. The one that did suggested inserting a sticky note - sticky side down to catch the disk - and slowly pulling it out. I was dubious, but it worked just like magic!

  • Computer restarts on its own, help!

Hey all, perhaps this isn't the right place in the forums, but I just don't know where else to go. My computer just in the past 24hours has been restarting on its own saying 'Your computer was restarted because of problems' or something along those lines. From what I've gathered online this may indicate a kernal panic, but I just don't understand on those other sites how you go about solving this problem or even what it means fully. Is there something I can do on my own, or do I have to bring it into the mac store? Please help me if you can, I am not very tech savvy but I will try to do my best to save my mac. It is a new macbook pro retina display and I just don't understand what could have happend. If it helps I am going to copy the specs below, and thank you anyone who takes the time to help me with this problem (sry i know there is a LOT of text below):

Disconnect all third-party peripherals. Quit all active applications. Do the following:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

  • HT203171 Macbook pro trackpad not responsive, opening apps on it's own, moving screens on its own, help!

Hi, I've been having a few issues with the trackpad, mostly with clicks lately. Today the cursor went rogue and started opening all sorts of programs and files, moving to different screens and opening things there, generally going crazy and not responding when I tried to use it. I rebooted several times before it decided to stop on its own -- I'm not sure the reboot had anything to do with it. I took a video of it with my ipod, but it's too big to upload here. Any suggestions before I open cocktail and and run repairs? Thanks for any help you can offer.

My Macbook Pro started to experience the very same erratic behaviour. At first I noticed that it would happen if the MBP was on a flat tabletop surface. If I placed the MBP on my lap, the magic pad seemed to operate properly. It was very consistent. Since this is a capacitative surface, I tried an experiment. I placed the MBP on a tabletop surface where it's exhibited the malfunction. Then I used my other hand on the flat surface areas near the magic pad while using my right hand to manipulate the cursor. It appears that touching the casing with my other hand seemed to calm down the erratic behaviour. When I used only one hand, the erratic behaviour returned.
I'd searched several forums to no avail. No one seemed to have a solution or an explanation so I just lived with it.
However, by coincidence, I was experiencing what I believed was an unrelated issue. One of my USB ports was no longer responding to devices plugged into that port. While searching for a solution for the USB port, I stumbled across a post where the user suggested resetting the SMC. I'd never heard of that before this post. In his post, he mentioned that erratic Magic Pad behaviour could also be caused by the SMC.
    He instructed to
    1. Attach the MagSafe power cord
    2. Power off the MacBook Pro
    3. Press the L-Shift/Control/Option and Power button at the same time and hold.
    4. Release them all at the same time
    5. Then power on the MacBook Pro
Not only did my USB regain functionality, but it appears to have resolved my erratic Magic Pad behaviour. It now operates as it had done when new.
For reference, I'm using a MacBook Pro 13" with the Intel I3 processor and Lion.
I hope that helps somebody else as it did for me.

  • IMac does not go to sleep on its own- HELP!

I have an iMac G4 17", it's about three years old, and I absolutely love it, except now it does not go to sleep on its own. It will go to sleep when you select Sleep from the Apple menu, but not when it has been inactive. In system preferences under the energy saver menu it is set to sleep after being inactive for five minutes (screen sleeps after three), and the screen does power down, but the computer itself never goes to sleep on its own (you can still hear the processor making noise (fans?) and the little white sleepy light doesnt come on) I can't seem to figure out what could be making it stay awake (no applications are running), I'm not sure if it has something to do with my external DSL modem (though i think i had the problem before i got the dsl), I tried turning off the "wake for ethernet network administrator access" and it didnt change anything. Any help?

This is for a Mac that won't sleep.
First, read things in Apple doc.#25801 on sleep settings.
Here is Apple doc.#303698 with their tips.
    Mine follow;
USB devices and hubs often cause Macs to not sleep or wake quickly from sleep (notably HP printers and scanners, HP all in ones, and Cannon scanners). Disconnect all USB except for keyboard and mouse and try. If it sleeps, add one back at a time testing after each one to find the culprit.
If you've set your Mac to recieve faxes, it may not be able to sleep. It might also have a damaged preferences file.
If you use your Mac for faxing, open System Preferences. click Print & Fax, click the Faxing tab, and uncheck the Recieve Faxes On This Computer box.
If that does'nt work or you've never faxed on your Mac, go to Finder/Hard Drive /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and delete the com.apple.PowerManagement.plist and com..apple.AutoWake.plist files (if your Mac asks, type your admin. password).
If the latter file isn't present in the folder, go to user name(probably your name)/Library/Preferences, delete the com.apple.systemuiserver.plist file, and reboot your Mac.
    Hope this helps!
    P.S. One member here reported this (Michael Gleason);
"I have had this problem with my IMac G5. It is surprisingly irritating. LaCie's Silverkeeper backup software was the cause. By default it gave itself permission to wake up the computer to check if a backup was needed. Do you have this or a similar program installed which has scheduled activities including wake-up permissions as an option?"
Dave Hamilton provided this link, xlr8yourmac.com, to a member, which addresses failure of deep sleep with some users that updated and added new FireWire and USB cards.
tomhorvat adds this; After few days of messing around I found out that I had desktop background (wallpaper) set to change every 1 minute.
After unchecking "Change picture..." in system preferences (under Desktop/Screen saver), my powerbook went to sleep all by itself.
    Cheers!

  • My iTunes keeps opening on its own HELP!!

I really need help here. I have Googled this for a while now, and I can't find any fix. My iTunes will just spontaneously open on its own, sometimes it'll play the first song in my library and other times it won't. This has been going on for a few months now, through multiple versions of the iTunes software. Currently, I am using version 10.5 on Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6.8). I do not have plug ins that interact with iTunes installed anywhere on my computer, nor do I have widgets for iTunes. I do have devices I connect to iTunes, but I've disabled the Wi-Fi sync, thinking that was the culprit. It actually seemed to work at first when I did it, but now the problem is back in full swing and I've now gotten to the point where I need to store the iTunes app in the trash so the computer no longer has access to open it. I tried entering in "killall iTunes" into Terminal, based off a suggestion I read somehwere else, and it of course quits the program, but then iTunes just opens up again 5 seconds later. Has anyone found the reason this is happening? I see a lot of similar complaints, but NO answers and Apple support seems to be blind to the issue. I would appreciate any advice I could get on the matter, thank you.

That's crazy, LeonieDF, but i think you are Right!
itunes autolaunching was driving me nuts, i removed my headphones from the headphone jack on my macbook pro, and voila! No more problem. What a wierd bug.

  • A small help about comparing the MB & the MBP!!

    Hi guys,
When i was thinking about getting a MacBook/Pro the main couple of things that took my attention about getting a MBP is the ability to make its HDD 320GB, Backlit keyboard, better graphic card & its bigger screen...
now with these new AMAZING MacBooks, u can have the 320GB HDD, Backlit keyboard, and of course its 9400M NVIDIA graphic card with 256 MB!!
now, HOW GOOD is this 9400M on the MacBook?? i watched the podcast of the launch for these new line of MacBooks/Pro and saw the difference between the last gen and this new gen!!
but how good it is compared to the 9600M 256MB that u find on the MacBook Pro??
i love working on Photoshop, not that much of a 3D, Flash, Gamer...etc guy! maybe some games but not a heavy game user, but as i said i love working on the photoshop and these pack of graphic design!!
WILL the MacBook be a good deal holding its 9400M graphic card??
and is there any difference between the "Sound" of each of them? or both have the same quality but the speakers are in different locations?
oh and the MacBook i was thinking about is:
    2.4 GHz
    4 GB RAM
    320 GB HDD
    it's 256 MB 9400M graphic card
and all the other default stuff!!
I am a PC user STILL (I know!!) and now i so much want to BE A MAC person!!
pls give me your advise guys and what do u think!!
    Thank you so much

    Displays:
Yes, there is a difference between the screens on the MB and MBP. The MB screen horizontal viewing angle is pretty good, the vertical one is fairly restricted. Both angles were better than my PB 12" 867MHz laptop but worse than my iMac 24" (2006, non-glossy screen). The MBP screen angles were very good in both directions but were just beaten by the MBA which I also looked at.
Bottom line: IMO all of the displays are acceptable for consumer use and better than my current laptop.
Well, i read the Engadget review for the MB & MBP! and there IS a difference with the screens, i guess i better have a look myself when they are available here so i can judge how much is it good/bad!
    Trackpads:
No it wasn't me, there is a difference between the MBs and MBPs on display at the Store. This has nothing to with the OS catching clicks, it is purely the mechanical feel - as I said before I found it difficult to double-click reliably, I kinda stutter.... No such problem on the MBP. Strangely, the MB in John Lewis did not have this problem so I noted the machines' serial numbers: they were both Week 41 of 2008 assembled in China.
Bottom line: I'd probably get used to the MB trackpad's feel. It is strange that machines made during the same week exhibit, to me at least, different feeling trackpads. To come to a conclusion I need to try a third or fourth store and probably a different week's production.....
hmmmmm so the feel is different between the Apple store and JL (and yeah i know it very well )
so i guess the MB vary with their Trackpad feel/touch!!
and i read as u go up on the trackpad the resistant get higher for the click even tho it is still clickable!!
    Did that help?
IT HELPED A BIG TIME really! i don't know how i can say Thank you other than words
    u r wonderful
and i guess of course they will feel/look better than ur PB 12" and i know coz of the glossy screens!!
so all what i must do is just wait for couple of weeks till they are available at our Premium Reseller so i can run there and have a compare in real life
    Thx again my friend (flower)
